Pink Frog Hunting for Responsibility
The scene shows the night sky with a red crescent moon and a large dragonfly buzzing in the air, and going down to show a wooden building that appears to be a restaurant and one frog-like short man came out.
"Goodnight, you frogs! See you in the morrow." The one-eyed frog said.
This frog is known as One-Eyed Wally, he's a turquoise frog with a pale lilac tongue, a dark turquoise bang, long dark turquoise hair, and a small turquoise beard. As his nickname implies, one of his yellow eyes is always closed with blue-violet eyelids. He wears a flat broad-brimmed dark blue-violet hat with a low top, decorated with a red reed (cattail) sticking out of it with two narrow green leaves. His clothes are black denim shorts with an open indigo vest and an old, stitched scarf, one half of which is red and the other orange. The nose of the right boot is torn off, as a result of which the front half of Wally's right foot is exposed.
Wally bumps into some barrels making the other frog men laugh at him, but he didn't mind.
Wally makes his way through a path heading home for the night, but then he heard something.
"Hello?" Wally called out, but no respond.
Then came the ominous wind.
"What's that?" Wally asked spook.
Then two mysterious creatures pop out of some bushes behind Wally with glowing white eyes.
"AAH! No no no no! NOOO!" Wally screamed and ran away for his life.
"Hey wait, we need… help." Anne called out as the "mysterious creatures" Wally saw were her and Crash.
(Morning)
The town called Wartwood Swamp is a countryside town home of many small anthro frogs trying to make the most of their lives since it was founded centuries ago, it's peaceful and calming for the most part if you don't mind suddenly being taken away by a giant dragonfly.
A frog family of three just pulled over at the marker of Wartwood from riding a slug pulling the wagon.
"All right, kids I'm gonna do a little shoppin'. You watch the cart." The elderly man frog said.
He's Hopediah Plantar or call him Hop Pop for short. He is an elderly anthropomorphic frog of small stature. He has mostly reddish-orange skin with a light underbelly. His casual frog-like body structure consists of slightly reddish-orange eyes with black pupils, a dark green tongue, four short limbs with four-fingered hands, and two-toed feet and white tufts of hair on the sides of his head. He wears a grayish-green waistcoat with a buttoned yellow shirt and light blue ascot, grayish-brown trousers, and light brown socks resembling spats that slightly cover his feet.
"You got it, Hop Pop! I'll defend this cart with my LIIIIIIIFE!" The pink frog boy said pounding his chest like a gorilla.
This energetic pink frog is Sprig Plantar. He has hot pink skin, with a paler pink shaded underbelly, and a dark forest green hat. He wears a dark forest green hat, with golden buttons, with light green goggles and a sleeveless jacket paired with black shorts.
"Sprig, I was talking to Polly." Hop Pop clarified who he was talking to.
"What? Polly's a baby!" Sprig pointed out.
"You're a baby!" Polly talked back.
Polly resembles a real-life tadpole, albeit she has arms instead of legs and is more globular in appearance. She also has a blue tongue rather than green. She also sports dark purple irises. She is also within a wooden bucket filled with water held together by a cylindrical steel frame. She wears a cute yellow bow with lighter white/yellow polka dots.
"Polly's got more responsibility in her little flipper than you have in your entire body!" Hop Pop stated.
"Ridiculous. What makes you think I'm irresponsible?" Sprig asked, refusing to believe this nonsense.
"Oh gee, let me think." Hop Pop started to bring up the times when Sprig was being irresponsible.
(Flashback 1)
While Hop Pop is chopping up some carrots, Sprig opened the pot to see how's dinner looking only for the dinner inside the pot to suddenly explode with the liquid substances splattering all over the kitchen.
"Oops." Sprig said.
(Flashback 2)
Hop Pop was having a peaceful sleep until Sprig riding a worm-cow suddenly came in bursting through the wall and all three screamed.
(Flashback 3)
"Sprig, what did I tell you about leaving the lights on?!" Hop Pop shouted with the scene showing the outside of the Plantar's house.
Then two giant fireflies came in bumping onto the house with the family screaming for their life.
(Present)
"Okay. So yesterday was a bad day." Sprig admitted, which proves the grandpa's point as he hops off the cart.
"Polly, make sure Sprig stays in the cart." Hop Pop instructed.
"Well, how do you do, Mrs. Jonkins?" Hop Pop greeted a friend as he goes into the Grub & Go store.
"Wish there was a way to prove I'm not such a goof-up." Sprig sighed, Polly can tell that her big brother was just trying to liven things up, even if most of them did almost get them kill.
Suddenly, the Plantar kids and the other town folks heard screaming coming from Wally running into the area.
"Monsters! Th-there're two monsters in the woods! I seen them! I seen them!" Wally shouted, everyone gathers to meet Wally and one of them includes the mayor of Wartwood.
"Now, simmer down Wally. Just tell us what you saw." Mayor Toadstool said.
Mayor Toadstool is a large light green toad. He wears a maroon jacket with dark elbow patches and gold designs on the edges over a white undershirt. He also wears a lilac cravat, puffy dark gray pants, and dark brown shoes. He has 5 gold rings, 2 of which have red gemstones and one of which has a light blue gemstone.
"Oh, it was horrifying. One of them had a huge head. Both have weird, stubby bumps right in the middle of their face and long spindly limbs! They even had these little faces around their necks!" Wally described the beasts using leaves and sticks for reference, and the villagers gasped in horror.
"We better catch this beast before it hurts somebody. Because for Mayor Toadstool, your safety comes first." Toadstool smirked, also trying to get votes for an upcoming election.
"Well, it's the responsible thing to do." Wally said as the other villagers also agreed.
Hearing everyone saying about stopping these beasts is the responsible thing to do, and if that's true then this will definitely help Sprig prove to his grandpa that he is a responsible frog.
"Polly, I just had a great idea. I am going to catch that beast and save the town." Sprig decided as he was about to hop out of the cart.
"Stop right there!" Polly held up one flipper at her big brother.
"Hop Pop said that you had to stay in this cart. You know you can't take me!" Polly growled while flexing her muscles.
Sprig grunts in frustration, but luckily for him, he knows just how to get past her.
"Oh, oh, Polly, look. Candy!" Sprig pulled out several pieces of candy from his shirt and drop them as he blew a raspberry.
"Bribe accepted!" Polly immediately started eating the candy.
"Let the monster hunt begin!" Sprig declared as he hops into the forest.
"Don't die!" Polly shouted. She does not want to be responsible for Sprig if he dies.
Sprig is hoping through the woods, going deeper within the forest, as he hops onto some trees and slides down a brake and eats a bug along the way to keep his fuel up. He stops at one spot with his slingshot ready for action, but no danger just yet.
Sprig looks down seeing what appears to be a big footprint unlike anything he ever saw.
"Seems like the beast roams these parts. Probably a good place for a tra-aaAAAAHHH!" Sprig screamed as he suddenly found himself caught in a rope trap and now hanging upside-down.
Sprig heard something that is coming from the bushes and look up seeing what's about to come out, and those "beasts" are none other than Anne and Crash.
"Caught ya! Thought you got the best of ol' Anne, eh? Well, you didn't!" Anne chuckled as Crash made a sound for victory.
"Giant head! Spindly limbs! Face bump! Little heads on their necks! THE BEEEEAASST!" Sprig screamed of realization while Crash looks at him closer.
Crash look at Anne gibberish talking to her about this pink frog.
"A little kid that tried to hunt us, Crash!" Anne pointed out.
"I have bad news for you, Ms. Beast! I taste terrible!" Sprig stated.
"Ew, we are not gonna eat you." Anne said as Crash shook his head.
"You tried to eat Wally!" Sprig pointed out, and Crash gibberish to him.
"I have no idea what you just said, but I hope it's not about how to cook me." Sprig glared.
"Dude, I just said we're not going to eat you! And Crash just asks if this "Wally" guy is the one-eyed frog who ran off screaming the second he saw us." Anne translated.
"Oh, yeah, that does sound like Wally." Sprig said.
But a loud monstrous roar can be heard and crashing sounds erupted from far behind them as they saw tall lily pad trees fall as if they were pushed down.
"It's coming back!" Anne panicked and quickly ran off.
"What is? Where is she going?" Sprig asked panicking as well.
Crash quickly took one strong bite on the rope freeing the pink frog boy and carry him in his arm to run catching up to Anne.
"Why did you let him go?" Anne asked. Crash responded with a blabbering question if she would leave someone to die.
"Okay, you made your point." Anne groaned.
The two humans and Sprig quickly hide inside an empty log and peek through the holes to see a giant red mantis passing by the log and just continuing through the woods on a rampage.
All three of them sigh in relief and Crash gibberish to Sprig.
"He's asking if you're okay." Anne translated.
"Yeah, I'm okay since you saved me. You're not a beast at all! You're a hero! An ugly, ugly, ugly hero!" Sprig complimented in a way.
"Crash here always have a big heart like that, which is why he's a great boyfriend to have." Anne smiled and kissed his cheek making Crash blush.
"Oh, you two are a couple? How sweet!" Sprig smiled, finding these two adorable just now.
"So, you strangers got a name?" Sprig asked.
"I'm Anne Boonchuy, and this is my boyfriend Crash Bandicoot." Anne introduced herself and Crash.
"I'm Sprig Plantar! Put 'er there!" Sprig held out his hands to both of them.
Crash and Anne took his hands to shake, but just felt something gross seeing slam on them.
"So... your hand just barfed on my hand." Anne commented and Crash gibberish to her about something from their past.
"Yeah, it does remind me of that prank we did last year." Anne chuckled.
"Hey, how come he makes those weird noises from his mouth, and you can understand him?" Sprig asked.
"He has a big speaking disorder that he can't talk like normal people, just the weird gibberish talking he does. It takes a while to understand him fully, but you somehow get around to know what he's saying like for me." Anne explained.
And then their stomachs started growling and Crash looks at Sprig pointing at his stomach.
"Well, I do understand that and there's plenty to eat here." Sprig lifted a driftwood showing some bugs crawling around.
"Well, Crash is okay with eating bugs, but maybe something for me that aren't bugs." Anne grossed out of the bugs, remembering how she had to eat a few with Crash just to survive this crazy world for the past two weeks.
"No bugs, eh? We'll have to hunt around a bit. C'mon! Follow me!" Sprig suggested and ran out of the wagon.
"How do I know I can trust you?" Anne asked.
"Whaaat? Does this look like a face that could deceive you?" Sprig asked, showing his adorable face.
Crash found that adorable while Anne decided to trust the little pink frog dude, and they go out hunting food for Anne to fight.

Hop Pop has just finished his shopping and saw the villagers and the mayor chanting "Kill it" probably means they're going out hunting for something.
"Heh. Another day, another mob." Hop Pop chuckled and walked over to the wagon.
"Come on kids, time to- What the?!" Hop Pop shocked when seeing there is only Polly in the wagon and appear to have eaten some candy.
"I don't have a candy problem! You have a candy problem!" Polly shouted. It doesn't help that she has candy stuff around her lips.
"Polly, where's Sprig?" Hop Pop asked worry.
"Uh... something-something monster, something-something woods." Polly answered the best she could but can't remember right due to enjoying the candy.
"Oh, if your boy went into the woods, he's as good as eaten. That beast will devour everything in its path." Wally warned, making the villagers fear.
"Not on my watch!" Hop Pop determined to go save his grandson no matter the danger, he picks up Polly and jumps off the wagon.
"Hang in there boy! Hop Pop's a-comin'!" Hop Pop shouted as he placed Polly on his head and ran into the forest.
The other villagers decided to follow the elderly frog as they want to help kill the monsters in the forest so that they won't be able to fear anything again for a long while.
"Harvest the toenails for medicinal purposes!" Wally shouted.
(With Crash, Anne, and Sprig)
Sprig dump some food he and Crash found together, even though Anne hesitated to eat some of this at first, she gave one a try and found the taste to be actually good.
"Hey, this is pretty good." Anne smiled.
Crash start eating some of the food as well and gave Sprig a smile with a thumbs up.
"So, first question: What the heck are you two, and where did you come from?!" Sprig asked in shock.
"Well, we're called humans and I come from... another world!" Anne said dramatically at the end and Crash made an explosion sound for the "Mind Blown" motion.
"Woooow... do you know how you got here?" Sprig asked again and Crash answer in his gibberish tone.
"He said we're still trying to figure that out ourselves. One minute, we were hanging out at a park with our friends and the next thing we knew, we're here by a strange color light." Anne translated.
"All we're trying to do is go home." Anne hugged her knees and Crash comfort his girlfriend.
"So, what about you? What were you doing in the woods?" Anne asked.
"Proving that I'm responsible!" Sprig asked.
"Oh yeah, how?" Anne asked again, but Sprig hesitated about telling him that he was trying to hunt the beasts which are his two new friends just now.
"There they are!" Wally shouted.
Suddenly all the villagers of Wartwood came into the scene to capture with rope, but Crash wouldn't let that happen as he tosses Anne and Sprig in the air and spin around knocking away the ropes and pitchforks.
"This monster is too powerful!" Mayor Toadstool gasped.
Crash quickly caught Anne and Sprig while giving the latter a raised eyebrow with some gibbering talk.
"He asked if this is because we scared Wally last night." Anne said.
"Yup." Sprig nodded.
Suddenly they heard a roar they turn to see a giant green mantis roaring at them.
"Hurry! Everyone! Mantis formation!" Toadstool ordered and everyone got into information hoping to scare the green mantis away, and it looked like it worked because the green mantis walk away.
"We scared it off!" The villagers a short victory until a bigger mantis came in and this one is red like the one the three kids were hiding earlier.
"Nope. that scared it off." Polly pointed out.
"Yeah, that makes more sense." Hop Pop agreed.
While everybody started screaming in fear, Crash put up a brave face and jumps to battle the mantis monster.
Crash moves around to dodge its blade-arms and jump to throw some punches in the stomach then jump onto one of its legs to for a boost in order to jump higher at the head with a strong punch making it stumble back while the frog people are amazed of how that little beast is fighting off the bigger one.
But when Crash jumps out of the way from another attack, the giant red mantis threw another one that he didn't see coming, but Anne steps in stopping its attack with her hands and unknowing that her eyes are faintly glowing blue. The mantis tries to use its other arm to attack, but one rock was launched at its eye by Sprig and his slingshot.
Crash uses this opportunity to attack the mantis attack throwing some hard strikes on the body then slam both hands onto the head hard enough to knock it unconscious.
Crash let out a victory scream as Anne smile, glad that fight is over.

Anne and Crash have stumbled upon the frog people of Wartwood being accused as monsters, but they have managed to befriended Sprig as well. Oh, and in case you guys didn't catch this: Anne and Crash have become boyfriend and girlfriend during their unexpected stay in Amphibia!
