The turtle school/21st works tournament arc will just be this chapter but it'll be longer to make up for that.
Also at least in Krillin and Goku's case they'll be stronger than it Canon with Diana being around and another change will be for Krillin but you'll have to read to find that out.
Age 749 (Kame House Diana's POV.)
Ever since the battle at Pilaf's castle things had been interesting to say the least.
For one Bulma and Yamcha had started dating though she was surprised that Yamcha would even talk let alone ask her out.
Afterwards Goku had insisted to her that they try train under Master Roshi and while she wasn't a fan of his... tendencies she couldn't deny he knew what he was doing despite how bizarre it all was like milk deliveries? swimming through shark infested waters? Ploughing through a farmers field with their bare hands? Not traditional martial art or strength trading but the results showed.
Then there was Krillin a small bald man with 6 dots on his head who was supposedly a Monk though his ownership of porn magazines said otherwise she honestly didn't know how to feel about him he was a bit weird at times but ultimately meant well and finally there was Launch she was something else.
They had found her after Roshi had gatekept them from training if they couldn't bring him a beautiful girl (Much to her annoyance.) But she couldn't deny that learning to shoot ki attacks was a deal she couldn't pass up they'd found her robbing a bank as a blonde girl with a awful personality but when she sneezed she would turn into a kind girl with blue hair and ever since everyday after their brutal training regimen they'd come home to an excellent cooked meal.
"Uh Diana hello?" Goku said distracting her from thought.
"Oh hi what are we supposed to be doing right now?" Diana asked sheepishly.
"First we're going to run 10km with the turtle shells on our back then we're going to practice out ki control!"
Krillin then ran to join them "So guys who's excited to learn the Kamehameha?"
"I already know that move." Goku replied.
"Oh right well what about you Diana?"
Dina frowned thoughtfully "Eh I think I can make my own move!"
"Good idea!" Krillin replied.
"That's assuming you can pull of Ki based attacks right away Goku here is a prodigy child to learn that quick. Master Roshi cut in "It can take months even years to even learn how to suppress energy though under my watchful eye you will progress far quicker than that."
Diana and Krillin nodded determined to learn and pickup as fast as possible.
"Alright now you lot get going I'm going to... Rest for a while." Roshi said.
They all nodded before running off the turtle shells on their backs making the run much harder.
"Heh these lot really do have potential should be much easier than training regular humans from scratch." Roshi mused as he saw them already several hundred meters in the distance.
(Later.)
"Alright now your ready to learn the basics of ki control!" Roshi said much to the excitement of the trio.
"So how to I shoot those lasers out my hands?" Krillin asked.
"Patience! Now Goku here may have learned the Kamehameha easily but he can't control its power or movement so we need to go back to the basics.
"Starting with?" Diana asked.
"Meditation!"
"Meditation? That sounds boring!" Goku said.
"Yeah what's sitting with your eyes closed going to do?" Krillin added skeptically.
"To use ki you must .earn about your own ki remember this is your life force we're talking a out one wrong move and you'll die!" Roshi replied scaring the children a bit.
"So inner reflection is key to unlocking Ki!" Diana and Krillin rolled their eyes at his bad pun much to the hermits embarrassment.
"First you must rid yourself of all thoughts leave inner mind as a blank slate and then begin to concentrate on manifesting your ki imagine it into existence your ki responds to desire you just have to reign it under you control."
The trio closed their eyes and began to meditate each young warrior forcing their minds blank but their results varied.
Goku was able to summon his ki quite easily but it was out of control and blew a crater where he was sitting.
Krillin summoned far less and struggled but kept it under control.
But Diana much to her own frustration failed to summon any at all.
"Now now don't be discouraged it'll be easier the second time!" Roshi said
But while Goku and Krillin had a much easier time after 5 attempts Diana had struggled to summon the same level as Krilln's first attempt but as he observed and sensed her ki he noticed something.
"She can't tap into her full power can she?" Roshi mused to himself as he looked at the gold bracelets around each of Diana's arms and now that he though about it even when she wore casual clothes they stayed on now he was no expert on her culture but perhaps they forced her power to stay suppressed? If so what monstrous power did she have hidden away now the hermit was curious did she even know of the limitation? Regardless he was interested to see what they entailed for the future.
(Dinner.)
The trio's mouths watered as they gazed upon the mountains of food along the massive table.
Mounds of chicken stir fry were filled with the perfect amount of soy sauce whilst chicken schnitzel sat on many individual plates cooked to a perfect golden brown an assortment of different meats including pork and beef were lined up with sides of vegetables and they even had spaghetti and pizza all ready for consumption even now no one had any idea how Launch could make so much food in a day.
But regardless after a tough day of training the three ravenous children were ready to eat.
"Goku your getting food everywhere!" Nice Launch scolded as he the young Saiyan devoured the piles of food within record time.
"Oh uh sorry." Goku said with his mouth full as he continued to chow down hungrily.
"You'd think you were starved for a week the way you eat." Diana commented as she ate her food at far slower pace.
"Ok I better up my own pace before he eats all the food!" Krillin joked as he finished a mouthful of a succulent pork chop.
"This cooking even rivals that of my sisters!" Diana proclaimed as she bit the part of a the meat off from a roast chicken drumstick.
"You say that every night!" Goku replied as he devoured an entire bowl of fried rice in a single gulp.
And within minutes the table was cleared of any traces of dinner ever being made every crumb gone from their plates they'd truly not wasted a scrap mostly due to the Saiyan's antics but now they were as full as stuffed pigs (That's totally not the food talking the scene wasn't even that good and it made me feel hungry lol.)
Krillin sighed contently "Man I feel like a bear going into hibernation because of how full I am." As he clutched his stomach.
"I'm going to get fat at the rate I've been eating every night." Diana added whilst also holding her stomach in slight pain.
Goku sighed unhappily "Man wish there was more food."
"How are you still hungry?" Krillin asked.
"Yeah we trained hard today and all but we still ate several times more than what adults intake a day." Diana said.
"Well its always been a thing even when I was five I ate about half of what I just ate everyday! Its like torture not being able to eat more."
"With how you train and what you eat I'm surprised you don't have the physique of a God at ten!" Krillin replied.
Goku frowned as his stomach grumbled again.
"Damn you were serious huh?" Diana said almost impressed.
"I'm going to go hunt for something." Goku said before running outside.
"Hunt what? A fish that's about all we can get around here." Krillin said.
Diana shrugged "Beats me probably going to end up at the fridge and eat something raw knowing him."
The two of them then walked outside to see Goku walking back to shore hoisting a large shark by its tail still thrashing around on to the beach.
"How did he do that so fast?" Krillin said surprised.
"Shark meat doesn't sound that appetizing to be honest but whatever works for him I guess." Diana commented.
"Any of you got some wood so I can start a fire?" Goku asked as he began to skin the now dead beast with a knife he pulled from seemingly no where.
"Goku your really going to eat the whole shark?" Diana asked.
"If you want some you can when I finish my portion!" Goku said standing protectively in front of his catch.
"I'm surprised you know how to cook." Krillin said as he watched the Saiyan slice it up.
"I think he's an expert when it comes to food related... Everything." Diana replied.
They then watched in slight awe as the Saiyan finished cooking the meal before devouring every part of the shark.
"You sure there was nothing nasty in that thing?" Krillin asked concerned.
"Didn't taste weird its got to be fine!" Goku replied.
Diana sighed as the Saiyan cleaned up any mess he made before they all headed off to their respective beds to rest the night away to be prepared for tomorrow.
Months went by each slightly similar in routinely structure but different in the fundamentals and while they learned new moves daily they all still had a familiar pattern.
Breakfast Physical exercise Ki training Lunch studying (Roshi insists on a decent education.) Sparring and dinner they'd usually do things such as clean themselves before and after training was done for the day and each day of strenuous hard work would always need with one quote Master Roshi instilled in his pupils daily.
"Work hard study well and eat and sleep plenty, That is the turtle hermit way!" Were worlds pretty much drilled into their heads by now but living by the principles of said words would surely lead the trio to greatness.
(A week before 21st world tournament.)
"Alright you three this will be the final test of the skills and strength you have gathered from both your lessons and each other." Roshi said gaining the trios curiosity.
"What kind of test?" Krillin asked.
'If its about math and all of that I swear!' Goku thought with a frown on his face.
Diana stood to attention upon hearing of a test.
"Simple you three must work together to gather a plant for me known as Paradise Herb a plant that grants eternal life now normally you'd find said plant in the forest of terror but I have a patch growing on an island next to it due to the difficulty of getting the herb every time and considering you guys are novices it'll be tedious to go to the forest regardless."
Diana frowned in disappointment "All of us just to gather a plant? The forest of terror sounds like a far greater test."
"Yeah Goku could just fly there on Nimbus and be done with it." Krilliin added.
"That's where you'd be mistaken you see due to the plants rarity and its properties a monster is more than likely using the plants and would probably guard them with its life the island was populated after all."
"Well come on let's go!" Goku cheered excitedly.
"How about a map?" Diana asked.
"Don't worry I've got one to get to the location." Roshi replied giving them an old map "Now take so food and be off! There's only a week left after all."
(3 Days later after searching.)
"Finally found the island! This map is awfully inaccurate!" Krillin stated as they touched down on the islands beach.
Diana sighed "We passed it 3 times in total."
"Who cares about that? Where's this plant at?" Goku said as he ran off towards the nearest cave.
"Lets catch up before he gets him self killed." Diana said exasperated.
Krillin and Diana the. followed in the Saiyan's steps as the reached the entrance to a massive cave.
"Damn this baby goes deep." Krillin said as he stared into an almost inky black darkness inside the cave.
"Yeah let's be cautious." Diana said warningly as they all slowed down to a walking pace as the land beneath them sloped downhill.
They continued through the darkness until they reached a opening where a singular green plant with the shape of the tree emitting light as well as reflecting kt like a prison giving it rainbow coloring.
"That's the description alright now let's get this thing and dip before whatever lives here comes back." Krillin said gesturing to a large nest made of soft plants in a stone carving with three large eggs laying neatly inside between them and the plant.
They then heard a loud snort coming from behind them as they turned around to be face to face with a really angry mother wyvern.
The dragon had a mixture of dark and light green scales with purple spots dotting its wings as it stood on its two legs each adorned with three long talons and spikes going all down its spine with a sharp ended tail and standing at around 10 meters in length (32.8 feet.).
"Dodge!" Krillin yelled as the beast fired an explosive fire ball at the floor near them clearly carful to not harm its eggs.
"Have you ever seen these thing Diana? Your the creature expert!" Goku yelled as he ducked under a tail stab.
"Can't say I have! Wyverns don't exist in our mythology!" Diana yelled as she blocked a claw strike from the beast with her shield.
Goku drew his power pole from his side before extending it to land strikes on the monster but only causing a dull thud.
Krillin hit the beast with a few Ki blasts towards its head barley causing minor burns but blinding it leading to Diana coming in with her sword slashing at its under belly and doing a bit of damage.
The Wyvern roared in anger using as she thrashed around knocking Diana away before firing a careful fireball at Krillin who dodged just in time.
"I think she's holding back because of her eggs being present." Diana said wearily as she noticed its care to avoid harming the eggs.
"We better finish this fight before it goes all out then!" Krillin yelled as he the Wyvern made her way towards Krillin but Goku covered him with a large Ki blast distracting the creature.
The Wyvern shook herself releasing a poisonous gas that seeped around the cave before igniting said air with its flames causing an explosion.
"We need to knock it out or just take the plant and leave this thing has poison attacks!" Krillin stated as a swift tail swipe slammed him into a wall.
"I'll try get it!" Goku replied as he ran towards the plant using the power pole to vault himself around the room
The wyvern roared as it took to the air before swiping at them with its talons with precise strikes slamming Goku into a wall and leaving a gash across his body.
"Hey Diana your the fastest out of us right?" Krillin asked in which she nodded in confirmation as she blocked a tail smack.
"Run near the eggs and drive its attention on you while we steal the plant I have feeling it cares more about than the plant." Krillin finished.
Diana nodded before running towards the eggs and scaring the mother wyvern a bit as it made a panicked roar as she rushed towards the Princess.
Goku then ran to the plant and plucked it before running back past Krillin who stayed towards the tunnel slope leading back to the surface.
"Diana get out of here now I'll make a smoke screen with my Ki blasts!" Krillin yelled as Diana rolled out of a poison cloud and ran out the tunnel as well.
"Take this!" Krillin snarled as he slammed a ball of Ki into the cavern floor causing debris and smoke to fly up blinding the wyvern as the young bald warrior ran in pursuit of his friends as the Wyvern roared in anger at their lucky escape.
"Damn nice thinking Krillin!" Goku cheered as he held up the Paradise Herb triumphantly.
"Yeah now let's get back and prepare for the tournament!" Diana added as they rode on Nimbus back to Roshi's island.
(Metropolis.)
Clark now widely known as Super Boy had been at the job of crime fighting for over a year and it had been quite the fun time.
The Kryptonian child currently protected the likes of Smallville and Metropolis from mainly a few thugs that hadn't been any traditional 'Super Villain,' As people called them but he didn't particularly mind.
However all this power came with one cost loneliness now he didn't mind not having much free time but at this point it was either going to school or fighting crime Clark never had the time to engage with others his age out of school and he wasn't exactly the most popular kid at school despite his easy going and friendly personality.
But an interesting opportunity had arisen for the rising hero to maybe meet people similar to him at least he hoped.
(Flashback.)
"Thank you so much Super Boy!" A woman said as the young Kryptonian placed the car safely on the side of the road.
"All in a days work ma'am!" Clark said with a friendly smile on his face.
A crowd of people then walked towards the young hero with it spreading to reveal a reporter in a black trench coat.
"Are you answering questions sir?" The reporter asked trying to not forcefully pressure him like he would to those many arrogant celebrity adults he was a pleasant kid after all."
"Ask away." Super Boy said in a welcoming manner.
The reporter then held a poster up towards him, "It has come to my attention that an event of incredible proportions will be taking place known as the 21st strongest under the heavens tournament and its said powerful fighters of meta human and other origins may attend it'll do everyone well if Metropolis's very own would attend such an event."
Super Boys eyes gleamed in wonder 'Other super powered beings? Now this is something else!' He thought ecstatic.
(End flashback.)
After a slew of other questions being asked the Kryptonian had informed his adoptive parents of such an occasion and after some brief hesitation from the two he had finally convinced them and now that he signed s form and officially was in the tournament one that would be starting tomorrow now he thrilled at the prospect of a true challenge.
(The 21st world tournament.)
The arena where the battles would soon commence was almost swarming with eager spectators as they took their seats before the matches proceeded.
"Man this place is crowded!" Goku said as they walked past tons of people checking in for a seat.
"Of course!" Krillin said "After all it was advertised that this won't exactly be regular martial arts,"
Diana scanned the crowd "Wonder where they are..."
Hey guys over here!" Bulma yelled waving at them along side Yamcha Puar and Oolong.
"Its been some time." Oolong added whilst trying to act suave.
"Who's this?' Puar asked curiously pointing at Krillin.
"The names Krillin who are you guys?"
Yamcha then stepped in "This is Bulma the pig is Oolong this is my pal Puar and I'm Yamcha." while he pointed to each of them as he said their names.
"Which of you guys are entering the tournament?" Bulma asked.
Diana grinned "All three of us we'd never step down from a challenge after all."
"Heh same here though I hope you lot aren't taken in out in the preliminaries wouldn't be much of a rival otherwise." Yamcha said goading them into getting mad though no one took the bait.
"All competitors enter the pre match locker rooms in 10 minutes!" The announcer boomed to everyone present.
"Well let's hurry up I don't wanna miss out cause we stood here talking!" Goku said before running of with everyone else competing following soon after.
(Quarter Finals.)
The Preliminaries were a complete wash for many competitors and the likes of Goku Diana Krillin and Yamcha passed their respective battles with ease but now the quarter finals were set to begin with the young Krillin set to take on Bacterian a hulk of a man who had never bathed a day in his life with a stench so potent an average man would die within seconds.
"The first match of this tournaments quarter finals is between the small and elusive Krillin and the putrid giant Bacterian!" The announcer yelled.
"Come on man at least have the decency to shower before the match." Krillin complained putting on a facade by placing his hand on his none existent nose.
"Ha as if! Now prepare to get crushed!" Bacterian boomed as he got into a battle stance.
"Ready? Go!" The announcer commanded as Krillin ran towards his much larger opponent as the behemoth of a man attempted to grab him but Krillin easily slipped through his grasp before jumping up and landing a kick on his chin propelling himself up to then hit Bacterians face before jumping back as the great oaf unleashed a cloud of stench via his unwashed breath creating a cloud of foul smelling smog.
Krillin shot a ki blast through the cloud blowing it away before firing another at Bacterian's chest as he then charged in for some high speed attacks however Bacterian countered by running at him with surprising speed tripping up Krillin's offence as he then grabbed the boy and slammed him into the floor before attempting a body slam to crush him however Krillin countered with a highspeed kick imbued with some ki to hit him in the stomach sending him skidding to the edge of the arena.
"That's it time for my trump card!" Bacterian said before turning around and unleashing a deadly fart towards Krillin and the audience.
"Deploy the gas masks now!" The announcer said fearfully as the toxic gas spread towards them.
However a boy in a blue spandex suit a red cap with an S insignia on his chest inhaled the remaining fresh air before blowing it with force creating a powerful gust of wind blowing the cloud away from the stands.
"Never mind!" The announcer said relieved.
Krillin smiled "All out of gas now? Good let's get serious now." The bald boy then jumped behind Bacterian before landing consecutive strikes to his legs knocking him over before drop kicking him out of the arena.
"And the winner is Krillin!" The announcer cheered as Krillin pumped his fist up victoriously.
"The next match of the quarter finals shall be between the now former desert bandit Yamcha and the mysterious Jackie Chun!" The announcer yelled loudly as the two fighters stepped on stage.
"Alright old man prepare for the best down of a life time!" Yamcha taunted as he got into a battle stance.
Jackie Chun chuckled "Heh let your uncalled for hubris be your down fall."
"Hubris? Please this will be easy." Yamcha said cockily pointing his thumb at himself (The curse.)
"Ha ha! Now that was a nice joke seriously your comedic skills are certainly something." Jackie Chun said sagely.
Yamcha grit his teeth "You take that back ha!" The bandit launched a quick strike but he dodged but Yamcha wasn't done yet as he continued on his offense launching flurries of punches and kicks which the old man avoided with ease.
"Come on hit me already! I won't bite." Jackie Chun taunted.
"Damn you stand still!" Yamcha growled as he tried again to no avail.
"That's it time for my signature move Wolf Fang-"
"Flick!" Jackie Chun said as he moved his finger at high speed creating winds that knocked Yamcha out the ring.
"W-what? He didn't even hit me." Yamcha stuttered surprised.
"Wow! A one hit K'O for Jackie Chun and considering Yamcha's performance last round that was certainly impressive." The announcer said as the audience applauded.
(Quick note Rosh- I mean Jackie Chun and Nam [The guy who needs water.] Fight in the preliminaries this time so don't worry Nam still gets the water don't know if anyone cared but fair warning since Rafan and Nam are eliminated already Giran the goofy ah dragon will stay though because I couldn't find a realistic replacement.)
"The next match of the quarter finals shall be between the elusive warrior Diana and the young shining beacon of metropolis Super Boy!" The announcer announced (Lol also remember Diana has no superhero identity yet while Clark does hence why he going under that name.)
"A hero huh? Sounds like an interesting occupation." Diana said regarding her opponent.
"Heroism is the greatest job there is! No pay but the peoples gratitude is more than enough for me." Super Boy replied sincerely.
Diana smiled "Glad to here that now let's get started!" She then pushed off her foot and charged at her opponent at high speed at the young Kryptonian met her in the middle of the ring as the exchanged fierce blows Diana's being more accurate and lethal while Clark's were a bit sloppier but powerful with the Amazon Princess coming out on top as the fighters jumped back.
'He hits hard I'll have to use speed to press my advantage in skill.' Diana thought before darting left and right confusing the Kryptonian.
"Damn your fast!" Clark said surprised as he was hit back to back from all sides the assault slowly pushing him towards the edge.
"Crap better focus up!" Super Boy said frantically before calming himself and successfully blocking a punch holding her in place.
"Ha got y-" He was got off as Diana flipped herself while being held on and kicked him in the face before gracefully flipping backwards and landing on the itherside of the arena.
'She's way better than me on the ground,' Super Boy thought 'But can she do this?' He then flew into the air and his eyes glowed red as he fire a less concentrated blast of heat vison before turning on and off turning it into small laser attacks as he began to spam them at the Amazonian.
"Crap that hurts!" Diana winced in pain as a beam grazed her skin "And he's holding that back a lot too!"
She then drew he shield she would opt to have used her sword but they were prohibited in tournament settings so she instead held up the shield and used it as a bunker to block the onslaught of heat vison blasts from Super Boy as she prepared her lasso to pull him down she'd use ki blasts but thus far she barely managed to produce a small ki blast unfortunately.
'I'll have to make her drop that shield,' Super Boy thought just as an ides popped into his head.
Super Boy then stopped his attacks before preparing his frost breath by breathing in and unleashing the frozen attack at Diana's shield rapidly causing the temperature to drop below freezing.
"Man that's cold!" Diana shivered as she dropped the shield as she warmed her hands by rubbing them together before attempting to lasso Super Boy now that he was close snagging his leg but instead of trying to get answers out of him she used it to swing him down slamming him face first into the floor with great force.
Clark got up in pain before charging at Diana in flight fist cocked back with Diana blocking with her shield causing he young hero to hurt himself.
"Ow! That hurt!" He yelled clutching his hand in pain.
Diana then jumped up before dropping kicking Super Boy out of the arena sending him crashing into the outer wall.
"The winner is Diana!" The announcer yelled out as Diana raised her shield in the air triumphantly.
"The next round shall between the ever curious monkey tailed Son Goku vs The talking dragon Giran!" The announcer yelled as the two fighters stepped into the ring.
(Another note Goku grew his tail back already instead of the middle of the fight.)
"You better be ready to fight cause I won't go easy!" Goku said as he got prepared for battle.
Giran smirked "No matter how hard you try victory will come easy for me monkey boy!" The dragon then charged towards the middle and swiping at the Saiyan who managed a quick dodge before engaging him in a hand to hand contest with Goku's strength easily surpassing his surprising the flying beast as Goku grabbed him and threw him towards the edge of the ring with Giran catching himself via flight.
'The hell is this kid on? He far outranks me in physical strength.' Giran thought worriedly before calming himself down 'He's just a kid he can't win!'
"Your strong Son Goku but you can't escape from this Merry Go Round Gum!" Giran then shot an energy attack towards Goku trapping the Saiyan.
"He's got me stuck!" Goku groaned in frustration as he thrashed against the attack whilst Giran swooped in for a punch however Goku's hand were still free so he launched a quick ki blast at the dragon who narrowly dodged but watched as the attack smashed the side wall to pieces.
"Holy crap that power!" Giran trembled before pulling out a white flag "I surrender please get me away from this freak!"
"Wow what a shocking turn of events I never even considered the notion that someone would actually throw a match with all that money on the line." The announcer said admittedly shocked "Anyway that wraps up the first three rounds of the tournament stayed tuned until tomorrow and the day after folks as the semi and grand finals will commence!"
Everyone cheered loudly as Goku then left the ring as everyone fanned out to leave for the day while the Saiyan looked for his friends.
"Nice work out there Goku!" Krillin commented happily as he walked up to him.
"Heh thanks Krillin and you did great out there too!"
"Man that old man was something else." Yamcha said as he joined them.
"Yeah didn't think old men could move that fast." Bulma added who was standing alongside the bandit.
"Super Boy was pretty tough if I didn't have the lasso of truth I may have lost the match." Diana admitted as she caught up with the rest of them.
"You know I'm glad I wasn't persuaded to enter that tournament I would have gotten washed!" Oolong said.
"Hey uh Diana right?" Super Boy said as he walked over to them.
"Yeah?" Diana asked curiously.
"That was a fun match seriously I've never felt the thrill of fighting until then." Super Boy said as he held his hand out for a hand shake in which Diana took it.
"I had a great time too if we ever meet again I'll be sure to spar with you." Diana replied.
"Anyways I would have stayed for the finals but I promised I would return home if I lost so see you guys around?"
"Bye!" Goku said as everyone else bid there fare wells to the Kryptonian as he took off into the sunset as they continued their conversation.
(Next day semi finals.)
"And welcome back everyone too the 21st annual world martial arts tournament though calling it martial arts seems like a bit of am understatement considering the kinds of fights we saw yesterday! Speaking of which today we'll be kicking off the matches with The former Monk Krillin up against the mysterious Jackie Chun!"
(Meanwhile in the waiting room.)
"Man Jackie Chun really? He's beat Yamcha without even hitting him though." Krillin said nervous about the upcoming fight.
"Don't worry about it there's nothing to lose." Diana said reassuringly.
"Yeah except a massive load of cash." Krillin grumbled quietly.
"Man I can't wait to can go up against Jackie Chun he's the kind of opponent I've been preparing for." Goku said.
"If you can get through me first that is." Diana said teasingly.
"If? More like when!" Goku replied as the two began to argue between each other.
Krillin sighed as he walked into the arena as Diana and Goku trailed back up to the spectator stands.
Krillin then stared across the arena at Jackie Chun who had a serene expression in his face.
'Hang on why am I scared.' Krillin thought 'He's just a senile old man and after Roshi's training I'm way stronger than him!' He smirked as he confidently strolled up to Jackie Chun.
"So kid you ready to face true power?" Jackie Chun asked.
Krillin scoffed "Of course I am I've trained with the turtle hermit himself you don't stand a chance!"
Jackie Chun smirked "Kids these days... Well I guess I'm ought to teach you some humility!"
Krillin the rushed the old man throwing rapid strikes at him with frightening accuracy as Jackie Chun barley dodged the strikes with Krillin continuing the relentless onslaught with the old man seemingly sweating as he did so before jumping back.
"Your cocky but I guess there's some reason in your confidence I actually had to try dodge a bit there!" Jackie Chun admitted impressed.
"Yeah? Well I'm just getting started when I pull all the shots out your finished!" However as he blinked Jackie Chun disappeared from view.
"Hang on where-" Krillin was then punched across the face as a brief blur sped around him.
"Man that's fast better focus up!" Krillin told himself as he concentrated as he blocks a few more high speed blows before launching a counter attack as the two engaged in a fast paced clash.
"The fighters just disappeared! Their speed must be incredible!" The announcer said.
"Where'd they go?" Yamcha asked as he scanned the ring.
"You can't see them?" Goku asked.
"Nope!" Yamcha replied.
"Really? Seems pretty normal to me." Diana added as Krillin and Jackie Chun exchanged powerful strikes.
Oolong gawked "Damn we must have fallen behind already!"
"Lets continue watching the fight!" Goku said as they all turned back to the fight with Krillin getting tossed around a lot.
"Damn it I'm falling behind!" Krillin said as he let out a burst of ki all around him to knock the old man back.
"Now its time to end this battle." Jackie Chun said as he put on a serious face.
"End this? I'm not out yet!" Krillin replied as Jackie Chun appeared from everyone's sight before he seemed to appear closer to Krillin.
"See? Got ya-uh?" Krillin stood there surprised as his hand went through an afterimage before he was hit in the stomach sending him crashing out the arena.
"Game!" The announcer called out.
'That speed... It was ridiculous!' Krillin thought as he sat there in shock.
"The winner is Jackie Chun!" The announcer yelled as the crowd cheered loudly as the two fighters walked off stage and two new ones prepared to hop on for their fight.
"The final round of the semi finals is between the headstrong monkey tailed Boy Son Goku VS the elusive warrior princess Diana!"
"Don't disappoint now Goku I've been waiting for a rematch since our first fight." Diana warned as she hefted her shield up.
"As have I but I must warn you I won't be holding back!" Goku said as he lifted his power pole to the side.
"No holding back huh?" Diana smirked as she drew her sword "I didn't expect to actually use my sword but seems I'll need to pull all the stocks out for this one!" Diana then charges toward the Saiyan sword slashing in a downward arc as Goku blocked the incoming blow with his power pole as the two warrior's seemingly disappeared from the audiences sight the two of them exchanging thrust and cuts.
"Power Pole extend!" Goku commanded as he attempted to smack it into Diana's side but she blocked with her shield before aiming a slash at his torso but he narrowly dodged the attempted counter attack as Goku withdrew his pole and charged in for hand to hand combat with the Amazon princess obliging as she withdrew her sword and shield swiftly before meeting the Saiyan head on throwing rapid punches at each other as Goku threw a few jabs while Diana managed to dodge she landed a devastating blow to his stomach sending him flying across the arena before he skidded to a halt clutching his stomach a bit.
"Man you hit hard!" Goku complimented as he grinned in spite of the pain.
Diana smiled "Hope you've got more leg in the tank it'd be a shame for you to tire out now."
"Oh I have plenty left that's for sure." Goku replied as made a beeline towards the Princess who prepared to guard against it but he swerved to the side at the last second and grasped her leg in his tail and tripped her over before launching a quick volley of Ki blasts in rapid succession 2 made direct contact whilst the rest merely glancing blows.
Diana then got up from the attacks and called upon her shield again to guard against anymore attacks.
'Dear Hera that tails an issue if I had a ranged attack this would be so much easier.' Diana thought with a grimace as she came up with a plan but Goku didn't plan on giving her the time of day as he charged toward fists at the ready as Diana started blocking with a mixture of her hands and shield each blow on the shield hurting the Saiyan's hand a bit but he had his tail ready to use yet again this time snagging her shield arm and smashing it against the ground as she grit her teeth in pain before countering with a headbutt to his face making causing him to tumble back blindly.
'Man I need to use ranged attacks more she outclasses me in physical strength by a decent bit!' Goku thought as he jumped backwards and fired some warning Ki blasts which Diana dodged in time.
Diana growled in frustration 'I can't do anything to form a effective counter for his Ki blasts other than just standing there with my shield raised won't make any progress!'
Goku continued to pressure her with spread out Ki blasts as Diana tried manifesting her own and in all her annoyance the power locked away within the Amazonian managed to manifest a bit in the form of her Ki flaring up massively as she managed her first use Ki as a weapon in the form of her sword glowing with a familiar aura as she shouted unleashing five rapid horizontal energy arcs covering the entire arena ss Goku weaved away from three of them but the last two crashed into his body dealing high damage as he landed on the floor.
"Damn that hurt." Goku chuckled deliriously as he got up from the attack before putting his hands into a familiar attack aiming it not at Diana but the ground beneath her "Kamehameha!" The massive laser like pillar of bluish yellowish Ki smashed through the ground and sent Diana flying out of the arena crashing into the side before she slumped to the ground exhausted.
"Wow what a match a lot of the fight could barley be tracked at their speed but alas it ends with Son Goku as its victor!" The announcer said as the crowd cheered jubilantly.
(Next day.)
Goku and Jackie Chun stood facing each other in the arena as the prepared for combat.
"Heh you seem a bit small to be fighting don't you think?" Roshi taunted.
"Surprised your back hasn't snapped from all the hard work old man!" Goku replied.
"You look like a small gust of wind would blow you away for miles!" Roshi retorted.
"You look like a living fossil." Goku said snidely.
"Ok then how about this Kamehameha!" Roshi said quickly.
"Kamehameha!" Goku responded just as quickly as the two beams clashed almost destroying the entire arena from their impact as Jackie Chun quickly used double after image to try trick Goku succeeding and knocking him into a wall as Goku recovered and copied the technique and improving upon it with a triple image strike smacking Jackie Chun around a bit but the old man counters with the drunken fist attack looking rather drunk and thanks to the unpredictably started pummelling Goku in rapid succession but Goku then turned around slamming his tail like a club into Jackie Chun's stomach doing serious damage as he jumped back and landed on the other side of the ring.
Jackie Chun then seemed to be charging a Kamehameha but Goku seemed to feel sleepy as it turned out he used a form of hypnosis before he got up albeit groggily as he prepared a move of his grand father's the Janken punch as he appeared to be playing rock paper scissors as he yelled paper but choose rock instead hitting the old man between the eye's and enraging him a bit.
"Deadly electric attack!" Roshi yelled as he fire Sn electrical based attack shocking him repeatedly as he seems unable to get out as he thrashed around to no avail.
"Even you grandfather struggled to escape this one Goku you have no chance!" Jackie Chun said.
Goku almost did give up until he looked up at a full moon and began to grow in size as the all to infamous form rose easily breaking out of the attack and kicking Jackie Chun away as Great Ape Goku roared in all his anger and glory as the crowds of people fled from the arena barring Goku's friends and the announcer as Jackie Chun prepared another Kamehameha while Diana tries to slice Goku's tail off and Puar transformed into a pair of scissors.
"Kamehameha!" Jackie Chun yelled as launched his massive blue laser seemingly engulfing Goku but in actuality destroying the moon with in seconds as a massive explosion occurred blinding everyone still present.
"Where's Goku?" Diana asked fearful for his safety.
"He's on the floor!" Krillin pointed to Goku's now unclothed body.
"Then that means." Bulma said as she looked to the sky but the announcer beat them to the punch.
"Th-The moon it's gone!"
