I've gotten so many requests, I simply cannot take on any more, since I have to work hard to catch up with it all. I hope you understand, and I want you all to know that I appreciate you all so much for supporting me and my stories and just know that I take all the requests as huge compliments from you. So thank you so much for that. I sencerely appreciate it.

Now, without further ado, enjoy chapter 5.

Chapter 5.

The days following the graduation ceremony certainly were a little bit different from what Elsa was used to. The mornings started out as usual, with Kai waking her up, bringing her her morning tea. After finishing her tea she made herself ready for the day. But that's where the usual routines ended. As she left her room, You, her new personal guard, was there to escort her to wherever she needed to go. At first this was a little weird, but after a few days, she got used to it, and it all became a part of her daily routine to have you around. Elsa also started to make small conversations with you in between meetings or when she was not too busy with paperwork. She wanted to get to know you better since she figured you'd be spending quite amount of time together from now on.

"So, where are you from, (F/N)?" Elsa asked one night as you two were in one of the small living rooms, sitting by the fireplace.

"I grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of the kingdom." You explained.

"We were a family of simple farmers, and we didn't have much, but it was always my dream to serve the Royal family." You said calmly while looking at her.

Elsa couldn't help but smile. It was strange, but whenever you looked at her like that, she felt warm. Safe. She knew she could trust you, and you were still a stranger to her.

"Hey, (F/N)?" She asked.

"Yes?" you said.

"What about Elizabeth?" She asked, but you just smiled a bit.

A mysterious smile that made Elsa feel warm and fussy inside.

"I'm sorry Your Majesty, but if you want to get to know Elisabeth, you should ask her yourself."

Elsa nodded and you glanced down at your hand.

Elsa, having noticed that looking at your hand was something you did quite a lot when it was just the two of you, looked at you.

"Can I ask you something, (F/N)?"

You looked at her and nodded.

"Yes, of course, Your Majesty."

"What are you glancing at whenever we are alone?" She asked.

"Oh. Its...just this." You said and showed her your right hand.

On your ring finger was a silver ring with a wolf engraved into it.

Elsa gasped a bit at the sight of it.

"It's beautiful. Is it a family heirloom?" She asked.

You shook your head and smiled a bit sadly while looking at the ring.

"No, it's not that special. This ring is a...reminder." You said calmly.

That caught Elsa slightly of guard and it made her even more curious.

"A reminder of what?"

You sighed and put your black glove back on.

"With all due respect, Your Majesty, I'd rather not talk about it." you said calmly.

Elsa nodded and left it at that, understanding that it must be a sensitive topjc for you.

Soon after you both left the living room, and called it a night.

The next few days went by without anything incidents, but one morning, when Elsa had gotten ready for the day and opened her door, you were nowhere to be seen.

"That's odd…" Elsa mumbled to herself.

She got worried right away because ever since you became her bodyguard, you had always showed up on time and always waited outside her door without fail.

Elsa made her way to your room which was located right down the hall and knocked on your door.

"(F/N)? You awake?" She called out.

The door opened and Elsa could see immediately that something wasn't right. Your hair was a mess, your clothes dishevelled and you really didn't look too well.

"Yes. Sorry. Just...a slow start. I'll be ready in-" You could barely utter the words before your expression changed as pain shot through your body and you grabbed your left side of your chest.

That made Elsa even more worried.

«I'll go get help...» She said, but was stopped as you gently grabbed her hand.

"No...I'm alright...but...that half day off...I need it...today." You said, your voice, that usually was so calm, yet powerful, was now meek.

"(F/N), are you sure you don't need medical assistance?" She asked, getting increasingly worried.

"Yes, I'm sure, your majesty."

"Very well, I'll grant you a half day off today." She said and you nodded.

"Thank you, Your Majesty. Now please, give me just two minutes, and I'll be right with you." You said.

Elsa nodded and you closed the door to get ready. Two minutes later you came out of your room, looking a bit better, considering you looked like you had just come back form the dead, mere minutes ago.

"My apologies for the wait, Your Majesty. Now, let's get on with the day." You said.

"Very well, first things first, and that is breakfast." She said and you bowed slightly.

"Yes, of course your Majesty." You said before escorting the young queen to the castle dining hall.

The day went by as normal, and soon it was a little after noon, and Elsa had just finished her lunch. You looked at her.

"This is where I must leave you, your Majesty, but rest assured that I'll be back by your side tomorrow morning, and I promise you I'll be better."

Elsa nodded, and once again she got a worried look on her face.

"Very well, . Just...take care of yourself"

You smiled a bit.

"Are you that worried about me?"

Elsa blushed a bit and looked away

"N-no! I mean...I just need my personal guard in top condition, that's all!" she exclaimed, flustered.

That made you laugh...until pain suddenly shot through your body again, and you grabbed your heart, biting your tongue.

"...Sorry for that...thank you for your concern though...please excuse me." You said as you bowed, before you left.

After you had left, Elsa sighed.

"Why did I get so flustered..."

She shook her head and tried getting back to work without overthinking so much.

About twenty minutes later, someone knocked on her office door.

"Come in"

A staff member, a young man Elsa didn't recognize, walked in holding a tray with some tea.

"I thought you'd like something to help get you through all this paperwork, your majesty." He said as he bowed and smiled.

"Thank you but...who are you?" Elsa asked, a little confused.

"Eric your majesty. You hired me after the gates were reopened." He said as he poured her a cup of tea. It smelled delicious.

Elsa did hire new staff when the gates were opened again, so it made sense she didn't remember every new staff member yet.

"Forgive me then Eric, and thank you so much. That tea does sound and smells delicious." She said with a smile.

She took the cup and took a sip. Eric looked at the documents Elsa was going through

"Trade agreements?" he asked.

"Yes. Just going over what goods Arendelle can trade with our neighboring nations." Elsa said.

"I see. Anything from Weselton by chance?"

That caught Elsa a bit off guard.

"No...I stand firm by my decision to not trade with them anymore." She said.

"Hmmm. Pity." Eric said.

"I'm sorry, but why do...you...…" Elsa began.

Suddenly, her vision started to get blurry.

"What...what's..…" She stumbled as she stood up from her chair.

She knocked over her teacup as she fell off her chair and hit the floor.

Eric walked over, a small grin on his face, so different from what he looked like when he came into her study.

"That worked quicker then expected." He said nonchalantly.

Elsa struggled to look up at him

"Oh, don't worry, it's not poison. Just a sleeping drug." Eric said calmly.

Elsa started loosing consciousness.

"...why?" She managed to utter.

"...Weselton sends their regards." The tone in Eric's voice was ice cold.

That was the last thing Elsa heard before she closed her eyes as she blacked out.

Late that afternoon you were in your room, placing spare clothes on your bed

"Alright...now to just...meet up with Liz..…" You mumbled to yourself.

You grabbed your heart again.

"Come on...thinking I'd be used to this.…" You slightly grunted in pain.

Suddenly you were startled by someone banging furiously on your door.

"Hmm?."

You opened it, and were grabbed by Mattias.

"Why weren't you with her?! You're supposed to stay by her side!" He yelled and you could see and hear the utter panic in his eyes and voice.

"Captain?! What are you-" You were confused.

"The queen is missing (L/N)!" Mattias screamed.

That got your full attention and you forgot all about the pain in your heart and the reason you had taken half the day off vanished from your memory in an instant.

"¨She's what?!"

You broke free from Mattias and rushed to Elsa's office. You spotted Anna talking to a few other guards outside her office.

"You didn't see her leave the castle?!" Anna demanded to know.

"No your majesty!" The guard said.

"You searched the whole castle grounds?!"

"Yes and still nothing!"

Anna panicked a bit, then she saw you. She stormed over and looked like she was about to tell you off, but she got a good look at you and the state you were in.

"You...don't look so good…" she said.

You just moved past her and into Elsa's study.

"Hmmm...…" You took a look around the room.

Mattias came in right after you.

"She better be safe or so help me you will-" He began.

"Captain!" You bellowed.

Everyone looked at you.

"Have every guard posted around all entry points of the kingdom and castle! No one gets in or out!" You ordered.

"Wha...you don't order me-"

"NOW!" You yelled, cutting his protests short.

Everyone was stunned and looked at you like you were crazy. Mattias was lost for words. Anna looked at him.

"...do as he says." she ordered.

"I...uh...very well then...YOU better know what you're doing!" He said, looking at you firmly.

As Mattias and the other guards left, you, looked at Anna.

"Help Mattias spread the word to the guards, and question all the staff members. Someone must know something." You said.

Anna nodded slightly.

"...alright..."

Anna began to leave the office.

"I will find her." You said.

Anna stopped in her tracks and turned to look at you.

"I swear on my life." You said, your tone firm.

Anna just looked at you. She could see you were serious.

"...please...don't let me down."

She left the office and when you were left alone, you could take a closer look around the room.

"Ok..."

You closed your eyes and slowly inhaled through your nose. As you opened your eyes again your gaze landed at the fallen tea cup. You picked it up and held it up to your nose.

"...sleeping drug..…" You mumbled.

You thought hard. Nobody had seen Elsa leave her office, so that only meant one thing.

"...a secret path way.…" You said out loud to yourself.

You closed your eyes again and focused. Then, after a few seconds you could hear a faint wind.

"...fire place."

You went over to the fireplace in the corner of the office. You carefully examined the wall and, after gently pressing brick after brick, you could feel one slightly give way. You pushed it harder and slowly managed to push it into the wall. Suddenly, what looked a door, opened, revealing a hidden door in the fire place.

As you peaked inside, you could see a long and dark tunnel.

You had heard of these tunnels. They led underground and according to some legends, some of the tunnels went on for kilometers and kilometers.

"Whoever did this… He or they used this tunnel...…" You mumbled.

You looked back over your shoulder and out the window. Outside, the sun was setting.

"...I have about an hour at most.…" You said and you knew this was risky.

The pain shot through you again and you grabbed your heart.

"...I can do this..…" You said as you entered the tunnel.

You ventured into the darkness and soon you started running down the tunnel.

"Your Majesty…. Elsa…. I swear...I will save you!"
