A month later

Sitting on the porch I smile watching Lee as he wobbles around after shifting for the first time with Emily and Lily laying beside him shifted watching proudly.

Seeing him yawn I chuckle when he chirps, his eyes widen as he looks shocked at them.

Lily nuzzles him then chips at him and he leans back looking at her.

"That could be you and Mathilda" Iris says chuckling.

"Could be you and Stac too" I counter.

"We are not ready for that yet"

I smirking then frown "has a Cambion and Cecaelia ever had a child together before?" I ask.

"Not that I know of"

"I guess if we decide to have kids we will both be seeing how they turn out and look" I mumble shrugging.

"You sound like your thinking about it" She says slowly.

"No and yes, I'm not ready yet we need more time as a couple her music career is just starting to take off, I've been asked to help a few artists with their albums, plus that whole thing everyone seems to be warning about, am I fighting a war or something I don't want to bring achild into a war" I say softly.

"I don't believe it's a war, I'm sure there will be people against you but I think now our people are more open minded it's like leading by example showing that yes it's possible to be a mixed group"

"There is a lot of hate even in creatures I have no doubt that someone will try to make this a fight" I whisper.

"That's why you need to gain support from others like myself and Nix the older the better"

Nodding I look back to Lily, Emily, and Lee "Stacie and I will be going to Africa to find a hyena shifter he is a little older then me but supposedly he is one of the royal shifters".

"Why Royals and ancient?" I ask frowning.

"Because no matter what we follow our leaders and the strongest even if we don't agree with them so the more Royalty the better the more powerful the better"

Nodding I stand up going inside, reaching my room I crawl in bed laying on my back "meine Maus".

Humming I look at Mathilda "are you okay?" She asks laying by me.

"Yes just a little overwhelmed" I whisper.

"Talk to me"

"With everything going on, what everyone seems to expect me to do I'm worried about what will happen and I know you want kids at some point but I don't know if we can because I don't want to bring them into a war"

She sighs pulling me to her "I'm in no rush Maus, If it happens great If you want to wait longer that's okay too".
