At least he had managed to gather all the sisters in the living room, the problem most weren't interested in studying.

"Why did you took me jersey"

"Huh? didn't wanted to make my clothes dirty while cooking"

"Eating make me want to go to bed"

Said the girl that just woke up to eat, and speaking of eating Itsuki was looking like a chipmunk with the pace she was eating cookies while she was rechecking some notes.

"Look kiyomaro-san I'm filling the test" Kiyomaro had written some questions for Yotsuba like he had done for Itsuki yesterday, the questions he gave her were around the same level that he gave Itsuki.

"You only wrote your name." It has been around 10 minutes since he gave the paper to Yotusuba but it was practically empty. "Itsuki, did you finish the questions I gave you yesterday?"

"Yes! Here it is" she excitedly passed Kiyomaro the questions he had given her yesterday.

"Yotsuba give me a moment and I'll go with you" He took of the tap of his marker and after looking after looking at the paper he grade it and give it back to Itsuki "you have three wrongs, I wrote some advice check them again"

"I see, I'll do them again" to which Kiyomaro also handed her another page.

"And use another page, sometimes it is good to see past mistakes" after that turned to see Yotsuba just looking at the page going over the questions over and over again, some were answered but it seems she already reached her limit "Yotsuba, which problem are you stuck in?"

"Haha, most of them. Ah but i can understand them better than in class at least"

"Because I lowered the bar to middle school"

"Ooh" Yotsuba was surprised over how much attention he was putting in her.

"So are you saying we are as dumb as a middle schooler?" Nino interjected that it seems she didn't take well Kiyomaro's comment, she had stopped the chat she was having with Miku.

"I didn't say dumb" Kiyomaro just looked directly at Nino, trying his best to not let his temperament get the better of him, first she doesn't participate then she interrupts "but yesterday with Itsuki we found that her foundation are shaky at best so until that's gets better we'll repass middle school. Since I wasn't prepare for five people I'll use her as a margin for now"

"Mhn! you just started and already have a favorite?"

"No, I just have the ones that are willing to study and one's that not"

They just looked directly at each other. Neither Kiyomaro or Nino said another word, they clearly didn't have the best opinion of the one on the other side of the stare.

"Takamine-san, can you help with this" Yotsuba broke the ice bringing the young tutor's attention back to her.

"Takamine-kun, I fixed the mistakes!" At that Itsuki added herself now wearing some red glasses.

At the intervention of the two sisters the mood in the room returned to how it was before Kiyomaro and Nino little quarrel.

"Mmmm it seems you're quite good at this teacher thing" Ichika had risen from the table she was using to rest her head and was giving Kiyomaro an inquisitive look.

"This is my first time Tutoring as a job but I used to help my friends in middle school"

"Mmmm"

"What? you want to study now"

"I'll pass for today, I'm too sleepy to think" at that she put her head in miku shoulder using her as a sort of cushion, Kiyomaro was feeling a little envy at how lax Ichika was, the sleep was already catching up to him and he didn't think the tutoring class was going to be so exhausting so he didn't thought of buying a energy drink on the way here. Kiyomaro was regretting that decision.

When Ichika let out a yawn while accommodating in Miku's shoulder, Kiyomaro couldn't help but to yawn too, they really were contagious. Kiyomaro managed to stop himself mid yawn and looked around embarrassed only to see Ichika with a teasing smile.

"I can lend you my bed if you want."

"No thank you. I'll sleep in my house"

"Then why don't you eat some cookies?" Nino came closer to Kiyomaro "a little sugar would help you to stay awake."

"Huh?" Kiyomaro was honestly confused before she only wanted him out but now she is friendly.

"Let's do this you eat some of my cookies and I wouldn't mind studying"

He thought it for a little while it was all around suspicious but it was also an offer to make his job easier. He also had seen all the sisters eat the cookies so the chances of them having something was low. He was clearly overthinking and Kiyomaro knew it 'they're just normal girls, a little too tedious and stubborn but they're normal girls of my age' Kiyomaro still had a cautious attitude, remains of the Mamodo battle were a new friend's would ended up being also part of said battle and turn into a enemy in the blink of an eye.

Kiyomaro just to be sure took some cookies from the same plate where Itsuki was eating them, she had eaten the most so it was the safest choice, while Itsuki gave him a sad look, did she think that the whole plate was for her? "Mmm they're good" it was an honest praise, Kiyomaro honestly thought the cookies were good.

"That's good, now honestly we don't need a tutor" She turned serious again all of the sudden.

"..."

"Just kidding, here have some water" With another change of mood she handed him a glass of water.

Kiyamaro just looked at the recently handed glass of water, this Nino girl attitude has been so erratic, that it only leaves Kiyomaro more confused than before 'what happened that they seem to hate studying so much, but just to be sure does this water have something?' upon meeting these sisters the last two days he already had used Answer-talker more times than last month but contrary to the cookies which have been shared this water was brought only to him by Nino [A sleeping pill] "..." the answer honestly disappointed him but made him wonder how much did she distrust him to reach this low "maybe that's the case for you but at least two of your sister's need my help".

At that Kiyomaro lowered the glass of water and looked straight at Nino, she returned the look trying the best she could not to break face while giving quick glances at the glass of water.

"I'm sorry but I could ask for a cup of coffee. It would be better to push away the sleep" Kiyomaro changed the theme.

"Ah! I'll go, how much sugar?" Yotsuba said while rising from her seat, she most likely wanted a little rest from studying.

"black is fine"

"Wuah, mature"

"Is not that I drink it like that always, is just I really need the caffeine kick today"

"Honestly Takamine-kun what keep you awake last night you're not setting a good example as a tutor"

"Itsuki I don't think is a good idea to ask a teenager what he does at night"

"Uh? why miku?" Miku's face got red at the honest question Itsuki gave her.

"Haha, Itsuki-chan come here" at Ichika's request Itsuki come close to her sis "Whisper,whisper" Itsuki face quickly became red, whatever she said was something not good and honestly Kiyomaro didn't want to use answer-talker for this.

"Takamine-kun you're at that age it's understandable but don't over do it, sleep is also important" she tried really hard to appear mature but it was clear she wasn't comfortable with the theme.

"First don't give her weird ideas" he gave Ichika a side eye, she just pulled her tongue out "second is not like that, I just got interested in a weird new's a friend gave me and lost time"

"What kind of news?" It was the first time Miku had talked to him since she had accused him of stealing her jersey.

"It seems someone has been stealing old artifacts and desecrating old graves, the weird thing is that there's no connection. All the places are countries or continents apart" while saying that Kiyomaro looked through his bag and found the map he had been working on all night. Kiyomaro thought going to the school library and advance a little there but the sleep make him go to the infirmary instead, he sprayed over the table in the space that didn't interrupt Itsuki or Yotsuba studies "here see, it has the places and dates market, it's all over the place"

"It could be a coincidence. It is not like stealing is something only a person can do" Miku was looking at the map of the world with places marked in red circles with a date next to it.

"Yes tomb raiders are nothing new but the weird thing is the testimonies all said the same thing: a giant figure with a small black figure next to it" He omitted anything that revolved around the chance of the figure being a Mamodo.

"It sounds like the average internet made up story" Miku was giving him a face of 'you really fell for something like this?'.

"I know I also thought the same thing upon hearing it but that friend has a sense for this things, It hasn't let me down yet"

"Mmm" Miku was lost in thought for a while looking at the map "nope, nothing is just gibberish to me"

"Takamine-san here!" Yotsuba brought him the coffee, unlike her other sister she had always been helpful, so kiyomaro just took a sip without giving much thought.

"Now, enough break. Yotsuba where do you need help" with that his attention went back to Yotsuba who gave the paper a troublesome expression.

"Hey don't ignore me" Nino brought back the attention to herself, she didn't expect her plan to fail and now this guy was getting friendly with sisters.

"Right you said you'll study if I eat some of your cookies" with that he brought another cookie to his mouth making the point clear "I'm with Yotsuba now so bring your study material while I finish here" Kiyomaro new he was being petty but this girl had been a pain in the ass the whole study session.

"Nnn like hell i'll study with you, you nerd" with that Nino went upstairs and slammed the door of her room.

"Aaa you make Nino mad" Ichika give Kiyomaro a flick in his forehead "that's for bullying my little sister"

With a sigh Kiyomaro rubbed his fore "I guess I did show my worse side"

"If you know you did wrong then you know what you'll have to do next"

"She wasn't being the nicest, you know"

"Mm" Ichika made the gesture with her hand that she was going to give him another flick.

"But i'll apologize"

"Big sis is proud"

After that the study session went on for another hour. Ichika and Miku at some point went to their rooms leaving only the sisters that tried to study from the beginning.

"I guess this is it for today, like yesterday I made questions for Itsuki to help you repass nothing too heavy and Yotsuba I'll leave you some memo's you have a weaker base than Itsuki so let's reinforce that first."

"Yes!"

"Understood…." Itsuki seemed to have something to say but she kept it down, then turned to see her new tutor waiting for her to continue talking "do you mind if I ask about what happened in class? Like the things I have a problem with."

"Sure no problem but it wouldn't be a problem for you? to come and go between every class?" maybe kiyomaro wasn't the best example to say it. but he really thought that Itsuki should also get along with her classmates.

Itsuki just gave him a cold look "we are in the same class you know."

"We are?" Then he started thinking the teacher had presented a transfer student early on but Kiyomaro only in his head was the map and how to make sense of it "oh! you're right! We are!"

"That map is really that important? I'm worried now if our tutor grade's start's to go down for something like that"

"Hahaha, don't worry about it, I did pay attention to class while working on it, after all I answered all your questions about today didn't I?"

"You can play in class and still learn, that's amazing Kiyomaro-san" Yotsuba looked at him with shiny eyes, probably thinking about playing some mobile game with the teacher as backroom noise.

"You make it sound easy" she was pouting right now.

"Haha" kiyomaro just let out a light laugh and scratched his cheek "everyone has its own pace what's matters is not giving up, you two are at least doing great in that regard"

Yotsuba and Itsuki stayed quiet after that.

"Well I'll go, see you tomorrow"

"Ah! See you tomorrow Takamine-san!"

"Goodbye Takamine-kun"

After seeing goodbye to their new tutor the two sisters went back to their room.

Itsuki had what kiyomaro said in her head 'what's matters is not giving up, you two are at least doing great in that regard' most of the tutors they have, would only look at the results or lack of thereof but not the effort behind, it was still to early to tell but she hoped that this time Kiyomaro managed to truly help her and her sister's.

Kiyomaro on his way home was thinking about the studying session trying to think which should be the better way to teach them, at least the two out of five student's he got.

He was also thinking his wrongs entering into Ichika room had been a mistake, he went in without her permission and saw more than he should have, which made kiyomaro face got redder, he was thankful the oldest quint didn't take it wrong, her calling their dad would be game over for this job.

Then there was Nino, unlike with Ichika which have been combinations of factors, she did try to drug him and he acted on purpose to get on her nerves.

Then Miku who showed no interest in studying or him, well at least until he pulled the map but that doesn't help, he wasn't there to share hobbies he was there to teach them.

Then kiyomaro got thinking about what they talked about right before leaving, how Yotsuba and Itsuki reacted about him still learning while doing something else.

remembering the envy of his friends in middle school when he got better grades while not putting all of him in the present subject and how those emotions got darker over time but those sisters didn't have any negative feelings towards kiyomaro after hearing that. Yotsuba had admiration it seemed, and Itsuki pouted but that was about it.

"They're nice people" just because one person is good doesn't mean their brother is also going to be good person but "I'll help those sisters how I can, after all it would be sad for them if one got held back" he remembered how sad had been the goodbyes between koruru and her bookkeeper which were practically like sisters.

It was clear they were close, in just this afternoon he had seen them chat, discuss, eat together, talk about menial things, share a laugh. It may be stating the obvious but they were a family and they deserved to move forward like one. Having one stay behind for something like a bad grade was just tragic.

With that something an idea came to kiyomaro

"Well tomorrow is tomorrow."
