Story Start!

"Okay family... starting next week, we're going to be trying to ramp up your levels as much as possible."

1 and a half years.

That was how long it was expected they would have until Ragnarok began and the war against the evil gods started in earnest. They had been together long enough that Naruto felt he was a somewhat clear understanding of the family order. He had been working on a plan for this very reason.

Ichika: Frontline Attacker
Futaba: Mid-Range Defense
Misa: Mid-Range Support
Shino: Backline Defense
Itsuyo: Mid-Range Attacker
Mutsumi: Frontline Support
Natsuki: Frontline Attacker
Yakumo: Mid-Range Support
Kurui: Backline Attacker

"As it stands, we have 4 people with offensive power, 3 supports, and 2 defensive forces. This is a pretty even layout, but right now only 2 of you can be transformed at a given time." Naruto showed a dry erase board and showed off the chibi drawings of each of the girls, with a drawing of Naruto behind them, and behind Naruto there was a drawing of a guy that most of them didn't know, but they were certain that would get explained later. "... We lack homefield advantage though."

"Uh... explain?" Natsuki asked with a raised hand.

"The city we're in isn't great for picking and chosing the areas we fight in. If Misa and Kururi are attacked when their out shopping, it won't be easy for the rest of us to go help them. The city layout isn't good for getting across the city fast." Naruto explained as he put up a map of the city. "Also, Shino can place a barrier across any spot in the city from home, but she has to know where the barrier needs to be placed."

Ichika seemed displeased by something, and it didn't go unnoticed by the others.

She wasn't one to bite her tongue often.

"Which is why we're going to be changing locations. Those who go to school will be transferring to Konoha academy, the High school I attended. Also, I've got connections to the teachers there." Naruto showed a map of the city where he went to school at. That got some excited looks, but this would mean they were going to have to move again into a different apartment.

"So, we should start packing?"

"I've already finished that." Futaba answered before Naruto could get to it. She had already packed everything away after they were done with their Val Love, since she was among the 4 people who were informed of the plan ahead of time. Naruto, Ichika, herself, and Shino were the only ones who had been given the plan details ahead of time. "Konoha academy is one of the best schools in the nation, so you girls will need to keep your grades up."

"Wait, then how did Naruto attend that school, he's kind of dumb." Yakumo stated as she pointed a finger of blame at Naruto.

"I'll have you know that I among the top of my grade, and any school I applied to accepted me without fail. I used to raise a lot of hell going from school to school, and to do that, you needed good grades... back to the point. At this school, it will be easier for me to do Val Loves with girls during class." Naruto stated, since that was important. The ability to have instant access to the girls when he needed it, without any of the other teachers raising any alarms or causing drama over it. "I will be transferring and becoming a Gym Teacher there too, lets just say the old lady who runs the school owes me a couple of favors." Naruto rubbed his nose with some pride.

"Why?"

"Because, I'm blackmailing her. She gambled away private school funds, and my godfather foot the bill to keep her from getting caugh. She helps us-"

"No, why are you going to be a teacher... if you have access to the school anyway, you don't really need to be a teacher, right?" Natsuki was leaning back and forth as she questioned that part. It sounded like Naruto wouldn't even need to be a teacher if that was the case. Naruto took out a piece of reciept paper and stuck it to the board.

It was long.

Naruto looked over it.

"Lets see, food costs for 10 people and a dog, water bills, electicity bills, and lets not forget about clothes, feminine care products, and hygeine products. My teacher paychecks help out, but I've been calling in favors constantly to get us groceries at a cheaper price... and I'm almost out of favors." Naruto deadpanned as more than a few of the sisters looked at the numbers on the reciept.

The air was cold, and tense.

"We... cost that much."

"I'm happy to pay it though, but at Konoha academy, I can get a bigger paycheck. It won't be enough to cover the bills completely, but I'm calling in a favor with an old friend of mine. His family was murdered a few years back, and I helped him out. So, as a thanks, he's renting out his old family house to us for cheap."

"Woah, woah now... murdered family, old friend... renting us his house for cheap. There is a long story behind this, and I want to know more!" Misa was super interested in hearing the story behind this friend that Naruto had with the murdered family, and how come he was willing to rent out the house to Naruto for a good price. It sounded like there was a ton of drama there, and she was so into it.

"I was offered a model job."

"You girls don't have to get jobs if you don't want them, it's my job to support you all... well, it will get a bit easier. Because Shino will actually be staying with..." Naruto didn't want to rain on Mutsumi's parade on getting the modeling job offer, but he needed to cover something important. Naruto placed his hand on Shino's shoulder as she stepped forward. "There is a good chance that Shino might be changing lovers, and if she does, she's going to go live with him. The big reason why it's important for us to go to a city like this, is because Shino's barriers can be deployed long range. While the rest of us are decoys, Shino can hide away with her lover and provide long range barrier support." Naruto wanted to make himself and his battle lovers decoys, while Shino raised her level as much as possible.

Her barriers prevented innocent lives from being lost in battle, and if she changed lovers, she would be with a guy she loved, and with only a single lover, Shino would level up much faster than she would as a group lover. One on One was better than Nine on One, and with Naruto only having Eight lovers instead of Nine, he would be able to direct his focus better and focus on leveling up his lovers.

"You're changing lovers!? Why, Onii-chan is awesome!" Kururi hugged Naruto's leg and pleaded with Shino.

"... I just don't love him... I'm thankful he's trying hard to earn my love, but I just... I just can't make myself feel the same way for him that I do for..." Shino didn't say his name, but Naruto's hand on her shoulder showed that he felt no hard feelings for her choice. It was her decision to switch lovers.

There was a tense silence, and nobody wanted to break it.

"It will be okay, Shino can always come back whenever she wants. Ichika will also check up on whenever she can. If she can level up faster, with her long range barriers and a detailed map, we can turn the battlefield into our homefield advantage." Naruto wanted to get the conversation moving again. Shino had his full support, and his support was enough for everyone else.

Naruto had no hard feelings, but Ichika was upset with Shino for the choice, and there were others who weren't satisfied by the answers given. Most of them felt betrayed by Shino leaving their chosen lover. He could feel it.

"It was my idea. I noticed Shino's level was barely increasing at all with me. If Shino can't level up, then it would just be dangerous for her to be my lover. I don't want Shino to die unhappy, because she wasn't strong enough to defend herself." Naruto was nudged by Ichika, more than once. She wasn't happy with the idea, even if she agreed it was the right thing to do. Still, the lover change being his idea caused the tension to get eased up.

It felt less like betrayal if it was his idea.

"Also, S-chan will be going with Shino to keep her safe." Naruto stated as he picked up the little dog that was with them by the scruff of her neck. Naruto placed the dog on top of Shino's helmet, and she gave a goofy bark. Naruto felt that the dog was somewhat powerful... maybe, so it was best if she stayed with Shino to provide some kind of support. "Your father is sending a message to Shino's future lover... and if he refuses, I'll kick his ass."

"Pffffft."

"What? Any man that doesn't step up when the world is in danger needs to get his ass kicked." Naruto deadpaned when Ichika laughed. His defense of his statement caused the laughter to spread among some of the others girls. He still had Kururi holding onto his leg though, eyes locked on Shino with that same sense of betrayal. Naruto rubbed the top of her head to comfort her, but there wasn't much else that could be done.

She was in love with somebody else before she even met him, and it would be wrong of him to stand in the way of that.

"Okay, so what other favors are you calling in?" Yakumo had to know.

She just had to.

"Long story short, I called in a favor with the chief of police, and if any of us get arrested for indecent exposure, he's agreed to sweep it under the rug. So, if a Val Love goes weird, we won't have to worry about getting charged... just the shame of getting caught." Naruto deadpanned.

"Why do you know the chief of police?"

"That is NOT important... it's a really long story, and I really don't want to explain it. Keeping it short and vague, he used to murder a LOT of people. I helped him turn over a new leaf... don't worry about it too much, he's a good guy now."

"How many people is a lot?" Misa didn't want to meet this guy in person.

"Moving on, I've got everything arranged. We're good to go. Also, you guys will be fine, but I might get attacked by assassins sometimes. Don't worry about it, I've got it handled. It used to happen all the time when I went to Konoha academy. These people just really want me dead, but they aren't very good at killing me." Naruto said that super fast, fast enough that some of the girls didn't catch what he said.

Those that caught it stared at him.

"What kind of life did you lead before meeting us?" Itsuyo asked with concern for his safety.

"Moving on. Any questions, unrelated to the assassins, the murderers, and Shino's lover... none, good. Lets all get ready everyone, the moving van will get here in a few hours." Naruto clapped his hands loudly to break up the meeting.

"I feel like we shouldn't ignore the assassin part."

"I don't want to go into detail about that part, because it isn't a fun story for me to tell."

Naruto was done answering questions on that subject.
