Returning to the Wild Area
The group soon reaches Motostoke and they take a little time to let Sam have a look around.
"Whoa; this city is so big." said Sam.
"And check out the stadium." said Luna as she points towards Motostoke Stadium.
"It would be so rad to play at a stadium that big." said Sam. After a half hour of showing Sam the sights, they went to the nearest Pokemon Center to get their Pokemon treated. While they waited, they took the time to each buy three pokeballs. After their Pokemon were healed, they picked them up and left. They all leave Motostoke through the south gate.
"Well, Ronnie Anne and Sam; this is the Wild Area." said Lincoln after they reach the bottom of the stairs that lead into the city. Ronnie Anne and Sam look around.
"This place is big." said Ronnie Anne.
"We haven't explored the entire Wild Area yet, just this part." said Lincoln.
"Look at all these Pokemon Dens." said Ronnie Anne, looking at all the active Pokemon Dens in the Wild Area. She grabs Lincoln's arm. "Come on, Linc; lets go check one out." She runs off, pulling Lincoln with her.
"Come on, Sam; I'll help you look for Pokemon also." said Luna.
"Thanks, Lunes." replied Sam. She and Luna walk off. Leni pulls a fishing rod out of her backpack.
"I'm gonna look for a water Pokemon, you guys." said Leni. At the West Lake Axewell area, Ronnie Anne and Lincoln were walking to an active Pokemon Den; once there, they climb into it. Once inside, they see what appeared to be a bipedal, bluish-black, catlike Pokemon with three reds feathers for a tail and one over its left ear, a yellow jewel on its forehead and another on its chest, and large claws.
"What is that?" asked Ronnie Anne as she takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Sneasel, the Sharp Claw Pokemon. It has a cunning yet savage disposition. It waits for parents to leave their nests, and then it sneaks in to steal their eggs." said Ronnie Anne's Rotom Phone.
"This Pokemon looks so cool; I'm definitely catching it." said Ronnie Anne.
"According to your Rotom Phone, Sneasel's part ice and part dark; Larvesta would definitely have the advantage." said Lincoln. He and Ronnie Anne each pull out a pokeball.
"Go, Cinderace!" said Lincoln as he tosses Cinderace's pokeball and releases him.
"You too, Larvesta!" said Ronnie Anne, tossing Larvesta's pokeball and releases her. Ronnie Anne returns Larvesta to her pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band; she tosses Larvesta's pokeball and releases her, now Dynamaxed. "Okay, Larvesta, Max Flare!" Larvesta releases a powerful stream of fire from her mouth and it hits Sneasel, dealing super effective damage to it. Strong sunlight suddenly fills the area. "Where did this sunlight come from?"
"Max Flare makes intense sunlight once used." said Lincoln. "So now all fire type moves are even stronger now." Lincoln then decides to try out his Cinderace's new attack. "Okay, Cinderace; use Pyro Ball!" Cinderace kicks up a nearby rock and starts kick-juggling it, as he does, the rock catches fire which grows into a moderate-sized fireball, which he then kicks at the Sneasel, doing a lot of super effective damage thanks to his Charcoal and the intense sunlight.
"That was so cool!" said Ronnie Anne. The Sneasel responds by unleasheing a pillar of energy that shoots up from below Cinderace and hits him. "Okay, Larvesta; one more Max Flare!" Larvesta releases another stream of fire from herself which hits the Sneasel, doing enough super effective damage to cause the energy in it to explode.
"Now's your chance, Ronnie Anne!" said Lincoln. Ronnie Anne enlarges an empty pokeball with her Dynamax Band and throws it at Sneasel; it hits Sneasel and sucks it in. The pokeball moved around a few times before it clicks, indicating a successful capture.
"Oh yeah! Sneasel's mine!" said Ronnie Anne. She looks up her new Sneasel's information on her Rotom Phone. "This says my Sneasel's a boy, he knows Scratch, Leer, Taunt, Quick Attack, and Metal Claw; he has the Keen Eye ability which keeps his accuracy from being lowered."
The two soon were transported out of the den where Ronnie Anne sees some nuggets on the ground, along with some berries, and a Technical Record for Throat Chop. Sneasel's pokeball was transported to storage.
"Let's keep looking around." said Ronnie Anne. While she and Lincoln continue to explore some more; Lincoln's sisters, Clyde, and Sam were sitting around the lake while Clyde had Lincoln's fishing rod's line in the water.
"Man, this is boring just waiting around for a Pokemon to take a bite." said Lola.
"I wish Gramps was here, he would know what to do." said Lana. Just then, something tugged on the line.
"Hey! You caught something!" said Luna. Clyde quickly pulls the line out of the water, revealing a Goldeen on the end of it.
"It's a Goldeen!" said Leni. "I, totes, want it!"
"Then catch it, Leni!" said Luna.
"Okay." said Leni. She takes out her Dedenne's pokeball and lets her out of it. "Dedenne, use Thunder Shock!" Dedenne releases a jolt of electricity from her body which hits Goldeen, doing super effective damage. Leni then quickly takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Goldeen, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before it clicks.
"You did it, Leni!" said Lana. Leni reaches out over the water and grabs her new Goldeen's pokeball.
"I, totes, caught a Goldeen!" said Leni. She looks up her new Goldeen's information on her Rotom Phone. "My new Goldeen is a girl, she knows Peck, Tail Whip, Supersonic, and Water Pulse; she has the Water Veil ability which can keep her from being burned."
"And Kabu specializes in fire-types, so that ability would be useful." said Clyde. Goldeen's pokeball soon gets sent to storage, and Leni uses her Rotom Phone to swap her Eevee for Goldeen.
"Maybe you should train her until it gets dark?" suggested Lana.
"Okay." said Leni. Everyone, except Ronnie Anne and Lincoln who were off somewhere else, helped Leni train her Goldeen for her eventual Gym Battle against Kabu, and she made quick progress. By the time the sun was nearly down, she learned Horn Attack, Agility, and Aqua Ring.
Everyone meets up at the stairs leading into Motostoke and plan what to do next.
"Should we start setting up camp for the night?" asked Luna.
"Nah, we're already near Motostoke and we have plenty of money on us, so let's get a few hotel rooms at the Budew Inn." said Lincoln.
"Ooh, I love that idea." said Lola. "Can we get suites?"
"As long as we can afford it, I don't see why not." said Lincoln.
"I can sell the Nuggets I found for some more money." said Ronnie Anne.
"All right, then; let's go." said Lincoln. Everyone cheers and enter Motostoke to rest up for their big gym matches tomorrow.
