That night

Standing outside shifted I look at the other's shifted forms Pieter has a smaller size and build than Mathilda, while she's a beautiful pure white almost like she glows with blue eyes, he is the darkest black like he sucks the color out of anything near him with striking green eyes, their dad matches Mathilda in size and build being hulking giants but has a dark brown coat, Emma is a little taller than me and lean like she's built for speed she has a black coat with strips of brown, and Heidi is slightly taller than her with a gray coat.

I watch as they tilt their heads back howling hearing an answering howl Mathilda moves by me nuzzling me 'The pack is coming to meet your pride Maus that's Felix's family'.

I purr licking her cheek till a small brown wolf charges into view 'BECA' I jump overdodging the wolf I've placed as Gisela, she turns charging back and tackles me licking my face I wrap my paws around her playfully biting her scruff bunny kicking her.

'So this is Mathilda mate' I stop looking up at the light brown wolf looking at me and Gisela, kicking her one more time, I get up sitting down and wrap my tail around my feet.

'She looks scrawny'

I ignore him as Felix comes over nudging me then Lily and Emily who Gisela has started playing with.

I freeze looking at him 'Well shit time to switch languages' I sigh.

He laughs 'How many?'

'Four not counting English, my aunts liked to travel' I say seeing Mathilda's eyes narrow atme.

'You speak five languages?'

'Well six if you count understanding one but not being great at speaking it'

'Why didn't you tell me?'

'Because I liked watching you get frustrated with not understanding Romanian'

I grunt feeling Lily drape herself over my back tugging my ear growling happily 'Lily get off and go play with Emily she looks bored'.

She tugs a few more times then moves off 'Can someone explain why we had to shift to do this?' I ask looking around unsure.

Mathilda nuzzles me again 'It's tradition when a group joins another they all meet like this, it's to allow us to memorize the scent of the new members easier, a way of bonding'.

'We didn't do that' I mumble.

'No meine Maus because we were in the process of forming the beginnings of a mating bond, doing this means we accepted each other as mates that's why Gisela was so excited'.

'Oh this is still weird to me'

'I promise I'll teach you everything I know'

Time lapse

Waking I groan and stretch my body feeling my back pop then I sigh relaxing on the bed falling back asleep slightly, an arm moves around my waist pulling me into the warm body behind me "Good morning Maus".

Turning over I snuggle into her pressing my lips to her neck and humming "Sleeping" I mumble.

I throw my leg over her waist moving to get comfortable when she grabs my hip groaning, I freeze then move back "Sorry" I mumble blushing.

She hums "We should get up Maus".

"Noooo comfy" I whine getting myself snuggled under the soft warm puffy blanket.

Mathilda pulls it off laughing as I whine reaching to find it, not feeling it I huff tugging the fitted sheet till it comes off, and tuck myself in it curling up "Go away puppy" I mumble hearing her laugh as the door closes I let myself fall back to sleep.

I wake up again, the sun's bright in the window I frown trying to figure out what woke me, when I smell coffee, groaning I roll over seeing Mathilda leaning on the door frame holding coffee and what looks like a huge jelly-filled donut.

"Is that a donut?" I mumble rubbing my eyes sitting up.

"Freshly made Berliner," she says smirking at me, I huff glaring "It's a donut to me are there any more?"

She hums shrugging "There was when I came up, but I did leave them with Pieter and Lily".

I jump up sliding as I rush down the stairs my house slippers causing me to slide multiple times "So damn happy I got cat reflexes now" I mumble when I slide tilting sideways my leg catches on a table before using my sliding to push away from it safely.

Following the scent I rush in seeing Pieter biting into one, quickly looking around seeing no more I pout.

"Poor kleine Maus" he teases taking another bite of it.

Emma comes in slapping his head "Don't tease or you can forget having more".

She hands me a plate with two on it "There are more in the kitchen, although Lily ripped upone of each in a bowl and started eating it with a spoon".

I groan rubbing my face "Oh crap, I forgot about her coffee habits" I mumble.

She frowns nodding "Mathilda handled that I've never seen someone drink coffee that way, oh I think Emily has gotten a sugar rush she tried some of Lily's coffee".

I nod "Okay thank you I'll handle it".

Taking off to the kitchen I find Emily almost vibrating in her seat "Emily go outside and run or something".

She nods quickly grabbing Lily and rushing off, as I hear Lily raise her voice to normal levels saying my coffee.

Looking around I whistle till I find the puppy, picking her up she growls a little "Yeah, yeah you don't like me and I don't like you shut up" I say lifting her, looking at her stomach and seeing no light scar showing she's fixed.

"I'll have to check with Lily for your paperwork" When she growls again I look at her "I guess you're kind of cute" I mumble putting her down.

"Making friends with the dog or thinking of getting one yourself?" Mathilda asks.

I scoff looking at her "No and no" I answer as I make my coffee.

She nods and reaches out to my plate I slap her hand pulling it to me "Don't touch my donuts" I hiss.

"It's a Berliner or Krapfen" she says laughing.

I glare at her picking one up "Donut" I say pointing at it then take a bite.

"Fine you can call it a donut" I nod humming at the taste.
