Well hello! This is A new goal-fanfiction's new chapter. See ya the next chapter.
"Are you even listening?" Sasuke asked, sitting with Natsuki on the seats at the table in the ice cream parlor.
"I was just thinking about those news stories about missing people. It's kind of scary. The families of the missing must be worried," Natsuki said.
Natsuki was wearing a purple winter coat, black pants, and black winter boots, and she had light purple gloves on her hands, and a light purple hat on her head.
Sasuke was wearing the same winter clothes as before, but now she had gloves knitted by Natsuki.
It was snowing outside, and the sun was shining brightly.
There were cars driving on the streets, and people walking on the sidewalks.
"Is that what you're thinking?" Sasuke asked.
"Really, because there's a reason for it. I'll explain it later," Natsuki said.
"Or a reason?" Sasuke thought.
(Later)
Natsuki sat on her bed, looking at the cake recipe book her parents had given her as a Christmas present.
"Where on earth is Hikari now? I wish I could show her this book that my parents sent me a couple of days before this Christmas Eve," Natsuki thought.
Natsuki's thoughts were back to Hikari, and worry filled her. Natsuki stood up, walked to her closet, and took out her rabbit stuffed toy, from which she took out her diary, and went to sit at her desk, and began to write in her diary:
"12/24/2024.
"I've been thinking about my friend Hikari ever since I heard about her disappearance. Where is she, and is she okay, and most of all, why did she disappear? There have been similar disappearances in Japan recently, like Hikari's. I can't help but wonder if they're somehow connected because of the strange events that followed. Should we go near Hikari's hometown to investigate at some point?"
Natsuki put her diary back inside her rabbit stuffed animal, put it in the closet, and went to sleep.
