-Emerald Forest-
A crow soars through the sky majestically, cawing a few times. It was truly a peaceful sight, well until...
Ruby smashes into the bird at full speed; "BIRDIE NO!"
Ruby shoots Crescent Rose to slow herself down, as she uses the scythe to catch onto a tree branch.
Weiss uses her glyphs to slow her descent. Ren uses his Gun Blades to rotate down a tree, swing on to the ground. He dust himself off, but he hears an explosion as a yellow blur zooms above him.
Yang uses her Shotgun-Gauntlets to stay in the air, she soars fast above the trees.
"WAHOO!" Yang cheers and laughs in utter glee.
Veldora who is a distance away laughs as well, He liked Yang's boisterous attitude. She was like a female version of himself.
He then landed on a tree branch, he needed to find Rimuru quickly, or else he risked being partners with...
"Ara, who knew we would be partners, little brother." a elegant yet chilling voice, Veldora doesn't want to turn around. But his body moves on it's own, he looks up into his elder sister Velzard's scary eyes.
"E-Elder...S-Sister!" he stutters out fearfully, Velzard smiles at him.
"Aw, what's wrong my cute little brother?" Velzard fake pouts, "Not happy to see your Elder Sister?"
"N-No it's not that!" "Please don't punish me!" Veldora fully bows his head.
Velzard looks at him with a confused expression, "Why would I do that, you haven't done anything wrong have you?"
Veldora looks up, some hope glimmering in his eyes.
"As long as you behave yourself, Then I have no reason to punish you." "So, I would behave if I were you.." She says chillingly, as Veldora whimpers in fear.
Meanwhile, Rimuru smacks face first into a tree and falls on a large branch, he immediately stands up and glares towards the cliff.
"Asshole!" "He could've warned me!" He says annoyed, but he sighs. What was the point of complaining, he leaps off the tree branch and lands on the ground with a thud.
"Ah, if it isn't Rimuru." He hears a familiar voice, he turns around to see a smirking Guy Crimson.
"Oh no, out of all the demon lords...I have to be partners with HIM?" he groans to himself out loud.
"Oh what's wrong, am I not good enough for you?" he fake whines, he shows his best puppy eyes as he approaches Rimuru.
"Guy you're not fooling anyone with that fake-ass pouty face." Rimuru says with an irritated look.
"Man you are too boring Rimuru, almost as much as Leon.." Guy laughs.
"Please don't compare me to him.." Rimuru sighs, he didn't like Leon that much. "Anyway Guy, we have to stop wasting time and get to the ruins."
Guy nods in agreement as the both of them jump into the trees.
-Eastern Emerald Forest-
Diablo lands gracefully on the ground, he chuckles.
"Well, I guess it's now time to find Rimuru-sama." he smiles, but a voice reaches him.
"Hm?" "Diablo, is that you?" a child-ish voice says through the brush.
"Ah Ultima, sorry but I want to be partners with Rimuru-sama." Diablo says turning away from the bush.
"Oh, I did too." "But it seems Rouge...I mean Guy has already got to him." Ultima says stepping out of the bush. Poor Diablo, his chance to be on a team leaded by Rimuru-sama gone even before he landed. He immediately hit the ground on all fours.
"Rimuru-sama..." he says quietly, but Ultima taps him on the shoulder.
"Come on Diablo, wouldn't it be rude for us lowly servants to be on the same team as our liege when we're not even close to his equal?" Ultima questions, this somehow made Diablo feel better. He stands up quickly and clears his throat.
"True, you make a valid point Ultima." "We should probably do as Ozpin-dono says and head north."
Ultima nodded, but they suddenly hear a growl from the bushes.
"On second thought, maybe we should deal with these bugs first." glares Ultima as she pulls out a short sword she got during the shopping trip.
"Kufufufu, Indeed...It would be bad if they got in our way." Diablo chuckles summoning his clawed hand.
Several Beowolves appear out of the brush as they surround the two demons, the demons launch themselves at the Grimm. "For the glory of Rimuru-sama!" they shout.
Meanwhile, in the western side of the Emerald Forest. Testarossa lands gracefully on the ground, her elegance showing even with the military uniform she was wearing. Her red eyes scanned the field in front of her, at the same time she finds a Ursa who is not yet aware of her presence. She smiles deviously.
"Ara Ara, it looks like you are lost poor thing~" she says quietly approaching the Grimm, she creates a small 'Death Streak' in her hand.
The Grimm doesn't even have time to fully turn around before falling to 'Death Streak'. The Grimm turns to dust as Testarossa gives a pleasant smile. But she hears some
one come down from the trees.
"Hey be careful with that, Our Lord probably doesn't want you killing everything you know." Carrera says landing on the ground with a thud.
"Fumu, there's no reason to be worried." "I would never go against Lord Rimuru's orders." Testarossa says in a joking tone of voice.
"Gosh your hopeless aren't you?" Carrera sighs with a smile, she then pulls out her golden gun and without even looking shoots a Grimm behind her.
"Isn't it weird though?" inquires Testarossa, Carrera raises an eyebrow at this; "What do you mean Testarossa?"
"The Grimm don't seem to notice us, I wonder why?" Testarossa questions.
Carrera looks up to the sky and taps her foot, "Oh, maybe because we're demons." "I guess you could say we are fellow creatures of darkness."
Testarossa gives Carrera a disgusted glance; "Carrera, please don't compare us Primordial's to these pathetic bugs."
They end the thought communication, they pinpoint north and start to walk there.
-Northern Ruins-
Rimuru and Guy watch the ruins from the tree line, searching for any Grimm. But after not being able to detect any, they jump out of the trees and slide down the hill.
"I think this is it." Rimuru says walking up to the small ruins, they walk into them where they lay eyes on the relics. But they happen to be somewhat familiar to Rimuru.
"These are chess pieces." Rimuru says looking at the relics. Guy looks at them with a curious expression on his face, but then he walked up to one of them and grabbed it.
Guy gains a smug smirk on his face before showing the piece to Rimuru; A black king piece.
Rimuru rolls his eyes at the joke, "Oh very funny..."
Guys smirk only widens at this reaction, the dragon was even more fun to tease than Leon was.
They prepare to return to the hill, but they sense two people approaching. It's Yang and Blake.
The two girls slide down the hill, noticing the two already there.
"Hey, long time no see you two." Yang waves, "Looks like you beat us to it."
Blake rolls her eyes at this statement; "Yang, we're not here to try and beat each other." "We're here to grab a relic and return to the cliff."
"Oh come on, have some competitive spirit Blake!" Yang pouts.
Rimuru chuckles at Yang's attitude, but even Guy and himself weren't the first ones. They could've been if they had used their true speed or teleportation, but that would look way too out of place to the teachers watching them.
"Anyway, we'll be heading back to the cliff." "See you guys-" Guy starts to say before they hear a high pitched scream off in the distance.
"Some girl is in trouble!" Yang exclaims, Blake nods.
"It seems that way, I guess someone ran into a large Grimm." Blake says.
But just as Blake utters that sentence they hear a voice call out from...above them?
"HEADS UP!" Screams Ruby while plummeting to the ground, but before she can even hit the ground Jaune slams into her at a similar speed sending both of them into a tree.
The four hunters in training stand in an awkward silence for awhile before Blake breaks the silence; "Did your sister just fall from the sky?"
"I..." Yang utters speechless, Rimuru starts laughing.
"Wait was that high pitched scream, JAUNE?!" he giggles at the fact that Yang mistaken his scream for a girl one.
"No way, you mean that girly yelp was Jaune's?!" Yang laughs.
Before Rimuru and Yang could make fun of Jaune, they hear a yell of joy as Nora comes crashing through the forest foliage riding on the back of an Ursa. But she was tormenting it way too much as it died soon after. All to the relative disappointment of Nora.
"Aw, it's broken.." Nora says sadly as she looks over the corpse of the Ursa, which slowly turns to dust.
A exhausted Ren appears from behind the Ursa, "Nora, I beg of you...don't do that ever again."
But Nora wasn't listening because she was already at the ruins grabbing a relic, she grabs a white queen piece.
"I'm queen of the castle, I'm queen of the castle!" Nora sings in a bragging manner, but she is stopped by Ren who calls out for her in frustration.
"NORA!"
She pauses; "I'm coming Ren!"
Guy chuckles, "I forgot about her for awhile, she quite the character isn't she?"
Rimuru nods, they were confused but it seemed the other two were even more so.
"Did...she just come in riding an Ursa?" Blake asks, Yang tries to respond but can't bring words together.
Again almost immediately right after that incident, a loud roar comes from the bushes as they watch Pyrrha being chased by a large Death Stalker. She narrowly dodges it's pincers as she continues running to the ruins.
She calls out to her partner; "Jaune!"
"Pyrrha!" Jaune responds.
Ruby though finally managing to put herself back together after being sledgehammered into a tree by Jaune, notices Pyrrha being chased by the Death Stalker.
"Woah!" She exclaims before dropping down from the tree.
Guy and Rimuru watch on as the craziness increases by the second, this is exactly what Guy wanted. Complete and utter lunacy is fun to watch and participate in. Rimuru however is more panicking than anything.
["Master..."] Ciel tries informing her master of something, but Rimuru is to overloaded with information to listen.
"First Ruby falls out of the sky, then Nora and Ren ride an Ursa into battle, and THEN Pyrrha comes out of the woods being chased by a massive Grimm!" Rimuru says trying to pull himself together, too many troublesome situations are happening at once.
"Ruby?" Yang calls to her sister, who smiles back.
"Yang!" Ruby responds about to hug her sister. But they are suddenly interrupted by two particular individuals.
"Nora!" "Milim-noda!" Nora and Milim call out appearing in-between Ruby and Yang.
Rimuru looks surprised, where did Milim come from?!
["She came from the woods behind you Master, you were just to distracted even when I tried to warn you."] Ciel explains in an upset manner.
"S-Sorry Ciel, I'm just a little overloaded right now." Rimuru apologizes to his manas.
"While we're here can you tell me what that massive scorpion grimm is?" Rimuru asks his manas.
["That is a Death Stalker, a large grimm that normally lives in less populated areas."] Ciel explains.
"That must mean it's more powerful than most grimm." Rimuru says, the others near them must be cautious.
Blake then interrupts Rimuru line of thought; "Did she run all the way here with a Death Stalker on her tail?"
Guy nods, "That does seem to be the case." "It's actually kind of impressive she managed to outrun that thing."
Guy might've been impressed but Yang wasn't, she looked furious.
"I can't take it anymore, can everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?!" Yang rages, for two seconds nothing seems to happen. Until Rimuru decides to ask Ruby something.
"Uh Ruby, where did you come from?" Rimuru asks
Ruby points up to the sky, the demon lords look up and gain a multitude of expressions.
For most of them it was an amused expression, for Rimuru and Ramiris though it was a pale one.
Above them was Weiss, the demons, and the dragons were riding a giant nevermore. The demons and dragons looked like they were having the time of their lives, Weiss however wasn't so ecstatic about the current situation.
"Ruby did you leave the princess up there?" Rimuru asks.
"Don't worry Rimuru, she will be just fine." "I was after all."
"Yes but that's not the point." Rimuru says exasperated, "She's gonna fall you know?"
Suddenly Rimuru hears a voice nearby, "Oh dear, it seems she's falling."
It was Luminous looking up at the Weiss who is now plummeting to the earth.
Jaune who finally managed to pull himself together, noticed the falling Weiss. This was his chance to make the snow angel fall for him! He impulsively jumped off the branch he was on and catches Weiss princess style.
"Just dropping in." Jaune says smoothly, but his moment of shine was abruptly cut off by a little concept known as gravity.
Realizing that he was still in the air, they both plummet towards the ground now. Jaune landed first on his face with a thud, Weiss then landed on Jaune making him groan in pain.
"My hero." She says factiously said as Pyrrha ran from the death stalker behind them.
Soon, the whole group was together. Dino was awake and being carried like a bag by Draguel.
"Dino, you need to stop being so lazy." Rimuru points at Dino.
"Shut up, I can be as lazy as I want!" Dino shouts back at Rimuru.
Pyrrha then gets nailed by the claws of the Death Stalker sending her flying face first into the ground by the others.
"Great, the gangs all here." "Now we can die together!" Yang jokes.
"Not If I can help it!" Ruby says as she rushes at the Death Stalker.
"Ruby wait!" Yang calls out.
Ruby uses the recoil from Crescent Rose to launch herself towards the Death Stalker, but the large grimm just swatted her away like she was a fly. Ruby manages to get back up with some difficulty.
"I-I'm ok!" "Nothing to worry about!" she tries to reassure the others, but she notices the Death Stalker right behind her. She shoots it once in the face before trying to run back to the group. But during her rush back to the group the giant nevermore she was riding returns and fires it's fatal feathers at Ruby, one of them hits her cape causing her to be unable to run.
"Ruby!" "Get out of there now!" Yang calls out to her sister again, but with more panic than before.
Ruby starts trying to get her cape loose from the feather pinning her down, but the Death Stalker finally gets close enough to swing it's tail down at Ruby. Yang looks scared out of her mind, but a white flash speeds forward. It was Weiss, speeding to Ruby's rescue.
She swings her rapier trapping the Death Stalkers' tail in ice, "You are so childish!"
"And impulsive, and don't get me started on your fighting style!" she continues scolding Ruby.
Rimuru watches on, it seemed like Weiss was doing what she did before but he could tell something was different. She seemed relieved, she was scared out of her mind for Ruby's sake. I mean anyone logically would be if they saw their partner about to get shish-kabobbed by a giant scorpion, him included. He didn't take any action because Ciel had insisted that Weiss would, this action was necessary for the princess to grow on the inside.
Rimuru walks up to Ruby, "I understand that you weren't trying to show off, we all know that you can fight well." "So please, don't do anything rash alright?"
Ruby nods as Rimuru helps her up, Weiss approaches them both; "Look Ruby, I know I can be a bit...difficult sometimes." "But stop being so rash, and I will be...nicer."
Ruby nods with a smile, "Thank you for saving me Weiss."
Guy coughs to get their attention, "This is a sweet moment and all, but we need to get back to the cliff or take those things down."
Weiss adds herself in, "I don't think we need to fight those Grimm, our goal is to grab the relic and get back to the cliff."
This makes the more battle hungry members of the group sulk a little, but it couldn't be helped. Just because they couldn't be killed by grimm doesn't mean that the regular humans couldn't be. One little mistake on their part could result in one or more of them dying.
"She's right, we only need to get back to the cliff." "Risking our lives just to fight a pointless battle can get us killed." Ruby agrees with Weiss' suggestion.
"So run and stay alive, I can dig that strategy." Jaune also agrees, but Milim seems more disappointed.
"Aw, but I wanted to play with the scorpion.." Milim said looking back at the Death Stalker who is trying to get out of the ice.
Rimuru turns on thought communication; "Milim, I understand where you are coming from but those people are regular humans and are therefore delicate." "Even if we can't be killed, if we act impulsively it could cost them they're lives."
"Ok..." Milim reluctantly agrees, but her frown turns into a small smile when Rimuru pats her on the back.
Ruby and the teams that haven't got their relic's yet quickly grab them from the podiums, they regroup just in time for the ice that is holding the Death-Stalker's tail to start cracking. It was about time for them to get out of there, they start to head towards the direction of the cliff.
The huntsmen and huntresses-in training head up to another larger ruins, but they seem to be intercepted by the giant nevermore which perches on the top of the ruins and lets out a loud squawk.
"Well that's great!" Yang says sarcastically, the moment that sentence comes out of her mouth the Death Stalker appears from behind them out of the forest.
"Oh man run!" Jaune yelps in surprise, immediately Pyrrha turns around insisting Jaune keep running as she pulls out her rifle-sword-spear known as Milo as she starts blasting the grimm in the face with dust shells. Rimuru also returns fire with his own sword-gun that he bought during the previous nights shopping trip, he called it the 'Judan-Tatsumaki' or 'Bullet Tornado', it wasn't that strong compared to his other swords but it looked the less out of place amongst the hunters-in training. Of course these bullets didn't do much to the giant grimm, so he pulled out the magic that he picked to act as his semblance. Black flames surrounded his sword as he sliced at the grimm forcing it to back up, then he ran back to the bridge.
The moment they got on to the bridge however the Nevermore crashed into it, destroying most of the bridge. The people who were still fighting the Death Stalker seemed to be in a lot of trouble since they couldn't run away. But the Death Stalker was suddenly pushed back when Milim punched one of it's claws away, she then heard a loud 'bang' as Nora and Jaune come flying in from behind the soon to be teams. She slams her Grenade-Hammer on the Death Stalkers head and then dodges it's claw swipe by using the recoil from the blast of a grenade to launch herself out of the way, this unfortunately makes her slam into Blake who gets knocked off the cliff.
Blake quickly regains her cool after getting knocked off and uses Gambol's Shroud to hook on to part of the ruins allowing. She then uses her semblance to attack the Giant Nevermore who was just above her, she sliced it many times but it doesn't seem to do much damage.
She lands next to Yang; "It's tougher than it looks!"
Yang cocks her shotgun-gauntlets in response to this information, "Then let's hit it with everything we got!"
Rimuru then walks up from behind her along with Ramiris, Luminous, and Guy; "We'll assist you!"
The Giant Nevermore approaches once more, the soon to be teams starts launching their attacks at the Grimm.
Ruby unfolds her sniper into full scythe form, and starts shooting her '50 caliber at the Nevermore.
Weiss uses hard-light dust to launch lasers.
Blake folds Gambol's Shroud into pistol form.
Yang uses ranged explosive shells to try and land a fatal hit.
Rimuru combines his black flames with the gun form of his weapon.
Ramiris uses the dagger-wand she bought to throw 'Icicle Lance' at the giant bird.
Luminous pulls out a scythe that has a blade the shape of a bat-wing; she fires 'Blood Ray' at the nevermore.
Guy uses the gauntlets he bought to launch his demonic fire attacks.
The demon lords attacks are the ones that are most effective, even slowing it down a bit. But due to the fact they're holding back, it still crashes into the ruins at a decent speed. The two soon to be teams start climbing up the falling remains of the ruins, for Rimuru this was by far on the most chaotic days he's ever had.
While they had to limit their power, they could risk going over the limit and breaking the rule they set for themselves. They had to work together with the humans to take this grimm down.
"Nothing is working!" Weiss curses, seemingly matching Rimuru's line of thought.
Ruby though seems to be in thought, she and Rimuru notices Yang who is still trying to shoot the Nevermore down. She then runs over to Rimuru and Weiss, "I have a plan!"
She quickly explains the plan, It was such a strange plan though; "Are you serious Ruby?!" Rimuru says with wide eyes, it was down right insane.
"Yes, come on!" she says as she jumps off the ruins, not waiting for an answer from Rimuru or Weiss.
"Sheesh, that girl..." Rimuru says, Weiss nods in agreement.
"Yes, but it's the only option we have right now." "And I guess it's worth a shot!" she says moving to cover Ruby, Rimuru uses thought communication.
"Everyone, Ruby and I just came up with a plan." "I will send it over now!" Rimuru says to the demon lords and dragons.
The demons swing down to help the soon to be team JNPR, while the other demon lords come to help the other members of Octagram.
The soon to be Team JNPR manages to finally get the upper hand when Pyrrha lands a spear through right into the eye of the Death Stalker, it fails in agony which tosses Ren who was on it's tail into a wall.
"Ren!" Nora calls out in concern.
Jaune though notices the large stinger of the Death Stalker is over it's head.
"Pyrrha!"
"Done!" She quickly responds, Ultima notices the same and throws her dagger like a disk as both her dagger and akouo cut through tail which makes it fall on the grimm's skull. It wasn't enough to kill it though, so he decides to use a hammer and nail tactic using Nora's Maghild.
"Nora, nail it!"
Nora smiles deviously, she then calls for Pyrrha with a quick "Heads up!"
She then uses Pyrrha's shield as a launch pad, and uses a grenade to launch herself into the sky. She giggles as she falls to the ground. Meanwhile while the grimm is distracted, Ultima launches forward with her dagger; "Poisonous Bite!"
Simultaneously Nora and Ultima land their attack, immediately killing the Grimm. The cliff around them start to fall even more so they jump on to the part of the cliff that wasn't broken. Pyrrha, Ultima, Testarossa, and Carrera land gracefully, but Nora, and Jaune, land rather sloppily. Ren slowly walks up to the group before collapsing on the ground.
"Ara, looks like someone is tired." "Perhaps we should give him a blanket." Testarossa teases Ren, who is too tired to give a retort.
The demons and humans turn to look up at the demon lords and dragons who are trying to deal with the Nevermore. They finally get the upper hand when Veldora and Yang land an attack on the Nevermore's face. It squawks in pain, it then turns around trying to eat both Veldora and Yang. But Veldora and Yang leap at it, Yang lands in it's mouth and uses her arms to stop the beak from closing on her. And Veldora lands on top of it and puts his arms on the head of the grimm, he then uses black lightning to electrocute the grimm. The combination of Yang's shotgun shells in its mouth and the electrocution causes it to slam into a cliff side.
Yang and Veldora who have already left the grimm, watch as Weiss and Velzard swiftly approach the grimm. The Nevermore quickly tries to regain it's flight, but it is quickly pinned in place by Weiss and Velzard's ice. Weiss and Velzard quickly leave the grimm's position as Weiss heads back to the pillars to assist Ruby, and Velzard keeps an eye on the grimm.
Blake throws her Gambol's Shroud to Yang who ties it around the pillar making a large makeshift sling-shot. Ruby then launches herself on the ribbon as it's pulled back like a bow, Weiss then uses a gravity glyph to prepare the shot. Rimuru and Guy assist by lighting Ruby's Crescent Rose on fire.
"Of course you would come up with such a ridiculous strategy." Weiss scoffs in annoyance.
"Can you make the shot?" Ruby asks ignoring Weiss' comment.
"Hmph, can I?" she asks Sarcastically, but Ruby doesn't seem to get the sarcasm.
"Can you?"
"Of course I can!"
Ruby looks up at the grimm, she narrows her eyes. Weiss then combines her semblance with Ruby's turning it red, this launches Ruby at high-speed towards the Nevermore. Luminous launches her blood ray the grimm to assist, so does Ramiris using Spirit Magic to freeze the Nevermore's wings. Ruby slams her scythe into the Nevermore sending it into the cliff, Weiss then uses her glyphs to allow Ruby to stay on the cliff side without falling down.
Ruby then uses the recoil from Crescent Rose along with her semblance to drag the Nevermore up the cliff. Before Ruby reaches the top of the cliff, Milim sees her chance to pitch in.
"DRAGO...BUSTER!" She says firing a minimum output Drago-Buster.
Again simultaneously, Ruby decapitates the Nevermore and Milim's drago-buster destroys the rest of it's body.
Rimuru watches with an exasperated face, even at minimum output. A 'Drago-Buster' is still a 'Drago-Buster'.
The soon to be Team JNPR watches on in amazement, Jaune only utters one word.
"Wow."
The Demons were proud; "Splendidly done, Lord Rimuru!" Diablo says with a smile.
"As expected of my best friend!" Veldora says with a laugh, but Rimuru shakes his hands.
"I didn't do anything, It was Ruby who made the plan." "She deserves all the credit."
Even the soon to be Team RWBY was stunned, that girl Milim had a powerful semblance to be able to annihilate a part of a giant nevermore.
"Well, that was a thing!'" Yang says breathless.
"Well done, Ruby-chan." Guy says giving Ruby a fist bump.
-Beacon Auditorium-
Clapping is heard from an audience, as Ozpin is calling out names.

Rimuru look at Velzard, she gives a polite bow to Ozpin, but Veldora seems upset. He probably wanted to lead the team, but he's too immature for something like that.
Ozpin stares at the newly made teams, this was going to be an interesting year. Especially with those two teams, and that one sub team.
