Chapter 8: Dead Credit pt 4
Location: Fujimi Acadmey
Place: Student Lounge
Time: Day 0- 1630
Yuuri bit her lip as she looked at the door, waiting for the knock that would tell her that Naruto and Tenten had returned. It had been four hours since they left and everyone in the group was getting worried. Even Saeko who told everyone that Naruto wasn't dead had a white kunkled grip on her sword.
The former rivals were guarding the door now or rather she was keeping her former rival company using a spear. And even with the nervous energy coursing through her veins she knew that she was only good for killing maybe one or two freaks on her own, while Saeko could probably kill hundreds. The dark-haired girl had always somewhat admired Saeko. She was strong confident and had a loving fiancé in Naruto. Sure, Yuuri and Naruto had had sex before, but that was all it was. Just motion, a quick way to let off steam. Just sex friends doing what sex friends do. That's what she told herself when she felt her heart jump into her throat when she looked at his smile. how she clung to him. how she had to resist the urge to whisper that she lo-liked him as more than just a sex friend.

A woman was seen and not heard, A woman bowed her head to the head of her house and her husband. A woman was a nightshade. No it was more than that. Saeko was not just a woman she was a swordsmen as well. Her desires as a woman were also twisted by her views of a swordsman and one who's family still practiced the traditional ways.
"Rei that's too far," said Takashi.
Even if he was no longer her boyfriend, he still had feelings for Rei. Takashi knew that it was foolish of him to still be holding a torch for Rei even a year after she dumped him, but he couldn't help it. For a long time Rei had helped him move past his indecisive nature and when she left him he fell back into his funk. He didn't want to see her get hurt because she ran her mouth to the wrong person.
Rei turned to Takashi with a narrowed look in her eyes. "And this is why we're not together anymore. You never supported me or even thought about how I felt," said Rei.
"And there goes her victim mentality again," said Saya, not even caring if Rei heard her.
Rei rounded on the girl with a glare. "What did you say Takagi?"
Saya narrowed her eyes. "You heard me Miyamoto. Takashi may take crap from you, but not me! Your so busy being a damsel and waiting for a knight to save you that you'll use that excuse of 'not understanding you' to get away with the crap your saying! Get over yourself you bourgeois bitch!"
"At least I can fight and defend myself! I don't need someone else to fight my battles for me," said Rei.
"Like how your boyfriend was stupid enough to try and grapple a zombie? Or are we talknig about how a single thrust from your spear to the chest wasn't enough!? No then we must be talking about how my brother got bit protecting you two fools?" asked Saya.

Saya stumbled back a few steps into Takashi as Rei was scarlet in rage with her hand out.
"How dare you, you uppity bitch! Naruto got bit because he was an idiot!" yelled Rei.
Saya's hand went to her cheek, but she was smirking at Rei. "My 2-year-old cousin hits harder than you do Miyamoto,"
"What the hell are you doing!" asked Fuu getting in Rei's face only to be pushed away by the slightly taller orangette.
"Putting Saya in her place," said Rei
"Rei that's to far!" hissed Hisashi. As he gripped his girlfriend's shoulders. And pushed her into a corner
"If you want to fight Miyamoto-san then i'll be more than happy to take you on," said Saeko heated after what she had said about her beloved!
Yuuri got int front of her and while she knew that she wasn't anywhere near strong enough to stop Saeko, maybe it was enough to dismay her.
Megumi an Shizuka quickly got between the girls
"That's Enough!" yelled Ryuzetsu making everyone look her at. "This is no time to be at each others' throats. We're all in the same fucking coat and as far as I'm concerned on the same team. So, all your little high school drama needs to be left at the fucking door or so help me God I'll throw you to the biters myself,"
"And what team would that be?" asked Takashi making everyone look at him. "From where I'm standing, we're divided as all hell and need to come together mentally as well and physically,"
"I agree with Takashi-san. With the regular freaks about and then those mutated ones running around we are not safe at all," said Fumiko.
No one said anything before they all jumped as the knocks came on the door. It was the knocking patten that they were safe and sound. Miku and Kota opened the door.
Once inside they quickly closed the door. Saeko threw herself at Naruto and kissed him.
"I was so worried about you," said Saeko pulling away from her lover. two times in just as many hours she had feared the worst.
"Sorry it took us so long. The way we came was blocked off a small horde. We had to cut across the roof and hide for a bit in the garden," said Naruto.
"Was it really that bad?" asked Ryuzetsu.
"Not that bad, but bad enough. We ran into two more of those super zombies. The ones with knives for fingers and long limbs," said Tenten shrugging her shoulders.
"How was it?" asked Megumi.
"Not to bad. We avoided fights where we could. It's gotten pretty quiet out there. I say that aside from us there are only a handful of people left who aren't dead," said Naruto.
"We need to go now, while it's relatively quiet. We scouted an empty route to the front doors. We're going to have to probably sprint to the bus once we're there. The glass doors were broken and the glass breaking underfoot might cause the zombies to get crazy, but it's our best shot," said Tenten.
"Why do we need to go now? You two just got back?" asked Kurumi.
"Zombie 101, Zombies rule the dark. We stay in the light," said Naruto as he put on his backpack.
Everyone else did the same with Kota and Tenten manning the door.
They pulled it open with Hisashi and Takashi acting as the guards going out first. Naruto ran out after them with the others following as they made their way to the front along the path that Naruto and Tenten had found. Before long they came to the entrance, but they were not alone. A group of students with makeshift weapons were there as well.
"Hey!" Naruto whisper shouted.
The apparent leader looked at Naruto and his very large group of people with wide eyes. Sure, his group had 8 people, but eight was far smaller than fifteen.
"How did you get here with so many people?" asked the leader.
"We walked! What the hell are you guys waiting for?" asked Naruto.
"To many of them for use to make a run for the door. We managed to get a hold of the principal's car keys and planned to ride out of here. I know how to drive and the principal had a fairly big van," said the Leader.
Naruto nodded. It was a sound plan. "We had the same idea, but decided on the school bus. Taller and harder to get inside if you don't know how.
"Mind if we join you guys than?" asked the leader.
"Sure," said Naruto.
"Great, not that we're all buddy buddy, what are we going to do about the horde of SOBs down there?" asked Rei coming up to the meeting pair
"We walk past them," said Saya.
"What? Are you fucking nuts?" asked the leader of the other group.
"Saya's alot of things, but she's not crazy and if you want to see another day remember it," said Naruto glaring at the boy.
"Hear me out. I think they're in a semi dormant state most of the time. Their boys are mostly shut down aside from their hearing. It's only when they get frenzied that their sense of touch is active. Otherwise, they just move off of mob mentality," said the Pinkett (1)
"Good eye genius, but who's going to test it?" asked Rei.
"I'll do it," said Takashi.
"With all due respect Takashi, your the last person we need going," said Naruto.
"Why does it it seem like every time someone says with all due respect they really mean kiss my ass?" asked Takashi.
"Look in case this goes south I need you to keep everyone together," said Naruto.
"Why Takashi and not-
Naruto looked at Rei with a glare that made her flinch. "This isn't a fucking debut. This is a dictatorship. As far as leadership goes it's me, Takashi and then Saeko. Everyone else falls in line or they get left behind," said Naruto.
"That's harsh bro," said Saya.
"We'll talk about it once we're all safe, but right now I trust Takashi not to screw things up for us," said Naruto.
Takashi nodded. "Alright. I got you, just... just get back here safe man. i can't deal with all these women by myself,"
One of the girls handed Naruto a book and he nodded his thanks as he made his was over to the stairs. In truth it was closer to the final walk of an inmate on his way to the gallows, than a test run to see if it was safe.
Naruto walked down the stairs as slowly and carefully as he could. Each step his heartbeat just a little bit louder, blood pounded in his ears. Every breath felt like it would give him away and lead to his demise.
He had gotten lucky once today, there was no guarantee that he would live if they decided to swarm him. Even among the groaning sounds of the undead he felt like there a chance that they were just waiting for him to make a mistake and devour him. One of the freaks bumped shoulders with him, but otherwise ignored him. Naruto sighed as he took the book, he had carried with him and threw it to the other side of the hall. It landed with a thud, and it seemed to draw all the freaks attention.
Naruto looked at everyone and smile, before giving them the thumbs up. Everyone from his group made their way down with the tag along joining them soon after.
The boy who had joined them with the toning fork hit the stairs. Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, but the size of the fork, how high up he was and the relatively empty air they were in meant that only one thing had happened.
He had just ran the dinner bell.
Naruto cursed. "RUN!" he yelled no longer needing to be subtle about what was happening.
The group took off like a bullet, with Naruto leading the way and pushing the dead out of his way with the Kendo stick. Rei and Takashi were on his flank, maybe a good meter away from him, further out they came in duos of Fuu and Hisashi, Kurumi and Ryuzetsu who was apparently pretty good with the axe she had picked up along the way. Saya, Shizuka, Megumi, Miku, Fumiko and Yuuri were all trailing in the middle with spears, drills, and other improvised weapons, with Tenten and Kota bringing up the rear and making sure to kill anything that got to close.
But as they main group made it through their tag along where not so lucky as tuning fork never made it out of the entry way, a pair of girls were set upon as they became frozen rabbits, and finally the last two a couple decided that if one didn't live neither did the other. Naruto's group paid them no heed and kept on moving forward. Ultimately, they couldn't save everyone.
Within a minute they were at the bus
"Form up and defend this spot until Shizuka gets the bus started! Kota you first in case anything is on there that needs killing. Takashi, Rei on me, we'll get on last," said Naruto as he caught a freak by the throat and choke slammed it into the ground, before curb stomping it's head in.
The group did as instructed and got on the bus in an orderly fashion and waited as the others climbed aboard. Takashi got on followed by Rei, with Naruto about to follow when he caught sight of people running to the bus.
It was Shidou-Sensei, followed by Student Council president Hyuga Neji, Yamanaka Ino, football club Ace Inuzuka Kiba, Ichijou Misuzu, Toshimi Niki, Kawamoto Momo, Tsunoda Satoshi, Kurokami Shinya, Mirua Tohru and Oto Jirobo. Those were the main ones, but there were a few others following behind. About 5 or five more.
Naruto heard Rei growl in the back of her throat. Naruto looked at her, but her eyes were focused an cold. They were laying squarely on Shido. "Leave him! If you bring that asshole with us, you're going to regret it!" growled Rei
"We need to go before to many of them show up!" yelled Shizuka
"Run them down if you have to!" yelled Hisashi!
"That could flip the bus!" yelled Miku
"Uzumaki-kun we need to go! Now!" yelled Megumi sitting in the supervisor/ assistant driver seat.
Naruto looked at Rei and cursed. "Hurry up you Shidou-sensei! You have 20 seconds!" yelled Naruto as he looked at his watch.
"What are you doing!?" asked Rei in fury.
The others looked at the arguing duo.
"Giving them a chance to live! Anyone not on the bus in that time is on their own," said Naruto
They watched as they sprinted at the bus, before one boy fell, grabbing onto Shido's leg. There was to much chaos, to many bodies, but Naruto was sure that he saw a foor come down on the boy's face before Shido sprinted to the bus and jumped on. Once Naruto was sure that no one else was coming he jumped on and closed the doors!
"PUNCH IT!" yelled Naruto grabbing one of the poles to steady himself.
Shizuka did as instructed and hit the gas as the bus roared out of the parking lot and into the streets. As Naruto looked out the windows as smoke, fires, and people fought, ran, and fell to their knees. He himself felt like he was on the verge of creaking but couldn't. Not now. Not when he had so many people to protect here. as much as he loved his parents, they would have to make do on their own.
Rei tapped him on his shoulder making him turn to her. She was scowling at him.
"What Rei?" asked Naruto.
"I hope you know what you're doing by allowing Shido on this bus," said Rei.
"I gave them a fighting change," said Naruto hoping to placate the orangette.
Rei sighed. "Fine. I'll trust you for now, but the consequences of Shido's actions will be on your head,"

1: Look that's the only way I can make it make sense. If only their sense of Sound works how do they know when to bite! How do they know when they have something they can bite. I'll give you the blind thing, but sense of touch has to be a factor for them since their primary mode off attack is grabbing and biting.
