Hey guys merry Christmas I don't have much to say so let's just hop into this chapter
Uchiha Sasuke Vs Hyuga Neji
Neji, hearing his name, made his way into the arena. As he entered the arena a plume of smoke appeared revealing Kakashi and Sasuke. Stepping out of the smoke, Kakashi headed for the arena seating while Sasuke stayed in the arena.
The two competitors looked at each other, a long-standing clan rivalry looming over the two. The protector raised his hand yelling "Begin".
But neither of them moved, the silence that surrounded the two was palpable. The first movement came from Sasuke as he flipped through five sets of hand signs with his finale being Tiger.
"Fire release: Great Fireball Jutsu." As Sasuke finished, a giant fireball rushed towards Neji who looked unworried.
As the fireball was close to hitting him, he started spinning, calling out "Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven"
The fireball disappearing as fast as it had appeared. By the time Neji stopped his Justu Sasuke was already upon him. Sasuke threw a hook that Neji dodged then went for a leg sweep that made Neji jump.
But this is exactly what Sasuke wanted, hitting Neji square in the gut making the boy spit saliva but before Sasuke could bask in landing a hit the boy disappeared leaving behind Chakra smoke.
As he looked around for the pale Hyuga boy he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Five shuriken that dashed towards him at frightening speeds.
He swapped with a log at the perfect time before the shuriken could hit him.
As he reappeared across the field, he was met with the Hyuga boy presence who unleashed a fury of hooks and jabs at the Uchiha boy. But Sasuke dodged all of them with the help of second tomoe sharingan.
After dodging for five more seconds, he found a hole in the boy's form. Taking this opportunity he dodged under a hook that the older boy threw countering with with an uppercut to Neji's rib causing the boy to take a step back.
Sasuke, taking this rare opportunity, flashed through a hand seal before stopping on the tiger seal "Fire Style: Phoenix Flame Jutsu"
He shot five smaller fire balls towards Neji. Neji who back flipped off the first one then rolled over the second then hit the chakra point of the third smaller fireball.
Finally for the last two smaller fire balls he started spinning again calling out "Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven" making the final two disappear as Neji came to a stop, he saw Sasuke flashing through hand seals he wasn't familiar with.
As Sasuke finished, lightning started to crackle along his hand. When the jutsu finally covered his whole hand, he moved into a crouch position.
"Damn it, I only have three chances with this jutsu anymore and I risk destabilizing the jutsu or worse killing myself." With this in mind Sasuke rushed towards Neji who saw this and started spinning again.
As Sasuke continued to get closer, the jutsu finally clashed. As they battled, it looked like the Chidori would outpace the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven 'I need to add more chakra if I don't, he is going To breakthrough or I might stop spinning' as Neji added more Chakra the Spinning ball expended canceling out the Chidori which in turn threw Sasuke back. Who caught himself after two backflips and planting his hand in the ground slowing him down.
"Up in the Kage Booth"
While Sasuke and Neji battled, the two Kage talked and watched as the Genin fought below.
"Hokage Sama don't you think this is an amazing fight" The Fourth Kazekage asked "Yes i do Kazekage Dono" Hiruzen said his voice giving way to no emotion
"Ahh lighten up Hokage Sama" The Fourth Kazekage now looked at Hiruzen. While happy for the young Genin here getting the opportunity to be promoted he couldn't find it in himself muster the strength to be genuinely happy.
Over the past twenty days he had looked back on a lot of his life decisions and came to the conclusion that at moments he could've done a better job at a lot of things but he wasn't one to soak in the past, but he did have one regret. That being how little he was there for Naruto.
He had made a Promise to both Minato and Kushina to take care of the little bundle of energy. But he had been so busy worrying about not showing favoritism that he didn't even really take care of him. That was his only regret, the one thing he would die regretting.
With Naruto
Naruto was recovering from his fight with Yugi He had a little over 30 percent of his chakra left. Holding the Water Dome Jutsu for that long had been taxing even if he had huge chakra reserves.
Looking around he saw Shikamaru in a pose that made him look like he was asleep, but Naruto knew better than to think this.
Ino was fangirling over Sasuke as usual, so was Sakura but he looked past the two. Only to see the girl that he had saved during the Forest of Death. Now that he looked at her clearly, she was relatively pretty and well-built for her age. She had dirty blonde hair and toned skin, she also had four buns for a hairstyle.
While dating wasn't something Naruto thought about now he couldn't deny that she was beautiful. But he was snapped out of his thoughts by the now approaching Nara.
"Sasuke and Neji fight looks intense" he said all this while his eyes were still on the fight happening below. "Yea but Sasuke will pull out the win" he replied, "Why do you say that" He now looked at the blonde boy
"Think about it even though Neji has the byakugan and that jutsu that he just showcased Sasuke still has the advantage because of his diverse skill set" he looked away from the young Nara looking back at the fight.
Back with Sasuke and Neji
Both boys were painting heavily. Sasuke had scratch marks and scar lining his body with the Hyuga sustaining the same scratches and scars.
Sasuke had already used two Chidori's "Dammit only one left got to use it strategically" Sasuke dash off towards the older of the two boys but he was stopped in his tracks after a strike hit him at the top of his left shoulder as he tried to move his shoulder, but it didn't move.
He turned and looked at Neji who was now grinning "You fell right into my trap, you can't escape destiny,
and your destiny is to lose to me" before Sasuke has time to respond Neji called out his jutsu "Eight Trigram Sixty Four Palms" Neji dropped down into his stance and started attacking Sasuke.
He went for Sasuke's right side yelling out 16 palms then attacked Sasuke's middle area yelling again this time saying 32 Palms he then attacked Sasuke's whole body when Neji finished, he silently whispered "64 palms" Sasuke felt his body going stiff while also growing cold.
looking up he saw Neji with a wide grin on his face "Looks like we now know who the strongest is between the Hyuga and Uchiha the destiny for this match was always for me to beat you" he smugly said while looking at Sasuke
"You wanna know why… it's because the Hyuga are far superior than the Uchiha" as he started walking towards the sitting area when he felt a sudden burst of chakra. Turning back, he saw Sasuke starting to transform.
With black markings starting to cover his body it started with the left side of his body then spread across his entire body. "You can say destiny this destiny that but I will never let you disrespect my clan or my family" the boy then rushed Neji twisting his boy for an axe kick that was caught by the Hyuga. But he responded with a hook that landed squarely on Neji's right cheek.
He then followed that up with a leg sweep that Neji jumped over backflipping away. Sasuke, still on the offensive, flashed through hand seals and said "Fire Style: Fire Dragon Jutsu" a flame dragon began to materialize out of the boy's mouth and rushed towards the Hyuga boy.
With the dragon coming closer Neji once again started rotating with a blue dome of chakra materialized around him. The fire dragon smashed down on the dome hard but the dome ended up prevailing.
As Neji stopped rotating Sasuke was already upon him with lighting chakra coursing around his hand. He thrusted his had forward and Neji with no place to run decided to hit one of Sasuke's chakra points in his arm.
As the two blows connected Neji was blown back from the attack hitting his head on the arena wall. Without the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven protecting him he really had nothing to defend himself with.
The stadium then broke out into cheers and applause and as the crowd quieted down the Procter declared Sasuke the winner of the match.
