A/N: If you can't see chapter(s). Its mostly on Fanfiction's end. I have quickly discovered the app is not ran very well and there's very little I can do. Which is unfornate because I really do what people that follow my stories to experience it properly. For those having trouble, you'll have to wait for the site to correct itself.
"I wasn't expecting this development, I was wanting to get Natsu's head but if Titania offer her head up as well. I have to get serious."
Aria removed the bandages around his eyes. Elfman felt an enormous magic power come from Aria. Elfman realized that the S-Class wizard had been merely playing with him during his entire fight. Aria grew a twisted smile.
"Come and get it Erza!!" Aria responded with enthusiasm.
His hands formed a loose shape of a circle.
"I will now cast Open Air Death, Zero. This Air will suck up all life." Aria said.
Aria started the spell and Elfman would feel its effects. His teeth gritted in pain because of his body slowly getting weaker over time. Erza's hair covered her eyes.
"Magic that sucks life, you say?"
Erza showed her face. Her eyes showed a raging inferno of anger that shined brightly. She roared as loudly as possible to express her distaste at Aria's statement.
"What makes it so easy for you cretins to steal people's lives!?"
"Now the fun begins!" Aria spoke.
Erza summoned one of her swords as she charged at Aria. The man still had a smile on his face as he aimed both hands at Erza.
"Let's see if you can withstand this kind of Open Air Magic."
Aria fired off blasts of wind at Erza.
"Erza!!!" Elfman yelled.
Erza didn't even have to try as she swinged her sword with such intensity that she created her own source of wind. The source of wind provided by Erza would allow her wind to 'cut' apart Aria's wind. Aria saw this as his smile faded while his eyes widen in shock.
"How is this possible!? She's cutting through the very air itself!"
Erza got closer as she began to requip into her Heaven's Wheel Armor. Aria lost his composure all together at seeing her triumph over his wind with ease.
"Wait!" Aria shouted in panic.
Erza would not wait, she summoned another sword as she closed the remaining distance between them.
"Wheel of Heaven: Scattered Petals!" Erza yelled.
Erza delivered two slashes to Aria and had appeared behind him. However, that would not end her attack because Aria would be bombarded with numerous swords. The attack ended and that's when Aria hit the ground. Erza turn her head to level a murderous glare on Aria.
"The Master should have never been taken down by the likes of you! Erase your name from history this instant!" Erza yelled at the down Aria.
Aria stayed unconscious on the ground.
Master Jose watch from his command as all of the Element 4 had either been defeated or surrendered to Fairy Tail. The man became furious at his subordinates.
"All of you are a weak and sorry bunch!" Jose yelled throughout the intercom.
The Phantom Lord members within the room stiffened in fear as their Master turned to face them. The rage infused look he was giving them had made them move out of his way.
"Me? Having to come out to fight some mere fairies!? Ridiculous! I shall eliminate the intruders myself! I will eradicate them all!" Master Jose shouted.
Jose left the command room as he made his way to the Foyer Aria was located in.
Meanwhile outside the Guild Hall.
The shades seemed to have fought with more vigor as they broke through the Fairy Tail's defensive line.
"What the hell!? These guys suddenly became stronger!" Wakaba shouted.
Lucy watching her guild members have trouble against the shade is what caused her to break out of the destroyed Guild Hall.
"Lucy!!!" Mirajane shouted.
Lucy ignored Mirajane as she whipped out one of keys.
"Open Golden Bovine Gate: Taurus!" Lucy shouted.
Everyone saw Lucy joining the fray as she had summoned Taurus from the spirit world. The humanoid being came out by flexing his muscles.
"What can I do for you Lucy!?" Taurus energetically asked.
The spirit seemed more lively than usual but Lucy didn't notice it considering the situation.
"Take out those shades! We have to help buy Natsu time!" Lucy yelled.
"Right away!" Taurus happily obliged without question.
Taurus cut down a group of shade without any difficulty as the shades disappeared from the front. It took longer for the shades to reform but with Lucy coming in to help her guild. It put her in the line of attack. She dodged a shade that had swiped at her. Lucy pulled out her whip before whipping the shade. The first strike did little to deter the being but when Lucy striked it a second time. The shade disappeared. Lucy got a preview of the full battlefield after defeating the entity. Everyone was separated as it became an all out brawl but that wasn't good because the shade's could now flank the Fairy Tail members. Lucy saw a member go down after a shade went right through him. She needed to get things under control if they were to somehow survive the onslaught.
"Gather around me!" Lucy shouted.
Lucy would make a second defensive line closer to the guild. The cohesion was restored as people were able to fight the shade forces as a unit instead of separately. This protect their forces from pick offs.
Back inside the building.
Gray rush to the Foyer to see Elfman along with Erza.
"Erza shouldn't you be resting, you took a nasty hit and you're bleeding." Gray spoke.
The pair face Gray. Erza may have looked like she had taken a thrashing but Erza acted like she had not recieved one.
"I'm alright, Gray. I'm doing significantly better after getting some rest." Erza said.
In reality, Erza felt like shit but she couldn't show them such weakness. She had to remain strong for the guild, for her friends. They were counting on her and she couldn't let them down.
"It looks like we just have to wait for Natsu and Ur before making our move on Mastsr Jose." Elfman stated.
Unfortunately for them, Master Jose would not wait for them to enact a plan. Instead, he came to them. This was indicated by them feeling a sinister sensation that made the hair on their necks stands up as chills ran throughout their spines.
"What is this horrible feeling?" Gray asked.
"It's so strong that even real men can feel such cold shivers." Elfman reinforced Gray's opinion.
"This magic is pure evil, I haven't sense such evil in all my time as a S-Class Mage. This must be the magic of Master Jose."
Erza would be proven correct as Master Jose made his way down the stairs. Now that Jose was directly in the room. The effects of his magical power would only become worse. Gray and Elfman grew goosebumps all over their bodies. Erza herself had to suppress a shudder. This was Master Jose and the three of them would have to face this man. His presence alone was a task to overcome.
'It's so suffocating.' Erza thought.
Master Jose reach the bottom of the stairs. He began clapping while smiling wickedly at them.
"Ah yes well done my lovelies." Jose mockingly stated.
He let loose a burst of magic energy that caused Gray and Elfman to waver while Erza steeled herself. Yet, the two men seeing Erza stand tall had inspired them to stand their ground.
"I do have to properly thank you for making this so much fun. As a result, I must show you something appropriate for the entertainment you have given me. Something Apropos." Jose stated.
Erza knew it was an attack by the way Jose hand moved and she saw dark energy surround said hand.
"Quick! Dodge it!" Erza yelled.
Erza dodged the attack but that didn't mean her two guildmates were quick enough to do the same. Jose raised his hand and three dark lightning bolts would shoot out of his hand. Erza narrowly avoid it but her two guildmates took the hit. Erza landed as she turn her head to see Gray and Elfman would be caught by the spell.
"What is this!?" Gray shouted in pain.
"Damn it...!" Elfman was forced to admit said pain.
Jose followed off by swiping his hand from left to right. The pair would be consumed by a wave of dark magic. Erza couldn't bare to see her comrades being hurt anymore and summoned a sword into her hand. Erza rush towards Jose. She reach him as she tried slashing him in two. Erza failed because of Jose dodging the attack with relative ease. Erza was about to go past him if it wasn't for him grabbing a hold of her leg. Jose knew she could counter and threw her away from him. Erza flew back but landed on her feet. The female quickly changing into a black color theme armor to see if the armor's passive would make her fast enough to hit Jose. Essentially, this black color armor would increase her offensive capabilities. One such thing would be speed. However, she couldn't attack because Jose faced her with a face full of geninue surprise.
"You took the full force of Jupiter's attack, how are you still standing?" Jose asked.
Erza readied a new sword as she prepared to fight against Jose.
"I have a friend in need and she's counting on me, I'm not going to let her down. I told you didn't I? I'd die first than hand her over to the likes of you." Erza said.
Master Jose eyes seem to shrink in on themselves as he let a round of insanity consume him.
"Such beauty, such strength, and such convicition! It's a shame I'd have to kill you!" Jose yelled at her.
Erza hoped she could buy enough time for Natsu.
Gajeel winced in pain as Natsu used his own fist to block Gajeel's fist. Gajeel jumped back while Natsu let him.
'Damn.' Gajeel thought.
"What's wrong Black Steel, afraid of a real challenge?" Natsu asked.
"Shut it, you just got lucky." Gajeel said.
Natsu smirked as he rush Gajeel.
"Iron Fist of The Light Dragon." Natsu said.
Natsu ignited his fist in light as he brought it towards Gajeel. The Iron Dragon Slayer's eyes widen at the attack. Gajeel narrowly avoided the initial hit by ducking but Natsu brought down the outstretched fist. Normally, it would be unwise to just chase after a opponent in such a way. It would leave you open to a counter but Natsu had moved faster to slam the bottom of his fist into Gajeel's face. Gajeel felt the initial punch which didn't hurt because of the improper form. However, he found out why Natsu continued his attack because of the blast being sent into his face. Gajeel slammed into the stone ground and bounced off it like bouncing ball. That's when Natsu kicked him as Gajeel traveled through the air. He rolled on the ground and would only stop because of the wall that was located within the room. Gajeel got to his feet. He charged at Natsu.
"Don't go all thinking you're all big and mighty!" Gajeel told Natsu.
Natsu dodged a iron pole sent for his mid section. Gajeel made the iron pole return to his hand. This prevented Natsu from grabbing a hold of it. Gajeel closed the distance before attacking once again.
"Iron Dragon Slayer, Iron Great Sword!"
Natsu dodged it before having to do so again because Gajeel seemed fairly agile with the weapon despite the size of the sword. Gajeel saw Natsu coming down and while he couldn't hit Natsu with his sword due to his position. Gajeel could kick Natsu and that's what he did as Gajeel kicked the man in the ribs. Natsu flew back but he didn't seemed fazed by said attack. Natsu landed on his feet while Gajeel closed in on Natsu once again. However this time, Gajeel covered his body in iron scales. Gajeel threw a punch at Natsu but Natsu avoided said attack. Natsu tried striking Gajeel but even with his fist making contact with Gajeel's iron jaw. Gajeel was only grinning madly at Natsu. His punch has no effect.
"What's wrong lamp? Not enough power?"
Natsu would be slammed with a punch. Natsu understood in that moment that the scales not only help to protect Gajeel. They also acted as a offensive weapon. Natsu grew a grin. It seemed like Gajeel was getting serious. Natsu would have to respond in kind. Natsu slammed his foot into the ground with Gajeel eyes widening at Natsu being able to recover so quickly. Natsu delivered a punch to Gajeel's stomach. Gajeel didn't feel a thing as he smashed his fist into Natsu's face. The blow sent Natsu staggering back a few steps. Natsu did eventually recover while Gajeel was now grinning ear to ear at his opponent. In the meantime, Natsu bangs covered his eyes.
"There's no way you're getting through my scales. My Dragon is stronger than yours." Gajeel boasted with pride.
Gajeel would be confused as to why Natsu began to grin. It should have been obvious with how he tanked hits from the light dragon slayer and pushed him back on two seperate occasions. That this was now Gajeel's fight. Gajeel heard something cracking and he didn't need to look to feel that the scales covering his stomach area would be the ones cracking. Gajeel eyes morphed into surprise as he looked at Natsu. That's when he saw Natsu releasing his magic, that's when he could feel the amount of Dragon Slayer Magic coming from Natsu.
"What...what is this...?" Gajeel said.
He never felt so much of it in his life. Gajeel would his chest send out a wave of pain to his entire body. Gajeel looked to his chest. He never felt this happen to him and it gave out a another wave of pain. Gajeel looked back at Natsu. He saw scales growing all over Natsu's body. Finally, Natsu lifted his head as Gajeel saw excitement in the male's eyes.
"Your not the only one who can grow scales black steel. Now, show me just how much you have improved since seven years ago." Natsu stated.
Gajeel felt like someone was telling him to run, at least thats the feeling coming from his chest. Yet, there was something else. This is what he wanted an actual challenge. Hence, Gajeel shoved the feeling to the back of his mind. He felt exhilaration at seeing someone not fold over when he got serious.
"I don't know what your saying but I'm going to be the one on top!" Gajeel stated.
Gajeel aimed at Natsu with his fist reared back.
"Iron Dragon Lance: Demon Logs!" Gajeel shouted.
"Light Dragon Creation: Divine Swords."
Gajeel rapidly thrusts his arm forward as he summoned a magic circle. That's when the magic circle made multiple iron spears covered in a layer of dark magic that would fire at Natsu. At the same time, Natsu summoned multiple swords made out of light. Natsu sent those very same swords at Gajeel's spears. A smokescreen occurred as both spells collided with one another. Yet, the outcome would be revealed as Gajeel saw all of Natsu's swords of light come right at him. Natsu's spell had beaten Gajeel's spell and now the swords homed in on Gajeel. Gajeel's eyes would shrink before he would be forced to take the full force of the attack. A massive explosion occurred that filled the entire room but Natsu wasn't even affected because it was his own magic. The explosion of light died down to reveal Gajeel with his scales completely shattered as he was now scaleless. Gajeel had blood coming from his head. Yet, he was still standing on his feet.
'You can't be serious...' Gajeel thought with shock.
In one attack, his entire defenses were brought down and he still took damage. Gajeel hadn't faced someone this powerful before and when Natsu took a step forward. He took a step back without any conscious consent. His instincts taking over and telling him to run.
'There's no way I'm scared of some Fairy Trash!' Gajeel thought.
Gejeel in a act of defiance rush Natsu.
"Iron Dragon's Hard Fist!" Gajeel shouted.
Gajeel turned his whole hand back into iron scales as he tried delivering the punch. Natsu quickly gathered light into his hand as he dodged the punch. Gajeel looked to his right but he was met with a sphere of light so bright that it blinded him. His eyes were in pain as he closed them while also trying to cover them with his hands. Yet, he still could see the light.
"Siphon of The Light Dragon." Natsu spoke.
Gajeel felt his body ignite with so much pain that he was struggling to stay conscious.
'There's no way I can lose against Fairy Trash!' Gajeel thought.
Yet, that would be the outcome as the storm of light lasted for so long that it knocked him unconscious. The spell eventually died down with Gajeel crashing into the ground. Natsu seeing Gajeel defeated had commented on the battle.
"As if I would lose to some half baked scales. You are no where close to defeating Acnologia." Natsu stated to the unconscious Gajeel.
Natsu dusted his hands off as he canceled his magic but the scales on his body remained all the same.
'It's time to regroup with everyone and help them especially if Master Jose is with the group.' Natsu thought.
