Bucky met someone while he was in Wakanda, but then he disappeared during the Blip while she stayed. Then Bucky comes back, helps defeat Thanos, and Steve tells him he's leaving. Confused and overwhelmed, Bucky all but tells her to move on. Then his therapist sends him on a mission to make amends with people that he's wronged, and Bucky knows she has to be on the list. My take on a Superman-style character existing in the MCU, starting out as an immature kid who fights crime because it's fun and eventually becoming a great hero and champion of earth.
