Returning to the Isle of Armor
The next morning, after Lincoln, his sisters, and friends had breakfast, the group cleaned their dishes and packed up their supplies.
"You guys ready to return to the Isle of Armor?" asked Lincoln.
"Definitely." said Ronnie Anne. "After my gym battle, I feel I need to train my Pokemon more and catch Pokemon to prepare for opponents with type advantages. I didn't have any Pokemon that had an advantage over Milo's grass Pokemon. Sure, my Foongus learned that Clear Smog move, but I feel I need a Pokemon or two that have an advantage over grass Pokemon."
"That would be a good idea, Ronnie Anne." said Lincoln. "Fire, Bug, Flying, Poison, and Ice types have an advantage over them."
"Thanks, Linc." said Ronnie Anne.
"I want to find more pearls." said Lola. The others looked at her. "And train my Pokemon more, of course."
"I could use a Pokemon that have an advantage over water Pokemon, since I think that's what that Nessa gym leader uses." said Lana.
"And maybe we can make more stuff with Hyde's Cram-O-Matic." said Clyde.
"Let's get going then." said Lincoln. The others cheer in response. Lincoln uses his Rotom Phone to summon four Flying Taxies. A few minutes later, the Flying Taxies arrived. Leni and Luna climb into one together, Lana and Lola climb into another one, Clyde and Lucy climb into one, and Lincoln and Ronnie Anne climb into the last one. They all soon took off and after several minutes, the group arrived at the Isle of Armor in the Fields of Honor. The group climb out of the taxies, and Lola runs to the beach to dig in the sand for more pearls.
"I'm gonna look for some Max Mushrooms so I can make some Max Soup for my Alcremie." said Lincoln. Everyone in the group went on to do their own thing.
At the Forest of Focus, Lana was looking around for a Pokemon she could use against Nessa. She was looking through the grass when she sees a Pokemon with red feet that looks like it was tangled in blue vines.
"What's this Pokemon?" asked Lana as she pulls out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Tangela, the Vine Pokemon. The vines of a Tangela have a distinct scent. In some parts of Galar, Tangela vines are used as herbs." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"This says Tangela's a grass type. That's just what I need for my gym battle with Nessa." said Lana. She pulls a pokeball out of her pocket. "Salandit, go!" She throws Salandit's pokeball and releases her. "Okay, Salandit, Incinerate!" Salandit opens her mouth and unleashes a fireball from it and it hits Tangela, dealing super effective damage to it, knocking it to the ground. As it struggles to get up, Lana takes an empty pokeball out of her pocket and throws it at Tangela, hitting it and sucking it in. It wiggled around a couple times before it clicks, indicating a successful capture. "Oh yeah! Tangela is mine!" Tangela's pokeball is transported to storage due to Lana already having six Pokemon with her. She uses her Rotom Phone to transfer her Excadrill to storage and putting Tangela in her place. Lana uses her Rotom Phone to learn more about her new Tangela. "Okay, this says my Tangela's a boy, he knows Absorb, Bind, Stun Spore, Growth, and Mega Drain. He has the Chlorophyll ability which increases his speed when it's really sunny out."
In the Soothing Wetlands, Lincoln was focused on training his Leafeon by having him battle the water type Pokemon that can be found there, along with training his Alcremie. His Leafeon learned Baby-Doll Eyes, Leech Seed, and Magical Leaf; while his Alcremie learned Aromatherapy and Attract.
Also in the Soothing Wetlands, Ronnie Anne was training her Foongus and Luxio by battlling the water types that can be found there. Her Foongus learned Sweet Scent and Giga Drain, while her Luxio learned Roar.
"Where should we go next?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"I think I'll go to the Forest of Focus and look for some Max Mushrooms to make that Max Soup with for my Alcremie." said Lincoln.
"I'll come with." said Ronnie Anne. She and Lincoln walk over to the Forest of Focus where the sunlight was intense at the moment and go off to do their own things. As Lincoln searched for Max Mushrooms, Ronnie Anne decides to train her Rockruff for a bit by having it battle against mainly Venipedes. As she continues to look around, she sees a larvae-like Pokemon with a brown body with the front of it covered in white fuzz, along with five, reddish-orange protrusions sticking out of its body. She takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Larvesta, the Torch Pokemon. Larvesta's body is warm all over. It spouts fire from the tips of its horns to intimidate predators and scare prey." said the Rotom Phone.
"Likes to put on a show to scare off anyone who'd mess with it?" asked Ronnie Anne. "I guess I can relate." She then looks over at Rockruff who looks ready for battle. The Larvesta looks at them and glares at them. "Looks like it wants to fight."
"Well, let's not disappoint it then." said Rockruff, making Ronnie Anne smirk.
"Okay, then." said Ronnie Anne. "Use Rock Throw!" Rockruff summons a bunch of rocks and throws them at Larvesta, doing super effective damage, as well as lowering its speed. Larvesta retaliates by covering itself with fire and charges at Rockruff, hitting it, but not doing a lot of damage.
"I can take the heat!" says Rockruff. A surge of energy surges up from Larvesta's body.
"What's up with that?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"We should finish this now before we find out the hard way." said Rockruff.
"You got it!" said Ronnie Anne. "Rockruff, use Bite!" Rockruff runs at the Larvesta and bites down on it, making it flinch. Ronnie Anne then takes an empty pokeball and throws it at the Larvesta, hitting it, and sucking it in. The pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking, indicating a successful capture. "Yes! I caught Larvesta." After Larvesta's pokeball disappears to storage, she takes out her Rotom Phone and looks up her new Pokemon's information.
"This says that my Larvesta is a girl, she knows Ember, String Shot, Flame Charge, and Struggle Bug. She has the Flame Body ability which has a chance of burning any Pokemon that hits her with an attack that requires physical contact." said Ronnie Anne.
"Good thing it didn't burn me when I bit it." said Rockruff.
"Yeah." said Ronnie Anne. She uses her Rotom Phone and uses it to swap her Mienfoo for her new Larvesta. She lets Larvesta out of her pokeball to get to know her more.
"Hello, human." said Larvesta.
"You can call me Ronnie Anne." said Ronnie Anne.
"Very well, Ronnie Anne." said Larvesta. "What can I do for you?"
"Thought it would be a good idea if we hung out together and bond for a while by training you." said Ronnie Anne.
"I would like that very much. I really want to evolve into Volcarona." said Larvesta.
"Is that what your evolved form is called?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"Indeed; but for me to evolve, I'll need to become a lot, lot, LOT stronger. It will take quite a while to get to the level of strength necessary to do so." said Larvesta.
"Then we should get started immediately." said Ronnie Anne. Larvesta nods in response. Just then, Lincoln comes walking over to her.
"Hey, Ronnie Anne." said Lincoln, who then notices Larvesta. Ronnie Anne takes the time to introduce Lincoln to her.
"Meet Larvesta; my newest Pokemon." said Ronnie Anne.
"Is this human your boyfriend?" asked Larvesta, making Lincoln and Ronnie Anne blush.
"No!" said Lincoln and Ronnie Anne at the same time, making Rockruff chuckle.
"Actually, he's Lincoln; a friend of Ronnie Anne's...or so she says." said Rockruff with a smirk, making Ronnie Anne quickly returns Rockruff to her pokeball to avoid being embarrassed further.
"So did you find your Max Mushrooms yet?" asked Ronnie Anne. Lincoln reaches into his backpack and pulls out three of them.
"Yeah. I'm gonna head back to the dojo and get some soup made for Alcremie." said Lincoln.
"I'm gonna train Larvesta while you're doing that." said Ronnie Anne.
"Okay." said Lincoln as he runs out of the Forest of Focus. While Lincoln was going to get some Max Soup made, Ronnie Anne was training her Larvesta. She learned Flame Wheel, and Bug Bite. So far, everyone was doing well on their journey. What will happen next?
