"Welcome back to the final half of the final match of the Vertress Conference." Don George exclaimed. "At the halfway mark Ash Ketchum was in the lead with four remaining Pokemon to N Gropius's three, as such Ash will be going first!"
"Alright then, Duosion come on out!" Ash called out.
"Archeops let's go!" N called.
"That thing again." Rosa said, remembering seeing it atop Dragonspiral Tower.
"Duosion use Future Sight!"
"Archeops use Stone Edge!"
Archeops flapped their wings, their eyes glowing as a flurry of rocks flew up from the ground at Duosion, the psychic type foreseeing an attack before quickly dodging the rocks.
"Duosion use Telekinesis!"
Duosion spun in the air, grabbing all of the boulders thrown at him, spinning them in a ring around him before launching them all right back.
"Archeops dodge with Acrobatics!"
Archeops flapped in the air, sweeping around the boulders as it encroached towards Duosion.
"Duosion use Psychic!"
"Archeops use Crunch!"
Duosion sent out a psychic blast, knocking back Archeops momentarily before the ancient Pokemon picked back up their speed only to be struck from above by the Future Sight attack.
"Archeops use another Stone Edge!"
"Duosion use Rain Dance to create a cover!"
Rain came down across the arena as rocks flew about.
"Lord Ghetsis we've lost visual what should we do?" A grunt asked.
"We wait, it is not time yet." Ghetsis said from their camouflaged airship.
"Come on twerp, don't loose now!" Jessie said, not paying attention to the food stand.
"Duosion use Psychic!"
"Archeops use Crunch!"
Duosion spun around only to see Archeops waiting for him as the prehistoric bird chomped down on the psychic type, sending Duosion rocketing across the arena as a result.
"Duosion!" Ash exclaimed.
"Duosion is unable to battle, making the winner Archeops!" Don George declared.
"Duosion you were great, come on back." Ash said, rain still dripping from him.
"Pi!" Pikachu said ready to fight.
"Hold on buddy, I still need you for later, besides I have a plan. Serperior come on out!" Ash called out.
"What's his plan with Serperior? Archeops is a flying type." Rosa said.
"Originally I would have agreed with you, but even at a type disadvantage, I think Ash has a plan." Elliot commented.
"Serperior use Aqua Tail!"
"Archeops use Acrobatics!"
Archeops flipped through the air, heading straight for Serperior.
"Come on if you have a plan do it Ash." Stephan said nervously.
"Now!" Ash exclaimed.
The pouring rain shot towards one point, creating a massive aqua tail, striking across Archeops, engulfing the flying type in the watery attack.
"Now use Energy Ball!"
"Archeops use Dragon Claw!"
Archeops rocketed through the water, tearing it and the energy ball apart before digging their claws into Serperior's body.
"Serperior use Wring Out!"
Serperior quickly wrapped himself around Archeops, squeezing tighter and tighter until they let go of him.
"Archeops use Acrobatics!"
"Use Leaf Storm!"
Serperior whipped his tail, sending a flurry of leaves spinning around Archeops, keeping the flying type at bay.
"Still think your Serperior could hold up like Ash's?" Georgia commented.
"Please if I was out there Serperior would have already won." Trip said.
"I don't know if that's Ash's goal right now." Georgia admitted, knowing this was an odd tactic even for Ash.
"Use another Leaf Storm!"
"Use Stone Edge!"
Stones shot up and out through the leaves, slamming down around Serperior.
"Now Archeops use Acrobatics!"
"Use Energy Ball straight up!"
Archeops dove at the trapped Serperior, only to be struck by the energy ball, being sent tumbling backwards in the air as a result before crashing into a heap on the ground.
"Archeops is unable to battle, the winner is Serperior!" Don George declared.
"Father, should I?" N whispered into a communicator ear piece of his own.
"No, he still hasn't sent out his final Pokemon and if you send out Reshiram too early it could leave you open to being weaker than Zekrom." Ghetsis said.
"Father, I don't think he's awoken Zekrom yet." N responded, as he returned Archeops.
"I told you my son, we know two dragons of that power are here, it must be his Zekrom, now trust me on this." Ghetsis commanded.
"Of course. Now come out Carracosta!"
"That's, an odd choice." Rosa said in shock. "He does still have Reshiram right?"
"There must be a reason as to why he hasn't used them yet." Elliot responded. "But what is it, and why hold back in this match out of all of them?"
"Serperior can you get out of there?!" Ash asked to the grass type still stuck in the center of all the rocks.
"Perior!" Serperior exclaimed, winding up and over one of the stones, freeing himself.
"Carracosta use Waterfall!"
"Serperior use Energy Ball!"
Carracosta engulfed themselves in water rocketing towards Serperior, bashing through the energy ball before striking the grass type.
"Serperior use Leaf Storm!"
"Carracosta use Stone Edge!"
Stones launched at Serperior as the leaf Storm cut through them like a knife through butter, striking the water types hard outer shell.
"Carracosta use Aqua Jet!"
"Use Aqua Tail!"
Carracosta launched forward in a jet stream of water as Serperior gathered water from around him, creating an Aqua Tail from which he was able to whip back Carracosta to the other side of the arena.
"Carracosta use Stone Edge!"
"Serperior use Energy Ball!"
Serperior flicked the tip of his tail, sending an energy ball crashing through the stones and striking Carracosta.
"Now follow up with another Leaf Storm!"
"Use Aqua Jet!"
Serperior sent out another leaf storm, the leaves breaking apart Carracosta's aqua jet before it could even fully form, slicing across the water types hard shell from every angle resulting in it's defeat.
"Carracosta is unable to battle, the winner is Serperior!" Don George declared.
"Ash is really doing it, he's up three Pokemon!" Rosa exclaimed.
"Except he still has to fight a legendary, and Serperior isn't looking too good." Elliot reminded.
"Right, those parts." Rosa said. "Who do you think his sixth is?"
"Based on who he's already used, I'd put money on either Braviary or Garbodor." Elliot said. "Meaning we probably have the other, Darmanitan, Golett and Deino."
"Carracosta return!" N said, recalling the water type.
"It's not too late N, you don't have to do this." Ash said calmly.
"You have no idea what I am going to do Ashton. Now come out Reshiram!". N exclaimed, the white dragon towering in the arena, looking down on Serperior.
"Wait for my signal." Both Ghetsis and Virgil said over their groups communicators.
"Reshiram show them our true bond, use Fusion Flare!"
"Serperior use Energy Ball!"
Serperior flicked his tail, sending out the largest energy ball he could, pushing back against Reshiram's attack momentarily before he was engulfed in an explosion of flames.
"Serperior." Rosa said in shock, covering her mouth.
"Serperior is unable to battle, the winner is Reshiram." Don George declared.
"Now Ash, if you wish to prove you can still stand a chance, go ahead and send out your dragon, send them out and show me and the world you believe in what you say!" N declared.
"You want my dragon. Come and get him!" Ash said, holding out his final Pokeball and the Dark Stone. "Now come on out!" Ash said, tossing out the Pokeball.
"What is that?" Rosa asked in shock.
"I've seen them in photos, but never before in real life." Elliot said in shock.
"That, that's incredible." Hugh stammered.
"He's been holding out on us." Georgia commented.
