Hiya everyone it's nice to be back and updating again. I have a new story up as well so make sure to check that out too. I hope to get back into a regular updating schedule again, but oh well. Enjoy the chapter and make sure to read and review.

Chapter 32: Back to School

Izuku woke up a couple seconds before his All Might alarm clock went off. His body is sore in all the places that Urokodaki hit him in. After a moment of listening to the alarm he slowly gets up and shuts it off. He gets out of bed and does a few different stretches to get the stiffness out of his joints. The training in the transparent world really did a number on him this time as Urokodaki didn't hold back much.

'Crazy old man and his water breathing.'

He thinks to himself as he grabs a towel and goes to the bathroom. He turns the water on and waits for it to heat up by hanging up his towel and undressing. After a quick shower and rebandaging some of the injuries on his arms he is back in his room. The sun is starting to light up the sky and the birds are singing as they fly by. Izuku puts on his uniform as he listens to the sounds of the morning neighborhood.

When he is done getting dressed he can smell bacon coming from the kitchen. He grabs his yellow backpack and walks out of his room and into the kitchen. His mom is standing in front of the stove getting bacon and eggs with toast ready. They both smile at each other as Izuku takes a seat at the kitchen table with his bag on the floor. Inko makes him a plate and places it in front of him with a glass of orange juice. Izuku looks at the food with hunger in his eyes and starts to eat.

"The food is great mom, thank you!"

Izuku tells his mom inbetween bites of eggs and bacon. Inko smiles at the compliment and gets her coffee ready. He finishes the food quickly and puts the dishes into the sink. He gives his mom a big hug and a kiss on the cheek then leaves for school. The food made him feel a lot better and ready to handle the day.

-Train Station-

Izuku is waiting at the train station hoping to see Kyoka before they get to class. He is checking his phone for any messages and feels a sudden tap on his shoulder. He looks up to see a nervous looking Kyoka who is twirling one of her jacks around her finger. He instantly smiles when seeing her and quickly wraps her into a hug. She is surprised at the action but quickly hugs him back and leans her head onto his shoulder.

They stay like that for a moment, happy that the other is okay. Izuku is the first to pull away making Kyoka want more but also lean back. There is a moment of silence between the two before they start talking over one another. They ask how they are doing, what happened to them, where they were, and who they were with. As they talk the train arrives so they enter talking more and annoying some of the other passangers.

Izuku is glad to hear that the group she was in made it out safe and sound. She told him about how Kaminari got a little banged up protecting her and Yaoyorozu. He'll have to remember to thank him later that day if he finds the time. They finally got to their stop and started walking to the school. They both feel a lot better at seeing one another and that their okay.

-Classroom-

Izuku and Kyoka make it through the large doors of the classroom to see Iida, Yaoyorozu, Katsuki, and a few others already at their desks. Everyone present at the moment looks at Izuku with different expressions. Izuku looks around confused on why he's getting so much attention. He suddenly remembers how they saw him slice off limbs from the nomu monster and 'man.'

'They don't know he's a demon. What am I going to tell them? Do I tell them the truth?'

Izuku is visibly starting to panick by looking back at them and stuttering. Iida can see him struggling so he walks over to him and smiles. Izuku sees his smile and calms down a bit. Kyoka places a hand on his shoulder as Iida extends his hand to shake.

"I'm glad to see that you're okay Midoriya. I saw how you protected us from the villains and helped the heroes."

Izuku looks up at the taller boy with wide eyes at the last part he said. He still can't remember what happened during the All Might and Nomu battle. Iida looks at Izuku and he can clearly see that he is trying not to look at the mark on his forehead. Izuku lets out a sigh as he walks over to his desk and sits down.

"I don't remember much of what happened honestly. It's like one of those dreams where you forget what happened once you wake up."

Iida nods and looks at Kyoka who is still checking up on Izuku. Katsuki is watching the greenette from the corner of his eye as he grinds his teeth. Izuku takes his seat and the rest of the class goes back to their own devices. Kyoka sits next to Izuku as he looks out the window and zones out. The door opens again with Ochako and the rest of the students entering the class.

"Izuku! I'm glad you're okay!"

The bubbly girl shouts as she wraps her arms around his neck. Izuku is brought back to reality with a slight yelp and a panicked look. Ochako steps back with a wince on her face. Kyoka is looking at the girl with an annoyed expression. Izuku looks at Ochako with a tired smile and raises his hand to reassure her.

"Hi Ochako, it's good to see you too. I'm okay, just trying to readjust."

She nods but before she can say anything else a mummy walks into the class. All the students look at the man as he walks to the front desk. It takes a moment for everyone to recognize who the mummy is until they see his long stragely black hair. The class was so silent for a nano second that you could hear the wind outside the windows.

"AIZAWA SENSEI, IS THAT YOU?!?"

Most of the class shouted at the heavily injured man, making him flinch. Aizawa wishes to the heavens that he could cover his ears but the casts on his arms prevent movement. The bell rings signaling the start of homeroom making everyone silent. The man looks at all of his students through the bandages on his face and gauges their expressions. He can see that they are not the same students from when the school year started.

"Alright class I know that last week was a lot, but we don't have time for that. The sports Festival will be coming up shortly."

Most of the class is shocked that the Sports Festival is still happening after the villain attack. Especially since the man himself looks like he came out of a pyrmid. The thought of brushing off the villain attack like it was nothing made some of the students conflicted. Even though there wasn't any serious injury some of them still got hurt.

"All of you listen, now. I understand that what you've been through was terrifying but you all need to turn that fear into determination. We need to show that despite the U.S.J incident the hero class 1-A is still strong."

Everyone in the class looks around at each other with different expressions. Everyone except Izuku and Katsuki who are grinning from ear to ear. Aizawa clears his throat to get the class's attention again making everyone look at him.

"The combat and ect gyms will be open after classes if you don't have a place to train, I highly recommend them. If you need something specific with your quirk fill out a form on my desk and give it to me as soon as you can."

Izuku grins more as he wants to check out the different gyms and train his quirk and new element. Katsuki looks at him with an annoyed expressesion and points at Izuku. Everyone looks at Katsuki as he stands up and walks in front of Izuku's desk.

"Don't think that you even have a chance of beating me Deku!"

Everyone looks at Izuku and Katsuki with interest as the tension rises. Izuku looks up at the blonde with a raised eyebrow. They haven't had much interaction since middle school but they have all been while Katsuki was angry at him. He looks him right in the eyes and slightly grins.

"What makes you think you're the one I want to beat?"

Izuku asks him with eyes full of determination and some spite. Katsuki looks like he is about to explode from how red his face looks. Before he can do anything Aizawa quickly stands up.

"Bakugo go back to your desk now. I will not tolerate fighting in my class. Is that understood?"

Bakugo doesn't say anything for a moment, just staring at Izuku with pure anger. He mutters a "fine" and goes back to his desk. Izuku takes in a deep breath and slowly lets it out with whisps of smoke coming out. The class goes back listening to Aizawa but he some how already got into his sleeping bag despite his injuries. Everyone talks among themselves with Kyoka tapping Izuku's shoulder.

"Yo dude, what was that all about?"

Izuku lets out a tired sigh and looks at the back of the blonde's head. He remembers when they used to be friends and hang out before their quirks manifested. When his own quirk manifested a year later Katsuki had become a bully who got special treatment from the adults. Maybe in another world their friendship could have been different and lasted. Kyoka watches his face go through multiple changes as he thinks of an answer.

"He's just a hot head who's obsessed with being better than everyone else. He's been picking on me since we were little."

Kyoka glares at the back of the blonde's head with her jacks coiling. Izuku places a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. She looke back at him and barely manages to hold in a gasp. Izuku's eyes are soft as they look into hers. He has a faint smile that only says "It's okay." She nods and slowly takes his hand from her shoulder and wraps her fingers around it. Ochako is talking to Iida but in the corner of her eye she sees Kyoka holding Izuku's hand.

Izuku smiles at the punk girl and squeezes her hand gently. Ochako stands up quickly making her way to the pair and 'accidently' passes through their hands. Kyoka glares at her for interrupting their little moment and Izuku is surprised. She sits on Izuku's desk and gives a slight look at Kyoka before looking back at Izuku. Ochako points at Izuku's mark on his forehead with curiosity.

"Hey Izuku, what's that mark on your forehead? Did you get a tattoo?"

She asks with interest that starts to make Izuku uncomfortable. She tries to cover the mark with his hand and think of what to say. Izuku can suddenly feel all the attention on him again. His classmates look like they're doing their own things but he can see them peaking at the corner of their eyes. He looks at Ochako with a slight cringe and looks away.

"I'm not sure what it is. I think it's part of my quirk though. I'd rather not talk about it please."

The bubbly girl looks at him confused then in shock as she understands. She apologizes and goes back to her desk with a slump. Izuku lays his head on his desk and closes his eyes. Kyoka watches him with worry in her eyes but lets him rest.

-After General Classes-

Izuku is standing in the locker room changing into his gym uniform with extra armor pads. His hero costume was badly damaged during the villain attack. The extra armor on his uniform is meant to be for his hero costume to match the same feeling. Attached to his belt on his waist is a blunt metal training sword that matches his busted hero costume's green and black color. He looks at himself one last time before going out and joining the others.

All Might is standing in front of everyone in his signature pose with his hands on his hips. He joins the rest of the class and listens to the lesson for the day. He stands next to Kyoka and notices that Ochako is on his other side. All Might tells them that today's hero training will be another team work assignment. The difference being that two students will be going against one of the teachers. The class buzzes with excitement and a hint of nervousness.

The first match makes Izuku mentally groan but also interested. It's him and Katsuki versus The Number One Hero: All Might. He can practically feel the heat radiating off of the blonde with some excitement mixed in. They both look at each other and Izuku can read his old friend's face clearly. Katsuki is glaring at him with eyes that say "Stay out of my way." He rolls his eyes at the boy's anger issues.

The other students are looking at them both with their breaths held. Izuku keeps his ground and doesn't shy away like he would before. All Might notices the tension between the two and steps between them. Katsuki keeps his glare for a second longer before walking away to prepare. Izuku looks up at All Might with a thankful smile.

"Thank you sir. He can be pretty hard to ignore at times."

The muscular man lets out a loud laugh as he nods at Izuku. They both watch Katsuki walk away with different looks. Izuku has a look of annoyance while All Might has a look of empathy.

"I understand what having a rival entales young Midoriya. I've had many of them when I was younger as well. Infact I still have one till this day."

Izuku is amazed that someone like All Might could still have rivals. Now that he thinks about it, the rival might just be the number two hero, Endeavor. Suddenly he feels a weird tingling like cold and hot at the same time. He turns around and sees a boy with red and white hair looking at him with an emotionless expression.

'What's his deal?'

That is chapter 32 all wrapped up everyone! It took me a minute to figure out where to go with this but now I think I'm back on track. I hope you guys are liking 'The Unsung Hero' so far. chapter 2 will be out soon.
