Phantasy Star Horizon
ESKK: Well, here we are at long last the opening Chapter to the battle of Halpha. I'm sure that a lot of you have been looking forward to this where Halpha joins in on the Clone Wars. After so much to get this far it's time for ARKS to show their might to the Galaxy at large. Now then I'm gunning for this arc to be five chapters at the bare minimum so be sure to enjoy it and leave a review at the end of it.
(Start Jedi Temple Council Chamber)
Yoda, Windu, Obi-Wan, Luminara, and Anakin were gathered in the Council Chamber. There was no meeting taking place but despite this they had much to speak about. IT had of course involved ARKS and recent happenings with them starting with how Dark Falz [Apprentice] the Vernal had taken a Padawan Learner as her host.
"ARKS Hiding great secrets they are." Yoda said with a hum as he sat in his council seat contemplating what had happened to young Barris. "Barriss Offee Isolated Incident it may not." Yoda said suspecting that ARKS had a pretty good idea this could happen.
"Yes, I feel inclined to agree with you, Master Yoda." Obi-Wan said as he suspected ARKS had a reason for not sharing this information earlier.
"But why not share this earlier?" Anakin asked as he had been brought in on this simply because he had firsthand look at the secrets ARKS may possibly be hiding. Luminara was the same as it was her Padawan who was victim of this incident.
"Perhaps this is the first time someone trained in the ways of the Jedi was taken by the Dark Falz." Luminara offered suddenly as she got the attention from others. "They may have theorized that a Jedi would have a fighting chance to avoid this." Luminara said hoping this was the case with their allies.
"Still the fact Apprentice wanted Ahsoka as her intended host but got Barriss instead is cause for concern." Anakin said as he was worried about what this could lead to. More so he was worried for his young Padawan Learner.
"Did your investigation on Halpha yield results, Skywalker?" Mace asked looking over to Anakin hoping he had results for him.
"Not much if they have such big secrets, I suspect they'll keep it on their main fleet." Anakin said making his theory known to the Jedi Masters with him. "Sorry I couldn't find out more." Anakin said more towards Luminara then the others as he had wanted to help her get some closure on what happened to Barriss on Geonosis.
"Until we can learn more, we won't be able to just directly ask ARKS about any of their big secrets." Obi-Wan said as he found this to be troubling for them seeing how ARKS was still new to the Republic. "If Anakin is right and they keep all their important secrets on their Fleet somewhere getting it will be more trouble then it may be worth." Obi-Wan said reminding his fellow Jedi of the risks involved with what they were doing despite all of the aid ARKS had provided them.
"I honestly don't like this; ARKS has been nothing if not a great game changer during the war." Anakin said as he was a believer that actions spoke louder then words. This belief was of course shared by Obi-wan who like Anakin had worked closely with ARKS during this war.
"I agree but if ARKS is hiding secrets that could affect the Republic, then we need to know." Windu said knowing that ARKS had been at odds with the Republic and the Jedi on certain matters, but he didn't want to think it was worse they he had originally assumed. Windu recalled two recent incidents that put ARKS and the Republic at odds. The first was the incident that involved the Force Sensitive Younglings being kidnapped by the Bounty Hunter Cad Bane. And the most recent incident involved with the Senate vote for Republic forces to have more oversight on ARKS and station their forces on their home planet Halpha.
"Troubling times these are." Yoda said calmly as he sat in his seat before addressing the Jedi. "United must be we all." Yoda continued showing his own concerns on things. "Secrets divide us they will." Yoda said as sometimes the best way to learn these secrets is to be upfront with their own secrets. "Waits a greater darkness I fear." Yoda said as he had long since sensed that something was stirring when the Dark Falz joined the Clone Wars. "Be wary we must." Yoda finished as their current discussion eventually came to an end.
(Later out in the halls)
The Jedi left the Council Chamber with Anakin and Obi-Wan accompanying each other as they left. "So, Anakin how has Ahsoka been holding up since Geonosis." Obi-Wan said as he was concerned for the Togruta.
"Honestly master… not so well." Anakin said as he had long since noted it. "She's been withdrawing into herself lately." Anakin said voicing his concerns involved with Ahsoka. Ever since the incident with Barriss becoming Dark Falz Apprentice's newest host Ahsoka normally petty attitude had vanished from the Padawan Learner.
"Give her time Anakin she will come around when she is ready to talk." Obi-Wan advised knowing what Ahsoka was going through at the moment. Survivors guilt was a troubling thing when someone you cared for perished while you managed to survive the tragic incident.
"I know but." Anakin trailed off as he thought about his Padawan and her turmoil's. It truly pained Anakin to see Ahsoka like this and not be able to help her get through it all.
"Just be there for her." Obi-Wan said as he stopped and put a comforting hand on Anakin's shoulder. "It's all that we can do for her until she is ready to talk." Obi-Wan said knowing that Ahsoka needs to sort through her own feelings also.
"I know." Anakin said sadly before looking to Obi-Wan. "And that is what scares me… that she might not." Anakin said worried that Ahsoka might find herself feeling she needed to do something dangerously drastic somehow.
(Meanwhile over with Ahsoka)
Ahsoka laid in her bed in her quarters inside the Jedi Temple. She stared up at the ceiling her room quiet with a few personal belongings about the room. Laying there Ahsoka had her arm over her forehead as she looked up barely moving save for the occasional blink of her eyes. Its been like this ever since Geonosis. Some days she finds it hard to rest as her dreams show Barriss and what had happened to her. She sacrificed herself to keep Dark Falz Apprentice from using Ahsoka as her latest of host bodies. It truly pained Ahsoka that by not being aware of her surroundings others suffered instead.
It was just like with the Battle of Ryloth when the came to liberate it from Separatist Control almost a year prior. Back then she made a bad call that if not for ARKS would have cost her the lives of several brave Clone Troopers. Thank goodness for the AIS Units that ARKS utilized otherwise the death toll would have been much higher then initially. Ahsoka had thought she had gotten over it but clearly that was not the case.
Just then a beep came from the door which drew the Togruta's attention to it. "Enter." Ahsoka said giving permission for whomever was there to enter. She knew who it was though and thus when the door slid open Anakin stepped through.
"Hey Ahsoka." Anakin greeted fresh off his meeting with the gathered Jedi Masters Luminara, Obi-Wan, Mace, and Yoda.
"Hey master." Ahsoka said as she sat up to speak with her master properly.
"How are you holding up?" Anakin asked as he wanted Ahsoka to know she can talk to him if something was troubling the young Togruta girl.
"I'm fine master." Ahsoka said just as she had always said even if it was not entirely truthful for Anakin.
Anakin hated lies but he knew why Ahsoka was lying. She didn't want Anakin to worry but she was also bottling it all up here. "Ahsoka." Anakin began with a gentle tone in his voice. "You don't have to hold it in, I'm here if you need to talk." Anakin said as he truly wanted to help his Padawan Learner.
"Thank you master." Ahsoka began before an awkward silence began to overtake the Togruta's room. Anakin nodded and was about to take his leave, but Ahsoka she needed to talk and thus she began to share. "It's all my fault." Ahsoka mumbled which stopped Anakin from leaving the room. "What had happened to Barriss it's my fault." Ahsoka said which now Anakin knew what was troubling his Padawan Learner.
"I should have done something stop Barriss, try and fight off Apprentice, something." Ahsoka said as the incident kept replaying in her head after it happened.
"Ahsoka…" Anakin began as he tried to think of the best way to help her. "What had happened to Barriss wasn't your fault." Anakin said knowing Ahsoka had wanted to save her young friend but was unable to do anything.
"So, everyone keeps telling me but…" Ahsoka said and in turn Anakin sighed when Ahsoka trailed off in her speech.
"I don't think Barriss would want you to grieve like this." Anakin said as Ahsoka sighed before laying back down.
"Maybe… I just wish I could have done more." Ahsoka said feeling useless after what had happened to her friend.
"Ahsoka no one blames you for what happened." Anakin said urging Ahsoka to understand that she was not at fault.
"Yeah, I know… but I do." Ahsoka responded and in turn Anakin knew Ahsoka needed some more time to process what had happened to Barriss.
Seeing the state Ahsoka was in Anakin knew he might need to call in aid in helping his Padawan process what had happened to Barriss. Perhaps Barriss master Luminara Undulii could help Anakin seeing as she knew Barriss the best. Anakin took his leave to give Ahsoka some space as he went out to look for Luminara to see if she can talk to Ahsoka.
(Meanwhile at the Senate Building)
Yaga stepped out of the Senate Chambers yawning a bit needing to make a trip over to the Gym before he got rusty. With him was Klara as she saw the state Yaga was in. "That meeting was brutal." Klara said as she felt for Yaga having to sit through it with the Council Member.
"Yeah, how much longer before the Council of Six finally decide on an actual Senator so I can go back to Halpha and rejoin the front?" Yaga asked as he wanted to get back to where the action was happening.
"Soon Yaga but you know we have to make sure the chosen Senator isn't corrupt or can become corrupt." Klara said knowing how bad a corrupt senator would make ARKS look to the Galactic Republic.
"I know that Klara I sat through those meetings too." Yaga said while they walked through the halls of the Senate Building to their office.
"Yaga, Klara." Padme was heard as she approached the two ARKS Council of Six members.
"Oh, Padme hello." Klara said smiling to the Senator from Naboo.
"What's up?" Yaga asked as he smiled to Padme happy to see a friend.
"I just wanted to see how you two are doing." Padme said as she also felt the meeting just now was one of the harder ones in her political career.
"Honestly, I'm half tempted to go after Arthur and punch him in his metal face for making me take this job." Yaga said showing he wanted out on this job.
"I'm sure many Senators would not fault you for it." Padme said as she had many of those days while she had been Naboo's Senator.
"You honestly get me." Yaga joked causing Klara to giggle a bit at Yaga's antics.
"Anyway, I have some work to do but if your both available later I'll be happy to treat you both to a nice meal." Padme said and thus Yaga smiled and clapped his hands together almost praising Padme.
"Thank you, pops always use to say never turn down free food." Yaga said quoting his father as he had always done. Padme was happy to see that these two were still as peppy as ever despite their current place of employment.
"So…" Yaga began as his tone shifted. "How is Ahsoka?" Yaga asked as he was concerned for both her and Anakin after hearing about Geonosis.
"She's enduring that much can be said." Padme said as she understood the concern Yaga and Klara both had for the Padawan after working with her against the Dark Falz.
"Well, if she needs to talk to a professional tell her Klara and I can hook her up to a good shrink." Yaga said as Padme smiled to this.
"I'll pass the message along." Padme smiled back as Yaga nodded.
"Anyway, we have some work to attend too so we'll see you later." Klara said and with a nod the pair of ARKS Operatives left to attend to their work.
Padme could not help but smile at the pair knowing that Yaga was unique as a Senator seeing as he refuses to lie to the people. He was a wild card in the Senate because he was upfront with everything earning him many supporters amongst the people of the Republic. It was no wonder he was as beloved as he was amongst his own people.
But just because he was open Padme knew Yaga was not dumb. Klara figured out about her marriage and refuses to share it while Yaga put the pieces together when he saw Anakin was hiding in her office before the hostage incident had taken place. But the topic of Ahsoka and Dark Falz caused Padme's mind to once more drift to Persona and her connection.
Padme had tried her hardest to find evidence that proved Persona was not her even grasping at straws. Dorme and the other Handmaidens who faithfully served Padme all had their alibi's checked out so they could not have been Persona seeing as Persona was active while they were all occupied. She didn't want to believe Persona was her, but evidence was pointing in that particular direction. She didn't like to think about it but even with the evidence there was no way it was possible for Padme and Persona to be the same person and exist at the same time.
She needed answers but Padme was not about to ask Persona for them even if she could. Persona as a member of the Dark Falz Collective so Padme could not just walk up and ask her for answers. But it was still a bad idea to just let Persona roam about so her only hope was that ARKS destroys the Dark Falz or manages to capture her somehow. If no other reason it would at least give Padme some peace of mind that her evil double would not harm her husband and his loved ones trying to kill the Jedi.
(Scene Break Halpha Stia Region Forge)
In the Forge that Anakin and Ahsoka had visited during their last visit to Halpha the sound of a hammer on metal could be heard. The Forge was alight as a certain CAST was hard at work constructing a new Cosmogenic Arms. With each smash of the hammer Photons and sparks were visible as they briefly lit up the CASTS face as he worked.
Volgun was an artist, and he would be damned if his latest project were anything but beyond expectations. He was an overachiever with his work and thus as he continued to hammer away his entire focus was on his project. Looking nearby for a moment he saw the already completed Scabbard for the weapon waiting for the sword to make it whole. Smirking he lifted up the burning hot metal inspecting the weapon being forged. Dipping down into the water the entire room filled with steam before he returned to his task. Nearby a lone Kyber crystal was seen as it was being infused with a great deal of Photons.
(Scene Break Dark Falz Luther)
Luthor was hard at work as he had a data pad in his hands while walking past several capsules with living beings inside them. As he walked by the capsules it seemed that they were organized by stages of development starting from embryo going forward.
He stopped by one capsule that showed a familiar young girl inside it in a fetal position. She floated in the liquid energized by Photons as she slept awaiting the time to be awoken. Taking out his data pad Luthor looked at the young woman and smirked seeing progress with her and her many sisters.
Just then a new voice was heard as Luther smirked to the image of Sidious via a mobile holo projector. "Lord Sidious, I suppose you're here for a progress report." Luther said with a smirk on his face.
"Do not keep me waiting." Sidious spoke wanting to get to the point.
"Well, the first unit of K-Type Clones is ready for deployment at a moment's notice." Luther said showing the data of the completed clones. "I have several more on the way but that will take time, without a constant string of fresh genetic material for the template I'm using what I can to make it last me as long as possible." Luther said as Sidious glared at the Dark Falz.
"And are the plans for the Battle of Halpha on schedule?" Sidious asked while giving the Dark Falz a glare.
"Worry not win or lose you'll be the winner." Luther said knowing Sidious had been trying to gain control of ARKS. Luther had a few ways to do so chief amongst them being Shmni the connection to the Akashic Records.
"Do not disappoint me, the fact you are useful is the only reason I have not killed you for discovering what you have." Sidious threatened making it clear that Luther was not trusted but his value was.
"Perish the thought." Luther said and in turn the call came to an end leaving Luther by himself. "Won't matter in the end thought." Luther said as he then pulled up images of the recent incidents with the four aces of ARKS, Yuvel, Laura, Reggie, and Zurna. Particularly images that could be minorly edited to make them look… less then heroic ARKS Operatives. "When all is said and done… the Akashic Records will be all mine and with it true omniscient." Luther said never once giving up his goal of the Akashic Records. Luther would not let anything stand in his way, not Sidious, not the Jedi, not even his fellow Dark Falz, and certainly not ARKS. Only Luther is allowed to enjoy the omniscient power of the Akashic Records for only he as a seeker of knowledge is permitted to bask in its greatness.
Ever since the era of the Photoners Luther had desired to know everything to be as Xion was. But when he had that power within his grasp ARKS stole Xion away from him and with it his only access to the Akashic Records. Xiao was a pale imitation and while powerful could never access the Akashic Records not like Xion could. When Dark Falz Luther was destroyed by ARKS and their Guardian, he roamed the darkness loss until he awoken in this Galaxy summoned forth by Persona or this variation of Dark Falz [Persona] the Masked. And now he had a second chance to acquire the Akashic Records Shmni the true successor of Xion with her in his grasp Luther will at last achieve true omniscience and become all knowing and all powerful. All he needed was time, and as Dark Falz [Luther] The Fallen knew he had all the time in the cosmos to realize his ambition.
(Scene Break ARKS Fleet Halpha)
In the main control area of the ARKS Fleet Arthur walked into the scene observing the tech crews go about their work. He could hear reports from many of them while they others were contacting different areas of the fleet to receive or give updates. It was a tight ship being run and Arthur wanted to ensure that everything was up and running.
Though he could not help but feel concerned with certain events. Arthur had the fleet constantly prepared for an inevitable invasion from either the Separatists or the Dark Falz Collective. The Council of Six had a reputation of being leaders who will gladly charge into the fray without a second thought. Arthur was amongst the top three best known to lead from the front lines, the three that made up the Trio of Heroes. Though he spent much of his days training and instructing ARKS Operatives and giving personal training to those who show merit to ARKS.
Heading to the main area Arthur walked over to the main command area where he lead most of ARKS. As he took his spot, he began to get carry out his daily responsibilities. "Report." Arthur said while looking to the gathered techs.
"All green across the board, Project Lecile is on schedule, and no Falspawn sightings from any of the Regions." A bridge tech reported as she received reports from Halpha's surface.
"Retem's mining Operations are running smoothly, though they reported some seismic readings in one of their minds." Another bridge tech reported while he operated his station. "Reports on it will be arriving once they have it investigated." He added which Arthur found helpful to be kept in the loop of things.
"Stia's factories are operating at peak efficiency, Aelio's crops, and trade markets are reporting minor changes in revenue, and the Kvaris regions reporting its space docks are up and running." A Fourth Tech reported with a smile on her face.
"Weather reports from the Aelio a possible storm was detected of the coast of West Aelio." The Fifth tech said typing away on her station. "Monitoring the storm's trajectory and planning accordingly." The CAST tech reported with a small hint of urgency in her voice.
"Continue to monitor that front if the Storm if as Class Five ensure the Aelio City Commander issues an alert." Arthur ordered which the CAST nodded to her commanding officer.
"Yes, sir right away." She said before a Deuman tech spoke up.
"Word from Kvaris the Snowstorm they endured has fully cleared and they had already begun to clear out the snow." The Deuman Tech reported which Arthur found helpful to know about.
"Good I want damage reports sent to me as soon as possible." Arthur said which the tech nodded.
"Yes sir." The Deuman said before returning to her job. All things where peaceful in the command deck until another Bridge tech spoke up.
"Councilman Arthur sir." Came the bridge tech which got Arthur's attention. "I'm detecting special anomalies matching that to a Hyperspace jump reaching the end." The Bridge tech said as she looked to Arthur who then walked over to her console to look at the data. "The main problem is after looking through our arrival schedules I don't see any Republic arrivals on our itinerary." The Bridge Tech added which was concerning.
"Lock on to it, see what's coming through." Arthur ordered and thus the Bridge tech nodded and got down to it. After a few key swipes and a bit of waiting the tech in question got the answer to the signal.
"Oh… oh dear." She said once the data began to finalize. "Sir this is a large signal almost like a fleet is coming in." She said and thus Arthur went wide eyed to this.
"Is there any Republic fleets scheduled to arrive?" Arthur asked over to their nearby logistics agent in the command room. He needed to be absolutely sure this was not on the schedule of possible arrivals.
"No sir, no Republic ships were scheduled for this arrival window." The Tech said and thus Arthur knew something was about to happen to Halpha.
"Initiate high alert move to Level 2 Battle Stations I want all civilians moved to the shelters immediately." Arthur ordered as he glared at the screen. "If the enemy proves itself as Separatists, we move to level 1 battle stations." Arthur ordered and thus the Tech crew understood.
"Confirmed moving to Level 2 Battle Stations now!" A Bridge tech CAST called while she got to work.
"Beginning fleet wide evacuation order to shelters Security teams are enroute to expedite the evacuations." A Newman Bridge Tech spoke with his visor on his own screen.
"Sending word down to the City Commanders on Halpha to begin evacuations estimate time to a full evacuation is 5 hours." The Bridge tech called out and thus Arthur knew what was upon them.
"I always knew they'd come here eventually." Arthur began with a stern yet saddened tone in his voice. "But I always prayed that I was wrong in that assumption." Arthur said as he had truly wished he had been mistaken in his assumption of such a coming battle. "We may be in the opening acts of the Battle of Halpha." Arthur said his voice solemn and stern knowing what was about to happen.
(Scene Break Space Separatist Fleet)
From deep in space a Separatist Fleet had dropped out from Hyperspace. It came without warning as before them was none other than Planet Halpha with the ARKS fleet orbiting it. On the bridge of the ship General Grievous and Asajj Ventress were there as Battle Droids carried out their duties.
Grievous approached the holo terminal so he may speak to his master. "Count Dooku, we have dropped from Hyperspace and are now within orbit of Halpha." Grievous said as the cyborg bowed to Count Dooku.
"Excellent." Dooku began and thus went about his next orders. "This is an opportunity to show the galaxy that the Republic cannot keep their promises." Count Dooku said, addressing General Grievous and his apprentice, Ventress. "Coordinate with the Dark Falz Collective and see to it that the peace that ARKS has known is brought to an abrupt end." Count Dooku said which the Cyborg understood.
"Yes, my lord." Grievous said as he bowed before the 'good general' directed his ships to the planet Halpha. "You may begin your attack." The General said and the Tactical Droid nodded to Grievous.
"As you command General Grievous." The Droids said and thus went to regale the order.
(Meanwhile with the Dark Falz)
The Dark Falz were gathered before what seemed to be a war room with a holographic image of Halpha's main four regions on the display. "You each know your missions and your objectives." Vader spoke as they surrounded the table. "Apprentice shall lead the battle in Retem, Elder shall be dealing with Kvaris, Gemini will provide aid in the battle for Stia, which leaves Aelio to Persona and I." Vader said only for Apprentice to raise he hand having a question about Luther's role here.
"What about Luther?" Apprentice asked as she wanted to know what Luther will be doing during the battle.
"He has another role to play." Vader said simply as Persona crossed her arms while glaring out. "Now is there any more questions?" Vader asked glaring at his fellow Dark Falz.
"None whatsoever." Persona said putting a hand to Elder's chest when he was about to ask a question.
"Very well meeting adjourned." Vader said and thus the Dark Falz parted ways, but he could hear them gossiping about him.
"I have to say Vader really gets my engines running." Apprentice said with a purr causing Vader to roll his eyes from under his helm.
"Be silent Apprentice I'm not one of your gossip slaves." Luther retorted and in turn Vader knew to keep an eye on Dark Falz [Luther] the Fallen. Persona remained for a tad bit longer but in the end, she also took her leave to prepare for battle. Vader reached out but stopped having to remind himself that this was not his original. She was gone and this one was a ghost much like he was, a ghost of his own past mistakes. Vader knew they had bigger things to worry about and that was the invasion of Halpha. Remove ARKS and the Republic will be left crippled.
(Meanwhile back with ARKS Arthur)
"Attention all ARKS! A Separatist Fleet has been spotted in the vicinity of Halpha. I repeat Separatist Attack imminent all ARKS prepare to mobilize." Came the announcement of the fleets speakers as a similar announcement was made on Halpha. The people of Halpha were being evacuated at this very moment as were the people in the fleet.
Meanwhile in the AIS Hangers of the ARKS battle cruisers ARKS Operatives were seen moving about heading to their AIS units. Tech crews were making sure the Units were operational and ready for battle while others were arming said AIS Units. Arthur for his part was moving about with concern clear in how he moved on. Halpha was under attack and with a fleet the size the Separatists had attacked with he feared for the worse.
This would be ARKS first time dealing with an invasion like this. But while all of the Operatives had been trained for this experiencing it was a different story completely. Arthur could even see how nervous the Operatives were and knew that they were scared. This was no longer a game for them this was life or death, and they were fearful of this fact. Arthur while scared was not going to allow for ARKS to let fear cloud their thoughts during the coming battle.
Grabbing a megaphone Arthur began to speak to the Operatives. "Attention." Arthur spoke as he got their attention on him. "I know your all nervous about this and not without cause." Arthur said addressing the troops going out to fight. "But we all suspected in some way or form that this day would come, and we all had prepared for it in one way or another." Arthur said as all the ARKS Operatives zeroed in on what Arthur was saying. "But now is not the time to hesitate now is the time to stand firm." Arthur said in hopes of inspiring the ARKS Operatives to stay strong.
"Look out for each other, watch over your teammates, and come back home alive. Now ARKS time to deploy!" Arthur said and thus he ended his speech and proceeded to take his leave for the command deck of the cruiser.
(Later The ARKS Ship Command Deck)
"AIS Units have been prepped for battle and are ready to deploy, battle platforms are enroute for battle." A Bridge tech announced while typing away at her console.
"All Colony ships have been evacuated to Amduskia away from the venue." Another informed typing away on his console after receiving the update on things.
"Enemy fleet is within the combat venue." Another tech began while working on her station. "Prepared to intercept on your order, sir." She said to Arthur who was overseeing this urgent combat mission.
Arthus stood at the command deck as he glared at the approaching Separatist Fleet. Many of the Bridge crew members were already hard at work ready for the coming storm. "Prepare for battle, activate the Photon Field." Arthur ordered which the crew followed without question.
"Yes sir, activating Photon Field. Photon Particles energized." A Tech said from his work console.
"Photon Field Eradiate!" The Tech woman announced and thus slammed down her hand on the field's activation button.
(Later Out in Open Space)
The ARKS Combat ships launched into battle as from their catapults AIS Units were deployed into battle. There were a few battle platforms ready just in case they were needed. There were not many of them just enough to deploy before more can be called in. AIS Units flew in formation as they had guns ready while flying over to the Separatist Fleet coming in.
Leading the counterattack was a Female CAST as she was easily controlling her AIS with a certain military like grace. This suggested that she was a pilot back before Global PSO2 Server was Iseskai here. "This is Red Leader all Wings report in." The CAST called in as she was clearly in charge of them. There was about a grand total of thirty ships in all.
"Red Ten, standing-by." Another CAST a male responded.
"Red Seven, standing-by." A male Newman reported in ready for battle.
"Red Three, standing-by." An older human male spoke
"Red Six, standing-by." A slightly pudgy Newman spoke but was ready to fight with the best of them.
"Red Nine, standing-by." A Deuman female responded as her duel-colored eyes glared at the coming battle.
"Red Two, standing-by." Another human a younger one spoke as he even gulped to swallow his resolve.
"Red Eleven, standing-by A female Newman spoke as she was from an older area of age.
"Red Five, standing-by." The last Newman female said as she was ready to fight this battle.
(Over on the Separatist Dreadnaught)
-Insert Phantasy Star Online 2 OST: Battleship Demolition Armada of Demise Sector 3 AIS Vega
"General Grievous." A tactical Droid announced to its commanding officer as they saw the enemy forces approaching their position. "Enemy fighters have been detected approaching on scope." He added as they saw the AIS Units that ARKS was known to use in battle.
Grievous chuckled to this seeing that ARKS was quick on the uptake here. "Deploy our fighters to intercept." General Grievous announced his order which the Droid nodded before relaying the order he gave.
(Later Out in Open Space)
From the Separatist ships several Vulture Droids were seen launching as they flew towards the AIS Units intent to destroy. Accompanying these Droids were several Space Worthy Falspawn as they flew to destroy the AIS's. Moving into attack position the two sides were ready to clash and begin the battle.
The leading CAST piloting one of the AIS Units noted the enemies coming their way and gave his next order to this ARKS Squadron. "All units attack formation!" He ordered and thus the AIS Units then moved into attack formation. In turn the battle began as both sides clashed and opened fire on each other. Laser fire and bullets were flying as both sides flew about trying to take the other out of the battle.
A group of AIS Units flew through the battle and sliced through some Vulture droids utilizing their swords. The Vulture Droids were destroyed as the result before Falspawn, and Falspawn Corrupted Vulture Droids flew out. The Separatist ships however were not out of the fight as they began to open fire upon the ARKS ships. ARKS returned fire and thus the sounds of lasers and explosions echoed across the venue. The Dreadnaughts fired off their turbo lasers as the AIS Units managed to avoid being hit by them.
The ARKS AIS Units were able to avoid several laser shots before unleashing a barrage of rockets that took out several of the enemy fighters. The battle continued with both sides starting things off with something of a stalemate between the two.
(Separatist Command Ship, General Grievous)
"Sir opposition proving to be difficult." The Tactical Droid reported to its commanding officer.
"Deploy a squadron of bombers and have them accompanied by a small squadron to attack the ARKS Vessels." Grievous said and thus the Tactical Droid nodded.
"Understood." The Tactical Droid said before relaying the Generals orders.
(Back to the Space Battle)
Meanwhile as the battle progress the Squadron Leader was accompanied by two other ARKS Operatives in their AIS Units. They easily weaved through the laser fire as they made their way towards the Separatist Vessels. Of course, they had a few close calls which the Squadron leader took note of.
"Watch yourselves we have a lot of heat coming from that ship's starboard bow." The CAST warned her two teammates.
"I see it." The Deuman rookie responded when he saw what his leader warned him to be mindful of.
Meanwhile another pair of AIS Units were seen flying in cleaving through a few Vulture Droids as they did so. "I'm going on!" The female Newman called as she lead the attack. "Junko cover me!" She added to her male CAST wingman.
"Right behind you, Red Five." The CAST Junko responded as they flew towards the enemy vessel before them.
The two AIS Units flew in and began to open fire on the enemy turbo lasers. At the same time, the ARKS Operatives using their AIS's Photon Rockets to nip away at their deflector shields. But their gamble paid off as the part the shot did some damage to the ship as a whole.
But as they went to return to their Squadron their celebration was short lived. Junko noted a serious problem as he was now a rock in a hard place with all the laser fire going on. But despite his ability his AIS was taking several hits that tore through its shields shredding them in its entirety.
"I'm taking heavy fire I can't hold it." Junko cried out as he tried his hardest to get through this.
"Hang in there!" the Newman cried out as she was clearly worried for her wingman. But it would not be as soon enough Junko was shot out of space as his AIS Unit crashed and exploded after several brutal shots from the Separatist invaders.
(Back at the ARKS Command Bridge)
"Councilman we're losing AIS Units!" A Bridge Tech cried out as she was monitoring the mission from her console. The battle was also displayed on a holo table as Arthur observed the operation trying to find a means to counter the Separatists invasion force.
"Sir I've detected a powerful Falspawn signal several in fact." Another Bridge member alerted as she then zoomed in on the Separatist Dreadnaught showing the source of the Signal. "I'm reading Five Dark Falz Signals and… wait there's something else." The Tech alerted and thus she tried to zero in. "One unknown Signal is noted we can't make sense of it though." The Tech said after a moment was taken to get a zone in on the unknown signal.
"Regardless, if we can remove the Dark Falz from the battle we can remove the Falspawn." Arthur said noting that they had a chance to deal a major blow to their enemies. "Get an assault team to peel off from the main defense to focus fire on the Falspawn infested dreadnaught." Arthur ordered and in turn the bride crew went to relay the order to their forces.
(Back to the battle)
The CAST was issuing orders where she can as she was leading her Squadron against the Separatist Dark Falz attack. But despite this there was a clear sign that the Falspawn just kept coming meaning there was a nest nearby. Just then communications came online for the ARKS Operative.
"Squadron Leader eyes up. We've located the source of the Falspawn be advised high chances of Dark Falz noted." Bridge Tech informed and thus the CAST nodded to the bridge crew.
When the data came through the CAST knew what to do. "Acknowledged." The CAST said as she then went to her Squadron. "Alright eyes forward everyone target that Dreadnaught we need to bring it down and put a choke hold on the Falspawn!" She said and thus her Squadron went to the Separatist Dreadnaught and focused fire when close enough.
(Meanwhile on the Command Bridge)
They saw the AIS units going for the Falspawn infested ship as this would mean they might be able to give themselves some much needed breathing room. But it seem that would not be the case as a Bridge Tech went wide eyed when he saw something alarming to him.
"Sir we have bombers moving in on the Battle Platforms!" A Bridge Tech cried out with panic in his voice. Everyone was wide eyed in panic to this information, but Arthur however kept his cool.
"Have our AIS Units fall back to give our Platforms cover!" Arthur ordered knowing the ARKS Operatives needed air support.
"Yes sir!" The Bridge Tech ordered and thus they got to work on order relaying.
(Back to the Space Battle)
The remaining AIS Units were weaving through the battle when they're communications went off. "Attention ARKS Operatives Separatist Bombers are enroute to our Battle Platforms!" A bridge tech cried out as she was warning the Squadrons of the danger. "Move in to intercept immediately!" She urged and thus the CAST Squadron Leader then nodded.
"All Wings we have a situation." The CAST said as she began to give her next order to her Squadron. "Andros, Joker, Nexus, and Nina, I want you four to peel off and cover our Platforms." The CAST said giving the order to the AIS Squadron. "Kuza and Bora you two are with me the rest of you keep the enemies attention out here!" The CAST said and thus they got moving with her new strategy.
"Yes ma'am!" They all called out and thus moved in to carry out her orders.
(Over on the Battle Platforms)
ARKS Operatives were fighting off Falspawn and Corrupted Battle Droids as they made sure these enemies did not make it to Halpha or the ARKS Fleet. Laser fire was let loose, Photon Techniques were used, and blades were seen cleaving as the ARKS Operatives fought valiantly against the incoming tide.
"ARKS Operatives! We have bombers enroute to your positions get to cover now!" A Bridge Tech cried out over the communications link to the Operatives.
Seeing the Bombers, the ARKS Operatives were wide eyed in horror before they all ran off to get to cover. The Vulture Droids began to open fire and the Bombers got ready to drop their deadly explosive payload onto ARKS. Some of the braver Operatives opened fire on them in the hopes that they get a lucky shot and stop the enemy bombers destructive attack.
But before the Bomber Droids could drop their payloads they were suddenly shot upon and destroyed by Photon Rockets. Looking to the source they saw a Squad of AIS Units moving in to intercept the enemy and protect their allies. Seeing this the ARKS Operatives cheered at the rescue before they returned to the battle at hand with renewed resolve.
(Meanwhile over on the Separatist Command Ship General Grievous)
"Sir our bombers have been destroyed." The Tactical Droid spoke as this caused Grievous to snarl and slam his hand down onto his arm rest.
"Continue the attack we must breach their defensive line!" Grievous said knowing that if they fail to make it past this first hurdle then the battle of Halpha would be a victory for the Republic and ARKS on this day.
(Meanwhile over with the Dark Falz)
Vader and his fellow Dark Falz saw what was going on and knew ARKS was up to something against them. "Several AIS Units have broken off from the main group." Vader said and thus Persona saw it.
"I'll deal with them." Persona said attempting to take her leave of the scene only to be stopped by Vader.
"No, I shall deal with them you will hold command until my return." Vader said ensuring that Persona was his second in command. Persona growled but let it be knowing neither of them had a choice on this. Vader then took his leave and headed down to the hangers to deploy into battle.
(Back to the Space Battle)
The Female CAST flew into the battle with her two fellow ARKS Operatives, Kuza and Bora in their AIS Units. "We're beginning our attack run, now." She announced to command to update them as well as her AIS Combat Squadron. "Target is marked and locked in." She added and thus went for the main ship that was deploying the Falspawn. Moving through the enemy forces the three AIS units avoided the Turbo Lasers that fired upon them with relative ease.
Proceeding with the attack the ARKS Operatives were making their way around the ship. They had two targets to deal with the main power core, and the command bridge. A precise shot will shut the ship down and destroying the command bridge would see the ship destroyed in that order. But their main goal was to take out the Dark Falz that were leading the attack with the Separatist fleet.
Flying through the Turbo Lasers the AIS Units easily dealt with the Falspawn infected Vulture Droids with ease from training. Slicing through a few they fired off their guns and Photon Rockets to make quick work of them. Moving through the enemy lines they three ARKS Operatives were getting closer to their current mission objective.
Moving through the enemy fire these pilots were clearly some of the best ARKS had to offer. But despite this fact of their skills something was amiss with this battle. The first sign of doom came when all of a sudden, the Turbo Lasers stopped firing down on them. What followed was the enemy forces peeling off on the attack of the three AIS Units.

"What?" The Squadron Leader asked as she was confused as to why the enemy would stop attacking them like that.
"What is it?" The voice of command was heard from the Squadron Leaders communication link.
(On the ARKS command bridge)
"I don't know the laser fire stopped all of a sudden." The Squadron Leader began as even the bridge crew was left confused by this. "What's more… the enemy fighters peeled off giving us a clear way in." The CAST added as she sounded confused as to why the enemy would do something like that.
"That makes no sense… unless." Arthur trailed off as he then realized what the enemy was about to do now. "Galli! Get out of there now! It's a trap!" Arthur cried out his order with urgency while taking the microphone from the Human Bridge Tech.
(Back with the three AIS's)
-Insert Star Wars Rogue One OST: Hope (The part with Dark Vader in the Hallway slaughtering Rebels soldiers)-
Alas when Arthurs warning came in it was too late for them to do anything about it. From the ships hanger a large AIS sized enemy shot out from it. It was followed by two manta shaped foes that the ARKS Operatives recognized from Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis.
The two fliers were Oruq that were DOLLS Unit enemies from the game found in the Aelio Region. But they were seen accompanying a humanoid DOLLS Unit that had a large odd-looking tail, large fists and legs, a pair of large dragon wings, and a demonic face on the torso. Despite the small difference it was clear that this was none other than the powerful enemy power armor, Zephetto Vagnolia.
Shooting out of the DOLLS went after the Three AIS Units and opened fire on them. The battle was quick as several volley's of shots hit the AIS Units before Vagnolia came in and cleaved its way through all three of the ARKS AIS Units.
(Back with the Dark Falz)
The Collective saw Vader shoot out of the ship and take out the three AIS Units and saw how he made quick work of them. When this happened, Persona growled to this while Apprentice was awestruck by the devastation that Dark Falz [Vader] the Machine brough down upon their enemies.
"Wow." Apprentice was able to say while Elder hummed impressed by what he just saw.
"So that is the battle form of Vader." Luther said as he found this intriguing. "Impressive." He said wondering what other tricks this Dark Falz had hidden up his sleeves.
(Back to the Space Battle)
Vader was quick on the uptake as he flew into the battle despite his two escort's he did not need them. Slicing his way through his enemies he surprised them with his ferocity upon them. Dominating the fight Vader was a force of nature tearing through everything that faced him.
Summoning a massive Blade Vader cleaved through his foes like they were metal against a lightsaber. This was the rage of Dark Falz [Vader] the Machine. ARKS Operatives int heir AIS Units tried to stop him, but he could not be stopped after being released. Vader tore his way through the ARKS Operatives counterstrike like a comet of death making his way towards the Battle Platforms moving towards the fleet. ARKS was unable to do much of anything as Vader tore through one vessel before landing on another and continuing the destruction against ARKS.
(Back on the ARKS Command Bridge)
Arthur stood there in utter shock and horror as he witnessed the death caused by his leadership of this operation. His crew were crying out to him for orders as Arthur watched Vader tear through ARKS like they were nothing. He was hesitating as he recalled another incident like this and thus refusing to let it continue, he had to face the facts of things.
"We have no choice, issue a full retreat." Arthur began as he knew this was a hard decision to make. "Send warning down to the planet have all civilians evacuated immediately!" Arthur said knowing they had to make the tough call.
"Y-yes sir." The Bridge Tech said as she had to face fact their counter offensive was a failure. The battle of Halpha however was far from over for them. "Attention the Operation is a failure a full retreat has been issued I repeat the Operation has failed all forces are to fall back!" The Bridge Tech called out knowing they had no choice but to break their defensive formation.
"We need to get word out to the Republic that we need aid!" Arthur called out informing the bridge of their current situation.
"Preparing the transmission now!" Another Bridge Tech called out as she went about getting word out to Coruscant to send ARKS help.
(Back over with General Grievous)
Grievous laughed as he saw the ARKS ships fleeing the battle knowing full well that they have lost. "Sir ARKS Defenses are broken." The Tactical Droid reported to his superior.
"Excellent begin our landing operations, Halpha shall be ours." General Grievous said with every intention on seizing the planet for use by the Separatist Alliance.
"Understood." The Droid said and thus relayed the order to the rest of the crew.
(Back in the Space Battle)
As ARKS was forced to fall back the Separatists were not idle as they began to break through towards the Planet. The Dark Falz's own ship was amongst them as Vader lead the charge while entering into the planet's atmosphere.

(Scene Break Halpha Planet's surface)
-Insert Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis OST The Arrival of Danger-
Alarms were blaring all over Halpha as every city and town was being alerted of the invasion coming their way. People were moving to shelters to wait out the coming storm. Many grabbing what they could carry with them mainly their children and irreplaceable valuables. Thanks to their alliance with the Republic, they had vehicles they can travel in mainly swoop bikes and speeders. But that did not change the fact that Halpha was under attack.
In Stia the Factories went on lock down as the workers were transported to shelters. Many of the stones opened up revealing defense turrets and from Stia City a defense Barrier was brought up to defend the home to ARKS factories. Ready for battle was the City Commander Hugan and his Sub-Commander Karai were ready for this battle.
In Kvaris the snow was disturbed when their own defenses were active as from the Belugana Base was seen with many ARKS Defenders moving for the action they had been training for. The Commander of Kvaris, a Newman, was prepared for whatever came next. This would be the battle for all of Halpha against both the Separatists and the Dark Falz Collective.
In Retem the mountains opened up at certain area revealing many guns placements as the Retem City Commander Nadia took her position to activate the Photonic Sound Weapon across Retem. Around her guards took position as they prepared to activate Retem Cities barrier with their own Photonic power.
The panic made them move faster as all ARKS Civilians were moved to the underground shelters of Central Cities. Others were moved to evacuation points if they hailed from towns outside the main city. One such town was Aelio Town on the coat of the Aelio Region of Halpha. Aelio Town was a peaceful coastal town known for its fishermen and was a place many ARKS Operatives and ARKS Defenders came for some quiet. This would not last as suddenly Vader broke through the atmosphere as a beam of energy that into the water by the island off the coast of Aelio Town.

As Vader came down, he shot out three other beams of energy smaller then the main that flew out to the Retem, Kvaris, and Stia Regions. A fourth beam shot out and flew towards the Resol Forest with no idea what it may lead to for many. This however was not the end of it as Vader was going to show Halpha and ARKS the truest fear.
-Insert Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis OST: Dark Falz First Contact-
When the alarms went off every ARKS Operative and Defender were moving to prepare for battle. But they never saw something like this happen. From the beam DOLLS Units came flying out as they came to the town prepared for the invasion of Halpha. From the main beam Vader flew out slowly in his massive Dark Falz form hovering over the waters heading towards Aelio Town.
On the shores more DOLLS Units arrived and came out of the water towards the people. Thankfully, ARKS Defenders were ready for battle. "ARKS we've been training for this don't let a single one of these things through!" A large human man called out holding a massive beam axe in his arms as he rallied his soldiers against the DOLLS Units. There were a great number of DOLLS, but ARKS Defenders refused to surrender their home.
With a roar of challenge ARKS Defenders charged into battle against the DOLLS despite the clear disadvantage in numbers and firepower that they had here. But the civilians needed to be evacuated first and thus they gladly sacrificed themselves for the people they are oath sworn to protect from harm.
Vader glared down upon them as more Separatist Ships came down from space to begin their occupation of Halpha. His eyes flashed as the neon blue of his form turned red for a brief moment as he gave his order.
"We need to protect the town until everyone can be evacuated!" The leader called out as he cleaved his way through the DOLLS as they fought against the ARKS Defenders. As they fought of against the DOLLS Vader fired off beams of energy that destroyed all in its path destroying Aelio Town with his fury and power. Vader was showing no mercy as ARKS Defenders were forced to either fall back or die by his power and the DOLLS Units he commanded.
(Meanwhile on the Mothership Shmni)
Shmni saw all that was happening from the core of the Mothership via several screens around her. A large majority of them showed her how this battle was about to end. She saw the lone Defender fighting off all of the DOLLS Units Vader Commanded while invading Planet Halpha. He truly was a strong man, but he was just not strong enough to win this.
(Back on Halpha in Aelio Town)
The Leader saw what was going on and quickly came to the same conclusion as everyone else did. Despite his best efforts despite his strength, it was just not enough. They held the ground for as long as they did until the leader himself had to give the order. "Fallback we can't win!" He called out as he'd rather his men survive even if he did not. "I'll hold them off GO!" He ordered and thus he got ready for the next wave of attacks to move. The ARKS Defenders understood and ran for it leaving the town until the lone Defender found himself as the last man standing fighting off against all the DOLLS Units.

Roaring in challenge he kept going as he fought them off in spite of being outnumbered by all the DOLLS. IF he knew his men, then they should have made the dash for the Northern Cave it will give them a direct path to Central City if they follow the map. So, with no regrets he glared up and pointed his weapon at Vader himself.
-Insert Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis OST Imminence
"Ok big boy just you and me." The man said glaring up at Vader refusing to backdown from the Dark Falz before him.
Vader however saw that this man was brave so he shall die braver then most he had already killed. Vader fired down several laser beams upon the Defender, but he weaved past them avoiding the shots as they came. Of course, Vader had another advantage and soon enough the Defender found himself in the sight of another beam that he could not dodge. However, he did not show fear against this foe so instead he moved and blocked the attack.
The beam hit and caused an explosion, but the Defender was alive and well still. Focusing his Photonic power, he dashed straight for Vader's massive form and managed to make a large gash in his armor with his weapon causing him pain. Vader growled and then saw the man after landing on the sandy beach charge in for another attack. Vader in response opened his core with a powerful beam charging in it. The Defender was not prepared for this as soon enough he found himself completely destroyed by the beam at point blank range a casualty of war.

The beam did not stop as it hit Aelio Town as many Civilians and Defenders who managed to get out saw it. The beam was powerful as soon they all had to get to cover as the beam tore through Aelio Town destroying everything in it even the very ground it was on. Soon enough the explosion went off as the people near it cried out in terror from the raw power that Dark Falz [Vader] The Machine Commanded with his DOLLS Units.
When the light died down all that was left of Aelio Town was a crater showing just how powerful the Dark Falz Collective truly were. All that remained of the lone Defender was his weapon that laid forgotten in the path leading to where Aelio Town had once stood.
