Welcome to the Master Dojo
Lincoln, his sisters, and Clyde soon reached the Master Dojo after they crossed the Alolan Digletts' trainer's bridge. It looked like a small traditional Shoalin temple. On its roof was what looked like a bear's face. When they got there, they see Klara talking to a woman with brown hair, green earrings and sweater that reaches below her waist; around her waist was a black belt held together by a gold ring, white pants, and green shoes.
"So the new student chose not to attend?" asked the woman.
"Yes. At least what that group of people I met back in Wedgehurst who showed up at the station here told me." said Klara.
"What a shame. I was hoping to have another student join our dojo." said the woman.
"Yeah, that's too bad." said Klara. The woman looks to her right and sees Lincoln's group.
"Hello. And who might you kids be?" asked the woman. Klara looks and was surprised to see Lincoln, his sisters, and Clyde all standing there.
"Hi. We just showed up here a short while ago and we were curious about this place." said Lincoln.
"Oh. Well allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Honey, and I help keep this place running." said the woman now identified as Ms. Honey.
"Nice to meet you." said Lincoln. "My name is Lincoln Loud." said Lincoln.
"I'm his best friend, Clyde McBride." said Clyde.
"I'm Linky's sister, Leni." said Leni.
"I'm another of Lincoln's sisters. My name is Luna." said Luna.
"I'm Lincoln's cutest sister, Lola." said Lola.
"I'm Lola's twin sister, Lana." said Lana. Lincoln looks around for Lucy but couldn't see her.
"Is something wrong?" asked Ms. Honey.
"Yeah. We have another sister here, but she seems to have disappeared." said Lincoln.
"Hi. I'm his sister, Lucy." said Lucy from behind Ms. Honey and Klara, scaring them.
"My goodness! You gave me quite the scare, young lady!" said Ms. Honey.
"Yeah, she does that sometimes. You get used to it." said Lincoln.
"Really?" asked Klara.
"No. She's been doing that for years and we're still not used to it." said Lana.
"Sorry." said Lucy. Ms. Honey looks at Lincoln's sisters.
"You have five sisters?" asked Ms. Honey.
"No. This is only half of the sisters I got." said Lincoln, surprising Ms. Honey and Klara.
"No way. You must be joking." said Klara. Lincoln pulls out his Rotom Phone, thankful that it transferred all data from his old device, including pictures, onto it. He pulls up a picture that has him and all ten of his sisters on it and shows it to Ms. Honey and Klara. They were astounded by what they saw.
"How can one woman have that many kids?" asked Ms. Honey.
"We don't have a clue." said Luna.
"Anyway, we met Klara back in Wedgehurst and we heard about this place there and decided to check it out." said Lincoln.
"So you know Klara then?" asked Ms. Honey. "She's our best student here. She's working towards being a Gym Leader someday."
"Really? That's cool." said Lincoln. Klara smiles in response.
"Oh dear, but look at me!" said Ms. Honey. "Here i am making you stand around outside after coming all this way! Come in! Come in! Don't mind the faint stench of sweat!"
"Don't worry. One of our other sisters does a lot of exercise and training, so the smell of sweat isn't a problem for us." said Lincoln. Ms. Honey turns and walks towards the dojo's front doors. As Lincoln's group walks forward, Klara cuts in front of Leni with a scowl on her face. Leni glares back at her. The group enters and see what looked like a small Pokemon battle arena. To the left they see a kitchen, and down the hall to the right they see what appeared to be a living room. In the main area were several people that were mostly wearing the same thing. A yellow robe with black shorts or pants, along with black and white shoes with yellow shoelaces. Near a set of double doors on the other side of the area was an elderly gentleman with a beard, wearing a teal jacket with black sleeves, a black hat with teal stripes on it, white pants, and black shoes. Ms. Honey walks up and stands next to him.
"This handsome gentleman is the master of this dojo, my husband. Master Mustard." said Ms. Honey. Master Mustard looks at Lincoln's group with interest.
"Hello, children. Is any of you the new student we were expecting to arrive today?" asked Master Mustard.
"Sadly, no." said Ms. Honey. "It turns out he changed his mind about joining us and left at the last minute." Master Mustard had a look of disappointment.
"That's a shame." said Master Mustard. He then looks at Lincoln's group. "I don't suppose any of you would like to join our dojo, would you?" Clyde looks around and wonders something.
"What exactly do you teach here?" asked Clyde.
"We teach our students a lot about Pokemon training. We work to help our students reach their true potential as trainers." said Master Mustard. Clyde thought about it for a second and figured he should give it a try. He was just starting out as a trainer and figured that he could learn some stuff here that can come in handy. Clyde turns to look at the others.
"Guys. Would you be okay with me joining the dojo for a while?" asked Clyde.
"How come?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm just starting out as a trainer, and I think I can learn some useful techniques that can help me in future battles." said Clyde.
"Sure. I don't see why not." said Lincoln.
"Go for it, dude." said Luna.
"You totes have our support." said Leni. Everyone else gave Clyde their approval. After that, Clyde turns back towards Master Mustard.
"I would like to join your dojo, sir." said Clyde. Master Mustard's face lit up with joy.
"Excellent. I am glad you decided to join." said Master Mustard. "And just so you know, the Galar Champion Leon used to be one of my students. A lot of what he knows he learned from me." Lincoln was amazed.
"Really?" replied Lincoln.
"Yes." said Master Mustard. He then looks at Ms. Honey. "Dear, would you please get our newest student his dojo uniform?"
"Of course, honey." said Ms. Honey. She walks towards a small room down a hallway.
"What is your name, young man?" asked Master Mustard.
"My name is Clyde McBride." said Clyde.
"Very well." said Master Mustard. He walks to one side of the small battle arena. "In order to see how good you are, I'll need to battle you. Don't worry, I won't use my strongest Pokemon, just ones strong enough to be a challenge to you." Clyde nods and runs to the other side of the battle arena.
"Do your best, Clyde." said Lincoln. Clyde turns and gives Lincoln a thumbs up. Master Mustard takes out a pokeball from his jacket and throws it, releasing a Pokemon with mostly yellowish fur and hands with pink fur on its arms and legs. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon
"Mienfoo, the Martial Arts Pokemon. Though small, Mienfoo's temperament is fierce. Any creature that approaches Mienfoo carelessly will be greeted with a flurry of graceful attacks." said the Rotom Phone. Clyde takes a pokeball out of his pocket.
"Come on out, Ralts." said Clyde as he throws Ralts' pokeball and releases him from it. Ralts stares at the Mienfoo and his body shifts a little bit.
"Hey. It looks like Ralts' Trace ability kicked in." said Lincoln. "I wonder what Mienfoo's ability is?"
"Okay, Ralts. Use Psybeam." said Clyde.
"Mienfoo, use Fake Out." said Master Mustard. Before Ralts can use Psybeam, Mienfoo fakes left, and moves in quickly and hits Ralts. After that, Ralts fires a beam of energy at Mienfoo, hitting it and doing super effective damage. Master Mustard looked shocked by something.
"That's odd. Why didn't Fake Out make Ralts flinch?" asked Master Mustard. Lincoln wondered something.
"Sir. What's Mienfoo's ability?" asked Lincoln.
"I believe it's Inner Focus." said Master Mustard. "Why do you ask?"
"Well, Clyde's Ralts has the Trace ability which allows him to copy his opponent's ability." said Lincoln.
"Now I understand; Inner Focus prevents a Pokemon from flinching." said Master Mustard. "Quite fortunate for Ralts."
"Ralts, use Draining Kiss." Ralts runs at Mienfoo and kisses its forehead, doing super effective damage and healing himself.
"Mienfoo, use Fury Swipes." said Master Mustard. Mienfoo rushes at Ralts and hits him with a flurry of slashes.
"Ralts, use Psybeam again." said Clyde. Ralts releases a beam of psychic energy at Mienfoo, hitting it and knocking it out.
"Yes! Way to go, Clyde!" cheered Lincoln. Clyde smiles at Lincoln and nods. Master Mustard returns Mienfoo to its pokeball.
"You fought well, Mienfoo." said Master Mustard. "I must say that I'm impressed, Clyde. Now let's see if you beat my last Pokemon." He takes out another pokeball and throws it, releasing a quadraped Pokemon with a blue upper body, black lower body, and a four-point star at the end of its tail. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the new Pokemon.
"Shinx, the Flash Pokemon. Electricity makes this Pokemon's fur glow. Shinx sends signals to others of its kind by shaking the tip of its tail while the tail tip is shining brightly." said the Rotom Phone. Shinx glares at Ralts, but Ralts stands strong. Master Mustard remembers something else.
"Oh no. My Shinx's ability is Intimidate which normally cuts an opposing Pokemon's strength in half. But Inner Focus makes Ralts immune to Intimidate's effect as well." said Master Mustard.
"Wow! It's a really good thing Ralts copied Inner Focus." said Lincoln.
"Yeah." said Clyde.
"Okay, Shinx. Use Bite." said Master Mustard. Shinx runs at Ralts and bites him, but thanks to Ralts' current Inner Focus ability, he doesn't flinch.
"Ralts, use Double Team." said Clyde. Multiple copies of Ralts appeared all over the arena floor.
"Shinx. Try using Spark on that one." said Master Mustard. Shinx turns towards one of the Ralts and charges at him with its body coated in electricity and rams him, only to reveal that it was just a copy.
"Ralts, use Disarming Voice." said Clyde. All but one of the Raltses disappear and the remaining one and releases a cry that sends out a shockwave at Shinx and hits it.
"Quick, Shinx. Use Spark before he can use Double Team." said Master Mustard. Shinx charges at Ralts and hits him with Spark, doing damage. Suddenly, Ralts' body twitches as electricity surges through it.
"Uh oh. Looks like Ralts has paralysis." said Lincoln.
"Do something, Clyde." said Leni.
"We won't let that stop us. Right, buddy?" said Clyde. Ralts nods. "Now use Draining Kiss, quickly." Ralts fights through paralysis and kisses Shinx's forehead, doing damage, draining its remaining stamina to heal himself and knocking Shinx out. The students who were watching were astounded.
"I don't believe it." said a male student.
"He beat Master Mustard." said a female student.
"Is he really just starting out as a trainer?" asked another student.
"Even though Master Mustard wasn't using his strongest Pokemon, it was still an amazing battle." said another student. Master Mustard returns Shinx to its pokeball.
"You were amazing, Shinx. Take a long rest." said Master Mustard. With Clyde; Lincoln and his sisters were congratulating him.
"That was awesome, Clyde." said Lana.
"You were amazing." said Lola.
"Totes." said Leni. Clyde smiles and rubs the back of his head in embarrassment.
"Gee. Thanks, guys." said Clyde. Lincoln reaches into his backpack and pulls out a Cheri Berry.
"Give this to Ralts. It'll cure him of paralysis." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, buddy." said Clyde. He gives Ralts the Cheri Berry and soon his paralysis was gone. Master Mustard walks up to Clyde and smiles at him.
"I must say that I'm impressed with your skills." said Master Mustard.
"Thank you, sir." said Clyde.
"After that battle, I feel that you will be a fine addition to our dojo. Welcome aboard, young man." said Master Mustard. He turns to the other students. "I expect you all to help Clyde if he needs it."
"Yes, Master." said the students. Just then, Ms. Honey returns with a dojo uniform in her arms.
"Here is your uniform, Clyde." said Ms. Honey. "If you want to change into it, use that room down the hall.
"Thank you, Ms. Honey." said Clyde. He goes to the room and enters it. Five minutes later, he comes out wearing his new uniform.
"Whoa. You look awesome, Clyde!" said Lincoln.
"You look rad, dude." said Luna.
"Not quite my color, but whatever works for you." said Lola.
"Thanks." said Clyde. Master Mustard walks up to the double doors and turns to look at everyone.
"With the enrollment of young Clyde, our dojo has reached max capacity." said Master Mustard.
'Why does the dojo have a max capacity?' Lincoln asked himself.
