Chapter 18- arrival in the village of Nuvola and at the Seven Sisters' house
I'm SOOO sorry for the LOONG delay in uploading another chapter to this story. Lack of motivation and was very busy
Next morning
Quaoar and company woke at the crack of dawn in and around the Flying Saucer in a white grass field in the Westernmost Skyland. Some of the group members such as Bentley the Giant, Ozone and Glitterwing had spent the night outside. Crimsonandil, Adamans and Iridia had slept in a nearby cloud-tree with Aang, Morla and Moana sleeping under the clove of the strange cloud on a trunk. Those that had chosen to sleep outside had decided to do this for they were reluctant to stay in the Flying Saucer after travelling in it for so long. Quaoar who had slept in the Saucer yawned, stretched and then headed for the exit of the flying vehicle. As the Kitsumiho entered the dawn air, the sky still dark blue for the Narnian sun had not yet appeared and ascended above the eastern Narnian horizon though the light was clearly visible, he began to walk down the ramp. As Quaoar then placed his front paws onto the white grass of the Sky Domain field, some of the other members of the group stirred. Thunderbolt the Raiju who slept near the door, woke up and yawned. Those sleeping outside also woke up and stretched. Bentley raised his trunk-like arms into the air, stretched and yawned. After this, he turned his gaze to the ivory and white spot of Quaoar as he continued to walk along the ice grass.
"I think we should be making our way to the Seven Sisters' village, Quaoar," the Giant said in a low voice. He did not want to speak normally or his thunderous voice would jolt the others awake and they would NOT be very pleased with him.
"Not until everyone else has woken up, Bentley," the Kitsumiho replied, "Plus Xenon will be waking up as well, don't forget."
"Oh, yes, he will be guiding us to where he wants us to go, won't he?" Bentley said, suddenly remembering. Then the Giant released another stretch and yawn and rose to his massive feet, being wary of the still-slumbering white form of Ozone near him. As Bentley was about to walk away, some of the Luminos from Obi Wan's group, together with Gris, came in. They had been out on an early morning hunting and gathering trip and have managed to gather some fruit and hunt some game out in the nearby Sky forest. Some of the game they had managed to catch included Sky Forest Flish and Sky Forest Hexepedal Deer, a species of deer-like creatures that resembled cervids but had six legs, long head tendrils and two large retractable frills resembling large fans with an eyespot on each, and bluish skin streaked with Zebra-like stripes. Like most Sky Domain fauna, the Hexepedal Deer had two forms, a Talking form and the dumb form and the latter was often hunted by Skylanders for game. Gris and his group had managed to catch two of these creatures during their hunt. The creatures were large and required the combined effort of several strong hunters to haul back if they did not have any wheeled container such as a cart on them. Quaoar went to meet them.
"I see you've managed to get us some early breakfast for our first morning in the Sky Domain, Gris," said the Kitsumiho.
"Indeed we have," said Gris as he and his hunting party carried in their catches and gathered fruit. Some of the fruit they had managed to find were Sky apples, fruit which resembled the apples we are familiar with in our world and also on the Land Domain but Sky apples came in a variety of colours not found in their Land Domain counterparts such as silver, purple and blue. Some forms somewhat resembled the apples of the Garden of Youth though they were less pretty than those bauble-like fruits and did not possess magical properties. As Gris and his Lumino group set down their hunted game and gathered fruit and prepared to butcher the Hexapedal Deer carcasses, one of the Luminos, a white one, looked up at Bentley.
"During out hunting trip, we saw a nearby village not too far away and they have a food market. We will need to make purchases as the food we have caught during our hunt will not be enough to feed all of us," he said, "Particularly your Giant friend of yours there. He will need a LOT of food to fill his massive stomach."
"I will arrange a party to head to the village you've managed to find and have them shop at that market," Quaoar replied, "But we will need to convert our lions and trees into the Sky Domain currency of Cumulonimbi and lower values."
"There's also a currency exchange booth in that small village," said another Lumino, a yellow female.
"Where did you find this village?" asked Quaoar. The female yellow Lumino nodded in a certain direction. Quaoar followed her nod and spotted a small cluster of Sky houses, a Sky Domain village, not too far away and close to the forest where Gris and his group went to hunt. The village's buildings were constructed with basic Sky Domain building materials. Unlike Asgard Sky City whose some of its buildings were metallic and futuristic from a human's perspective, these houses and cottages were more basic and were made of common materials such as cloud stones and were drabber in appearance though they were whitish for cloud rocks were commonly this colour. Then Quaoar turned to gaze at Obi Wan and his group and remembered that they, too, had brought some money of theirs from their home, the Narnian Moon. Not only will the Land Domain travellers will need to change their lions to the Sky Domain currency but so will the Narnian Moon travellers, Obi Wan's group. The currency in the Narnian Moon were moon phases consisting of full moons, halves and crescents.
As the rest of the group began to wake up, some of them being woken up by some of those that were already awake with Ozone being awakened by Glitterwing and some of Quaoar's underlings while Gris and his Lumino hunting team butchered the two dumb Hexapedal Deer they had managed to catch by skinning them and then removing the meat. Once they had obtained the meat, they cooked it over a fire built from some cloud stones they had found (cloud stones resembled solid pieces of clouds and were fireproof similar to the rocks on the Land Domain. Aside from being building blocks for the basic Sky Domain houses, they can also be used to make campfires) and a large cooking pot. The fire had been started by Moana the Azure Dragon and Crimsonandil the Vermillion Bird with their fire abilities. Quaoar then set up a party to send to the nearby village to buy some more food for the rest of the group and as he did that, Ozone wearily gazed at the floor with his head bowed while he ate some of the apples gathered by Gris and his Lumino hunting and gathering party.
"I had a horrible dream last night," the Cloud-Man moaned sombrely.
"Really?" asked Morla nearby as he also ate some of the apples, "What about?"
"It was about me and Glitterwing escaping Asgard Sky City like we did in reality but we were caught by Kurama's guards," Ozone explained, "I then saw my family, my wife Aurora, son Snowy and daughter Gypsum get tortured and put to death by Kurama's underlings. Then Kurama struck me with my foxfire and everything went black. That was when I jolted awake, breathing quickly in fright. You were all asleep when I had that nightmare and I was surprised that none of you were stirred when I jolted awake and released a small shriek."
"Funny," said Glitterwing as she also ate some apples. She did not eat any of the Hexapedal Deer meat for Cherubs were naturally vegetarians and ate only fruit, vegetables and insects, "I had a dream about my husband Swift, sister Sparkle and my brother-in-law Zephyr-Gus and our children getting captured and tortured by Kurama as well," the Cherub woman then lowered her head in worry for her family, "I just hope they are alright, especially Zephyr-Gus as he's more timid. Normally Cherub men are warrior-like in their nature and are excellent defenders, especially of their friends and families but that isn't always the case. Zephyr-Gus has often had problems in being brave and Kurama's takeover of our home has not helped either. Some of his underlings had been gnashing at him quite frequently and they have badly affected his confidence."
As she and Ozone continued to grieve and worry for their families, Morla tried to assure them.
"We will deal with this, you two," the Black Tortoise said, "Aslan, the REAL Aslan that is, is with us. He will help us deal with this egregious thing Kurama has set up and liberate Asgard Sky City."
"It's not gonna end well for Kurama, I can tell you," said Ozone with a frown, "Him setting up a cult around a false Lion contrary to his teachings and forcing the citizens of Asgard into following that cult, especially if he has potential plans of expanding it, the Sun Corona Feline will NOT be pleased with him, I can tell you."
"Kurama is a NINE-TAILED KITSUNE," Glitterwing added, "And THEY are SUPPOSED to be LOYAL to the Lion, NOT establishers of a false cult around a FALSE Lion based on some spiritual trip they have had."
Morla nodded in agreement and resumed eating his meal. Quaoar had soon established a shopping party consisting of the Talking Meerkat group, the Scarlet Macaw (whose name was Red and he was Macao's brother), Griffin the Occamy, Spock the Pegasus and Iridia and Adamans the Fenghuang. As soon as they were ready to go to the village, he gave them instructions.
"Make sure you convert that money in those bags to the currency of the Sky Domain first," the Kitsumiho instructed, "Once you have done that, head to the market in that village and buy some food. Once you have got the food, return to us and the rest of us shall have our breakfast."
"Got it, Quaoar," Adamans who will be leading the group replied. Spock and Griffin carried the two large bags filled with lions, the currency of the Land Domain, on their backs. Then some Grey Men from Obi Wan's group came in with the Little Green Man. They, too, had two bags full of money in their currency, the Narnian Moon crescents.
"We're going with Adamans and his group too," said the Green Man, "We need to convert our currency."
Quaoar nodded in acceptance and as soon as the group was ready, they left for the village. After they had gone, the distance-verbal (DV) communicator shuddered and beeped in Quaoar's tails. Immediately, Quaoar took the device out of his tail fur and pressed the answer button. Then he began to speak into it.
"Morning, Quaoar," Xenon spoke on the other end.
"Morning, Xenon," said Quaoar, "Had a good night's sleep?"
"I guess so," Xenon replied, "And you?"
"We did," said Quaoar, "We have finally arrived in the Westernmost Skylands and we're just having breakfast. I have sent some of my group members with some of Obi Wan's to get us some extra food as a group from Obi Wan's has been on a hunting and gathering trip but have not been able to bring back enough food for all of us."
"Okay," Xenon replied, "I'll give you a bit of time to allow you to have your breakfast and once you've finished, call me again and I'll instruct you on how to find the house of the Seven Sisters and their family and friends. They know you're on your way as I have already told them."
"How are you having your breakfast?" asked Quaoar.
"I have mine brought to me," Xenon replied, "How, I cannot tell you. All you need to know is that I am in hiding and I am being looked after. I have to go now. As soon as you have finished your breakfast and are ready to go, call me again, okay?"
"Okay," Quaoar replied and with that, both hung up and Quaoar returned his device into his tails.
Adamans and Iridia's group arrived at the nearby small village, changed their currencies to that of the Sky Domain at the currency-changing booth and then used their newly changed cumulonimbi to buy additional breakfast. This done, they returned to the location of the rest of the group and distributed the food among them and everyone else including Bentley and Ozone had a proper breakfast or additional food to fill their stomachs. Once they had finally finished their breakfast and any leftover food was collected for later consumption to save wastage and anything inedible such as the bones of the Hexapedal Deer were burned by the fire wielders like Moana and Crimsonandil, Quaoar, Obi Wan and their group prepared to move on. Quaoar phoned Xenon through the DV communicator again and the blue Cloud-Man began to direct them to the village of the Seven Sisters.
"They live in a village called Nuvola and they have a massive Sky Whale farm," Xenon told Quaoar, "Their cottage is large as they also help to host Nuvolans that cannot afford their own housing until they can."
Quaoar replied that he got it, hung up and put away his DV communicator into his tails once again. Then he gathered everyone in the group with Obi Wan and the group moved on. The group walked through the forest where Gris and his team did their hunt and then out into a Sky field. They continued across the field until they finally came to the outskirts of the village Xenon described to Quaoar. This village, called Nuvola, was bigger than the little village Adamans and Iridia's group had visited and had more houses and cottages also built from cloud stones. Due to the shapes of their building blocks being ovoid, the houses resembled solid clouds that were hollow in the middle. A sign erected at the outskirts of the bigger village had 'Nuvola' written on it in English and several other languages spoken in the Sky Domain. As the group approached Nuvola, Quaoar and company took in the village's sight and were amazed at how elaborate it was despite being relatively basic.
"That village is somewhat like the smaller villages we have around Asgard Sky City," said Ozone as he took in the appearance of Nuvola. He then saw that the village had a large garden in the middle.
"It's one of the villages that's not been touched by Kurama, thankfully," said Quaoar, "According to Xenon. After all, these are the Westernmost Skylands, directly above the area of the Garden of Youth's region on the Land Domain."
"I think you can get to Asgard Sky City via Nuvola, can't you?" asked Red the Scarlet macaw as he walked alongside Orchid the Golden-Egg Goose and Heather the Gold-Fleeced Ewe.
"You can," said Glitterwing as she walked alongside the much taller Ozone, "There's an express Sky Cart that goes from there to Asgard."
"I reckon that Sky Cart's route to Asgard will have been blocked off by Kurama," said Orchid.
"It will be," said Ozone who towered over Glitterwing, his gaze in the direction of the Sky Cart Station of the village. Sky Cart routes worked like the trains in our world but in the sky. However, they did not have tracks as trains would and they floated between Skyland areas. Pulling their gazes from the village, the group continued towards it.
As soon as they had entered Nuvola and passed through the village's streets, the villagers continuing their usual business, Quaoar and company proceeded in the direction of the Seven Sister Acquas' house. The villagers were of a variety of Sky Domain creatures such as Flying Rods, Cloud-Men, Martlets (Swift-like birds without legs that fly for almost their entire lives, only coming to land to have their eggs) and Great Blue Windrunners. One or two dragon-like creatures called Bat-Bird Winged Dragons were also present. These resembled yellow, orange and red dragons whose wings were a cross between a bird and a bat's but membranous. They possessed a blue blade-like crest their heads which they sometimes used as battling weapons in a fight. They possessed an additional pair of wings which acted as stabilisers as they flew, and true legs. Moana and Naihanchi gazed at one of the magnificent Bat-Bird Winged Dragons as it walked past them in the opposite direction. Bat-Bird Winged Dragons were massive, about the size of a young Cloud-Man and were among the largest flying creatures in the Sky Domain alongside the Sky Whale.
"Bat-Bird Winged Dragons are quite rare, didn't you know," Weywot the Insect Rabbit-Dog spoke nearby, "They can live for several hundred years like your Land Domain's Dinosaurs and some other creatures but they have a slow reproductive rate. Once every few years, a Bat-Bird Winged Dragon, both the Talking and the dumb forms, will only have a clutch of about three or four eggs."
"They also rarely venture to the Land Domain in addition so they are rarely seen down there," added the Little Green Man. Moana and Naihanchi gazed at the large Bat-Bird Winged Dragon as it continued its way before pulling their gazes from the massive Winged Beast and continued their walk.
Quaoar and company continued their walk through Nuvola in the direction of the Seven Sisters' house but as they walked along, some of the villagers began to stop and examine them, a few of them talking. Even the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon that the group past earlier appeared to gaze at them. As this happened, some of the group members began to gaze back at them, some of them unnerved for they disliked being in the spotlight among a sea of eyes.
"Why are they looking at us like that?" asked Thunderbolt the Raiju a little nervously. Near him, Caesium, Spock, Aang and some of the Luminos in Obi Wan's group also flinched as little as the Nuvolans' eyes converged on them. However, many of the eyes were on two particular individuals. Then the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon began to slowly walk towards the group, surprise clearly lacing its face and its eyes (which resembled bird's eyes and it only had two pairs rather than four unlike a similar creature in another world) were fixed on the two members of Quaoar's group.
"Ozone?" the draconic creature with membranous wings, three being shaped like feathers and attached to individual fingers with the fourth supporting the rest of the wing and attached to the body, and clawed thumbs (earning the creature its name of 'Bat-Bird Winged') spoke as it examined the Cloud-Man. Ozone also gazed at the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon in stun.
"Ombro?" he replied. Glitterwing also looked on and the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon, which was a male named Ombro, also examined her.
"And I believe that Cherub woman must be the wife of the Cherub man named Swift," said he. Quaoar then spoke.
"You know these two?" asked the Kitsumiho. Ombro then stopped before him.
"They are two of Asgard Sky City's citizens," explained the magnificent fiery coloured Winged Reptile whose wings resembled a cross between a bird's and a bat's, "And they often visited here with their families."
"We haven't seen those two for more than a year," added one of the other villagers, a Red Flying Rod who hovered nearby with some other Flying Rods, their flight membranes undulating from their heads to their tails.
"We couldn't leave Asgard," explained Ozone, Glitterwing nodding in agreement.
"But where are their spouses and children?" asked a Fairy, a Land Domain visitor like Quaoar and the others apart from Obi Wan's group and Ozone and Glitterwing, when she noticed that Glitterwing and Ozone were by themselves. Quaoar and the others exchanged looks of surprise before Quaoar eyed Ombro.
"I believe you're aware of what's been happening in Asgard Sky City with Kurama and his false Aslan cult, am I right?" the Kitsumiho asked.
"Then how do you Nuvolans know about what Kurama is doing?" asked Naihanchi. Then it dawned upon her. Aang, Morla, Moana, Crimsonandil, Thunderbolt, Adamans and Iridia and Griffin also flinched, as did Quaoar.
"I wonder if the Seven Sister Acquas and their family and friends have told you about the crisis in Asgard," said Aang. A serious look formed on Ombro's face.
"They indeed have," said the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon, "The Kotobuki living with them, Yong Bao, has organised a spy group to send out to the areas of the Skylands around Asgard to spy on the rogue Nine-Tailed Kitsune and his underlings during their trips outside the city. Among them is Momotaro the Peach Elf and his three Talking Animal friends Inu the Dog, Saru the Macaque and Kiji the Pheasant from the Land Domain and the Seven Sister Acquas' father, Cielo, has granted him permission to turn his house into a base for the group. I, too, have organised a spy force at my home to help Yong Bao's underlings in those dangerous tasks; our village leader, a Cloud-Man named Gelo has commanded me to set up my home as a base for our spy team. So far, our spies have brought back reports on the activities of Kurama's underlings. We have been sending spy groups on both day and night missions with the latest spy trip being last night with Momotaro and his three Animal friends on their Arrow-Tongue steed Stingray. They had returned to Cielo's house about two hours before the crack of dawn and they are now analysing the information they have gathered."
"Quite a risky trip to be going at night," said Obi Wan.
"All part of the job, I suppose," said Weywot. Orchid and Heather exchanged looks and shrugged.
"Have they found anything important from the trip?" asked Quaoar. Then Ombro moved.
"I'll have them tell you and your group directly," he said, "But first, let's get you guys to Cielo and his house."
With that, the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon who was part of the inner circle of the village leader, Gelo the Cloud-Man, turned and lead Quaoar and the others in the direction of their destination while one of the Red Flying Rods flew off to tell Gelo of Quaoar's arrival at Ombro's command.
"So who sent you here and how did you find out about Cielo and his family and group?" asked Ombro as he walked alongside Quaoar, his bird/bat hybrid wings folded.
"Xenon, the last surviving member of King Lightning-Bolt the Cloud-Man and his family and his nephew, told us about Cielo and his family and group and also their village," explained Quaoar.
"His entire family has been slaughtered by Kurama and his underlings when they showed their true colours," added Ozone who towered over the smaller creatures, Bentley, who was also huge due to being a Giant, walking alongside him, "Xenon had managed to escape and is the now the sole survivor of the royal family."
"That wicked Kitsune has done a LOT of evil deeds over there," said Ombro disgustedly, "The Seven Sister Acquas, Merope, Electra, Caleano, Maia, Taygeta and Sterope and also Momotaro, have told us. They have been in touch with him through the distance-verbal communicator."
"We also have contact with him via the same route," said Weywot, "Quaoar has the device in his tails," immediately, Quaoar reached into the fur of his tails and pulled out the device to show Ombro who smiled.
"Make sure you keep a hold of that valuable communication device," said he as Quaoar returned it to his tails, "Xenon, though young, knows Asgard Sky City and its surrounding Skylands very well and you will need his help in dealing with the crisis once it is time for you to head there. But first, you need to meet Cielo and his group. They will have more knowledge of the crisis obtained by Yong Bao's spy force to discuss with you."
Quaoar gazed at the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon and continued walking along with him, his group behind him.
After a few minutes, the group arrived at their destination, the house of the Seven Sisters. Some of the group members such as Naihanchi took in the size of the house as well as the massive farm behind it, the Sky Whale farm.
"Here we are," said Ombro and with that, he went to the front door and knocked it, tapping the slab made from the wood of the Sky Domain trees hard enough for it to be heard by the inhabitants living in the house. As he did that, Aang gazed in amazement at the house's size.
"It sure is massive," said the White Tiger, "I think that's why Cielo and his Acqua family have set it up as a base for this Yong Bao guy's spy team?"
"It's where Cielo and his family and extended family lives," explained Ombro, "Cielo's immediate family consisting of his wife, two older sons and the Seven Sisters is large enough as it is but Cielo also has a brother who also has a family of his own. They also use their cottage as a shelter for the homeless and impoverished members in our village..."
Just then the door moved. It opened up and standing in the doorway was a Humanoid figure, an Acqua.
Acquas were Humanoids made of water like an Undine but they had better developed features and constantly kept their shape. Their bodies were transparent, various shades of blue and water-like and they had glowing eyes. Green was the most common eye colour but some Acquas had blue, white and even orange and yellow eyes as well, though the latter two were rarer. Their heads were rounded and sported a spike from the crown pointing up. Two more appendages snaked down from behind their heads. Acquas were sexually dimorphic with the males having board torsos similar to a human male or Son of Adam, and spikes on their shoulders and hips, and the females bearing slimmer builds with hip spikes pointing downward. The Acqua's hands and feet bore three digits with their hands resembling the claws of a crab. The native home of the Acqua was the Abyssal Domain at the bottom of the Eastern Ocean, mostly the undersea city of Atlantis, the Sky Domain's equivalent to Asgard Sky City but some Acquas also chose the Narnian Moon, the Sky Domain and even the Land Domain as their home as well. They possessed magical abilities like the common telekinesis and morphing their limbs into tools to perform tasks such as menial tasks or for combat purposes. This morphing ability saves the Acquas from having to use actual tools and weapons though some preferred to use them anyway. The Acqua standing before Ombro was a young female indicated by her slimmer build and pointing-down hip spikes. When her glowing eyes, coloured green, landed on Quaoar and company standing with the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon, she immediately recognised them, especially the Kitsumiho.
"I believe that's the Nine-Tailed Hybrid Fox Xenon was telling us about and was on his way to here, am I right?" she spoke.
"Correct," said Quaoar before he introduced the female Acqua to his accompaniers, "These are some of my helpers such as Naihanchi, the Nekomata here; Crimsonadil the Vermillion Bird, Moana the Azure Dragoness, Aang the White Tiger and Moral the Black Tortoise."
"We have come here from the Land Domain and Xenon directed us to go to your house," added Naihanchi.
"I have brought them here when they arrived in our village, Merope," said Ombro. The female Acqua who was one of the Seven Sisters named Merope then turned round and called for someone else in the house, a servant who helped with the household chores, "Glint, can you fetch Father please? Ombro has arrived with our expected visitors."
Heather peered over Merope's shoulder and saw a bright Yellow Flying Rod hover down the corridor gazing at Merope before it flew off to carry out the task the Acqua had given her. Merope then turned back to Quaoar and company and Ombro, a sombre look on her face.
"It's HONESTLY terrible what has happened in Asgard, I can tell you," said she, "Especially what Kurama has done to it during his takeover. He's slaughtered poor Xenon's family... locked everyone in the city, both citizens and visitors from the outside, in an Incluser Bubble-type trap and has practically rigged the entire system to suit his cult. He is practically forcing EVERYONE to worship and serve this false Aslan and not the REAL Aslan with terrible implications..."
"It's dangerous to speak against or question Kurama's cult as well," said Ozone, "Many have been tortured and even killed for it."
"As well as attempt to escape," put in Glitterwing, "Ozone and I have barely managted to escape with our lives to seek help."
Merope them looked up and when she saw the Cloud-Man and Cherub woman, she flinched in UTMOST astonishment.
"How did you to manage to escape that metaphorical Incluser Bubble Kurama has enclosed Asgard Sky City!?" she asked.
"It's a long story," said Glitterwing before her head lowered, "We had help from our own families and after a number of failed attempts in which we got caught and tortured, we made it in the end, thank the REAL Aslan."
"Now we worry for our families especially our children," said Ozone as thoughts for his family flashed in his mind. He then turned to Glitterwing, "Swift, the husband of Glitterwing here, had insisted that she be the one to escape for the sake of their children rather than him for he is FAR better at defending the children than she is..."
"Children are almost always the ones to suffer most in these egregious cults," said Ombro, "Especially if they are based around a false Aslan."
Quaoar, Obi Wan and the others couldn't agree more and nodded to show this. Merope continued.
"I don't know if Ombro has already told you but he and Yong Bao the Kotobuki have been sending spy groups to Asgard and the areas around it within a few dekas (a measurement most Narnians used rather than the humans' standard metre system; one deka is about a kilometre) radius to investigate what Kurama's minions are up to."
"Indeed," Ombro continued, "And the reports they have brought back have been UTTERLY horrible."
"Have any of your spy groups actually managed to get close to Asgard Sky City's vicinity?" asked Quaoar.
"A risky thing to attempt," said Ozone, "Kurama has a LOT of dangerous guards stationed around the whole area."
"Anyone spotted is immediately killed," added Glitterwing.
"Some Martlets, Yatagarasu, Jaculi, (singular: Jaculus. They were a type of flying Snake with wings and legs and flew fast like spears) and Deathgleaners lead by a Wapaloosie (forest-dwelling rodents with slender bodies that is raised in the middle and possessing birds' legs and a spiky tail. They moved in a caterpillar-like fashion) from my group has," Ombro explained, "They came within less than a deka of Asgard's outskirts. However, they had to beat a hasty retreat when some of Kurama's guard forces spotted them and drove them off. The Wapaloosie leader, Raterpillar, suffered serious injuries to his body from the top of his humped torso downward from an Electroshroom bomb blast thrown by those guards and is now in our medical building being seen to."
Obi Wan and his group flinched when they heard this.
"INCREDIBLY dangerous weapons, Electroshroom bombs," said Weywot, "They can do a LOT of damage indeed from the electrical blasts they release when they explode."
"Momotaro and his group who live with us have managed to barely escape an Electroshroom bomb blast last night during their spy trip," Merope explained, "But that was because they had their Arrow-Tongue, Stingray, with them, and Arrow-Tongues are immune to most elemental blasts though the blast from an Eloectroshroom bomb can still stun them. Raterpillar, however, hadn't been as fortunate and took an almost direct hit."
"Did Raterpillar's team bring back anything important?" asked Naihanchi. Just then the Yellow Flying Rod named Glint and a dark blue Martlet appeared in the corridor behind Merope. Behind them was an older male Acqua based on his broader torso and spikes on his hips and shoulders. As soon as he saw Quaoar and company, he commanded Merope inside to call for the female members of the family as well as the servants while he took over. Merope obediently turned and left with the Yellow Flying Rod and the Martlet to carry out the command. Then the male Acqua, clearly the head of the house named Cielo, welcomed Quaoar and company.
"Thanks for coming, Quaoar," he said delightfully, "Xenon has let us know that you were on your way here," he then turned to the Bat-Bird Winged Dragon, "And I thank you, Ombro, for escorting him and his group through Nuvola to here."
"It's a pleasure, Cielo," Ombro replied politely, "Now if you don't mind, I'll let you take things with Quaoar and his group from here as I have to return to Gelo's Leader's Building to sort out some information our spy force has managed to gather, as well as check on Raterpillar the Wapaloosie in the medical building."
Then after saying goodbye and thank you to Ombro, Quaoar and his group entered into Cielo's building while Ombro turned round and headed back to his destination.
