Well hello! This is A new goal-fanfiction's new chapter. See ya next chapter.
"Hikari," Natsuki thought, as she lay in her bed.
Natsuki was wearing purple pajamas.
"Are you going to be quiet for long?" Sasuke asked into the phone Natsuki held in her right hand.
"Sorry, but there's just so much to think about," Natsuki finally said, embarrassed that she hadn't listened to Sasuke.
"What to think about?" Sasuke asked.
"In Izu, a city on the island of Honshū in Japan, in the Chūbu, or Tōkai region of Shizuoka Prefecture, a teenager has gone missing again. His name was Kamon Seiji. There have been quite a few of these disappearances, and it's worrying, senpai. Would you come to my house tomorrow so we can talk properly about those disappearances?" Natsuki asked after thinking about it for a moment.
Natsuki was now so worried about Hikari, that she didn't even feel like talking to Sasuke.
The sun was setting.
(The next day)
Natsuki stood with Sasuke in the room of Natsuki's home, where Natsuki had recently bought a map:
"This map is the reason why I've been thinking a lot lately, sempai. Or more precisely, a name on this map is the reason for the thought I just said. Because in early November last year, in Nagoya, the capital of Aichi Prefecture, Japan, 17-year-old Aikawa Hikari disappeared at the beginning of last month, and as a result, Nagoya became a completely isolated city."
"I heard about it on the news. Why did you bring it up?" Sasuke asked.
"Well, the Aikawa Hikari I mentioned earlier has been my friend since I was little, before Hikari and her parents moved to Nagoya due to her father's job transfer. Hikari, and I have kept in touch by phone and email, and have seen each other occasionally, when Hikari has been here in Tokyo to visit her grandparents, who live in Tokyo, but I haven't heard from Hikari lately, which I've found strange. That disappearance must be the reason why I haven't heard from Hikari. I'm worried about her," Natsuki said, turning off the living room lights, and went to sit on the living room couch.
Sasuke came into the living room, and sat in the armchair, looking at Natsuki:
"So you're a friend of a missing girl?"
"Really. That's hard. I've been wondering, where Hikari is lately, and if she's okay," Natsuki said. "I spoke to Hikari's grandparents earlier, who knew one thing about Hikari that had happened before Hikari disappeared. Hikari called them shortly before she disappeared, believing that her wish to start her own Karate dojo seemed impossible to her. But she always seemed like nothing could discourage her will. But some people seemed to mock her for it. Hikari was quite angry about it. It must have been difficult for Hikari, but she is not the kind of person by nature who would care about others's insults."
"Or is she not that kind of person?" Sasuke asked.
"I have regretted not having had time to keep in touch with Hikari due to other things, but I was thinking of going to Nagoya, the capital of Japan's Aichi Prefecture, at some point to see if that city is really completely isolated now. If I find Hikari, I will apologize to Hikari for not having had time to keep in touch with her," Natsuki said.
"I understand. What will you do then, if Nagoya is really completely isolated?" Sasuke asked.
"Then I'll continue to investigate, until I find Hikari. I'm not a professional detective, but I do know some detective methods, because I've watched police dramas on TV, and read detective novels," Natsuki said, blushing slightly, when she saw Sasuke looking at Natsuki with a little interest because of what Natsuki had just said.
"So I'm not exaggerating, but I want to see Hikari after a long time, and make sure she's okay. There's something really scary about these disappearances. For some reason, they don't seem like ordinary disappearances, because what they all have in common is that all the cities in Japan that have people disappearing from are now reportedly completely isolated from the rest of Japan. Have people disappeared in other parts of the world in the same way as now?"
"So you're planning on traveling to Nagoya at some point?" Sasuke asked.
"That's my intention," Natsuki said.
"You clearly care about your friends," Sasuke said.
"Of course I do. Hikari, and I kind of grew up together before she, and her parents moved to Nagoya," Natsuki said.
Natsuki turned she gaze to the window, and saw that it was snowing outside.
