Chapter 5 They are the Divine Fist
Lelouch, a youth of Britannia, had been granted special abilities by a mysterious girl as well as meeting a group of men with power of the fist.
Geass, the power to command others to do absolutely anything and the Fist that can kill anyone. And Lelouch is determined to use these powers to bring the Britannian Empire to its knees. To avenge his mother and create a world where his younger sister Nunnally can find happiness. All the while knowing at the end of his quest, the Britannian Emperor, his father, awaits. Or at least, that was the hope Lelouch carried in his heart back then, and now with fists of the North and South he will...
In a Britannin Suzaku was being interrogated by Jeremiah. "Do you know anything about this weapon? Suzaku Kururugi, it was the one used to rob Prince Clovis of his life. The barrel striations leave no doubt, and we've done a little homework on you as well. You're the eldest child of Japan's last acting prime minister, are you not? Your motive here is clear."
"You're making a mistake. I have never even laid eyes on that gun; besides I heard that Prince Clovis was found murder not by a gun but something else." Suzaku tried to defend himself, but the Britannians refused to listen as they kicked his chair and put him on the floor.
"We've found your fingerprints all over this weapon. You're also suspected of murdering members of the Royal Guard. Come clean now, and you'll be judged as though you were born a Britannian, not some worthless Eleven." Jeremiah did not want anyone knowing about those men to get out, so he was determined to use Suzaku as scapegoat.
"You're wrong! I've done nothing!" Suzaku trying to tell them it was not him as they kicked him in the face trying to silence him.
Lelouch was assisting Nunnally into bed. Although she can now see, she still need time to heal before she can walk again. Thanks to Kenshiro, she will be able walk soon.
"That was Suzaku they mentioned on the news, wasn't it?" She asked her brother.
"Yep, it looks like he's still alive." Lelouch said to her
"Yeah, it's been ages. We haven't seen him since the war ended. Even we... And Lelouch?"
"What is it?"
It wasn't true what the news said, was it? She asked worried about Suzaku
"Of course not. Suzaku would never do anything like that. They've just made a mistake, Beside Nunnally your talisman will protect us, and Suzaku remember, Ken said as long as you wear it everyone you love will be safe." Lelouch reminded his sister about Kenshiro's gift
"Yeah... She looked at the talisman as it shined. "It will protect us."
" Right. Well... Good night, Nunnally." As he said good night to his little sister"
As Sayoko was watching them, she returned to her room and was lost in thought as she knew what Kenshiro was and what Nunnally talisman means, as she remembered her true mission.
Flashback 16 years ago
"Master no!" cried a young Sayoko, while Marianne, the master's wife, clutched their son and heir, Lelouch, close to her as their home came under attack.
"Marianne, Sayoko exit through this secret corridor."
"My dearest no." As Marianne pleaded with her husband not to force them to leave him.
"You must take our son and protect him, for he is the North Stars last hope." As he closed the door and saying to Marianne one last time "I will always love you Marianne always." As the door closed shut two attackers busted through the roof as they attacked Lelouch's father as he sent them flying through to wall as he walked out looked and saw he was surrounded. "Ah Atta!" As he struck more attackers as their heads and bodies exploded as more enemies came closer and he knew that this is where he is going to die.
"Lelouch my son you must survive" As he ran into battle. "Wata!"
Meanwhile Sayoko and Marianne were running for their lives, with little Lelouch in Marianne arms.
As Sayoko remembered her master's last order. "Marianne, Sayoko I am trusting you two to protect Lelouch, the Sword of Akasha will be completed soon and they have the scroll of the North and South Stars, the only thing that can stop the order of Geass is the Fist of the North Star and the 6 Fists of the South Stars, that is what defeated them centuries ago, Lelouch is the last successor to the Fist and you Marianne the North Stars guardian are in charge of keeping him safe for now, one day they will come looking for Lelouch but until then keeping our son safe and take care of him." As the birth mark in shape of the big dipper on the side of Lelouch's head shined brightly.
Flashback ends
As Sayoko remembered that day and promise she made to her master. "So, the time is nearing soon." As she went to a box and opened it, she pulled out another talisman, but this one was silver with all the stars being blue. "I hope your ready Lelouch." As she held it knowing that the North Star is calling for her young master.
In the terrorist hide out Tamaki was arguing with Ohgi. " That's why we should've issued freaking statement could've taken credit for it." As left angry as Ohgi looked at the photo of his old leader and sighed.
Naoto. I'm not cut out for this, I'm no leader. As he also thought about those men who helped them win the last battle. "Who were those guys?"
At Ashford the school was having an assembly with Principal speaking to the students.
"Truly this is bitterly painful incident for all, the viceroy of area 11, our beloved prince Clovis has been lost to us forever. However, we can and will bear the weight of this tragedy, and from this darkest of hours draw strength."
"We've lost the most crucial part of the equation." Lloyd said not happy with what's happened."
"Can we do it without him?" Cecile asked.
" Don't I wish. The other units never let go of a good pilot. And even if we got one, they never match his readings. His operational efficiency clocked at 94 percent. And they wanna replace him?"
"You should tell them that, perhaps they'll let Suzaku go." Cecile asked Lloyd hopping he can save Suzaku
"He's an honorary Britanian, they'd never listen. Ever since general Bartley's disgraced, the purebloods have the military, and I am gripped." He conformed to her there's nothing he can do.
"Besides I'm more worried about my precious specimens! What happened to those men with amazing power and ability's" Lloyd said still obsessed with the Nanto Rokusei Ken more specificality Souther and his South Star Pheonix fist much to Cecile annoyances.
"Well, we may have new pilot soon because the Knight of twelve is on her way." Cecile told her higher up much to his shock.
"What Monica Krushevsky a member of the Knights of the round is coming why?" Llyod asked being now annoyed then happy.
"Jeramiah asked for her assistances, as well she's coming for a personal reason." Cecile told Llyod no curious about Monica's reasons.
"And what reason is that?"
"She said it's a private matter, but it involves a lost loved one." Cecile told Llyod saying to him how this matter is personal.
On a plane to Area Eleven.
On the plane, Monica Krushevsky, the Knight of Twelve, was lost in thought. She had requested to come to Area Eleven personally determined to find her long-lost love. The prince, who they said was dead, she knows in her heart that it was a lie. She knows he is still alive, as she looked at the necklace around her neck, the charm being a five-pointed golden star. She knew the one she loved was there alive.
"Lelouch," she said with love, the promises they made when he and Nunnally were banished to Area Eleven. As she kissed the star with love, she recalled the promise that Lelouch made to her, that he would make her his wife.
"Lelouch, I-I love you." As she said with love and blushed hoping to find her prince.
Back at Ashford Lelouch was lost in thought on how he was going to save Suzaku he had already called Ken and the five master's about his plan and how they were going to pull it off, and said it was going to be one hell of a show but interrupted by Rivalz.
"Hey Lelouch! You got anything going on later? After all classes have been cancelled for the day, hawks have been asking for a rematch." Rivalz asked his friend
"You are not gambling you guys!" Shirly told them like a mother scolding her child
"Come on. Don't be such a stick in the mud. "
"She's right though." Maybe it's time to quit. Lelouch said shocking his friends.
" Huh?" Rivalz was beyond confused now.
"I found better opponents actually people who can give me a real challenge. He told them all with pride in his voice.
" You did? I don't get it." Shirly said just as confused as Rivalz.
"You'll cut me in on the action too, right?" Rivalz said acting like schemer.
" A-Hahaha. Better not. It's not really up your alle these guys are really tough" Lelouch said with Rivalz being a little scared at Lelouch now running with the tough crowed.
At the Viceroy's Palace Monica had made it there with Jeremiah and his men waiting for her.
"Ah Lady Monica we have been waiting for your arrival." Jeremiah being very respectful to the Knight of the Round, but Monica knew he was just brown nosing her and got right to the point, the reason way she is there in Area Eleven.
"Cut to the chase Jeremiah my time is precious, you know why I'm here, the only reason why I'm here personally." The Knight said not wanting any of Jeremiah's crap.
"Y-yes my Lady Of Course I was just welcoming you is all, we have already captured the one responsible for Prince Clovis death." Jeremaiah said to Monica who was not interested in the Prince Clovis, as she came here looking for the Lost prince, Prince Lelouch and his sister Princess Nunnally.
"I'm not talking about Clovis, you know what Prince I'm talking about." She said with venom in her voice to Jeremaiah.
"Yes, I know why you're here. You're still looking for Prince Lelouch and Princess Nunnally. We have already told you everyone has told you, Lelouch and Nunnally are dead. I'm sorry, but it's true." Jeremiah told the Knight Twelve the truth. Even after the war with Japan was won, Jeremiah looked for the children of his lady Marianne but never found them accepting the fact that they were dead. But Monica did not believe it, so when she became a Knight of the Round, she spent all her spare time looking for them. She had been all over the world but never found them except for Area Eleven Now she is sure that they are here; she can feel it in her heart and soul.
"You do know I don't believe you, I know they're here I can feel it." As she looked down on the star neckless and Jeremaiah noticed the neckless and knew how she felt.
"I see you still have Prince Lelouch's gift; I remember the day he gave it to you and the promise he made to you, that he would make you, his bride."
"Please Jeremaiah don't get in my business." As Monica told him to be silent as they went to get Suzaku ready for his Trial then exaction.
Meanwhile at Tokyo tower Kallen was there as she had gotten a message to be there, along with her allies being there as she looked and say the museum until she heard an announcement for her.
"Attention please. Paging Miss Kallen Stadtfeld, Ashford Academy. One of your personal effects has been turned in at the kiosk on the observation deck. I repeat."
"Hi. I'm assuming that this phone is yours, ma'am. Uhm, something wrong? It is yours, isn't it?" The woman asked Kallen
"Ah, yeah thank you so much." As she took the phone, she noticed her comrades there as will and looked on the phone and said Zero on the message confusing her.
" Uhm... Hello?"
"I want you to board the outbound train on loop line five. And bring your friends."
"What?" As the phone hung up on her.
On the train Lelouch, Kenshiro, and the Nanto Masters were ready an act their plan.
"So, we're ready to do this huh? Will we've come this far no Turing back now." Rei said ready to show this world what the power of the fists can do.
Souther laughed in amusement. "Yes, I'm ready to show those pigs what real power is."
"Yeah, those animals are about to feel the wrath of North and South star." Shin said ready to slice the purebloods apart.
"The plan is ready, now when last pieces get here, the war will begin." As Lelouch placed on his mask as on this the day Zero is born, and for a brief moment Lelouch's birth mark on the side of his head in the shape of the Big Dipper shined for a moment but Ken noticed it but thought it was nothing, but he thought to him to keep an eye on Lelouch just in case.
As Jeremiah was speaking to Diethard about the memorial and their plan to execute Suzaku. "You handled His Highness's memorial program very well, a little too weepy from my taste but..."
"Yes, well the masses tend to like tear-jerker, your excellency." Diethard said with boredom in his voice.
"Spoken like a true TV-man. Still I have to acknowledge the finesse you've shown. You did well in the short time you had. One would almost think you were expecting His Highness to meet his untimely end. Said with suspicion in his voice."
"It's quite common from memorial program to be set in advance for important people."
"Does that include me as well?" He asked.
"Recent event may have bumped you up the list a bit your excellency." Diethard conformed/
"I wasn't deemed important enough till now is that it? How forthright of you!"
" I'm afraid so sir."
"Ever thought of enlisting? The army could use more men like you." As Jeremiah offered him a place in the army.
"I don't think it would be a very good fit. Not really my cup of tea." The reporter said denning Jeremiah.
"You prefer the civil sector I take it. No matter, I have another favor to ask of you. tomorrow tonight, Suzaku Kururugi will be transferred to his court-martial and then executed."
"We should line the road with good patriotic Britannians." Diethard insisted
"Excellent. You catch on quickly, don't you? Be sure the rabble can see his face."
"Lord Jeremiah, there are those among the Elevens who see private Kururugi as a hero. Some might very well make an attempt to free him." As Viletta warned them of the Elevens that might try to save him.
"I'll be there personally aboard my Sutherland. If anyone even thinks of causing trouble, they will be executed on the spot."
"Specking of which were is lady Monica herself why is she not here?" Diethard asked confused about Monica's absents.
"She's out looking for any leads on the whereabouts of Prince Lelouch and Princess Nunnally, she still refuses to admit their dead, so she's looking for them, the only reason why she came here was to find them. It's sad if you ask me. Viletta said with sigh.
On the train Kallen and her comrades were on the train when Kallen hared the phone go off.
"What now?" Kallen answered it.
The mysteries voice continued. "Face forward and look to your right. What do you see?"
Kallen answered "The Britannian city. It was stolen away from us and built on our sacrifice."
The voice asked again. "And on the left?"
Kallen answered again. "I see our city. Remnants of the desiccated city after the Britannian sucked it dry."
"Good answer. Now make your way to the front of the train." The voice said as she and her friends moved to the front train car.
As Kallen Ohgi and the other's made their way to the front train they so seven people there waiting for them the six large men had hoods over their faces so no one could see them, but the seventh was wearing long purple cape and wearing a mask over his face. They were all confused by this.
Kallen finally spoke. "Was it all of you? On the phone?"
"Wow... Do you think it's a trap?" Yoshida said a little afraid that this could be a trap.
As one of the hooded men laughed and spoke to them. "None of the you have to worry this is not a trap, after all." As all the men except for the seventh removed their hoods and to the rebels shock it was the six men who had helped them in the ghettos, Kenshiro, Rei, Souther, Shu, Yuda, and Shin. "It would be against are mission to betray the people we have come here to help." Souther said with pride in his voice.
Kallen knew two of them Ken for saving her form being raped, and Shin for saving her life from a knightmare.
"It's you two Ken and Shin!" Kallen exclaimed.
"It's nice to see you too child, like I said destiny would allow us to meet again." Kenshiro told the young rebel.
"Mmm. I must say girl you are really cute in that schoolgirls outfit I must say." Shin said finding Kallen's school outfit adorable with Kallen blushing red with her comrades being shocked someone made her blush.
"I was the one who called you here, for I am Zero and these men are known as the Nanto Rokusei Ken. Masters of the South Star, and the sixth is a the 64th Successor of Hokuto Shin Ken or the Divian Fist of the North Star." Zero explained.
The man known as Zero and the six masters explained to them who they were and why they there. Each of them recounted the story of the two schools of Nanto and Hokuto martial arts, and how both are twin styles of the same art. They described how Nanto over 108 different styles, whereas Hokuto has only one. Ohgi then asked about their origin, and Ken explained that the six of them came from another world, a world after a nuclear apocalypse. Initially, did not believe them, but then Yuda demonstrated their abilities with their bare hands. Realizing they were telling the truth, they all understood, like Lelouch, that their world is far better off than the masters' world.
Zero then explained how Suzaku was wrongly framed and how they are going to save him, with no other reason to not trust them the rebels listened.
Meanwhile with Monica she was looking at the records of anyone who matched Lelouch or Nunnally and she found it records of reports at Ashford Academy as well as school photos of a teenage boy matched Lelouch's discerption, she knew they were there, and she was on her way to find her love and the other she considered a little sister.
"Lelouch my darling I'm coming just wait a little longer." As drove to the school.
The next night Suzaku was being sent to his exaction ready die even knowing he was framed, as everyone in the settlement was watching the transport go by as news was reporting on it.
"Any moment. Any moment now. It's a sight to see. The throngs' lining the route. All of them waiting on bated breath. Waiting for the accused murderer of Prince Clovis to pass by. An honorary Britanian and a former Eleven Suzaku Kururugi."
As the news reporter continued the people say the transport caring Suzaku coming done the road. " I, I can see them! They have the suspect! Suzaku Kururugi is headed this way!" As every Britanian were calling for Suzaku's death.
meanwhile back Ashford Nunnally and Sayoko were watching the report and Nunnally sad that one of her childhood friends was about to be killed. "Suzaku." She said with sadness in her voice until someone from her passed came in, someone she had not seen in years.
"Hello, little flower Princess."
"It can't be, M-Monica?" She said with both sadness and happiness.
"Margrave Jeremiah, integral in settling this case, will be presiding over the trial as acting consul."
Everything was going as planned until someone on the radio called Jeremiah. " What is it?"
"Vehicle approaching the main highway from third. We just let it through as you instructed but..."
"Do you believe the target could be a terrorist's vehicle?" Jeremiah Asked to be share
"Well, no sir its large transport truck."
"A truck? Well, looks like we've got a comedian. Don't worry about it. Just let them through to us. All forces hold here!" Jeremiah ordered
As everyone was confused about the transport making a stop as the news kept on reporting. " This is not a scheduled stop. Could there have been some sort of accident? This is site 5. There is a vehicle approaching them It's, it's a large transport! And it's heading straight for the cavalcade! Wait what's this there six hooded figures on top of the truck! could they be terrorist?!"
"You dare disrupted this prisoner transport? Huh? Well way don't you all the show your faces." Jeremiah demanded.
As from the top the truck a man in a cape and mask appeared out of nowhere and spoke with power. "I AM Zero!"
"Who is this man calling himself Zero? Are we gazing on a terrorist? Certainly not the wisest if such is the case."
"I've seen enough, Zero. This little show of yours is over!" As more Sutherland's appeared
"Shin! Rei! Souther! Yuda! Now!" As all the four masters attacked the knightmares with force.
"Gekisei Kakubu! Rei" shouted his technique to cut a the mech in half.
"Nanto Hakuha Zan!" Shin attacked with hands like talons on a bird and sliced the knightmare into pieces.
"Kōzan Shō!" Souther called out as he empowered one of his hands, lifting it overhead for a violet aura to appeared in his hands. He then hoped into the air and span, slicing the ground below in one motion cutting the knightmare in half down the middle.
"Denshō Reppa!" As Yuda started his attack using a powerful vacuum wave that tear along the ground cutting the knight into pieces leaving everyone who was watching shocked that these hooded men just destroyed a team of knightmares with no effort.
"Folks I-I don't know what to say these men just destroyed a group of knightmare frames like they were nothing with their hands!" News reported and everyone was shocked to see this, Jeremiah figured out who these men were. "It's you!"
"So, you figured it out huh? how presentive." as the all the men removed their hoods everyone saw who they were, Elevens or Japanese but as they removed their robes the Britannians saw how these men were built, they were strong and powerful, and their bodies showed it.
"Who are you people? Tell me now!" Jeremiah demand with anger.
"Who are we? We are the five masters Nanto sei ken, we are the Nanto Rokusei Ken! The Fist of the South Star! Souther declared with might. "I am the leader of the master's, I am Souther, my Star is Shōsei the Star of Leadership."
"My name is Shin, my Star is Junsei the Star of Martyrdom!"
"I am Yuda, of Yosei the Star of Enchantment."
"I'm Shu, of Jinsei the Star of Benevolence!"
"And I am Rei, of Gisei the Star of Justice!"
"WE ARE THE FISTS OF THE SOUTH STAR!" They all shouted in unison leaving everyone in shock at these men using Japanese words and names for their titles.
Suzaku who was watching all this and for him it felt like he was watching a shonen anime come to life, sure he does not agree with their methods, but he said to himself. "Awesome."
"And who are supposed to be, you the one in the middle!" Jeremiah asked in a demanding voice.
"Who am I? I am the 64th successor of Hokuto Shinken the Fist of the North Star! Ken yelled out with power in his voice. "And we will give one chance let Suzaku go or die. Ken said coldly.
"The hell we will!" A solider said as he ran up to him and attacked him only for Ken to stop him with one finger to the four head. "Thats it? Is that all you got, you think you can kill me with a finger?" As Ken removed his finger a dark arua surrounded him.
"That finger struck the hidden vital point known as Gakuchu. There's no use fighting now. your already dead." As he said this the soldiers body began to contort and rupture from within, as everyone who saw this were beyond horrified at this that this man calling him the Fist of the North Star with one touch can kill anyone, and then the soldiers finally exploded into a bloody mess.
"This is your last chance, give us the boy or die." Ken said giving them another chance.
"Never! This Eleven is responsible for Prince Clovis's death! He must die! Jeremiah refused to hand Suzaku over.
"Your wrong! Suzaku did not take Clovis's life!" Zero reviled to everyone.
"Then who did? Was it you Zero!"
"No. I took Clovis's rotten life!" Kenshiro reviled to everyone he was the one responsible for the prince's death.
"Then you should die!" As Jeremiah attacked with his knightmare only for its arm to be destroyed on contact with Kenshiro much to everyone's shock even more and then he attacked with his one technique. "Tenryu Kokyu Ho!" As he used this technique, he become much stronger and faster, as he tore through the unit like they were nothing and was able to get to Suzaku and jumped back to the transport truck and gave one last speech to Britannia.
"Now Britannia your days of tyranny is over! You now face the power of the Fists of North and South Stars now when you see us know that there is no way to stop us! Anyone who feels oppressed only needs to look up and see the hope that shines brightly in the heavens above!" Ken declared as he pointed up to the sky as everyone in Japan looked up and saw it the most awe-inspiring thing ever.
The Big Dipper. It shined so brightly than ever before with Britannian's being scared, but the Japanese were all in awe at this with many men women and children crying tears of joy believing their prayers had been answered, that a group of saviors have come at last.
With enemies disposed of and Suzaku safe, they left with them leaving Jeremiah and his forces even more humiliated than before.
When they found a safe place to hide the let Suzaku from his prison and now was the chance to get him on their side Lelouch wanted his friend to join them.
"It looks like they treated you rather roughly. Now you know what they're really like, Private Kururugi. Britannia is rotten. If you wish to bring change to this world, then join me." Zero offered him a place with them
Kenshiro, is it true? Are you really the one who killed Prince Clovis? Suzaku asked him.
"Yes, I did but I assure you I had no chose, he was going to kill everyone in the ghetto, it had to be done.
'I see but still there could have been another way." Suzaku said surprising all of them.
Zero again offered him a place with them. "Come join us. The Britannia you serve is a worthless dominion."
"Maybe that's true, but... but this nation, it can be changed for the better, and from within." Suzaku said trying to get them to understand.
"Changed?"
"And any ends gained through contemptible means aren't worth anything." As Suzaku said leaving them.
"Wait. Where are you going?" Zero said in question
"My court-martial begins in an hour."
"Damn, are you mad? The only reason they're giving you a trial is to find you guilty. The judge, the prosecution, and defense." Lelouch tried to get him to understand
But Suzaku said. "Rules are rules. And if I don't go, they'll start cracking down on Elevens and honorary Britannians."
"But you'll die."
"I don't mind." Suzaku retorted
"Don't be an idiot."
"Let him go Zero." Kenshiro said to Lelouch. "Suzaku, do you believe you can change Britannia from within?" Ken asked.
"Yes, I do."
"Very well then, you may go." Ken said and continued. "You just better be prepared if your goal fails, I know from experiences."
"Then I just have to hope I'm right, and I will say this, what you guys did back there was really awesome it was a good show, well so long for now. As Suzaku left Lelouch wanted him to stay but Lelouch looked at Ken and knew this was Suzaku's path and he had to respect that no matter how much he hated it but hope for him to join soon as Lelouch left to return home to his sister.
When Lelouch got home he noticed the lights were still on and wondered if Nunnally had watched the news report.
"Nunnally I'm home sorry I'm..."As he stopped as he saw someone from his past someone, he thought he would never see again, the girl with long golden hair and beautiful blue eyes it was the love of his life.
"M-Monica?"
"Lelouch."
There was brief silents between them, as they looked each other's eyes and Monica broke the silents.
"Oh Lelouch! As she ran up into his arms as he held her close after all these years. "I've missed you so much! They said you and Nunnally were dead, but I knew you were both alive!" She said with tears in her eyes as the boy she loved held her close.
"Monica. I've missed you as well, I never thought I would see again! My dearest." He said with love and happiness in his voice as the girl he loved had returned in his life with Nunnally watching she had tears of happiness in her eyes as she had never seen her brother happier than this before.
"But how, how did you know where to find us and why are you her in Area Eleven?" Lelouch asked the Knight.
"We can talk about that later my Prince, right now I just want spend some time with the ones I love most." As Monica, Lelouch, and Nunnally would spend that night talking about everything they have been through even though Lelouch failed to get Suzaku on his said he found the love of his dreams had come back in his life.
