Chapter 17- wild chase in a Skylands countryside

The Westernmost Skylands

Quaoar and company had finally arrived in the Sky Domain in their Flying Saucer. However, by the time their Saucer rose above the clouds and flew to the Westernmost Skylands where the Seven Sister Acquas and their family and friends lived, it was night, the skies further above the Sky Domain being dark with stars spangling the blue-black canvas; the Celestial Domain and home of the Star People such as Crasher Wake. The Narnian Moon was clearly visible almost directly above the Sky Domain and it was in its half phase. Like our world's moon, the Narnian Moon, a domain in of itself and Obi Wan and his group's home domain, had phases but how the Narnian Moon's phases occurred wasn't fully understood due to Narnia being a glass dome-type world and not a sphere like the Earth. As the Flying Saucer touched down onto a patch of Skyland countryside similar to a field (unlike the fields on the Land Domain whose grass was green, the Sky Domain fields and other countryside areas had white grass resembling tiny icicle spikes. However, they were still soft like their green Land Domain counterparts), Quaoar and company took some time to stretch their legs, especially Ozone and Bentley who had been cooped up in that compartment too small for them to fully stand to their relief and gladness, before finally returning to the Flying Saucer to spend the rest of the night, but not before Quaoar had contacted Xenon via the DV communicator that they had arrived to Xenon's gladness. Xenon told Quaoar that he will guide the group to their destination of the Seven Sisters and their village in the morning.

In another area of countryside in the Sky Domain

Quite far away from Quaoar and company's location, in a white grassy area and a thicket of cloud-trees, trees that were white and pink and had the texture of clouds rather than the green leaves as seen in Land Domain trees, there was, at the moment, silence. The flora and fauna of the Sky Domain was VERY different from that of the Land Domain but still, there were forests and countryside areas in the Skylands. Instead of green as seen in the plants of the Land Domain though, the plants of the Sky Domain had white, yellow, pink and blue as their most common colours. VERY few species of Sky Domain plants had green with one sort being the Sky Domain's Nine-Realms Potion ingredient-bearing plants, the rainbowberry vines in the Rainbowberry Orchard just outside the enclosed Asgard Sky City. Three of the commoner species of Sky Domain plants were cloud-trees, trees that resembled clouds on silvery stalks or trunks; icicle trees, trees that had spiky thorn-like 'leaves' like ice crystals and resembled Christmas trees in shape, and the blue sky lily tree, a towering tree species that grew flat bowl-like 'dishes' for collecting rainwater. These 'dishes' were large like the pads of a water lily that lives on the Land Domain. Like the Land Domain, the Sky Domain had a variety of dumb animals that only came out during the day, at dawn or dusk, or the night and right now, in this area of Sky Domain countryside, the nighttime or nocturnal dumb animal inhabitants were out on their nightly routines, among them the Sky Domain Forest Flish. Unlike their Land Domain counterparts which were often shiny green, yellow and sometimes had black markings, the Forest Flish of the Sky Domain had silvery scales with their wing-fins tipped a metallic icy blue colour. They were essentially like flying sardines designed to make their home in the forests of the Sky Domain, those forests being mostly made up of the aforementioned cloud trees, icicle trees and the blue sky lily trees. Additionally, the Sky Forest Flish had hooks on their pelvic fins for roosting like their Land Forest counterparts.

The Sky Forest Flish continued to flit about, their silvery scales glinting in the starlight and the light of the Narnian Moon which hovered as a silvery half circle above the Sky landscape that was thousands of feet above the Land. The silvery Sky Domain Forest Flish flitted and danced between the branches of the cloud-trees; their wing-fins beating the air when suddenly, movement startled the winged sardine-like fish into hiding into some nearby cloud-trees similar to sea fish darting into coral when a predator swam in.

A shadowy figure walked through the darkness of the cloud-tree forest, padded feet landing softly onto the icy white grass. The creature was a large bipedal or two-footed animal and it was not the only creature present. With the big creature were four smaller creatures, barely visible in the dark and in the shafts of moonlight that shone through the perforations of the mass of cloud-trees. Some of the moonlight spots landed on one of the four, a figure that was also a biped and had orange skin. This figure had three more forms with it and they appeared to be in the shape of a bird, a four-legged carnivore and a primate. These four smaller creatures rode on top of the bigger creature whose stance was like that of a T-Rex except it didn't have any front arms. A long appendage darted out of the front end of the T-Rex-like creature in a hissing sound and then retracted. This appendage ended in a spear-like head so this creature was clearly NOT a T-Rex for T-Rexes did not have tongues like that. The quartet continued creeping through the cloud-tree thicket on their T-Rex-like creature which they used as a steed and as they stopped at a bigger parting between two of the fluffy trees, the smaller bipedal figure, its head and upper body now visible, looked out. Its skin, lit up by the moonlight, was orange and its eyes were yellow. Below the yellow eyes was a blush of deep pink on the cheeks. The yellow eyes took in the outside country before commanding the bigger spearheaded tongued T-Rex-like creature to keep moving.

"Come on, Stingray," it whispered and the creature obeyed. As the creature continued to carry the four smaller ones on its back, the bird-shaped figure stiffened.

"Momotaro, Inu, Saru," it whispered, "I hear voices."

Immediately the other three froze and the biped commanded the steed to stop and it did. Then the group began to listen as the voices became louder.

"Saru, can you go to that gap, look out and tell us what you see?" the biped spoke to the primate and the primate obeyed, leaped off the T-Rex-like creature's back to said gap and looked out, its hands and feet grasping some of the branches of the cloud-trees flanking the gap.

This primate was a Macaque and it was of the Talking form. It resembled a common macaque from our world or the dumb form in Narnia and it had greyish fur, sandy yellow eyes and darker ashen grey fur near its hands and feet. The fur near its head and shoulders was brownish and the Talking Macaque wore some type of bag on its back. This type of bag was a back satchel and it was worn like a backpack or rucksack. As the Talking Macaque gazed at the sources of the voices, the other three on the steed stepped fully into the moonlight and became fully visible. The T-Rex-like creature was an Arrow-Tongue and it was shiny dark grey, almost black with trunk-like legs, a Theropod-like tail, two tendril-like appendages rising from its back and sides and its head was wedge-shaped. It had a mouth and from that mouth snaked a tongue ending in an arrowhead which gave the species its name. The tongue was also greyish-black and the arrowhead was silvery, like a spear's head. Arrow-Tongues were one of the apex predators of the Narnian Moon's fauna. Due to their dangerous and wild nature it was nigh impossible to tame one but it was not COMPLETELY impossible. Only a mere handful of sentient creatures created by Aslan to speak and think had managed to ever tame an Arrow-Tongue but there was an alternative method to do this: raising them from hatching. The Talking Macaque and its comrades had done just that with their Arrow-Tongue they had named Stingray and this creature was their trusty steed.

The other three riders of the Arrow-Tongue were a Common Pheasant, a Grey Dog and a strange biped called a Peach Elf. The Common Pheasant was like any other common pheasant and based on its plumage, it was a male for like their dumb counterparts, Talking Pheasants were sexually dimorphic. This Talking Common Pheasant had mottled brown plumage, long greyish tail feathers spotted with black stripes, a vivid metallic green head and deep red spectacle-like wattles around his eyes. Talking Hen Pheasants were less decorated than their male counterparts. The Dog had silvery grey fur and resembled a Labrador while the Peach Elf sported vibrant orange skin. All four of these quartet members were male as was the Arrow-Tongue. The Elf's skin faded to yellow towards his hands and feet but his cheeks were a vivid pink, like blushes. He wore leafy clothing as like most Humanoids; Peach Elves also wore clothes, often from woven leaves and other plant material like most other forest-dwelling Humanoids such as Curupira, for warmth and modesty purposes. The Peach Elf's eyes were yellow and his face and head as a whole was rotund. His nose was rounded and his ears were fairly large with rounded pinnas or earlobes. He had deeper orange hair which was longer and redder in females of his species, and a short stubby tail. Tails were largely non-existent in Humanoids such as Elves, Dwarves and Grey Men but few species did have a short tail like the Peach Elf and the Blue Elf. Peach Elves were unusual and highly unique among the Elves in their reproductive biology. Unlike most other Elf species who bore their babies live like humans, Peach Elves laid eggs resembling giant peaches and this was where their babies hatched. The peach colour of their skin and their peach-shaped eggs were what earned this unusual Elf species its name. In fact, Peach Elves were similar to Platypuses, Echidnas and Leopard Water Dogs in their reproductive biology.

Back to this quartet, the name of the Peach Elf was Momotaro while the three Talking Animals with him were named Saru (the Macaque), Kiji (the Pheasant) and Inu (the Dog) and they were the quartet of heroes Xenon discussed with Quaoar earlier. The four was out on a night spy trip on their Arrow-Tongue steed, Stingray and were about to witness a group of rogue creatures up to no good and all four of them carried back satchels. The Macaque, Saru, began to describe to Momotaro, Kiji and Inu what he saw through the cloud tree gap.

"I'm seeing a group of Snorkies, Blue Elves, Yellow Homunculi and two Leopard Water Dogs," he said, "And they seem to have something."

Immediately, Momotaro commanded Stingray to take him, Inu and Kiji out of the forest so that they can see the group gathering for themselves and to gather information and Stingray did. As soon as the five were out of the cloud-tree forest and fully in the moonlit clearing with the Macaque rejoining them, the four began to watch the group while at the same time keeping to their hiding spot to prevent being seen, especially as talking filled the night air as the gathered Snorkies, Blue Elves, Yellow Homunculi and the two Leopard Water Dogs grouped together and began to talk amongst themselves. Momotaro reached into his back satchel and pulled out a device. This device was cone-shaped and was made from wood shaped into a cone. In one end of the wood a glass crystal lens was fitted, allowing the user to see things in the distance clearly. This device was a distance magnifier or in human terms, a telescope, and as soon as Momotaro had it out of his satchel, he put its smaller end to his eye and began to peer through it at the gathered group as they continued to talk. Suddenly, a dark grey six-legged Puma with red-orange stripes slashing through its pelage plumage like cracks near a volcano walked in to Momotaro's surprise.

"A Wampus Cat?" the Peach Elf whispered.

"I believe that could be Nero," Kiji said in a low voice, having recognised the six-legged Cat, clearly a Wampus Cat, "One of that rogue Kitsune's higher underlings."

"And that Leopard Water Dog I believe is Daffodil," said Inu but Momotaro harshly shushed them into silence as he began to observe the group clearly lead by Nero the Wampus Cat and Daffodil, one of the two Leopard Water Dogs and a female based by her lighter yellow spotted fur and shorter tail. The other was a male and had darker yellow spotted fur and a longer tail.

"Come on, folks," Nero called to the Nestri Primi, Yellow Homunculi, Blue Elves and Snorkies, "We haven't got all night. We should be heading back at Asgard Sky City by now. Where is our catch!?"

Momotaro signalled to Kiji, the Pheasant to fly to the top of one of the nearby cloud-trees and gather information from a different angle. The Pheasant obeyed and fluttered up to there. Then Kiji reached into his satchel and pulled out another device. This device was ovoid or near-egg-shaped and resembled a semi-futuristic piece of technology in human terms. It was silvery and had a small hole in one side and larger shiny flat surface on the other. This device was used like a camera and it took pictures. However, despite its futuristic appearance, the pictures it took were primitive and resembled drawings made on a human's world etch-a-sketch toy than an actual camera. Even our black-and-white cameras in our world produced more advanced images than these devices but they still produced definitive images despite this setback. Kiji turned on the device, called an etch-pod, and began to have it rapidly sketch a short series of pictures of Daffodil, Nero and their group. Also like a camera in our world, the etch-pod stored the images it took in its memory.

"What do you mean by 'catch', Nero?" asked Momotaro quietly as he continued to look through his distance magnifier. Then a Nestri Primus, a bright green and purple striped one, called to Nero.

"Here we are," he shouted, "It wasn't easy catching this brute and some of us got badly hurt but we managed it in the end."

Then as Momotaro, Kiji, Saru and Inu looked on, after the bright green and purple Nestri Primus appeared, more Nestri Primi, Snorkies and several Blue Elves came in with a large cage. However, this cage was not an ordinary cage with bars and slabs for its roof and floor most people thought of. It was a special type of cage, a force-field cage. It was constructed from a base with four C-shaped 'bars' rising up from it, curving outward and their tips meeting in the middle but not connecting. These four bars were crystalline and made of a magical material exclusive ONLY to the Narnian world. This material had the ability to project force fields. In Gandalf and Seresute's base hundreds of years ago during the Age of Winter, this material was used to close off the cells of the dungeon compartment and contain inhabitants that had seriously misbehaved or were suspicious. The four bars projected a force field in a bubble due to how they were built and when Momotaro and his group saw what was contained in the force field cage, they winced in UTMOST horror. In the force field bubble cage was a large creature, about twice the size of Momotaro and his three Animal Friends' Arrow-Tongue Stingray. It had a large spherical head, two large eyes and straight antennae atop its head ending in clubs like a butterfly. Snaking below the massive head was a slim 'torso' which split into three parts. The two front parts were the creature's 'arms' and widened towards the tips like spatulas while the third branch continued and eventually split further into three tail-like tentacles. Its skin was a vivid blue like that of the sky. However, its antenna clubs, spatula-like 'hands' tail tips and eye irises were a darker blue and the creature's body, which also emanated a vivid light blue light, bathed its captors like a Star Person's vivid blue aura. However, this creature was NOT at ALL pleased. It was writhing in FURY in the bubble cage, emitting screeches and whistles sounding like whale calls. Momotaro, Inu, Kiji and Saru's eyes widened in UTMOST horror and they mouths and beak opened and drew in a SHARP gasp at the sight of the creature as recognition took hold and immediately, Kiji took a sketch-photo of the sight with his etch-pod.

"The Blue Arcobalenopod!" Momotaro cried in a whisper, "That lot has captured the Blue Arcobalenopod!"

"One of the Seven Arcobalenopods the Great Aslan has created to be protectors against evil and threats, mostly in the Sky Domain," Kiji added as he took his etch-pod and put it back into his satchel. Then as Momotaro and the three Talking Animals looked on, Nero and his group released EVIL laughs of triumph as the creature, the Blue Arcobalenopod, continued to writhe and release ANGRY whistles and screeches in its cage.

"One down, six to go," the Wampus Cat gloated, "Our master Kurama will need ALL seven of them..."

As he said this, Momotaro got ready to command Stingray to take him and his three friends and assistants to somewhere else when suddenly, a swarm of fireflies of one of the Sky Domain species appeared and formed a bright light behind them, making them freeze in an 'Uh-oh...' pose, their faces showing it. Some species of Sky Domain fireflies often swarmed to produce a flash of light to communicate with other swarms over long distances as well as startle and blind predators to drive them off. This particular swarm had perceived Momotaro and his group on Stingray as such and were swarming together to create the flash to drive them off (albeit BEHIND the five) but their behaviour came at a bad time for them. The flash of light from the Sky firefly cloud generated a bright flash behind the four and their steed and projected their shadow Nero and his group's way and as that happened, all lightning bolts broke loose.

Momotaro and company's shadow from the firefly cloud's light flashed onto the floor near Nero and company and when they saw this, they turned Momotaro and company's way, seeing them in the firefly cloud's light before the lightning bugs dispersed. Immediately, Daffodil screeched, "It's A GROUP OF SPIES and they have SEEN US WITH THE BLUE ARCOBALENOPOD! CAPTURE AND KILL 'EM!"

Immediately, the Snorky, Nestri Primus, Blue Elf and male-only Yellow Homunculus grunts launched into an attack charge at Momotaro and his group. In response, Momotaro seized a weapon from his back satchel, a slingshot and a pouch of some rocks and put the first rock into the sling's launching pad in a blink of an eye while Saru seized a weapon from his back satchel, a V-shaped weapon called a boomerang (like our world's boomerangs) and got prepared to throw it. Momotaro and his three friends possessed some weapons that were made from a special but rare magical metal called Urulite and Saru's boomerang was made from it but it was not the only Urulite weapon the four had. Momotaro launched his rocks from his slingshot at the incoming underlings of Daffodil and Nero and drove them back while Saru threw his Urulite weapon. The Urulite boomerang spun and flew at the incoming Snorkies, Nestri Primi, Blue Elves and Yellow Homunculi and knocked some of them down. The boomerang flew round and returned to Saru as though it had a mind. Urulite had special magical properties and one of these was 'imprinting' on an owner, allowing the weapon made from it to recognise its owner sort of like how certain technological devices in our world recognised our faces or fingerprints. And like those devices, Urulite objects will ONLY recognise their owners and will refuse to allow anyone else to use them. If that happened, the weapon will backfire on the attempted user other than its owner, injuring them. If the owner of the weapon dies, ownership will be transferred to a new owner. Then after the boomerang returned to Saru and he caught it, Momotaro commanded Stingray to bolt but some Yellow Homunculi appeared and blocked off the group's escape route. Then some of the male-only creatures pulled out some weapons, swords, daggers and crossbows, and got prepared to fight Momotaro and his group. However, Momotaro had his steed Stingray lash at them and take them out by injuring them with his spearheaded tongue before having him dart off in the opposite direction, resulting in an ensuing chase. Momotaro did not want to kill any of the minions for they were part of Aslan's created world and sentient creatures but he wanted to injure them to stall and impede them. The Peach Elf will ONLY resort to killing is an absolute last resort.

Momotaro, Kiji, Saru and Inu rode on the back of Stingray as the Arrow-Tongue sprinted like a T-Rex with some more minions; several Blue Elves and Nestri Primi gave chase. The chase went up a hill until they finally came to a path made from smooth white cloud 'tarmac' which was solid like the paths on the Land Domain. There, the quartet saw a large cylindrical tower similar to a water tower humans built except this stored another liquid; dumb Sky Whale oil. Immediately, Kiji the Pheasant reached into his back satchel and pulled out his weapon, a sword made from Urulite and built like a katana or samurai sword in our world, the blade glinting in the moon's light and shining a blue-grey colour, the colour of Urulite. The Nestri Primi and Blue Elves pulled out their crossbows and bows and arrows and began to shoot arrows at the group but Momotaro seized another weapon he had, an Urulite-made shield disc, and deflected the arrows. The arrows also struck Stingray and wedged into his hide but they didn't bother him for Arrow-Tongues had VERY thick hides that were impenetrable to basic arrows and spears. This was another reason why Arrow-Tongues were SO dangerous. As soon as Stingray galloped past the Sky Whale oil tower, Kiji drove the blade of his Urulite sword, which would be a magical sword similar to High King Peter's sword Rhindon, or another sword named Excalibur, into the side wall of the tower, opening a gash in the shell and causing a torrent of honey-golden liquid to gush out of the hole. The oil poured onto the white path like a golden waterfall and formed a puddle. The Nestri Primus and Blue Elf chasers' feet made contact with the slippery oil and the brightly coloured amphibious Sea Creatures and Blue Humanoids resembling the small magical humanoids wearing white hats in another world to slip, slide, stumble about and crash into each other. With these chasers stalled, Momotaro and company continued on their steed Stingray.

More Blue Elves, Nestri Primi, Yellow Homunculi and Snorkies appeared and pursued Momotaro and his group. As they continued to rush along the elevated path, Inu the Dog turned to the caged Blue Arcobalenopod and immediately pulled out a weapon of his own, an Urulite bone battle bar. As soon as he had it out of the bag, the Dog flung the bar at the Arcobalenopod's cage in the hopes of damaging it to rescue the large creature, if possible. However, the other Leopard Water Dog, the male, seized it and tried to throw it back at Momotaro and company but because the bone battle bar was made from Urulite and it can ONLY recognise its owner as stated before, the bone bar backfired on the Water Dog; electrical sparks and then a bright white flash exploded violently from the blue-grey stick and made the spotted Water Creature release the weapon. IMMENSE agony ripped through the Water Dog's singed arms and he was flung back into the Arcobalenopod's cage from the force of the explosion, hitting the force field and receiving another NASTY shock. Then Nero and Daffodil looked on at the comrade as he began to release a LOUD shrill of AGONY from his injured hands from attempting to throw the Urulite bone battle stick back at Momotaro and his group, that stick returning to Inu with the metal recognising him. The Talking Dog seized his bone stick and got prepared to use it. More Snorkies appeared before Momotaro and his group and tried to trip Stingray but the Peach Elf knocked them down with his Urulite disc shield and quickly fired more arrows at the attackers. Some of the Snorkies were also either trampled or jabbed by Stingray's trunk-like legs and spearheaded tongue respectively. Then two Snorkies appeared and produced another weapon, phasers. They shot orange beams at Momotaro and company but Momotaro deflected the energy beams back at the Snorkies with his Urulite shield. One Snorky dodged the deflected beam but the other was struck and fried. The other Snorky shot another beam at Momotaro and his group and this time, he managed to hit one of them. The beam slashed through the air and caught Kiji on the right leg as he flew to fire arrows at the chasers, using his feet like arms to handle the archery weapon, making him drop the crossbow and return to Stingray. The Pheasant seized his leg with his wings and squawked in pain. Then another phaser blast hit Saru on the left upper arm and the Macaque screeched in pain and grasped his wound, his teeth gritted and eyes screwed shut. That was when Momotaro made the difficult decision. He threw his Urulite shield at the Snorky armed with the phaser and knocked him down. Then he had Stingray severely wound the Snorky with his tongue the moment he came near and the Arrow-Tongue did that. After this, the group charged on their steed, heading for another forest, this time one made of blue sky lily trees.

Momotaro stopped Stingray and shot the chasers a glare with his three Animal Friends as they also stopped and began to advance on him with their weapons.

"This ends NOW, Peach Elf," snarled one of the Yellow Homunculi and with that, the others got prepared to fire. Stingray hissed at them and snaked his barbed tongue while Momotaro hissed through his gritted teeth. Kiji who grasped his injured leg also hissed while Inu growled and Saru whose left arm was also injured bared his teeth threateningly. The faceoff continued for a while until finally, Momotaro had Inu reach into his back satchel to pull out a vial containing a substance called Blinding Smoke and the Talking Dog did just that. After this, Inu shot a scowl at the foes and threw down the vial. A PUFF sounded and exploding from the point of impact of the vial on the floor a MASSIVE blue-black cloud of smoke so thick that it acted as a smokescreen. Screeches and shouts of frustration exploded from the group of Nestri Primi, Blue Elves, Yellow Homunculi and Snorkies as their bearings were scrambled by the smoke and some bumped into each other. After this, Momotaro barked at Stingray and the Arrow-Tongue took his riders into the blue sky lily tree forest which like the cloud-tree forest cast a dark shadow below their canopy. Moments later, the Blinding Smokescreen began to clear and the Nestri Primi, Blue Elves, Yellow Homunculi and Snorkies got their bearings back but by the time they did, they saw that Momotaro and company had disappeared. One of the Snorkies shot a glare into the black undergrowth of the sky lily tree forest and spotted the four on their Arrow-Tongue steed fleeing into it, their silhouettes just visible in the black shadow of the canopy.

"Call the Flying Carpet users, NOW!" he shouted. Immediately, the Yellow Homunculi and Blue Elves who carried these flying devices pulled them out of their satchels and set them down on the ground. Then as soon as they stepped on top of them, the Flying Carpets levitated into the air and the male Yellow creatures and Blue Humanoids rode off after Momotaro and company fleeing through the lily tree forest. As they flew abreast of the quartet on their Arrow-Tongue steed, they began to fire more arrows and phasers at the group. Momotaro and company dodged and ducked as orange beams of energy slashed through the air and the forest at them accompanied by flying mini-spears. One of the phaser beams struck Stingray on the leg but it didn't bother the Arrow-Tongue for Arrow-Tongues were not only armoured against arrows but phaser beams as well, their hide having special properties against energy beams in addition, like a built-in armour. More phaser shots and arrows flew at Momotaro and company but they either hit the lily trees (with one of them having its stalk completely severed by a phaser beam, causing the massive blue dish to come crashing on top of one of the Carpets carrying two Yellow Homunculi), the ground, Stingray's hide or Momotaro's Urulite shield with the phaser beams getting deflected.

"That Peach Elf and his comrades have an ARROW-TONGUE for their STEED!" snarled one of the phaser-armed Blue Elves, a female, in frustration.

"They're GETTING AWAY!" cried a male Blue Elf on another Flying Carpet.

"Not for long," said his co-rider, a Yellow Homunculus and with that, he reached into his satchel and pulled out another weapon, a red orb. This was an Electroshroom bomb, a bomb made from the caps of Electroshrooms, electrified mushroom-like organisms that grew on the Narnian Moon and zapped any careless prey that crossed the gaps between them such as Jetdarters. As soon as he had the Electroshroom bomb out of his satchel, the Homunculus carefully aimed his throw at Momotaro and his group and immediately tossed the bomb. The red orb flew through the canopy of the lily trees at Momotaro and company's location and moments later, a MASSIVE explosion of lightning bolts erupted, destroying some of the blue sky lily trees and sending parts of them flying everywhere. The Magic Carpet riders levitated towards the impact area which was a hole blasted in the lily tree forest as the lightning bolts vanished, and checked to see if the bomb had succeeded in fatally striking its targets.

In the impact area, the white grass and surrounding blue sky lily trees blackened, smoking and singed from the electrified explosion with many of the sky lily trees missing some of their parts, those parts strewn around the impact area, a mass was visible. The mass moved; Stingray who was wrapped around Momotaro, Kiji, Inu and Saru like a cat and Momotaro's Urulite shield over them like a protective dome then quickly reassembled and began to make their sneaky getaway. Again, Arrow-Tongues were not affected much by Electroshroom electricity though Stingray was dazed and singed from the blast. Although Arrow-Tongues were immune to most elemental blasts, certain blasts like Electroshroom bomb explosions were still capable of stunning and singing them and the foxfire from a Nine-Tailed Fox can kill an Arrow-Tongue almost instantly. Some of Saru and Inu's fur and Kiji's feathers were also singed from the Elestroshroom bomb blast as was Momotaro's orange hair. However, all five had survived and as they made their getaway, Momotaro reached into his back satchel once again and produced a small wood knife which was a piece of very sharp and pointy wood Peach Elves and other Forest dwellers used as either weapons or tools for hunting, in culinary tasks like chopping fruit and meat, and for shaving though one wood knife was used for each task for hygiene reasons. Momotaro quickly shaved off some of his singed hair and some of the singed fur of Inu and Saru and feathers of Kiji, including a tail feather, with their permission with his wood knife. After this, the Peach Elf tossed the singed hair and feathers back at the explosion site and placed his wood knife back into his satchel. This done, the group quickly disappeared with Stingray using his heat vision, another ability Arrow-Tongues had (they could not see in the 'regular' light range humans called visible light) and began to slip away from their chasers. Back at the devastated area, the Blue Elves and Yellow Homunculi continued examining the spot from their Magic Carpets until their eyes landed on a set of blackened feathers, fur and orange hair strewing the patch of blackened ice grass. Upon seeing these and thinking that the Peach Elf, Talking Dog, Macaque and Pheasant were dead, grins formed on their faces and triumphant giggles escaped their mouths. However, they didn't realise they were being tricked and that this was a ruse. Nero and Daffodil, the ANGRY Blue Arcobaelonopod in the force field cage held by some Yellow Homunculi and Snorkies, ready to take back to Asgard Sky City, came in as one of the Blue Elves gave the report.

"The Peach Elf and his comrades are dead, Nero and Daffodil," she said, "It seems that the Electroshroom bomb has done its job well."

"Delicious," Nero spoke wickedly and triumphantly, "At least we won't be on the receiving end of master Kurama's foxfire when we return," he then turned to the Blue Arcobalenopod as the other underlings regrouped, "Let's get this creature back to Asgard Sky City quickly before anyone else catches us."

And with that, the group left, taking the caged Arcobalenopod with them.
