Chapter 7: Dead Credit pt 3

Place: Student Lounge
Time: Day 0- 1030

"I can understand why. The Police station, Takagi estate, and mall are all over there. Sure this is a big business and school center, but if they can control that area than they can blow the bridges and keep people safe. At least in theory," said Naruto.
"That's not to say the infected aren't over there as well," said Megumi.
"No but limiting them is a smart play. It's something i'd expect of my dad," said Naruto.
The group went quiet as the door to the second room opened up and Fuu came out, her shirt off and a towl over her shoulders covering her breasts and people could see the passed out Fumiko with a blanket covering her naked ass

Rei sighed. "Well not like we can do much else from here, but to rest," said Rei.
"Not quite babe. We need a plan to either escape or bunker down for the long haul and unlike you guys I don't see the school as an option," said Hisashi.
"What about the buses?" asked Megumi.
Everyone turned to her making her flinch slightly.
"The last time the bus got used was for a boxing competition the city over. I know because I helped fill the damn thing up with Asuma-sensei when we were done because Kyoko-sensei was bitching about a ping pong tournament or something. It hasn't moved in a week," said Naruto.
"But who has the keys?" asked Kota.
"They are normally in the teachers lounge. Which is one floor down and crawling with freaks," said Miku.
"So we need someone to do a runner and get the keys. That's goddamn suicide," said Saeko.
"Maybe, but it's our best shot," said Takashi.
"A two man team would be best for this. I'll go," said Naruto.

"No I'll go," said Tenten jumping up and putting her quiver on her hip. "No offense but we can't risk the chance that our two best fighters die on this one. I'll go with Uzumaki,"
Saeko looked at her with narrowed eyes. "This isn't you trying to kill him is it?"
"So long as he doesn't turn I have no issues with him, but if he shows signs of turning into a freak," said Tenten leaving the threat hanging a she looked at Naruto.
"We should make this fast. It's five minutes," said Naruto.
"how do we know its you two coming and not someone else?" asked Hisashi
"Two hard slow knocks and five rapid knocks. In case it's an emergancy we'll do three rapid knocks. If it's us held at point by a weapon it will be 5 rapid knocks," said Tenten.
"You've thought about this before," said Saeko looking at Tenten.
"Somewhat," said Tenten as she checked her bows.
Saeko pulled Naruto aside and kissed him. "Be safe Love... and don't hesitate to leave her to the dead if she becomes an issue," said Saeko.
Naruto nodded as he joined Tenten at the door. Both were carrying empty bags as well as spears. Depsite it only being a five minute trip to the teacher lounge, neitehr Tenten nor Naruto were going to pass up anything that they could use to help them out.
Kota opened the door, allowing Tenten and Naruto to jet out and down the hall.

The duo of Tenten and Naruto moved as swiftly and quietly as they could, they walked past a few of them, ignoring the groans and occasional yelling and screams. Naruto felt Tenten's eyes on his back. It was hard not to. The girl was out to prove a point.
They came to a T intersection that lead to the stairs and stopped. Naruto pulled out a a mirror and put it around the corner.
"Well?" asked Tenten.
"Looks clear," said Naruto.
They both went into the corner just as a boy fell down the stairs screaming his head off.
Tenten looked at Naruto with a glare. "You said it was clear!" growled the bun haired girl as the duo sprinted for the stairs.
"I said it looks clear!" yelled Naruto as they leapt down the 10 stairs and then down the second set before rounding another T juction. "And it still looks clear,"
They ran as fast as they could, without making nosie. In a short sprint they arrived at the teachers offices. Or what was left of them. The doors had fallen off and the room was a bloody mess with a few corpses here and there.
"So someone made it here after all. Glad your still in one piece Naruto," came a voice from one of the desks.
It was the history teacher and coach of the boxing Team Sarutobi Asuma. Asuma had always been a laid-back kind of guy and relatively cool, even under fire. He had helped Naruto train in the noble sport of boxing and had helped him out on a personal level as Naruto's god brother Kakashi was one of Asuma's good friends. Asuma had always been a good teacher to Naruto. Naruto had even babysat little Mirai in the past. She often called him
"Asuma-Sensei are you okay?" asked Naruto.
Asuma chuckled as he lit up a cigarette, his custom trench knives on his hands. "Yeah I'm good... or at least I thought I was. I got bit not about 2 minutes before you two came in here," said Asuma gesturing to the body that was laying at his feet
Both teens froze and looked at Asuma, before they saw it. His left wrist was bleeding badly. Asuma was sweating and dark circles had appeared under his eyes. He wasn't long for the world.
"We need the keys to the buses Sarutobi-sensei," said Tenten.
Asuma nodded and reached into his desk before he set them there as well as his Trench knives. He seemed to think about it for a moment, before a box of cigarettes and his ligther joined the items on the desk as well.
"You know I planned to have you a pair made when you won your next match, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I know you always admired them. Take em and use em well Naruto," said Asuma as he looked at Naruto.
Naruto walked over and picked up the twin brass knuckle like items that had spike and blades attached to it. Naruto placed the brass knuckles on the desk and dawned the Trench knives. Sure, Asuma had let him train with them, before but that was always for fun, never did Naruto think that he was going to be using them like this. he looked at the smokes and lighter before taking them as well. They might come in handy one day for all he knew.
Asuma looked up from the picture that he was staring at. "I thought I was going to see Kurenai and Mirai-chan again. That was a pipe dream," said Asuma as he blew smoke into the air, allowing a single tear to roll down his face.
"Asuma-sensei?" asked Tenten only to be grabbed by Naruto.
"Do you have any last words Asuma-sensei?" asked Naruto as he slid off the brass knuckles and dawned the trench knives that felt so heavy around his hands.
"Live... live to see the next sunrise, never allow yourself to go into the dark without a fight," said Asuma closing his eyes as he breathed his last.
Naruto pulled back his right fist backwards and sent it flying as the head of his smiling sensei

And Cut. Yes I know it's a terrible shame that Asuma died, but hey I gave him a nice sendoff compared to what I would normally do. Asuma is probably my favorite Sensei out of them all, but they did him dirty. Now that I think about it Asuma is a lot like Boruto in a way. Resents his dad for being the leader of the village and all kinds of other good stuff like that. Unlike Boruto however Asuma is a bad ass who 'as far as i know/ remember' never whined about being the son of a kage.
One more chapter before they leave the school. Next drop for this story will be a Three chapter Drop as I have the chapters for Kushina and Minato ready to go as well. I just wanted to finish Dead Credit first. See yea
