Hello ladies gentlemen aliens or whatever other species decided to read this welcome to the newest chapter of DC-Z Reborn as of now I have little of note to address (I check my inbox BTW so feel free to drop whatever you want.) So without further ado get all nice and comfy and I hope you dear viewer enjoy the latest installment of to this very random story. (I assume your enjoying it if you've read all the way to this chapter.
Age 750 (Red Ribbon island outpost.)
"So the operation at muscle tower was derailed to I assume?" A blonde handsome man with blue eyes asked from over the phone he was wearing military uniform which was just washed prior he was currently sitting I. his office away from prying eyes.
"Exactly right General Blue now who else is around here at the moment?" Commander Red replied.
"Lady Shiva, Bane and Bronze Tiger are the only people of note Captain Dark is already on another mission as we speak." General Blue confirmed.
"Hmph good enough." Commander Red sighed.
"Are you aware of our targets capabilities?" General Blue queried.
"Indeed there are three melee fighters with impressive ki control as well as two magic users though from what I've observed the older man is leaving for the time being so this will be the perfect time to take those brats out!"
"Affirmative goodbye sir."
"Yes yes goodbye and don't fail me or you know what happens." Commander Red threatened.
"I won't fail you." General Blue said resolutely as his leader hung up.
The man looked at his reflection in a side mirror and admired himself briefly before he got up and walked up to his desk and got a large megaphone out.
"Everyone to the aircraft hanger where we will hold our meeting!" General Blue commanded he already heard the thundering of hundreds of footsteps as General Blue got to his elevator and cruised down as he left the elevator he stepped onto a stage and regarded the three warriors next to him.
"Was that really necessary?" Lady Shiva asked she was an incredibly attractive woman of an Asian background with silky black hair with sharp hazel eyes and a sizeable bust she wore her usual clothing style consisting of her over the top red and black martial arts uniform.
Next to her stood Bane a giant of a man who wore a white and black mask with red glass lenses a black muscle top and a pair of leather pants with tanks attached to his back with tubes running in and out of it and ready to inject into his body filled with the super steroid known as Venom despite his appearance he was incredibly skilled and intelligent.
And finally was Bronze Tiger a man bald of African American background he wore a unzipped leather jacket with a tiger pelt shirt underneath he also wore a realistic tiger head mask to intimidate his enemies.
"So why have you called us here?" Bane asked as he regarded soldiers and assassins alike file into the room.
"Discipline." General Blue replied ominously.
Bronze Tiger however scoffed "If you intend to hurt me you'll have to put up a fight first."
"I'm talking about the foot soldiers here." Blue said annoyed "Though if it came down to it I'm sure I could win."
The three assassins smirked in unison at the thought of him attempting to fight them but the general gave them no heed as he turned back to the hundreds of men gathered in the room.
"Listen up!" General Blue commanded making all the soldiers went silent in fear of incurring his wrath.
"From the news I've received our comrades have failed in their part of the mission to obtain the dragon balls how? My I seemed to have forgotten remind me again?" General Blue paused for dramatic effect as they all exchanged glances at this point everyone knew of the embarrassment that had befallen their fellow mercenaries but no one was game enough to talk.
"Oh right a bunch of children!" General Blue yelled "We're adults with access to weapons far beyond all the worlds military combined yet a rag tag group of Savage brats have tarnished our plans over and over again!"
Most of the people present shuddered with the exception of the three elite assassins on the stage with the general.
"Perhaps its about time I give a demonstration on what happens if you fail!" General Blue shouted in anger his eyes then glowed as he glared at an unlucky few soldiers as they froze in place unable to move.
He smirked at their frozen expressions of terror as he pulled out a hand gun and quickly fired a full round into their bodies before releasing his psychic grip off their bodies as their blood began to flow once again blood splattered from the hole in their hearts as they fell to the ground everyone was deathly quiet as they bled to death on the stone cold floor.
The expert assassins looked unmoved they had seen plenty of bloodshed after all but most of the soldiers and minor assassins were shocked at the unpleasant display of power and cruelty.
"Are we clear?" General Blue asked as the soldiers stayed silent.
"Good now file out we have some dragon balls to find!"
Age 750 (Roshi's Island.)
After the battle at muscle tower Zatara had departed from the group Zatanna was supposed to go but she insisted on staying behind to finish the job and with a trip to West City to find Bulma and collect a new dragon radar and a fight for a dragon ball at the dreamland amusement park they'd now found their way to the turtle hermits Island having heard he owned a submarine that was needed to retrieve the next dragon ball.
"So you want a shrink device? For what?" Bulma asked confused.
"Oh uh you know... reasons." The turtle hermit trailed off nervously.
"I don't want to know." Diana said exasperated.
Zatanna frowned she assumed it was something perverted considering what she was told about the Kame Master.
Bulma then gave him the device he giggled manically as everyone gave him a nervous glance due to the wickedness behind his tone.
"Where's the submarine because I really want to get out of here." Krillin said nervously.
Everyone else nodded their agreement.
"Yeah yeah it's docked over there." Roshi said dismissively as he walked into the house.
"Alright then let's go!" Goku said happily.
They all then walked up to the submarine quickly opened the hatch before hopping in and began to propel off towards the dragon ball.
"Hope there's no one around to bother us when we get there." Zatanna said as she looked through the glass to see the rapidly darkening ocean.
"Yeah I've about had it with the Red Ribbon army at this point." Diana added as she saw a school of fish brush by the sub.
"Man seeing all those fish is making me hungry!" Goku admitted as his stomach grumbled as if on command.
Krillin sighed "I'm not surprised anyway who you think their going to send this time?"
"Based on their naming scheme maybe grand major green?" Zatanna replied.
"Or Officer Orange." Diana quipped.
Goku frowned "I bet it's something stupid like... Professor Pink."
"Professor Pink? Why'd the send a scientist to fight us makes no sense Goku." Krillin replied.
"I've never heard of grand major!" Goku retorted.
"Oh come on! You really have to bring it up I couldn't think of anything else." Zatanna said.
"Makes more sense than yours Goku." Diana added.
Goku sighed in defeat as Bulma turned from where she was steering the Sub to regard the group.
"You know it wouldn't hurt taking the army seriously." Bulma said concerned that they were getting cocky.
"Lighten up Bulma! We've got this." Krillin said confidently.
"Indeed while sure we should proceed with caution when facing them." Diana started "However they are pretty weak considering the ease we've been tearing through so it's not to far to keep assuming the same."
"Besides I can just knock them out with my magic." Zatanna added waving her wand around and pretending to cast spells.
Bulma rolled her eyes while Goku couldn't help but wonder what encounters were on the horizon.
Age 750 (Roshi's Island.)
"Hey Roshi look out at sea!" Launch said as she pointed out a large speeding boat heading in their direction.
"Strange... Well let's see what they want." Roshi replied as they headed towards the shore to confront the mysterious group.
Turtle frowned "What's going on out there?"
A fat round man about 5 foot 10 in height in high ranking military uniform alongside some soldiers walked up to the group weapons at the ready.
The fat man smirked "Alright here's what's happening we'll be disposing of the girl and the talking turtle and as for you old man well you'll be coming with us!"
"And who are you exactly?" Turtle asked.
"Well I am Captain Dark a elite soldier of the Red Ribbon Army!"
"Matter of fact why do you want me?" Roshi asked.
"I would expect an elite soldier to be a bit more... Fit." Launch replied unconvinced.
"Why you! Soldiers kill all of them except the scientist!"
A group of soldiers charged but Roshi cleared a wave with a swift kick some dust then kicked up from the fighting causing Launch to sneeze and become her bad persona as she began to body through the soldiers alongside Roshi.
"Yeah you guys get them!" Turtle cheered as Roshi and Launch easily dispatched of the soldiers leaving only Captain Dark and a few grunts left.
"Drat! The dragon radar is good as honest this point hoe can a scientist fight so well?" Captain Dark asked.
"Scientists? The only scientist I know is Bulma and she's a good load of eye candy if you catch my drift heh heh he!"
Captain Dark scowled "What? Your not! So this whole mission was a waste of time great just great." He flicked his whip menacingly.
Launch smiled "She's long gone in fact you don't be able to catch up with her at all."
"Heh you may think your friends safe but a much more formidable force is already on their tails!" Captain Dark replied.
"If their anything like you lot I'd be more concerned about your allies." Roshi said confidently.
Captain Dark's eyes darkened in anger as he began to swing his whip wildly as he attempted another attack but Roshi ducked under the strikes before landing a clean uppercut just enough to knock him out but not send him flying across the ocean.
The last soldier looked around nervously for a escape until Launch quickly ran behind him and brained him causing him to slump to the floor.
"That's what I'm talking about it's to easy!" Turtle yelled triumphantly.
The other two rolled their eyes at turtles bragging in spite of him doing nothing although they found it funny.
"Makes me wonder how their going out at sea now." Roshi mused as he remembered the words of the captain.
"They'll be fine." Launch replied calmly as they tied up the red ribbon soldiers and prepared to hand them in to the authorities.
Age 750 (Underwater.)
"The dragon ball should be down in this underwater cave." Bulma said as she steered the submarine down.
"Let's hope there's nothing to drag this on longer than it needs too." Zatanna added.
"Yeah those Red Ribbon Bozo's are getting on my nerves." Krillin replied.
Diana then looked out a porthole and saw a peculiar shape "Uh guys there's a submarine in pursuit!"
Goku fell over as a missle hit their vehicle as everyone else struggled to stay balanced as barrages of projectiles were thrown at them.
"Dleihs ygrene!" Zatanna yelled casting a energy shield around the ship blocking incoming torpedoes which blew apart the rocks around them as the ship shuddered from the impact.
"We need to fight now!" Diana said tensely.
"No need for that there's a unsubmerged cave up ahead!" Bulma replied.
Krillin looked around frantically as more explosions went off as the energy barrier weakened significantly "Well let's go in there already!"
"How'd they find us so fast?" Goku asked.
"Probably a tracking device." Bulma answered.
"But how could they plant it?" Diana asked.
"Probably on our clothes or something similar rather than our ship." Bulma replied.
"There it is let's go!" Zatanna yelled as the group all aborted the Sub as the shield broke down before it was utterly decimated by the onslaught of explosives they just escaped as the heard a massive explosion ring out from behind.
"Barely got out of that one!" Krillin said wiping sweat from his forehead.
"You never told me these Red Ribbon fellows were so persistent." Bulma yelled in annoyance "Now how do we get out of here when we're done?"
"We assumed you'd have guessed considering the stories we told." Diana replied.
"Do you have any magic for that Zatanna?" Goku asked.
"Using spells on you guys will be harder as higher strength lessens the impact of spells." Zatanna replied "Besides I'm not to adept yet with it."
"Oh well let's get the dragon ball now." Krillin said as he walked ahead.
"We should proceed with caution we don't know what lurks in here." Diana warned wearily.
The group continued talking quietly as the treaded cautiously around the cave until they turned s corner and were confronted with a group of soldiers.
"Let's get them!" A grunt yelled as he led the charge towards the group who all prepared for battle however they soon stepped on a booby trap much to their dismay.
The soldiers screamed in pains as spears shot out from the floor impaling them through their bodies before sticking to the roof acting as stalactites as blood dripped from their corpses.
Zatanna looked on in disgust as did Krillin and Bulma though Diana and Goku weren't as phased due to seeing their fair share of blood from a young age.
"Any ideas on getting around that?" Krillin asked.
"Tanking the spears?" Goku suggested.
"Preferably without us being impaled." Bulma replied.
"Maybe your power pole?" Diana added.
Zatanna waved her wand playfully reminding them of a much safer alternative.
"Oh right magic bit safer that balancing on the power pole." Krillin said.
"Noitativel!" Zatanna commanded causing them all to float albeit with their own free will.
"Wow this is fun!" Goku said practicing levitating before attempting to traverse above the trap and landing safely on the over side.
Diana smiled "It's very efficient." As she soon followed before the rest joined them across the chasm.
"I would try maintain it but it drains me a lot to levitate all of us sorry about that." Zatanna apologized.
"That's fine besides without that we would still be crossing in a much more dangerous way." Krillin replied.
"Where to next?" Goku asked.
"Well the dragon ball should be this way." Bulma said as she took up as the lead of their party.
They walked a little while longer through the dark dank caverns until they reached a particularly dark area as they all looked around anxiously for danger.
"On guard." Diana forewarned holding her shield up defensively.
Zatanna then summoned a flame in the palm of her hand that doubled as a light source and weapon.
"Lot of skulls here." Bulma observed as they passed rotten corpses of long dead visitor's to the caverns.
"Why were all these people coming here?" Goku asked.
"Probably a myth about some treasure or something." Diana replied "Tends to be the case."
As they continued walking Krillin stopped momentarily to look at a particularly large skull of an unnatural white.
"Uh guys?" Krillin called out they all promptly turned around "What's this?"
Bulma inspected the skull carefully "Beats me definitely not human."
"Maybe its an ape skull." Zatanna suggested.
"The braincase is to long for that besides why would an ape come down here?" Diana replied.
Goku then kicked the skull but instead of it rolling away he was met with a metallic thud.
"That wasn't bone that's metal!" Bulma said.
Said skull's eye sockets suddenly lit up with small glowing red dots as it then unearthed itself bursting through the rubble it was under revealing green metal plates protecting its arms and legs which were ridiculously thin it's torso was black with yellow pads across its shoulders and a long metallic tail causing it to resemble xenomorph in shape though in essence armed with a long sword it was a metal killing machine.
The robot then aimed a slash at the group they jumped away in different directions the robot then anyalized its targets before pursing Goku who was forced on the defensive by its ferocious strikes.
"Go for it's flank!" Goku yelled as he parried blows with his power pole.
Diana then ran for its tail and quickly sliced it off the robot turned to attack her but Krillin bombarded it with ki blasts causing it to stagger.
The robot then recovered before it began to chase Krillin giving Zatanna the perfect time to strike.
"Evaw ladit!" Zatanna shouted conjuring a small tidal wave to unleash upon the robot as Krillin jumped the wave the machine was drenched by the powerful wave causing it to short-circuit in a fiery explosion.
"Wasn't to bad." Diana commented pleased with the outcome.
"What now then?" Krillin asked.
"We need to cover ground with maximum efficiency." Zatanna replied.
"Splitting up sounds like a bad idea." Bulma said "Besides can't you make clones?"
Zatanna sighed "I need to save all the energy I've got especially since the army is currently after us."
"Good point." Diana said.
"I can go on my own!" Goku suggested eagerly.
"But you'll get lost!" Krillin replied.
"Besides you would be in more danger on your own." Bulma added.
"I mean I could go with him." Diana stated.
"You sure?" Zatanna asked.
"We'll be fine together besides we've been doing these sought of things together for a while now." Diana replied.
Goku nodded in agreement.
"Alright then we'll meet at the location of the dragon ball." Bulma said showing them the route they'd b taking.
The group then said their goodbyes as they walked down their respective routes.
Age 750 (The elites.)
"We've lost track of them." Bane said as they reached the site of a recent battle indicated by the relatively fresh blood of some soldier.
"They can't be that far maybe 10 minutes ahead at best." Bronze Tiger replied.
Lady Shiva then threw a knife at the trap causing a spare to spring out of the ground.
"As I expected they weren't killed by the children they were caught in a trap." Lady Shiva said as she jumped over the pit.
"Can't say I'm surprised they haven't purposely killed any of my soldiers before it would be out of character for them." General Blue remarked as he too jumped the bit with Bane and Bronze Tiger close behind.
The small group then continued as General Blue began to think first about the soldiers killed before they passed the sight of another battle indicated by the debris scattered around by a explosion.
"So how are these Ki rings treating you lot?" General Blue asked curiously.
"Haven't put them to the test in battle yet but our physical strength is amplified significantly." Bronze Tiger replied also quite pleased with the small gadget.
"Indeed the power boost it gives me is greater than Venom without its drawbacks." Bane added.
Lady Shiva smirked "It's been interesting making a mockery of others efforts by cheating our way to access Ki."
General Blue nodded showing his own "Yes I'm glad that at least our scientists are somewhat competent compared to our soldiers."
"Assuming we succeed perhaps future partnerships will be profitable." Bronze Tiger prompted curiously.
"Naturally though our lower ranked peers will have to step up their game when war eventually happens." General Blue replied.
"Seems the path splits in two." Bane interjected as everyone played attention to the two routes.
"We should split up." General Blue said.
"In two's?" Lady Shiva asked.
"No I say I go one you three on the other." General Blue replied "Besides I am a meta human and with the Ki ring I am the most adept here." He Fi wished cockily.
The other three rolled their eyes in annoyance "Fine but don't cry for help when your getting killed." Bronze Tiger said.
They then went on their respective paths to continue their hunt once again.
(Ki rings are literally just a device that unlocks Ki for the user while worn I added it because otherwise the villains are no threat also General Blue being a meta human makes sense considering he has powers so there's that too I guess anyway let's continue.)
Age 750 (Goku and Diana.)
"Wonder when the path ends." Goku pondered.
"Who knows we didn't get the exact distance just a shape of the path." Diana replied.
"Um Diana?" Goku asked.
"Yes?"
"Do you miss your family some times?"
A wave of homesickness washed over the Princess "There never isn't a day that I don't miss them makes me glad I'm going back soon."
"For how long?" Goku asked.
Diana sighed "Who knows I will come back though of course I have friends here too."
"You think we're your friends?" Goku said surprising Diana.
"Of course! What else do you think we are?"
"You keep saying the word... Comrade." Goku trailed off.
"Oh right that's just a synonym for ally."
"Synonym?"
Diana giggled a bit "Means the words mean the same thing and hey allies can be friends too you know?"
Goku nodded "Good point."
"How about your family? You've only ever talked about your grandpa." Diana prompted curiously.
Goku frowned "I don't know any other family even grandpa never knew my parents makes me wonder what I am sometimes."
"You know with that tail and the way you transform under the moon you could be some sought of alien?" Diana joked.
"Alien... Didn't think you believed in them." Goku said.
"Meh considering what we've seen aliens aren't to far fetched." Diana replied.
"Fair enough wonder if we'll meet any."
"What would they want with us?" Diana asked.
"Never know they might like Earth food!" Goku suggested.
"Heh maybe so."
Goku then turned around to see an energy ball fly from behind them "Look out!" The two dodged the Ki blast which caused an explosion up ahead.
Another was quickly launched but Diana countered with her shield spraying dust in the air as the two of them spotted a trio of figures in the fog one female and two males.
"What do you want?" Diana asked waving her weapons around threateningly as the smog cleared revealing the three warriors.
The one with a tiger mask smirked "Someone's grumpy! Anyway I go by the name Bronze Tiger and you can call my associates Bane and Shiva though she prefers lady at the front."
"Its common manners." Lady Shiva interjected.
"Anyway we've been hired to clear out the trash that being you." Bane continued "Speaking of which are the others?"
"Far away from you! Diana replied.
The trio smirked mockingly as Goku frowned.
"Who do you work for?" Goku questioned warily.
"Normally dispelling such information would be frowned upon but you'll be dead soon enough." Lady Shiva said "We work under then league of assassins."
The duo's blood ran cold knowing these three weren't the same pushovers they've faced prior.
"Name ring a bell? Thought so there are many people who would pay big to see you lot dead." Bronze Tiger stated with a smile before drawing his sword "And I would just be glad to comply now let's test these reflexes shall we?"
He charged towards Goku with lightning speed who just barely blocked with his power pole.
"Not bad for a well like yourself." Bronze Tiger stated as the the two traded strikes with their respective weapons Diana came from behind with her own sword but Bronze Tiger quickly jumped out the way avoiding the blow by a mile.
Bronze Tiger stood proudly as his comrades stayed behind them observing with smirks on their faces.
"Not going to help your friend?" Goku called to them.
"He needs no help against the likes of you two." Bane replied.
Diana and Goku both smiled at that "Your loss then." Diana said as she got into a fighting stance that the three assassins had never seen prior while Goku got into the Kame style.
Diana then charged at Bronze Tiger quickly disarming him before putting her own sword away and beginning to humble him with a beating of a lifetime.
"What?" Lady Shiva gasped put in surprise as Bronze Tiger was dismantled before promptly being knocked out by the Princess.
"That fighting style... I've never seen it before." Bane stated fearfully.
"I could barely follow it but she somehow countered each of his strikes perfectly." Lady Shiva added.
Diana smiled as she heard this "I would have assumed no one in man's world would recognise that style besides my friends."
Goku then changed up his style to something similar to Diana's they were both utilizing the ways of an Amazonian in how they fought Diana from her teachings as a child an Goku picking up on it from his friend as the two charged towards the duo as Bane quickly pumped Venom into his blood multiplying his powers while Lady Shiva drew her own sword as they group clashed with one another however try as the assassins did they were shockingly outclassed their Ki rings barely helped them keep up with their strength and speed and eventually the two elite warriors stumbled to the floor knocked and with their Ki rings removed.
"We'll be taking these." Diana said handing them to Goku to pocket away as her armour had none as they continued on the path to meet back up with their friends.
Age 750 (The cavern with treasure.)
"Wow now this is a load!" Krillin said excitedly as he gazed upon the piles of gold and other precious ores.
Zatanna nodded in agreement "Its certainly something that's for sure."
Bulma then inspected the large pile before spotting a familiar orange orb at the top she then ran up the pile and grabbed it "Its the dragon ball!" Bulma shouted in relief.
"Sweet we just have to wait for the others now." Zatanna replied.
Krillin frowned "Shouldn't they be here by now? The tunnels were around the same size."
"Good point." Zatanna replied.
They all looked around curiously but found nothing.
"Maybe their walking back around there isn't another entrance in here after all." Bulma said.
"Do you think they're fighting something?" Krillin asked.
Zatanna frowned "But we would have heard something by no-" She was then interrupted by the sounds of explosions and the cavern shaking.
"Never mind." Zatanna finished.
"We've got to help them!" Krillin said determined but then a voice echoed up from above "Helping them should be the least of your concerns."
The all looked up to where they entered the cavern to see a buff blonde man with blue eyes staring down at them with a menacing grin before he jumped down to address them face to face.
"So how are we doing this?" General Blue prompted.
"Your can't have it!" Zatanna replied Stepping in front of Bulma to protect her.
"Yeah you'll have to fight us for it!" Krillin added.
"Oh well you just took the words out of my mouth." General Blue said with an arrogant smile as he dashed forward to attack the duo as they rolled to the side Krillin launched some Ki blasts but General Blue blocked with his own.
"You know how to use Ki as well?" Krillin asked.
The general smirked "No but this Ki ring grants me the ability to do so while I wear it!"
"Thanks for telling us that." Zatanna replied before she conjured a new spell "Sisenikelet!" Her eyes then glowed purple as she snatched the ring of the General's finger before placing it on her own finger.
The generals eyes widen in shock "What how?"
"Looks nice for a piece of tech." Zatanna said whilst admiring her finger before she felt the newfound energy flow through her she then flared up her new aura before launching a blast at General Blue who was hit square in the chest by the attack sending him crashing into the wall.
"Damn you!" General Blue snarled "I never knew you could use telekinesis! Oh well how about a taste of mine!" A pulse of psychic energy blasted towards Zatanna but Krillin jumped in the way being paralyzed by the blast.
"Krillin!" Zatanna shouted in worry as Bulma looked on in fear.
"That's right because of you your friend dies!" The general shouted chocking Krillin with his powers until they heard a crash as Goku and Diana fell through the roof the princess landed gracefully while the Saiyan crashed into Blue making him lose focus and release Krillin who gasped for air.
"More brats! Where are the others when I need them!" Blue shouted in anger.
"They've been dealt with." Diana replied with a smirk.
The general gulped as the 4 young warriors surrounded him before they began to pummel and beat him until he fell to the ground unconscious.
"Good timing guys!" Bulma said thankful.
The cave then rumbled violently suprising the group.
"Let's get out of here!" Krillin shouted as debris and water crashed down washing the other treasures away.
"Tropelet!" Zatanna shouted putting her now enormous reserves of energy to use as they were surrounded with a powerful glow before they instantly teleported out of the cavern and back to the safety of Roshi's Island but unknown to them a submarine carrying the three assassins had already fled the caverns as General Blue was left alone to face an uncertain fate.
