Alolan Digletts

As Lincoln, his sisters, and Clyde walked along the Isle of Armor, Lincoln noticed several Pokemon Dens, some with red pillars of light coming out of them nearby.

"Guys. There's Pokemon Dens here in the Isle of Armor also." said Lincoln.

"Then I'm going to look to see if any of them have cute Pokemon in them right now." said Lola. She runs off to where a den with a pillar of light coming out of it is.

"Wait up, little dudette." said Luna as she and the others chase after Lola. As Lincoln was running, he sees a light brown, puppy-like Pokemon walking over to him. Lincoln stops and looks at the Pokemon.

"Hey, little guy." said Lincoln.

"Hello." replied the Pokemon. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.

"Rockruff, the Puppy Pokemon. This Pokemon can bond very strongly with its trainer, but it also has a habit of biting. Raising a Rockruff for a long time can be challenging." said the Rotom Phone. Lincoln looks at the Rockruff.

"I'm definitely going to catch you." said Lincoln, pulling out a pokeball.

"Try to catch me." replied Rockruff, who took a battle stance.

"Was that a challenge?" asked Lincoln.

"You bet it is!" replied Rockruff.

"In that case, Gyarados, I choose you." said Lincoln, throwing Gyarados' pokeball and releasing her. She looks at the Rockruff and roars at it, but to Lincoln's surprise, Rockruff didn't look like it was weakening. "I wonder why Gyarados' Intimidate isn't working on this Rockruff. Oh well. Gyarados, use Brine." Gyarados opens her mouth and fires a strong stream of water out of it at Rockruff. Rockruff suddenly became multiple Rockruffs. Brine hits one of them, but it was just an illusion. "That Rockruff must know Double Team." The other Rockruff illusions vanish and the real Rockruff's tail was forming an orb of light. Multiple rocks fired out of the orb and they hit Gyarados, causing super effective damage to her. "That was Rock Throw. Rock type attacks are strong against flying types."

"Are you regretting accepting my challenge?" asked Rockruff, smirking.

"No way. After seeing how tough you are, now I really want to catch you." said Lincoln, surprising Rockruff. "Gyarados, use Brine again." Gyarados' fires another stream of water at Rockruff, hitting it and causing super effective damage. Rockruff gets up and turns around and kicks sand into Gyarados' eyes with its hind legs. "That was Sand Attack." Gyarados was squinting her eyes to try to see Rockruff. "Try using Bite, Gyarados." Gyarados lunges at Rockruff and was able to bite onto it. Rockruff flinched and fell to the ground. Lincoln takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Rockruff and it gets sucked into it. The pokeball wiggles around and clicks and stops. "Yes! I caught Rockruff." Rockruff's pokeball vanished due to Lincoln already having six Pokemon with him. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone to learn more about his new Rockruff. "Okay, according to this, my new Rockruff is male, he knows Tackle, Leer, and I already know he knows Sand Attack, Double Team, and Rock Throw. He has the Own Tempo ability, which not only prevents him from being afflicted with the confusion status condition, but also blocks the Intimidate abilty. Cool." He looks at Gyarados. "You okay, Gyarados?"

"Yes, Lincoln. That Rockruff was a tough little guy." said Gyarados.

"You know it." replied Lincoln. He returned Gyarados to her pokeball and ran off to find his siblings and Clyde. The others were already inside the den Lola ran to, facing a giant blue, round, mouse like Pokemon with a long, thin tail with a blue ball on the end of it.

"What's this cute Pokemon called?" asked Lola. She takes out the Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.

"Azurill, the Polka Dot Pokemon. The ball on Azurill's tail bounces like a rubber ball, and it's full of nutrients the Pokemon needs to grow." said the Rotom Phone.

"I want this Pokemon. Help me battle it, everyone." said Lola. Clyde brings out his Wooper, Leni brings out her Bounsweet, Luna brings out her Toxel, Lucy brings out her Phantump, Lola brings out her Cherubi, and Lana brings out her Drilbur.

"Let's do this everyone! Toxel, use Acid." said Luna.

"Bounsweet, use Razor Leaf." says Leni.

"Wooper, use Water Gun." said Clyde.

"Drilbur, use Metal Claw." said Lana.

"Phantump, use Energy Ball." said Lucy.

"Cherubi, use Leafage." said Lola. All their Pokemon attacked Azurill with some of the attacks doing super-effective damage. Azurill's energy exploded, freezing it in place. Lola takes out a Heal Ball and uses her Dynamax Band to enlarge it. She then throws it at Azurill and hits it, sucking it in. The ball falls to the ground and wiggles a few times before clicking, indicating a successful capture. "Oh, yeah. I caught Azurill." Soon the Loud sisters and Clyde exited the den. They looked around the den and found a Balm Mushroom, a few berries, and the TM for Dazzling Gleam.

"So what's your new Azurill like, dudette?" Luna asked Lola. Lola pulls out her Rotom Phone and activates the pokedex function.

"Okay. My Azurill is a girl. She knows Splash, Water Gun, Tail Whip, Helping Hand, Bubblebeam, Charm, Slam, and Bounce; and she has the Huge Power ability which makes her attacks stronger." said Lola.

"Wow. That ability sounds like it would make your Azurill a tough customer." said Lana.

"Azurill is cute and powerful. She reminds me of, well, me." said Lola. Just then, Lincoln comes walking up to them.

"Hey, guys. How are you all doing?" asked Lincoln.

"We're doing good. Lola caught a new Pokemon." said Lana.

"That's cool. So did I." said Lincoln as he lets Rockruff out of his pokeball to show his sisters and Clyde.

"Wow. A dog Pokemon." said Lana.

"Yeah. He's really tough. He even gave Gyarados a hard time." said Lincoln.

"Whoa. He must be strong." said Luna.

"So what now?" asked Leni.

"I want to check out that Master Dojo place and see what it's like." said Lincoln.

"But didn't Klara tell us not to go near there?" asked Clyde. Leni growls in response to hearing Klara's name.

"I don't see what gives her the right to tell us what to do. That diva is not the boss of me." said Lola.

"She's not the boss of me, either." said Leni.

"You're right. Let's go check it out." said Lincoln. They all start heading towards the Master Dojo. As they got to a bridge, they notice what looked like a brown dome with three small hairs sticking out of the ground in front of it.

"What's that?" asked Lana. Just then, the dome pops up showing that it was in fact a brown Pokemon with a pink nose and tube-like body. Lana pulls out her Rotom Phone and points it at the new Pokemon.

"Diglett, the Mole Pokemon. The metal-rich geology of this Pokemon's habitat caused it to develop steel whiskers on its head." said the Rotom Phone.

"There you are!" a voice cries out. They look to see a man in mountain-climbing gear running over to the Diglett. "I've been looking all over for you." He turns to look at Lincoln and the others. "Thank you so much for finding my Diglett."

"Actually, we only came across him." said Lincoln.

"That doesn't matter. What matters is that you found one of my Alolan Digletts." said the man.

"Alolan Diglett?" replied Lincoln.

"Yes. You see; there are same species of Pokemon in many regions around the world, but there could be some differences between each region's specie. For example, a Diglett that are here are ground types; but the ones found in the Alola region are part ground and part steel." explained the man.

"Really?" replied Lana.

"You bet." said the man. "Hey. I was wondering if you can do me a favor if you have the time."

"What do you need?" asked Clyde.

"You see, I had other Alolan Digletts with me, but I looked away for a second and they all disappeared on me. I think they're all still here on the Isle of Armor." explained the man.

"How many did you have?" asked Luna.

"150 of them." said the man, surprising the Louds and Clyde.

"150?! How do you keep that many Pokemon with you?!" asked Lincoln.

"I don't keep them in pokeballs. I let them follow me around, but they never ran off before." said the man. "Anyway; can you help me find my other Digletts? I'll give you something in return." Lincoln turns to the others.

"What do you guys think?" asked Lincoln.

"I don't see why not." said Luna.

"And he said he'd give us something in return." said Lola.

"And it could be fun. It can be like hide-and-seek." said Lana.

"And between the seven of us, we should be able to find them quickly enough." said Clyde.

"Okay, sir. We'll help you find your Digletts." said Lincoln.

"Thank you, kids. I'll be waiting right near this bridge." said the man. "Just so you know, Alolan Digletts are easy to spot. Just look for small brown domes with three hairs on them sticking out of the ground."

"Thanks." Everyone spread out and started searching the area for the Digletts. As Lola searched along the beach, she saw something shiny in the sand. When she checked it out, she saw that it was a pearl, much to her delight.

"Oooh. A pearl! I wonder if there's more?" Lola wondered as she started combing the beach for more pearls. The others spent half an hour searching and successfully found ten of them. The Digletts went back to the man who was waiting at the bridge. Lincoln, Leni, Luna, Lucy, Lana, and Clyde went back to the bridge.

"So far we found ten of these guys, sir." said Lincoln.

"That's a wonderful start. Thanks, kids." said the man. He pulls out two pokeballs from one of his vest pockets. "As thanks for finding at least ten of my Digletts, here's an Alolan Meowth and Slowpoke." He opens the pokeballs, releasing a pale-purple, bipedal, catlike Pokemon and a Slowpoke that looked almost like the one Clyde found, but it's head was completely pink. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the cat Pokemon.

"Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokemon. Deeply proud and keenly smart, this Pokemon moves with cunning during battle and relentlessly attacks enemies' weak points." said the Rotom Phone.

"That's an Alolan Meowth. There are different varieties of Meowths in other regions. This one is a dark type Pokemon, the Meowths found in Galar are steel types, and in other regions are normal types." explained the man.

"That's interesting." said Lincoln.

"Anyway, thanks for your help so far, kids. As you keep finding more, I'll give you more Alolan Pokemon." said the man. He hands Lincoln the pokeballs which are transported to storage. The group then walks across the bridge to continue their search.

"I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open for more of those Digletts." said Lana.

"Yeah. I'll bet we might get some even cooler Pokemon." said Luna.

"Maybe even a cute one." said Leni. Clyde stops and looks around.

"Hey. Where's Lola?" asked Clyde. Everyone else looks around and notice Lola wasn't with them.

"Yeah, where is she?" asked Lincoln.

"Let's go look for her. She could be in trouble." said Luna. The group starts looking around in search of Lola. When they got to the beach, they see a lot of holes.

"Whoa. What did this?" asked Luna.

"Did you do this, Lana?" asked Lucy.

"No. I only dig in dirt, not sand." said Lana. The others hear something coming from a hole that has sand flying out of it. As they approached the hole, they hear a voice coming from inside it.

"OH YEAH, BABY! COME TO MAMA!" Lola's voice yells out. The others look in the hole and see Lola with a Big Pearl in her hands.

"There you are, dudette." said Luna. Lola looks up out of the hole and sees the others staring at her.

"Oh. Hey, everybody. Look at what I found." said Lola as she held out a bunch of Pearls, Big Pearls, and even a couple of Pearl Strings.

"Whoa. Lola's found a lot of pearls." said Lucy.

"This beach is full of them. I even found these pearl necklaces. I love this place!" said Lola.

"Get out of there, Lola." said Lincoln. Lola glares at Lincoln, but complies. The others pull her out of the hold she was in.

"So you guys found any of those Digletts?" asked Lola.

"Ten of them. That guy gave us two Pokemon in return." said Lincoln.

"Really? What are they like?" asked Lola. Lincoln shows her the pictures on his Rotom Phone. "Not exactly cute, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.

"Well let's head for the Master Dojo. Maybe we'll find some more Digletts along the way and we'll get more Pokemon. Maybe one will be cute." said Lincoln.

"Okay, let's go." said Lola. The group crosses the bridge and continue towards the Master Dojo.
