This is based on season 5 episode 23 Where Hyde Cheats on Jackie with a nurse based on a misunderstanding.
Chapter 1
JB POF:
"Jackie, I love you". The words Steven said to her repeated throughout her mind. He had just admitted to cheating on her with a nurse just hours earlier. "Damn, this breaks up hurt worse than Michael", she thought as she downed another shot of tequila. She was not a big drinker, especially with liquor but her heart was broken. She cursed herself for telling Steven that she did not love him anymore, because it was not only not true, but she was saying that out of heartbreak. She wanted Steven to be just as miserable as her.
"I need to get out of this town, at least for a little while", Jackie thought as she continued to drown her sorrows in liquor and put on Steven's favorite Led Zepplin t-shirt that smelled faintly of his cologne.
SH POF:
Hyde"Come on, Jackie..."
Jackie"No, you know what, Steven? I'm sorry... it's over". Jackie leaves Steven's car. Steven's heart broke into pieces.
"Damn it, I really messed it up with Jackie". Steven ranted to Fez, Donna, and Eric. Michael was also in the room, but he was awfully smug, but keeping his mouth shut. "Look Hyde, just give Jackie some space, she will come around. She's forgiven Kelso for cheating so many times, she will forgive you." Donna said. Eric looked at Donna, and you could tell he wanted to speak, but he was hesitant because it might not be the same viewpoint Donna had.
EF POF: "Look Hyde, Jackie has grown through this relationship with you. I am not saying she shouldn't forgive you, but you helped her grow in ways where she has grown intolerant of cheating. She was not like that with Kelso, she has grown". Kelso opened his mouth to say something stupid, but Eric shot him a look and said, "I am not finished, dumbass". Donna covered up her mouth to keep herself from laughing. Hyde let out a small smile, he loved when everyone gave Kelso a hard time.
EF: "Now where was I going with this? Oh yeah. Jackie has grown and she has expectations. I get it that you made a mistake, unlike Kelso. He was constantly slipping and falling into other women's naughty parts. But I don't believe you meant to hurt her, Hyde. Everyone can see how much you care for Jackie, and how she changed you too. Not in a bad way, but you were happier. As a friend, I will advise you to give her some time. She expected this from Kelso, but not from you".
Foreman was not a smart man, but he made sense sometimes. Donna looked over at Eric with a kind of shocked expression on his face. "That made sense, Eric. "Donna said with a smile. Eric beamed at her.
MK POF: "Just because I cheated on Jackie with multiple women, does not mean I did not love her. I love her, and I want to marry her. We would totally make adorable babies."
Everyone in the group groaned but Kelso, until Hyde smacked him in the arm. "Ow!" Michael grumbled loudly.
SH POF:
'This to any of his friends. But the thought of not having Jackie in his life, would be just not a life worth living. He went to see Jackie earlier and it did not end well. He finally told her he loved her and she looked shocked at first then responded with "Well, I don't love you". He knew deep down she didn't mean it, but damn did it hurt. Hyde sighed. He wanted to see Jackie, but he did not want to push her away even further.
JB POF:
Tears fell as she folded up the letters she wrote to her friends. She wrote one letter to Mrs. Foreman and the crew, and one just for Steven. She had to get away for a little while and did not want anyone to come after her, but she did not want her friends to worry about her. Jackie wiped the tears from her eyes, she had to do this just for herself.
KF: POF:
Kitty looked down at the letters placed on the dining room table labeled to her and the rest of the group. She knew just by watching Jackie, she was depressed. Steven and Jackie were good for each other despite their differences. She walked in on Jackie, placing the letters on her dinner table.
KF "Jackie, what are you doing over here this early in the morning? Are you okay? Mrs. Foreman asked Jackie as she seen the tears rolling down her face. Jackie placed the letters down on the dinner table and looked up at Mrs. Foreman.
JB:" I was going to leave without saying anything to anyone. But since you are here, I will tell you but please do not tell anyone I am gone, at least for a day or two. I wrote these letters to try to explain what was going on, and I just need to get away for a while. Please wait a day or two before you read the letter and give Steven his letters. I appreciate everything you and Mr. Foreman doing everything you can to help me while my father is in prison, and my mother is God knows where". Jackie sniffled trying to not let Mrs. Foreman see her cry. The breakup with Steven and her family life was too much to bear.
Kitty sighed. "Are you sure, Jackie? I do not condone Steven's action but at the same time, it was a huge misunderstanding. He has changed for the better while being with you."
Jackie. "I know. I love Steven with my whole heart, he is not just the only reason I need to get away. My parental situation is not the best and I just need to clear my head for a while.
Kitty: "Well I know I cannot change your mind. But always know this, we all love you here, and you can come home anytime. Kitty embraces Jackie. I promise I won't open the letter for three days, and give Steven his for three days, I am not going to even ask where you are going because you know what's best for you. But you better call when you get there and call me every so often because If you do not, I will have Red shove his foot up your ass when you decide to come back, because I know you will." Jackie laughed and nodded. "Goodbye Mrs. Foreman, I will call as soon as I get where I am going". Jackie gave her one last hug and walked out the Foreman's house.
