Chapter 38: Questions

It was the middle of the night and Angel stirred slightly something had woken her up and she wasn't sure what. When she tried to sit up, she found herself not able to move. Not only that, but she was laying on something that was not a pillow. Whatever she was laying on, it was warm. Not only that but for some reason she felt safe as opposed to scared even though she was stuck there. Angel felt around in the dark, trying to figure out what it was that was holding her in place. She realized it was someone's arms and they were wrapped around her. She tried to think, but she was tired and sore. She just laid there for a minute, willing her brain to figure out what was going on. Then she remembered the night before.

She had activated her powers, beaten Charlotte, won the Diva's Title, deactivated her powers and passed out. But that still doesn't explain what the hell is going on now. Why can't I move and what am I laying on? Angel thought. She lifted up her head and looked up, but she couldn't make anything out in the dark even with her powers. Angel tried to move again, but it didn't work. Then she suddenly heard a familiar voice in the dark.

"Are you OK, sweetheart?" it asked.

Angel sighed in relief. Now she knew what was going on. She must have been using Roman's chest as a pillow and he was hugging her. Angel relaxed a lot. Nothing was hurting her, she knew now. It also explained why she had felt safe rather than scared.

"I'm alright. Just got a little worried when I couldn't move" Angel whispered, her eyes closing again.

Roman sighed. He just laid there for awhile. He had never seen Angel this exhausted or sore post match before and it was making him worry. He decided that he would have to talk to Taker in the morning.

The next morning, Roman woke up to find that Angel was still sleeping on his chest. He smiled before gently moving her and getting up. When he looked over to where Lea had been sleeping, he saw that her bed was empty. He stood up and put his shirt on before leaving the room, making sure that he closed the door behind him. He had barely walked two steps before Lea ran up to him, asking if Angel was still sleeping.

"Yeah. She's still resting" he told her.

"She'll be alright. Don't worry" Taker said, having caught the look of genuine concern on Roman's face.

"I don't think Angel has ever used her powers at full for that long before. And Daddy also said that doing that blocks out pain, so that's why she's tired and sore. She just needs a good rest...and maybe a hot bath or something. Don't worry" Lea told him.

Roman nodded. Somehow—even though the reassurance was coming from a child—Lea made him feel better. She does know more about this than you do. He reminded himself. Just as he was about to say something, the door opened and Dean, Kristy and Wyatt came in. When Kristy saw Roman there, she glared daggers at him, realizing that this was where he had been all night. She opened her mouth to say something, but Taker spoke up first.

"You can stop that right now, Little Kristy. Nothing happened last night. Roman was genuinely concerned for Angel, so I let him stay here. Besides that, and to put it bluntly, Angel is an adult now. What she does in her bed is her business, no one else's" Taker told her.

"I don't want details. Angel's bedroom business is hers and hers alone" Kristy said.

"Then why are you looking at me like you want to murder me?" Roman asked.

"Oi! Ro, take a joke, will you?" Dean asked.

"I don't think she's joking. Mom doesn't want what happened to her to happen to Aunt Angel" Wyatt said.

"Kristy, I get where you're coming from trust me. But I have way more integrity and respect than Wade Barrett ever will. I would never ever do that to Angel" Roman said.

"I know...but..." Kristy said.

"You're protective of Angel. I get it" Roman said.

"But seriously, no details please" Dean laughed.

"Yeah, yeah" Roman said.

"How did we all miss that Uncle David was a jerk?" Wyatt asked.

"What do you mean?" Lea asked.

"Well, Mom's always been super protective of Aunt Angel. For as long as I can remember anyway. Uncle David used to get mad at her about it sometimes, telling her to back off and let Aunt Angel do her own thing. Roman is the opposite. He's really understanding about it, actually. Not to mention other stuff that Uncle David has said and done. He was a jerk. How did we miss it?" Wyatt asked.

"Your Uncle David was good at hiding his jerky ways, Wyatt" Kristy said.

"Apparently" Wyatt said.

Just as Wyatt finished speaking, the door opened and Angel stepped out. She looked refreshed and ready to go, albeit with a black eye. Even still, everyone was grinning.

"How are you feeling?" Roman asked.

"I feel fine. As for my eye...well, Charlotte decided I needed a memento, I guess. It will heal eventually" Angel said.

"You're sure you're okay?" Roman asked.

"Yes, Ro, I'm fine. Really. Sure, I have a black eye and I'm a little sore today, but what Charlotte did was a walk in the park compared to what I have been through. Trust me" Angel said.

"It really was. Trust me" Kristy said, looking slightly angry.

"What's with the angry look? I'm the one who lived it, not you" Angel said.

"You know how she feels when it comes to Jason, baby girl. And Kristal too, come to think of it" Taker said.

"I know. I know. My point is that one black eye and some soreness is nothing. Now, if only the title didn't look like a glorified Barbie accessory around my waist" Angel said.

"HEY!" Nattie and Kristy said at the same time.

"What I mean is that it looks better on the two of you than it does on me" Angel said.

"I think it will look better with your ring gear, kiddo" Owen said.

"Angel, what if Charlotte calls you out tonight or interrupts you?" Lea asked.

"I'm expecting it. Don't worry" Angel said.

"We get to listen to her whine about losing" Wyatt said, rolling his eyes.

"And poor Angel gets to be the one on the receiving end" Dean said, looking disgusted at the idea.

"Bayley, Becky, Kristy, and Nattie will be with me, so at least no one has to worry about me getting jumped and mauled" Angel said.

Lea nodded, thinking that Angel was right. She was just glad her sister was alright and that a black eye and some aches and pains were the worst of the problem.

~Later that Night~

Angel stood in the Gorilla Position with Becky, Bayley, Kristy, and Nattie. She watched as Charlotte paced the ring with Alexa, Carmella, and Sasha watching her pace. She looked livid, that was for sure.

"Last night was the worst night of my career. I lost my title to a washed up, talentless little peasant who got here on her Daddy's name. I deserve a rematch. In fact, I demand a rematch and if the Dead Girl doesn't—" Charlotte started.

She was cut off when a gong sounded. Then Angel walked out with Bayley, Becky, Nattie and Kristy following behind her. Angel climbed into the ring and posed on all four turnbuckles, raising her belt in the air. Then she hopped down and asked for a microphone. She turned and glared at Charlotte. Everyone looked stunned. Angel seemed livid for whatever reason.

"Let me just take a guess here. You were going to say something like "If the Dead Girl doesn't walk out here and hand me my title, I'm going to find her and take it because she doesn't deserve to hold my title". Right?" Angel asked.

"How did you know that?" Charlotte asked.

"Because if I had a dime for every time someone has said something about how I don't deserve to be Champ or I don't belong in the WWE or that I'm no good or that I'm nothing, I could literally march into Vince McMahon's office and buy the WWE out from under him. People really need to come up with new stuff" Angel said, rolling her eyes.

"You don't deserve my title and you—" Charlotte started to say.

"Save it, Queenie, because I have been there and heard it all in the years that I have been in the WWE and even before that. You can't just come out here and demand things. Just because you are the daughter of Ric Flair and your Dad is Triple H's best friend, does not mean you own the WWE. Get to the back of the damn line" Angel snapped at Charlotte.

"Why you…." Charlotte said.

"Charlotte, do everyone a favor and shut up. Please. You're putting them all to sleep with your self entitled garbage. As for the title, it makes me a target and I realize that, so if the powers that be agree with me, a Women's Battle Royal would be a good idea. Whoever wins that, gets a title shot" Angel said.

Just then, Stephanie McMahon's music played. Everyone looked toward the ramp. They saw Stephanie standing there. She looked perturbed and happy at the same time. She seemed to be thinking about something. She took a deep breath.

"Angel, I like your idea. Tonight, there will be a Divas' battle royal and the winner will face Angel at Night of Champions. Charlotte, you are not allowed to participate" Stephanie said.

"What?! How dare you?! I am the Queen and you will—" Charlotte started.

"I will not be doing anything for you, Charlotte Flair. Because I found out something today. In order for you to win that title in the first place, you had your Daddy inject Kristy with something during the match! That was how you won!" Stephanie snapped.

"You…did…what?!" Angel growled.

"Prove it!" Charlotte snapped.

"Gladly. You left this in your bag and your Dad brought it to me" Stephanie said.

With that, she held up a small zip lock bag. Everyone in the ring looked stunned, except for Charlotte. Inside was a syringe that was about half the size of a normal one. Everyone could see that there was still a bit of whatever had been injected into Kristy at the time of the match left inside.

"You…dirty…little cheater!" Angel growled.

"How can you even prove that my Dad injected Kristy with anything during that match?" Charlotte asked.

"Let's ask someone who was there. Kristy, do you remember anything about that match that seemed….out of the ordinary?" Stephanie asked.

"Come to think of it, some of the match is kind of a blur. I do know that at some point I felt a sharp pain in my arm" Kristy said.

"Also, it seemed to take her a few minutes to even realize she had lost the title. Now we know why, I guess" Angel said.

"One last question: what exactly was it that was in there?" Kristy asked.

"Why does that matter?" Nattie asked, speaking for the first time.

"Because whatever it was only took a few seconds to take effect and it zapped the hell out of my energy when it did. It explains why I was completely exhausted" Kristy said.

"Very true" Angel said.

"Alright, Steph, what are you going to do about this? You can't just inject someone with drugs in the middle of a match as a way of cheating and let them get away with it. Even if she is a legend's daughter. If it was Angel or I, you'd be handing down punishment so fast, our heads would spin" Nattie said.

"Oh, I plan on it, believe me" Stephanie said.

"You can't do anything to me. I'm the daughter of—" Charlotte started.

"Shut up. I'm the daughter of the Undertaker. Kristy's the daughter of the British Bulldog and Nattie is the daughter of Jim "The Anvil" Niedhart and you don't see us walking around here like we own the place. Get the hell off your high horse" Angel snapped, glaring daggers at Charlotte as she spoke

"Your father's name means nothing when it comes to hurting someone" Kristy said.

"What are you going to do about it?!" Charlotte snapped.

"Kristy isn't going to do anything about it, but I will. Charlotte Flair, you are suspended indefinitely. And I'm fining you one hundred and fifty thousand dollars" Stephanie said.

"Go home, Charlotte. And while you're there, get rid of your arrogance. It'll do you good" Angel snapped.

Charlotte got up in Angel's face to the point that their noses were almost touching. Then Charlotte slapped her. It caught Angel off-guard and she staggered backward into the ropes almost falling from the ring.

"You're one to talk about arrogance, Dead Girl. You—" Charlotte said.

"Angel has no arrogance. She doesn't parade around here like she owns the place, reminding everyone that she's Undertaker's daughter every two seconds" Bayley said.

"Wait, Steph. Don't suspend her just yet. I want my chance. I don't want to be a victim of a Flair. Let me have a match with her tonight. Loser leaves for good" Kristy said.

"You have your match, Kristy. But I am not putting that stipulation on the match. Regardless of Charlotte's poor attitude and poor judgement, she and you are both talented and I'm not losing either one of you. After this match, Charlotte is suspended indefinitely. Maybe while she's gone, she can find any shred of decency she had when she first got here" Stephanie said.

"Alright. It's a deal. One more thing. Nobody is allowed at ringside. I don't want any interference or cheating" Kristy said.

"Fair enough" Stephanie said.

"Good" Kristy said.

"Good luck, Charlotte, you're gonna need it" Nattie said.

Then Bayley, Becky, Nattie, and Angel left the ring. They walked back to the gorilla position, passing Stephanie on the way. When they got back there, they stopped and looked at Angel as though expecting something to happen. She could feel them staring at her.

"What?" Angel asked.

"You OK?" Kristy asked.

"I'm fine. He slapped me worse than that" Angel said.

"You've already got a red mark on your face, Angel" Bayley said.

"I'll live" Angel said.

"You sure you're alright?" Kristy said.

"If I broke down every time I got slapped by one of the women on the roster, I'd be breaking down every match. I'll be fine. It hurt a little, but I will live" Angel said.

The other girls nodded. Then they headed back to the locker room. This whole situation was crazy. Angel couldn't believe that someone could be so talented and smart and yet be so dumb at the same time. She also couldn't believe that someone could be so underhanded as to literally use drugs as a way of cheating. Angel opened the locker room door and flopped down on the couch.

"Angel? Hello?" Lea said.

"Sorry, Baby Lea. I'm just thinking" Angel said.

"About Charlotte?" Lea asked.

"Yep. And about how totally disgusted I am with her behavior" Angel said.

"Me too! I mean, literally using drugs to screw Mom out of the title? What is wrong with her?!" Wyatt asked.

"It's called a Superiority Complex, Little Man. She thinks she's better than us is all" Angel said.

"But she isn't. And tonight, Mom is gonna teach her as much" Wyatt said.

"And what about the Divas' Battle Royal. Is there anyone you would want to face?" Lea asked.

"Lea, you sound like Michael Cole" Kristy said.

"Oh, god. I've been here too long" Lea said.

"That is a good question though, baby girl. Is there anyone you would want to face?" Taker asked.

"Hm. In terms of athletics, my pick would be Naomi. If you're talking powerhouse, Nikki Bella. And if you're talking technical, it'd have to be Natalya or Brie Bella" Angel said.

"The Bella Twins…really, Angel?" Kristy said.

"Says the person who teamed with Nikki for a night. Besides that, Brie is nice if you recall. Nikki is the one who has attitude" Angel said.

"Not going to argue that. Although she wasn't so bad when I was teaming with her" Kristy said.

"That was before Cena dropped you like a hot potato and went to her, remember?" Angel said.

"I know. I know" Kristy said.

"Either way, whoever I face will have earned it. The match itself will be fun because it won't be Charlotte Flair" Angel said.

Kristy nodded. She agreed with that at least. When they got back to the locker room and opened the door, Roman jumped up, looking concerned.

"Don't worry. I'm alright. I promise" Angel said.

"Angel, you know how we are. We're going to worry when you get hit like that, given everything you've been through" Taker said.

"I know. I think I'm OK though" Angel said.

"Steph is pretty pissed off right now. She's making the so-called Queen leave. Turns out Uncle Bret was right. Flairs will do anything for a title" Kristy said.

"But drugging? Really? Are we sure it's legitimate?" Owen asked.

"You doubt me?" Kristy asked.

"No, Little Kristy. I'm not doubting you. I just have a hard time believing that Charlotte would stoop that low. Flair or not" Owen said.

"We don't even know which one of them came up with the idea. If I was a betting person, I'd say it was the old man, but I'm not so sure. Why would he go to Steph if it was his idea? He'd get himself in trouble too" Angel said.

"Hunter maybe?" Nattie asked.

"No. He hates us, but he isn't that dumb" Kristy said.

"I don't know. He didn't want Kristy as Champion, remember? And he wants me as Champ even less" Angel said.

"What do you mean?" Taker asked.

"Nothing. Don't worry about it" Angel said quickly.

"Angel…" Taker said.

"It's not a big deal, Daddy. Right now, we have to figure out who came up with this crazy idea to drug Kristy and how the hell they managed to pull the crap off. All we know is how it ended" Angel said.

"With me, flat on my back, without my title, half asleep" Kristy said.

"Seth" Dean said, suddenly.

"Seth? What do you mean? Why would he do this?" Kristy said.

"He wouldn't. But…he'd give the idea to someone who could give it to the two Flairs" Angel said.

"You think he gave the idea to Hunter who told Flair and his brat?" Roman asked.

"It's entirely possible, but we have no proof" Nattie said.

"Seth would have to get the idea from someone. Why would Ric turn it into Stephanie though?" Owen asked.

"I agree. Seth isn't smart enough to come up with this on his own. He has air in the space between his ears. As for Ric turning it into Steph, well, maybe he felt guilty? I mean, he is the dirtiest player in the game and all, but he kept it within certain…shall we say acceptable things?" Angel said.

"These theories are all well and fine, but we don't have proof about any of it. All we know is that Kristy lost her title because of it" Nattie said.

"Aunt Nattie is right. We can't prove any of this stuff" Wyatt said.

"Maybe we can" Dean said with an evil grin.

"No. I'm not asking for a favor" Kristy said suddenly knowing where he was going.

"But he could help" Dean said.

"No! Uncle Bret won't stand for it!" Kristy said.

"What the hell did we miss?" Angel asked.

"Shawn. Dean thinks he would know the truth" Kristy said.

"No. Shawn could find out. Look, I know you guys don't like him, but he's our best shot" Dean said.

"Ambrose is right. Shawn could find out. If he doesn't know already." Taker said.

"True. If Hunter had anything to do with it, he'd tell Shawn. He tells Shawn everything. I mean, Shawn did try to stop Hunter from attacking me that one time, remember? The only reason it didn't work was because Hunter locked Shawn in a locker room, so he couldn't do anything." Angel said.

"Yes" Kristy said.

"What Bret doesn't know won't hurt him, Little Kristy. Besides, the sooner we get to the bottom of this, the quicker we can move on to your match with Charlotte and the Battle Royal for Angel's next challenger" Taker said.

"Fine. I don't like the idea, but let's do it. So, who is the unlucky one who gets to interrogate Shawn?" Kristy asked.

"I'll do it, Mom" Wyatt offered.

"No way, young man. You're only a child" Kristy said.

"So I guess that means that I can't do it either?" Lea asked.

"We know you want to help, but this is a grown-up problem" Angel said.

"I'll do it. At least Shawn will talk to me" Owen said.

"Good idea. Owen gets along with nearly everyone here. Good luck. And be careful, please. He still associates with Hunter" Kristy said.

"Yes. I know. Here goes. I will be back" Owen said.

"If he comes back angry we know what happened. Owen rarely gets mad" Angel said.

The rest of them agreed. Owen left the locker room and headed down the hall. He knocked on Hunter's office door. When the door opened, Shawn stood there. Both of them were surprised to see the other.

"Hey, Owen, if you're looking for Hunter…" Shawn started.

"I'm not. I'm actually looking for you. I need to talk to you and it's important" Owen said.

Shawn nodded. He let Owen in and closed the door. Owen noticed that he locked it too. It made him wonder if Shawn knew what Hunter was up to and didn't like it. There's something going on if he's locking his best friend out of his own office Owen thought.

"What's up?" Shawn asked.

"I'm sure you saw the segment earlier with Kristy and the others" Owen said.

"I did" Shawn said.

"OK, then I don't need to bring you up to speed. Now, we can do this one of two ways. If you know anything, you can tell me, or I can put you in the Sharpshooter until you give it up or your legs are broken. Take your pick" Owen said.

"You're supposed to be the loveable one. I was hoping y'all would come find me" Shawn said.

"Well, if you were hoping I'd come find you, then tell me what you know. We want to get to the bottom of this so we can move on with our night" Owen said.

"All I know is that Hunter is involved with his puppy" Shawn said.

"His puppy? You mean Seth Rollins?" Owen asked.

"Yeah. That kid. As far as I know, Hunter gave the idea to Seth. I guess it went from there. I didn't know exactly what was gonna happen. I just know that when I saw Hunter last, he was gloating about how Kristy wasn't gonna be the face of the Divas Division for much longer and that it was gonna be Charlotte Flair" Shawn said.

"Shawn, how can you be friends with him?" Owen said.

"I don't know anymore" Shawn answered.

"OK. One more question: is Hunter mad that Angel is Champion now?" Owen asked.

"Well…he did call me the night Angel won her title and he wasn't happy. Why? Did Angel say something?" Shawn asked.

"Yes. She said that while Hunter didn't want Kristy to be Champion, he wanted Angel to be Champion even less. I think she may have overheard someone saying something and it got to her" Owen said.

"He wasn't happy, but he has to watch it when it comes to Angel. Steph will have his balls if he lays a finger on Angel" Shawn said.

"Why?" Owen asked.

"Steph is sick of Hunter picking on Angel" Shawn said.

"She's not alone there. I'm starting to wonder if Angel overheard Hunter on the phone with you that night. Do you know what he said?" Owen said.

"Something about how it went from bad with Kristy to worse with Angel and that "someone like her" didn't deserve the title. When I asked him what he meant, he made reference to her blindness…and the scars on her arms. I can see why it got to her. I mean, I've seen her wrestle since she's come back. The blindness and the scars don't bother her when she's in the ring, I know that" Shawn said.

"And what did he mean by bad with Kristy?" Owen said.

"He said Kristy didn't deserve the title because she was deaf and that things had gone from bad to worse. I tried to tell him that Kristy and Angel's disabilities had no bearing on their ability to wrestle and perform in front of an audience, but he was too angry to listen to logical thought" Shawn said.

"Sounds like him" Owen said.

"Look, I'm sorry about all this. And if there's anything I can do, please let me know" Shawn said.

"Well, if you get any hints that he's trying to screw with Angel, you can tell us if you're able to, alright?" Owen said.

"Deal" Shawn said.

"And do not tell him about our conversation. You may not be on the best terms with my family, but I'd hate for him to go after you. I mean he has before, but still…" Owen said.

"Right" Shawn said.

"Oh…and thanks for this. I know you're taking a risk" Owen said.

Shawn nodded. Owen unlocked the door and left, closing it behind him. He walked back to the locker room. When he walked in, everyone seemed like they were relaxed, although Owen could feel a sort of nervous tension in the air.

"Well, that was interesting. I don't know why Shawn is friends with the man…and apparently, neither does he" Owen said.

"What did you find?" Dean asked.

"You were all sort of right. This was Hunter's idea. Shawn didn't know exactly what he was going to do, but last time Shawn saw him, he was gloating about how Kristy wasn't going to be the face of the Diva's Division for much longer and it was going to be Charlotte Flair. According to Shawn, Hunter talked to Seth and it went from there. It was clear to Shawn at that point, though that Hunter had a plan of some sort" Owen said.

"Figures that sell out would do this!" Roman said.

"Randy never did this. Never. Well, maybe at the start, but still…" Kristy said.

"Randy never stooped that low to win. I mean, he'd stoop low, but there was a limit there" Taker said.

"And I also found out something else. Shawn talked to Hunter the night Angel took the title from Charlotte Hunter didn't like Kristy as Champion because she was deaf. He likes Angel as Champion even less because of her blindness and her scars. Shawn tried to tell Hunter that those issues had no bearing on the girls as wrestlers and performers, but he wouldn't listen" Owen said.

"That wasn't all he said" Angel whispered.

"What do you mean?" Owen asked.

"His exact words were 'Shawn, I don't know what to do. This was bad before what with a deaf woman being Champion, but now we have…'" Angel started.

"Ang?" Kristy said.

"I don't know if I should say it. None of you will take it well" Angel said.

"Baby girl, just say it and get it done" Taker said.

"He said '…but now we have this woman who is a blind, scarred up thing with a messed up brain'" Angel said, letting her tears fall.

"Oh, Angel…" Owen said.

"H-he's s-sort of r-right…I-I mean…I-I d-did h-have a h-head i-injury b-because of my a-accident…b-but…" Angel said.

"Angel, how come you're stuttering?" Roman asked.

"It's a side effect of the accident. She usually manages to keep it out of promos because she can't show emotions because of the character she plays" Kristy explained.

"It's OK, Ang" Dean said.

"I…I t-tried t-to h-hide it f-from y-you t-two b-because…I-I d-didn't w-want y-you t-thinking I-I w-was…s-strange…" Angel whispered, looking specifically at Roman as she spoke.

"Sweetheart, it's not your fault. You're not strange" Roman said.

"It doesn't make you strange, Angel. It's just something that happens sometimes is all. So what?" Dean said.

"T-thanks…" Angel whispered.

"You two, I need to ask you something. First, I want to say that Shawn is right and your issues have no bearing on your abilities as performers and wrestlers, but how is it you can go out in front of thousands of people and perform and be fine, but when someone points out your flaws, it hurts?" Owen asked.

"Because we fit in out there. They don't care that I can't hear or that Angel is scarred or missing her sight. They love us anyway. Besides, we have to deal with the issues on a daily basis. We don't need people pointing them out" Kristy said.

"Now that I think about it, she's right" Owen said.

"M-maybe h-he's r-right. M-Maybe I…" Angel started.

"Don't you dare! Angel, you have worked too long and too hard to get back to this point, you're not throwing it away because of some asshole who doesn't know what he's talking about!" Kane said.

"I…k-know...b-but…" Angel said.

"Kane, think about how hard this job can be when you have all of your pieces in the right places and then imagine trying to do it with no sight. It cannot be easy" Nattie said.

"Being deaf isn't easy either" Kristy said.

"I'm not saying it is, Kristy. It's not easy to do when you have your hearing and your sight" Nattie said.

"Baby girl, if you give up now, then he wins" Taker said.

"S-so? I-I'm g-getting t-tired o-of b-being p-punished f-for n-nothing. I…d-don't k-know if I c-can d-do i-it a-anymore" Angel whispered.

"Maybe we should hang up our boots?" Kristy said softly.

"What?! Not you too, Kristy!" Dean said.

"Stephanie will be bummed out when she hears this. And when she finds out what he said about the two of you, he's going to be in big trouble" Owen said.

"What makes you say that, Uncle Owen?" Kristy asked.

"Because Steph sees how much work and effort you put in and loves the fact that you're not letting your disabilities stop you. Not to mention the fans. I mean, how many boxes of homemade stuff do you two have at home?" Owen said.

"I think Ang has more than I do. So many fans sent her get well stuff when she got hurt" Kristy said.

"Even so, think about it. Hunter is one person in a sea of thousands of people. Are you really going to let him win?" Roman said.

Angel and Kristy looked at each other. They knew Roman was right. Hunter was only one person in a sea of tens of thousands of people who cared about them—whether or not they knew the two girls personally—and if they gave up now, Hunter would win. Angel took a deep breath before speaking, trying to get her stuttering back under control.

"Ro is right. Hunter is one person in a sea of thousands of people who care about us, whether they know us or not. I am not ready to hang up my boots. I saw how hard it was for Kristy to have to give up the title and I don't want to do it unless I absolutely have to and I'm going to be a fighting Champion too." Angel said.

"I'll stay too. Shawn is right. Our disabilities don't impair our abilities to perform and wrestle, so I'm not going anywhere" Kristy said.

"And I'm going to talk to the old man. Hunter needs to learn that what he says has consequences." Taker said.

Kristy and Angel beamed. Everyone else sighed in relief. This had been a long night already and there was still more to go.

I split this because it was super long. Not going to wait another freaking YEAR to update I promise. I love you guys. Please read and review. And once again, I am super sorry. Lots of love!~Taker's Soul Girl
