Hey everyone I'm back, sorry updates might be a bit slower than in the past, my D key has finally given up on me. I'm currently using an external keyboard but I have to come out to the kitchen whenever I want to use it to write. Normally I would write on my bed with my laptop on my lap but I can't do that at the moment. If I put the keyboard ontop of my laptop it presses down on the keys on the laptop messing things up.

But I won't let this stop me, I'll write when I can.

Has the *** father attacked the MC openly, in the middle of the street?

When I see such things in stories, I never know either consider characters super idiots, or writer writing incoherent things

I don't know "exactly" how much your stories fit with HP's original setting, but is sad that the 3 of them MC can't use the medical registers as evidence to press charges, or the non-human features would be discovered

me: Yeah he attacked her in broad daylight, he's stupid. I'm using it for the plot you'll see, And yeah it sucks but Ember won't risk putting her family in danger.

Onto the story

Jasper stormed through the halls of the Ministry of Magic furiously, a few people took one look at her face and moved out of the way of the furious woman. She was a woman on a mission, the mission being her pressing charges against James Potter for daring to lay hands on her diamond.

He dared to harm her diamond, her creator, she would not allow him to get away with this. If it had not been for the healers giving her potions then her arm would be black and blue right now, she would make an example out of this sorry excuse for a man, and she would make sure that everyone else would be too scared to even think of harming her diamond ever again.

She walked up to the receptionist outside of Madam Bones's office, the girl took one look at Jaspers's face and squeaked.

"She's expecting you." The poor girl was clearly overwhelmed by the amount of anger on Jasper's face. Honestly, Jasper felt a bit bad for scaring so many people on her path to revenge but she would apologize to the people she scared at a later date. Right now she nodded at the girl behind the desk before storming into Madam Bones's office.

"Ah, Hello Ms. Gem, I've been expecting you sometime today or tomorrow." Madam Bones spoke as she glanced up from the paperwork she had been filling out.

"I want to press charges against James Potter for putting his hands on Ember Ravenclaw," Jasper hissed out from between her clenched teeth. She didn't want to be rude but she was just so angry at the moment that she couldn't help it, she would also apologize to Madam Bones later.

"I thought you might," Madam Bones said as she sat up straight and put her papers to the side, "Sirius Black came by to let us know what he saw and explain why he punched James Potter."

Jasper took out a copy of Ember's medical records and handed them to the monocle-wearing woman sitting behind the desk. While Madam Bones looked at the records showing the healing that had to be done on Ember, Jasper took a look around to try and calm herself.

The walls were like the rest of the ministry, the black and green bricks making the walls stand out like an eyesore. It made Jasper wonder how the magicals working here never got eyestrain or migraines when going about their work days.

The floors were made out of some darker colored wood, Jasper couldn't name it but it might have been a type of oak wood. The floor was covered in a black and yellow striped circular carpet that showed off the office's owner's house pride.

The logo for the DMLE hung on the wall behind Madam Bones's desk. The desk itself looked like it was made out of the same as the floor, some bookshelves matched the desk lined one of the walls, one was full of books while the other was full of binders, and each binder was stuffed full of parchment. Jasper would bet almost anything that those Binders were a distraction and didn't have anything important in them, most people would think the Binders were full of information on cases.

This meant that if someone broke into the office to try and steal the files for a case Madam Bones was working on, this would give people time to get to the office and catch the thief before they would find anything important.

Jasper looked at Madam Bones when she cleared her through, "What do you wish to be done, do you just want to press charges?"

Jasper stopped and thought about it before speaking, "I want to press charges but I also want to know if there's any way I can legally keep James Potter away from Ember?"

Madam Bones hummed before frowning, "Sadly we can't give her a restraining order against him unless you can prove that he's gone out of his way to hurt her in the past, he could order that he was stressed and didn't mean to hurt her, he could say that it was a one-time thing and he could promise to never do it again."

Jasper couldn't believe what she was hearing, "Are you serious? He saw her shopping for christmas presents and went up to her to hurt her, this isn't the first time he's hurt her and you're telling me we can't get a restraining order against him?"

Madam Bones sadly shook her head, "I'm sorry but no, once again we would need proof that he's a danger to Ms Ravenclaw, a lot of proof since he's still a very important figure in the magical world. He's not only the father of the boy-who-lived but he's also lord Potter-"

Jasper cut Madam Bones off with a snarl, "And Ember is Lady Ravenclaw, she out ranks Potter," She stopped before staring at the woman behind the desk, her face turning dark, "You won't do anything because he's the father of the boy-who-lived, you refuse to help my charge because you're scared, fine be scared just know the next time he dares to lay his hands on her I will be the one to deal with Potter, not you, I will make sure he never hurts her again."

Jasper glared at Madam Bones before turning and leaving before the woman could gather her wits enough to respond. Jasper was still pressing charges,

Before she went home she made a quick stop, she had a plan and this would make Potter look bad.

~With Ember~

Ember had to reassure Pearl, Amethyst, and her mom that she was okay. Her mom was worried that James would do something worse the next time he saw Ember, he would blame the eleven-year-old for losing his wife and most likely his best friend.

Ember promised that she would be more careful when she left the manor from now on, she explained that she had just wanted to pick up Christmas gifts without having to make a second trip.

Pearl spoke up, "I understand why you wanted to get it all done at once my Diamond, but from now on it's better to take two trips so there's someone there to keep you safe than it is to risk you being hurt by someone."

Ember hung her head and nodded, "You're right, I'm sorry for worrying you guys."

Lily gathered her daughter up in her arms, relishing the feeling of holding her baby girl, "Oh baby, you just wanted to do something nice for everyone, we understand that so you're not in trouble I promise."

At first, Ember had tensed in her mother's arms before relaxing and melting into the hug. She couldn't help but smile and relax more when hearing her mom say she wasn't in trouble.

"Now," Lily spoke up again, adjusting the hug so she could look down at her daughter's face, smiling softly, "How about you tell us what you got for your two friends? Daphne and Tracy right?"

Ember lit up and started explaining what she got her friends, she even showed her mom the necklace she bought for herself, explaining that she got matching necklaces for her friends too so they would have a matching set.

Ember didn't understand the look in her mom's eyes when she explained that each necklace gem matched the color of their owner's eyes.

The look was strange, it was soft but also sad.

Lily couldn't believe that her little girl was already buying jewelry for her crushes. Oh, Ember might not realize that's what she was feeling but just hearing the way she talked about her friends and hearing about the thoughtful gifts she got them, well, Lily knew without needing to hear Ember say it.

She wouldn't say anything, she would let her daughter realize what she was feeling on her own. She froze and paled when a thought hit her, did anyone explain the 'birds and the bees' to Ember yet? She would need to talk to Pearl about this.

~Time Skip~

The next morning the Daily Prophet was delivered like always but this time several people sat up in shock when they saw the Headlines.

James Potter hurts his daughter. Is this the first time?

Hello dear readers, today I have a shocking and saddening story for you today. We all know Lord James Potter, he's well known for being the father of the Boy-Who-Lived and for fighting against You-Know-Who on the front lines of the war.

We know him as a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a good friend, but what if that was wrong? What if we have been lied to, well my dear readers I'm sorry to say that we have in fact been lied too.

Oh, don't get me wrong Lord Potter is a wonderful father to his son, but what most people forget is that this man has two children. Several years ago his daughter went missing, this year she showed up at Hogwarts as Lady Ravenclaw.

Now you might be wondering how she can be known as Lady Ravenclaw, we were all under the impression that the house had died out. Well, it turns out that the former Lily Potter, now named Lily Ravenclaw, is from a long line of squibs.

You might also be wondering why Lily Ravenclaw has changed her name, this is because she has divorced Lord Potter and her daughter accepted her into the Ravenclaw family. We do not yet know why the two divorced but we wish Ms Ravenclaw all the best in her new life.

Now yesterday afternoon Lady Ravenclaw was doing some shopping in Diagon Alley, we won't reveal what she bought as we found out she was shopping for Christmas presents and we do not wish to spoil her Christmas any more than it has been already.

Lady Ravenclaw had just left a store when Lord Potter spotted her, instead of calmly talking to her like a normal person, he instead rushed up and grabbed her arm in a painful grip, several people heard her yell out that he was hurting her. We have put Lord Potter's response to his daughter telling him this below.

"Good, maybe a little pain will remind you not to go against me, now where the fuck is Lily,"

Now, we here at the Daily Prophet understand that Lord Potter was upset about his wife leaving him, but this was not the way to go about it, he did not even know for sure at the time if Lady Ravenclaw had anything to do with his now ex-wife leaving him.

While this was happening Lord Potter's good friend, Sirius Black came upon the scene, Sirius Black took one look at what was going on before he punched his best friend and quickly got his goddaughter out of there and to Saint Mungos where she was treated for bruising and a sprained arm.

We here have to wonder at how easily James Potter found it to harm his daughter, witnesses state that other than trying to get away Lady Ravenclaw never fought back, it looked like she was reliving some trauma.

Did Lady Ravenclaw run away from home because she was being abused by her father? If so, where was her mother during this? What does her brother feel knowing that his father abused his twin sister?

I will find out the answers to these questions dear readers,
