U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701
Chapel sat next to M'benga as the familiar red headed admiral appeared on their screen. The I.W.C. codes that they had received years ago made sure that their call wouldn't be traced or recorded. Chapel noted that she didn't seemed thrilled to see them, "Doctor, nurse; what can I do for you?"
Chapel swallowed. After their trip to the past and learning just how much power the admiral had she had to admit the woman scared her. "Hello admiral," Joseph began, "There's been a development."
Willow sighed almost in frustration, "I would assume so or you wouldn't be calling me would you?" M'benga shook his head, "We found the wreckage of a shuttle, from the Serenity." Willow did a double take, "Where?" she asked with a tinge of anger in her voice."
"Milea VI," Chapel shot out. She gulped as just for a moment the Admiral's eyes went solid black before returning to normal, "You shouldn't be there. Your presence is endangering an undercover mission that's taken years. You are ordered to withdraw immediately."
M'Benga shook his head, "We can't our captain, first officer, and chief medical officer are missing on the planet."
"I'm sorry," Willow said, "This mission is too important. They're on their own."
"Admiral," M'benga began, "Commander Spock is one of the officers."
Willow's face went slack. The Enterprise officers knew that the admiral liked the Vulcan and had even extended an offer to join her organization permanently. "Shit!"
Milea VI
Kirk and McCoy struggled against their guards as they were led down a hallway with Spock walking calmly with them. It was clear to the Vulcan that they were at the moment in no danger, and if he was correct the leader was the undercover slayer that he momentarily feared was the corpse strung ou outside this compound. After a few turns they were led into a room and chained to the wall. It was a room built out of masonry and did not appear to have any windows or cameras. He figured they were being brought to this room to prevent spying.
"Only the best for you lot," one of the vampires said with a sadistic smile, "She usually only brings slayers in here, and they never make it out alive."
Once the trio were secured they guards left the room, "There's that word again," McCoy said, "What the devil is a slayer?"
Spock looked at the doctor, "I am not at liberty to say, but I can assume that you will find out relatively soon."
McCoy looked towards Kirk with annoyance on his face, "Why didn't that make me feel any better?"
Kirk shrugs as the heavy metal door opened with a groaning sound and the raven haired woman from earlier stepped into the room. With nothing more than the flick of her wrist the door that had taken two of their guards to open slams shut and with a push to the button on her bracelet the three men were freed from their bonds.
"Who arā¦" Kirk started before being cut off as she walked right up to Spock and pressed a finger to his chest, "What the hell are you doing here Spock?"
Kirk's eyes went wide, "You know this woman?"
The woman identified earlier as Fatale rolled her eyes as Spock straightened, "Captain Kirk, this is Captain Buffy Summers of the Interstellar Watchers Council, head slayer, and former captain of the U.S.S. Serenity."
"You're Starfleet?" Kirk asked dumbfounded, "I thought you were going to kill us. The guards say you use this room and prisoners don't come out."
Buffy rolled her eyes, "I'm undercover. I use this room to debrief before they beam out and beam in a double to appear like I killed them."
"And just how do you pull that off?" McCoy asked with a bit of gruff indignation in his voice, "We're three men. Who's to say we can't overpower you?"
"Easy," Buffy said as she pulled a metal rod from a recessed alcove in the wall.
"You are going to beat us with that?" Kirk asked, "If so, I must warn you that we will defend ourselves."
"No," Buffy said with a roll of her eyes before bending the heavy looking rod and handing it to the captain, "My goal is to get you out of here alive. Especially Spock; we're old friends after all."
Spock nodded and said, "Captain Summers rescued me from twenty-first century California six years ago."
"There has to be some mistake," McCoy said, "How could you have been a captain six years ago? You look like you would have barely been old enough for the academy."
"I'm older than I look," Buffy said icily. To this day it irritated her when people judged her age by her appearance.
"Captain Summers is a Lanthanite." Spock answered.
"I remember my time on the Enterprise shadowing Commander Chin-Riley. Their chief engineer at the time was a Lanthanite if I recall." Kirk said thoughtfully. "I didn't get to know her very well with all the singing and dancing going on."
"I heard about that," Buffy responded as she looked at Spock, "I was worried you all had summoned Sweet again." Spock raised his eyebrow as to question, but Buffy had already moved on, "So you've met my grandmother."

Uhura was walking towards the officer's mess when she felt an arm grab her and yank her into a nearby service corridor. She whipped around ready to fight but saw Nurse Chapel and Doctor M'benga standing there with a be quiet motion. "What the hell is going on?" she whispered harshly.
Chapel again gave a calming motion, "Nyota, we have a problem."
Uhura rolled her eyes at the blonde, "And? Since when is this a new thing?"
"No," M'benga said as chapel shook her head, "Not a normal problem."
"An Admiral Rosenberg problem," Chapel finished.
Uhura felt the color drain from her face, "A what now?"
Chapel sighed, "The shuttle the away team went to investigate⦠It's from the Serenity. Admiral Rosenberg has an undercover agent on the surface."
"We have to tell Scotty," she said. But chapel and M'benga just shook their heads, "We have orders not to," Chapel answered, "The admiral gave us this." She handed the communications officer a data chip, "Your orders are to scan the loaded frequency and respond with the stored message when you get a hit."
Milea VI
"I don't understand, Kirk said. "If this place is loaded with demons," he continued with disbelief in his voice, "And you're this slayer they're all afraid of. How do you keep your cover intact?"
Buffy flipped her black hair over her shoulder showing off the spikes that had been surgically implanted, "Demon's aren't the sharpest of creatures. New hair, some make up, and a pheromone injection take care of most of them."
A chime sounded from Buffy's bracelet and she looked annoyed
"I said I didn't want to be disturbed," she barked into the device on her wrist.
"Yes Fatale," came a gruff voice, "A ship is demanding to dock."
"So handle it."
"They are demanding your attention. It's his ship."
"On my way, have the guards return our guests to their cell."
Buffy closed the channel, "I really wish you guys weren't here. Things are about to get complicated." She pointed at their discarded restraints, "I'm sorry to do this to you, but Dracula has come to play."
