Nationals Park
Agent McGee, David and Lincoln were walking towards the entrance of the park as they were walking towards the ticket booth they couldn't help but notice that people were murmuring and looking at Lincoln and then at there phones. Agent McGee let out a sigh and looked toward the father and son " Okay lets get the tickets and take our seats." David said to the two
" Uh Mr Andrews I'm starting to think that this might not be a good Idea" McGee said as he looked around and saw people looking at Lincoln which made him feel uncomfortable. " don't worry agent McGee We'll all get hats to help us blend in and try to enjoy the game besides I want to do this with my son" David said as he place his hand on Lincoln's shoulder. Lincoln looked up and smile at his dad. Despite everything had happened Lincoln felt a connection to his biological father wwho he had just meet.
" Excuse me" A deep voice said to the trio looked over to see a Security guard walking towards and stops in front of them " Are you Lincoln Loud?" the guard asked Lincoln " Uh yes I am" Lincoln said a little nervous " Well young man the owner of the team would like to talk if you follow me please" The guard Said as he gestured for the trio to the guard into the Stadium.
NCIS Headquarters
The loud sisters sat in the conference room under guard by Naval personal just then the door opens and in comes director Vance and agent Gibbs " Have they caused any trouble?" Vance asked one of the guards " No sir they just said that they were feeling hungry was all" One of the guards said to the director.
" Well as long as they haven't caused any trouble I guess we could get them some food." Vance said " I'll send DiNozzo to get them some sandwiches" Gibbs said to Vance. who nodded his head. " Gibbs can I talk to you out side for a little bit?" Vance asked " Sure" Gibbs said as he and Vance exited the room.
" what do you want to talk about Leon?" Gibbs asked him. " I got word from the Lawyer Mr. Loud is speaking to" Vance said to the Senior Agent. " Oh what did he say?" Gibbs asked the director. " Well in short he's trying to pull the old 'Oh my client tired they day he bought the poison and didn't realize until much later'" Vance said to Gibbs.
" So he's gonna try to play I bought it by accident then" Gibbs said only for Vance to nod. " Damn it" Gibbs said " the only thing that we have him and his wife on are the Child neglect charges." Vance said
Gibbs widen his eyes and realize something. " I have an Idea" Gibbs said as he turned to walked towards the holding areas of the building.
Nationals Park
Lincoln, his father and Agent McGee entered a large suite filled with people talking and eating food " Ah there he is!" A voice said getting the trio's attention. They looked to see a man in his early seventies walking towards them he wore a blue slacks a blue jacket with a white shirt and a red tie wearing a Nationals Cap " The young man who's caught the attention of the whole Country haha!" The man laughed a little. This made Lincoln a little uncomfortable.
" Uh High your are?" Lincoln asked not knowing who the man was " Oh were are my manners my name is Mark Lerner I'm the owner of the Washington Nationals" the man said as he shook Lincolns hand " Oh Nice to meet you Mr Lerner" Lincoln said to the base ball teams owner.
" Oh please just Mark will do" The owner of the team said to Lincoln as he looked at the other two who were with him " and you boys are ?" Mark asked " I'm Agent McGee and this is David Andrews " McGee said as he introduced himself and Lincoln's real father ( Not He will not be revealed to be Lincoln's father until a later chapter).
" Well it's nice to meet you Mr. Andrews" Mark Lerner said as he shook there hands and then he looks back towards Lincoln. " Now young man A lot of people have heard about your unfortunate circumstances with your family" Mark said only for him to stop and take a drink of water " Now I don't mean bad things that happened to but I would for you to throw the first pitch of the game" Mark Said to Lincoln.
The Trio were caught off guard by the Baseball teams owner " Wait are you serious!?" Lincoln asked Not believing what he had heard. " That's right young man I'm offering you a once in a life time chance to take mound and throw the first of Major league baseball game" The owner said with a smile on his face.
Lincoln turned to his father with pleading eyes. David smile and nodded, McGee was however extremely nervous just as he was about to voice is objection. David Andrews looked " I'll tell agent Gibbs that it was My idea and take full responsibility for it" Andrews said to Agent McGee.
This made McGee even more nervous then he was before. And then the scene goes to black and white
In the Interrogation room
Rita sat across from agent Gibbs who had some papers in front of him " Is there a reason as to why you wanted to talk to me I already told you everything" Rita said to the senior agent.
" when Lincoln was born did you and your husband go shopping together to get food for your children?" Gibbs asked her. This caused Rita to look at him with a raised eyebrow.
" We only went shopping three times But it was mostly me Lincoln and my daughters." Rita said then something clicked in her mind " There was one time when I was going to the store but Lynn stopped me and offered to instead" Rita said to Gibbs
This caught his attention " And you didn't find it suspicious at all?" Gibbs asked the loud mother. She simple shook her head but then remembered something about that day " Lynn left that day at ten in the morning and came late in the afternoon when her parked the Van in the drive way I remember he took a bag into the garage and then brought the rest of the groceries into the house." Rita said
" Did he ever tell you what he bought that day?" Gibbs asked her " No when I asked him about the bag he took in to garage he told it was something for work and he didn't wan our girls to get near it" Rita said to the agent.
Gibbs sighed and looked at Rita and handed her one of the papers " I had one of agents go through your financial records and we discovered something interesting during the time your husband went shopping" Gibbs said as he hand Rita a piece of paper that had some highlighted pieces on it.
Rita begins to read through the paper and reads the highlighted parts carefully " What?" She says in disbelief " I don't understand why would he by this stuff it was dangerous to have because some kids could-" Gibbs finished her sentence " Could be mistaken for milk" Gibbs said. Rita nodded her head as she places the paper on the table.
" Rita I'm sorry that i'm the one that has to tell you this but your husband didn't want Lincoln around and said that he wasn't going anywhere so that;s why he made those purchases" Gibbs said as he looked her straight in the eyes " He was trying to kill Lincoln" Gibbs tells her.
Nationals Park
Lincoln was nervous to say the least He his father and agent McGee where in the Nationals dugout. Lincoln was nervous because not only was he about to throw the opening pitch of a Major League Baseball game but it was going to be on National TV and to add to it the story of what happened had now gone wild and people knew who he was and what his family did to him.
" Lincoln" David said to his son causing him to look up at his dad " I take it your Nervous?" He asked his son " Well yeah I mean I'm gong to be on TV and now the word about what my pare- what Mr. and Mrs. Loud did to me is every were" Lincoln said to his dad.
David places his hand on Lincoln's shoulder " I know it's nerve racking for you a young kid about to take the mound and throw the first pitch of a major league game" He said to his son. " But I think i may have a way to help you" He told Lincoln.
" Okay do as I do" David told him " In hail" David said as Lincoln inhaled a fresh breath of air " Count to four Exhale count to four" David said to his son. Lincoln did just as he dad. " Do you feel better?" David asked his son.
Lincoln nodded his head having done that little what his father had told made feel less nervous "Thanks Dad" Lincoln said to him, this caused David to smile. " Your welcome son" David said to his son and turns out to field " Your ready?" David asked him. Lincoln nodded his head " Agent McGee if you would follow us please" David said to the Agent who nodded. Soon the trio makes there way to mound.
NCIS headquarters
Rita was just starring down at the in disbelief she would have never thought that her own husband would do something like this try to kill her only son " I don't understand why, why would he try to kill Lincoln?" Rita asked the senior agent who looked back at her with his arms crossed.
" I don't know why but I can tell you this" Gibbs said to her " His sentence is going to be a lot longer then yours." Gibbs said to her as he got up from his chair and exited to room.
Director Vance who was standing on the other side of the two way mirror just sighed he knew that this was going to be long case and he didn't see the end coming soon.
( I want to apologize for not updating this story in a while but I do hope you guys enjoy this chapter)
