Hello everybody, how's everyone doing? You probably have a lot of questions, like:

"Mr. Crimsonred886, why did it take you so long to return?"

"Why did it take you so long to update this story?"
or, if you're here from another fic:
"Why did you abandon the RWBY and One Piece crossover?"

Well, I have an explanation, and it's simple. Over the past two years, a lot has happened in my life: I graduated from university, earned my degree, and finally got a job after a year filled with struggles and, maybe, a few moments of crying. In other words, these past years have been really difficult for me, and I lost the motivation to continue writing. However, I never forgot about the stories I left behind. So, here's my announcement regarding the fate of the two stories I was working on:

Nah, just kidding. Maybe I should've sent this before posting my other update in my One Piece fic. XD

Alright, being serious now. I spent a lot of time thinking about different ways to continue my fics (One Piece X RWBY more than Total Drama Unlimited Island), and after countless ideas running through my head, I finally decided that both stories will be completely rewritten. Yeah, I know this might come as a shock, but I wasn't really satisfied with how either story was progressing.

For example, the first challenge in Total Drama Unlimited Island was basically a fusion of the Jump Challenge from TDI Season 1 and the Pirate Ship Challenge from TDI 2023. It didn't feel original enough to me.

So yes, both stories will be rewritten.

For One Piece X RWBY, the direction of the story will undergo a major change, making it significantly different from the original version.

For Total Drama Unlimited Island, the biggest changes will be in the cast (especially the original characters I introduced) and the challenges. I have to admit, the first challenge wasn't very creative—even the ship battle was similar to the TDI 2023 challenge where contestants had to throw cabbages to destroy a boat.

Yeah, this might be a bit hard to admit, but I realized that some of the characters I originally chose were ones I barely knew, like A, Jude, and Rocky, which made writing the story difficult. However, most of the requested characters will still be in the new version—or at least some of them. Only 9 from the original cast are staying, and they are:

Damien

Sonia

Akarin

Chopper

Chloe Bourgeois

Robyn (Wolfwalkers)

Megumin

Deadpool

Buggy

That's right! Most of the characters that were requested two years ago made it into the final selection. The only characters I added myself are Deadpool, Chopper, Buggy, and Megumin.

Now, I know I had to remove some requested characters, so I decided to replace them with other requested ones. These are:

Invader Zim

Dipper Pines

Din Djarin

Finally, I want to introduce one more character of my own. I won't explain the reason just yet, but I feel like they could bring some interesting interactions. However, I'd like to hear your thoughts on whether you'd prefer one of these two characters instead:

Ella

Rock Lee

As for the remaining 10 spots (yes, I'm keeping the usual 24-contestant format because writing for more than that would be too difficult), this is your chance to submit requests again! You can suggest characters from any series or movies (including former TDI contestants), except OCs or real life people.Also, you can add a description of your suggestions and their role like villains, heroes, funny, dumb, genius, leader, etc.

I sincerely apologize for the long wait, but I'm now motivated to return to writing this chaotic and unrealistic madness. Of course, I can't promise weekly updates due to my new job and classes, but I can confidently say this is the beginning of a fresh start for both fics. And who knows? If things go well, maybe another fic will be cooking soon.
