Another Day at the Isle of Armor
After everyone left the Stow-on-Side stadium, they all head to the Pokemon Center to get their Pokemon treated. As they all had lunch while they waited, they go over what to do next.
"So, where's the next gym located?" asked Ronnie Anne. Lincoln brings up the map on his Rotom Phone.
"The nearest one is in a place called Ballonlea." said Lincoln.
"How far is it?" asked Clyde.
"It's not really that far at all." said Lincoln. "It's in the forest that's on the north edge of this city."
"Great." said Sam.
"When should we go over there?" asked Leni.
"Maybe we should let our Pokemon have the rest of the day off." said Lincoln. "They battled really hard today."
"Allister was one tough trainer." said Luna. Lucy smiles at the mention of his name.
"What do you want to do?" asked Clyde.
"How about we go to the Isle of Armor and hang out on the beach for the rest of the day?" suggested Lincoln.
"Sunshine? Ughh." Lucy replied. "But I'll go anyway just to get some Max Soup for my Gengar."
"And I should get some for my Cinderace also." said Lincoln.
"We should have Mom and Dad send over our swimsuits and other beach stuff." said Lana.
"Good idea." said Leni. She takes out her Rotom Phone and uses it to call the Loud house; a few seconds later, her mother answers.
"Hi, sweetie." said Rita.
"Congratulations on winning your gym battles against that ghost boy." said Lynn Sr.
"We were wondering if you could send us our beach stuff." said Leni.
"How come?" asked Rita.
"We plan on relaxing on a beach with our Pokemon for the rest of the day." said Luna.
"Well, they did battle hard today and probably could use some R&R." said Lynn Jr.
"We shall send it over right away." said Lisa.
"I'll get Sam's stuff." said Simon.
"We'll get Clyde's." said Howard McBride.
"And I'll buy some stuff for Ronnie Anne in town." said Maria.
"Okay, everyone." said Lincoln. As the group waits for the delivery, what they didn't know was that Marnie was nearby listening while looking at Lincoln.
'So Lincoln's having a day at the beach, huh?' Marnie thought to herself before smiling as an idea pops into her head.
Half an hour later, several grocery bags appear outside the Pokemon Center, each one labelled with a group member's name.
"We got them." said Leni.
"Thanks, everyone." said Lincoln.
"You're welcome, son." said Lynn Sr.
"You kids have a good time." said Rita.
"And make sure you put on plenty of sunblock, Clyde." said Harold.
"And keep your floaties on when you're in the water." said Howard.
"Sure thing, Dads." said Clyde. After Leni ends the call, Lincoln uses his Rotom Phone to call for a few Flying Taxis. Several minutes later, the Flying Taxis arrived; everyone climbs into them and start heading for the Isle of Armor.
Twenty minutes later, they all arrive at the Fields of Honor;as they head to the Master Dojo, Sam sees an active Pokemon Den.
"Hey, you guys mind if I check out that Den first?" asked Sam.
"Sure, but use a Pokemon that hasn't battled at the Stow-on-Side gym." replied Lincoln.
"Got it, dude." said Sam. She runs to the Pokemon Den and climbs into it; seconds later, she found herself looking at a giant, light green Pokemon that resembled a plant bulb. Sam pulls out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Petilil, the Bulb Pokemon. The deeper the color of a Petilil's leaves, the healthier the Pokémon is. Petilil sometimes makes its home in a well-tended field or flowerbed." said Sam's Rotom Phone. Sam pulls out a pokeball and throws it, releasing her Toxtricity. Sam then returns her to her pokeball and she uses her Dynamax Band to enlarge it; she throws it, releasing a now Dynamaxed Toxtricity.
"Okay, Toxtricity, Max Ooze!" said Sam. Purple slime form around Toxtricity and it spreads over to Petilil, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage. Toxtricity begins surging with energy and her special attack increases. Petilil unleashes green seed from its body and they land near Toxtricity; mushrooms and grass made of green energy grow out of the ground and they explode, but not doing much damage to Toxtricity; grass grows out of the ground. The grass glows and some of Toxtricity and Petilil's wounds heal.
"Max Ooze once more!" said Sam. Purple slime forms around Toxtricity and it spreads to Petilil, dealing more damage than the previous Max Ooze due to Toxtricity's increased special attack strength. Petilil's energy explode and it begins stumbling around. Sam takes out an empty pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band; she throws it and it hits Petilil. It gets sucked into the pokeball and it crashes onto the ground. It moved around a couple times before it shrinks to its regular size and clicks.
"Awesome; Petilil's mine!" cheered Sam. Petilil's pokeball gets transported to storage; Sam soon found herself back in the Isle of Armor. She sees two Balm Mushrooms, several berries, and a Technical Record for a move called Energy Ball and picks them up; she looks at the Energy Ball Technical Record.
"Maybe I should use this on Gourgeist." said Sam. She then uses her Rotom Phone to look up Petilil's information. This says Petilil's a girl, she knows Absorb, Growth, Helping Hand, Stun Spore, Mega Drain, Aromatherapy, Magical Leaf, Sleep Powder, Giga Drain, and Leech Seed; she has the Own Tempo ability which prevents her from being confused or getting her attack power lowered by the Intimidate ability." She runs to the group. "Sorry to keep you waiting."
"It's cool, Sam." said Luna. The group then run to the Master Dojo and use the changing room in their to get into their swimsuits; once that was done, they all head to the beach, let out their Pokemon, and unpack all their beach stuff.
"Who's ready for some fun in the sun?" asked Lincoln.
"We are." everyone else but Lucy cheers out.
"Pass." said Lucy as she finds a shady palm tree to sit under. Everyone else starts having fun.
Leni, Luna, and Sam were lying on beach towels, working on their tans; while Lincoln, Clyde, and Ronnie Anne were swimming in the ocean, the twins were on the beach making a sand castle, and the Pokemon were just chilling.
"Boy, our Pokemon really needed this." said Lincoln as he floats on his back in the ocean.
"They've been training so hard they earned some time off." said Ronnie Anne.
"And we've been travelling across Galar a lot also." said Lana.
"Even a superstar like me knows that it's important to relax now and then." said Lola as she and Lana work on another tower of their sand castle.
As Lincoln was floating along, something holds his shoulders; he looks, and to his surprise, he sees Marnie behind him, wearing a magenta swimsuit, and she had her hair let down so it hung just over her shoulders; Lincoln blushes when he sees her.
"Hi, Lincoln." said Marnie.
"H-H-Hi, Marnie." stammered Lincoln, making Marnie chuckle a bit which makes Lincoln blush more.
"Hey, Marnie." said Lana.
"What brings you here?" Luna asked from the shore.
"I overheard you were all coming here to relax, so I thought I'd come and hang out with Lincoln." said Marnie, making most everyone giggle, while Ronnie Anne scowls at her. Lincoln gets back on his feet as he and Marnie stare at each other with blushes on their faces.
"Don't mind us." said Sam in a teasing manner, making Lincoln blush a bit more.
"Want to go swimming with me?" asked Marnie.
"S-S-Sure." Lincoln stutters. Marnine grabs Lincoln's hand which makes him blush and pulls him out deeper into the sea while everyone watches.
"Lincoln's so lucky." said Clyde while Ronnie Anne pouts with her arms crossed.
"YOU CAN DO IT, MARNIE!" shouts someone from behind the group, making them turn to see several Team Yell members that were wearing swimwear and holding a large banner that had hand drawn pictures of Marnie and Lincoln's faces with a big heart between them.
"MAKE THAT LINCOLN KID YOURS!" said a female Team Yell member.
"MARNIECOLN FOREVER!" shouts another Team Yell member. The group just stares at Team Yell's antics.
"Whoa, they're intense." said Sam.
"Maybe we should be supportive like that?" suggested Leni. Everyone but Ronnie Anne nods in response.
"You can do it, Lincoln!" shouts Clyde.
"Find true love!" shouts Lola. One of Ronnie Anne's eyes twitches as everyone was supporting Marnie and Lincoln's possible relationship.
Meanwhile, Lincoln and Marnie were in a deep part of a part of the ocean called Workout Sea.
"Man, I'm so glad that you're here." said Lincoln.
"Really?" replied Marnie as she blushes a bit.
"Yeah, I really am." said Lincoln as he looks away with a blush.
"Let's go underwater and see what we can find." said Marnie. She and Lincoln dive down into the sea to explore.
"They went underwater!" shouts Lana.
"How are we going to see if they get along well enough?" asked Luna.
"I'm sure Linky will do fine." said Leni. "We pretty much taught him everything about how to properly treat a lady."
"That's true." said Lola.
Back with Marnie and Lincoln, they were seeing all the sights that were to be found underwater, including the Pokemon; they saw a small blue manta ray-like Pokemon, a blue jellyfish one with a red dome on each side of its head and a small one over its eyes, and a light blue lobster-like one with a pincer that's larger than the other.
'This is so amazing!' Lincoln thinks to himself. He feels something grab his hand, making him look to see that it was Marnie who was giving him a warm smile, making his face and heart feel warm in return; he smiles in response.
All of a sudden, a large school of pink, heart-shaped Pokemon swims in between them.
'What are these Pokemon?' asked Lincoln. After a few minutes, they couldn't hold their breathes any longer and head back up to the surface.
"That was fun." said Marnie.
"I know, right?" Lincoln replied. They both then decide to head back to the shore to rejoin the others.
"You two have fun?" asked Luna in a teasing manner, making Lincoln and Marnie look at each other with blushes on their face, then nod in response, making everyone else squeal or shout with joy.
"What kind of Pokemon did you see underwater?" asked Lana. He gives everyone a description of the Pokemon they all saw.
"Too bad I didn't have my Rotom Phone with me; but it probably wouldn't have worked underwater anyway." said Lincoln.
"Perhaps I can help with that." said a voice from nearby; everyone looks to see Master Mustard and Ms. Honey walking over to them.
"Hello, Master Mustard." said Clyde.
"How have you kids been?" asked Master Mustard.
"We've been doing awesome!" said Lana.
"That's good to hear." said Ms. Honey.
"What kind of Pokemon did you see?" asked Master Mustard. Lincoln then gives descriptions of all the Pokemon he saw while underwater.
"The blue manta ray-like one was most likely a Mantyke." said Master Mustard.
"The blue jellyfish one was a Tentacool." said Ms. Honey.
"And the blue one with the large pincer was most likely a Clauncher." said Master Mustard.
"What about those pink heart-shaped ones?" asked Lincoln.
"I heard about those; they were called Luvdiscs." said Ms. Honey. "But they're not usually found in this part of the world."
"Yeah, well a whole bunch of them swam between Marnie and I while we were swimming." said Lincoln. A smirk appears on Ms. Honey's face that Master Mustard notices.
"What is it, honey?" asked Master Mustard.
"Just a little something I heard about regarding Luvdiscs." said Ms. Honey. "It's said that any couple that meets them will be blessed with eternal love." Lincoln and Marnie look at each other with blushes on their faces while Lincoln's sisters squeal with delight, and Team Yell cheers loudly.
"IT'S A SIGN!" shouts a Team Yell member.
"You two, totes, belong together!" said Leni.
"Way to go, buddy!" shouts Clyde. Ronnie Anne just crosses her arms with a pout. After all the commotion dies down, everyone just relaxes the rest of the afternoon. They all go to the Master Dojo to get changed back into their regular clothes, then had dinner, with Lincoln and Marnie sitting next to each other.
"So, what are you going to do now, Lincoln?" asked Marnie.
"Once we're done eating, we're going to look for more Max Mushrooms to make Max Soup for Lucy's Gengar and my Cinderace." said Lincoln.
"What's Max Soup?" asked Marnie.
"It's a special soup that gives some Pokemon the ability to Gigantamax." said Lincoln.
"That sounds like that would help you in the Gym Challenge." said Marnie. After everyone finishes eating, they all exit the dojo.
"What's next for you, Marnie?" asked Luna.
"I'm still doing the Gym Challenge." said Marnie. "I should get back to work on that."
"Hope to see you soon." said Lincoln, making his sisters giggle and Marnie blush. As he and the rest of his group turn to head for the Forest of Focus, Marnie grabs his shoulder, turns him towards her, and gives him a quick kiss on the lips, making his face turn red, and his sisters squeal with delight.
"YOU DID IT, MARNIE!" shouts a Team Yell member.
"MARNIECOLN! MARNIECOLN!" chants another Team Yell member.
"I hope to see you later also, Lincoln." said Marnie as she runs off with Team Yell following after her.
After Lincoln's blush dies down and his sisters calmed down, they head for the Forest of Focus in search of more Max Mushroom. After an hour of searching, Lincoln and Lucy were both able to find enough Max Mushrooms for Ms Honey to make the Max Soup with. Sam also took the time to use the Energy Ball Technical Record she found in the Pokemon Den on her Gourgeist.
Meanwhile, Clyde was exploring the Potbottom Desert for new Pokemon to capture, as he does, he sees a Fire Stone sticking out of the sand.
"Hey, a Fire Stone." said Clyde as he grabs the Fire Stone. "I think I'll use this on my Eevee." He takes Eevee's pokeball out of his pocket and tosses it, releasing Eevee. "Hey, Eevee, want to evolve?" Eevee nods in response. Clyde touches Eevee with the Fire Stone and she begins to glow and change shape; when the glowing stopped, Eevee was bigger with reddish orange fur with a bushy yellow tail, a tuft of yellow fur on her head, and a yellow mane around its chest and neck. Clyde takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at her newly evolved Eevee.
"Flareon, the Flame Pokemon, and the evolved form of Eevee. It stores some of the air it inhales in its internal flame pouch, which heats it to over 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"Cool; and according this, you now know Ember, Fire Fang, Fire Spin, and Lava Plume." said Clyde. "You also have the Flash Fire ability which makes it that fire type attacks do no harm to you, but instead increases the power of your fire type moves." Clyde then returns Flareon to her pokeball and begins to leave the desert.
Later at the Master Dojo, Lincoln and Lucy were giving Ms Honey their Max Mushrooms.
"Very good, you two; these are enough Max Mushrooms to make Max Soup for both of your Pokemon." said Ms Honey. "I'll get started on them right away."
"Thanks, Ms Honey." said Lincoln. After the Max Soup was made, Lincoln lets out his Cinderace while Lucy lets out her Gengar; they feed their Pokemon the soup and a surge of energy rises up out of them.
Later, outside the Master Dojo, everyone was climbing into Flying Taxis.
"Come back again sometime." said Ms. Honey. They all then head back to Stow-on-Side and check into the motel they stayed at the night before where they called the Loud house.
"So, how was the beach today, kids?" asked Lynn Sr. They all told them about their time at the Isle of Armor; the sisters back in Royal Woods got excited when the kiss between Marnie and Lincoln was mentioned.
"Way to go, bro!" said Lynn Jr.
"The Luvdiscs part sounds so romantic!" said Lori.
"I hope things work out between you and Marnie, Lincoln." said Luan with a smirk. They talk for a while longer before ending the call. Most everyone goes right to bed while Lucy sneaks out.
Later on a rooftop, Lucy sees Allister sitting where she found him last night who waves her over; the two sit together while leaning against each other as they look up at the moon.
"I'm glad you're here, Lucy." said Allister.
"So am I, Allister." Lucy replied.
