Ronnie Anne vs Hop
Outside Hammerlock, Lincoln and the others meet up.
"So, how'd you guys do?" asked Lincoln.
"I caught a Cottoneee." said Lola, holding out Cottonee's Heal Ball.
"I caught a Honedge." said Lucy from behind Lola, scaring her. "It's a Doublade now."
"I caught a rockin' Lunatone." said Luna.
"I caught a Solrock." said Sam.
"I also found a Star Piece I can sell." said Lola.
"Me, too." said Lana.
"I found a Balm Mushroom." said Lincoln.
"I got a Rare Bone." said Clyde.
"I found this sun-shaped rock." said Ronnie Anne, holding out an orange stone that looks like a sun.
"A Sun Stone!" said Lola. "I looked up Cottonee after I caught her; she needs a Sun Stone to evolve." She holds out her Star Piece. "Trade you!"
"Sure." said Ronnie Anne. She traded her Sun Stone for Lola's Star Piece. Lola tosses Cottonee's Heal Ball and releases her. Lola then touches Cottonee with the Sun Stone and she begins to glow; she began to change shape. When the glowing stopped, Cottonee had a bipedal, brown body with a white fluffy mane covering her forehead, neck, and back, and a pair of curled green horns. Lola takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at her newly evolved Cottonee.
"Whimsicott, the Windveiled Pokemon, and the evolved form of Cottonee. As long as this Pokémon bathes in sunlight, its cotton keeps growing. If too much cotton fluff builds up, Whimsicott tears it off and scatters it." said Lola's Rotom Phone.
"And my Whimsicott now knows Energy Ball, Sunny Day, Endeavor, Cotton Guard, and Solar Beam." said Lola.
After Lola returns Whimsicott to her Heal Ball, the group entered Hammerlocke and went to the Pokemon Center to heal their Pokemon, as well as sell the valuables they found. After the group got their Pokemon back, they exited the Pokemon Center and travelled east. As they did, Lincoln sees Sonia.
"Hey, Sonia." said Lincoln, getting her attention.
"Hello, everyone." said Sonia. "How the badge collecting going?"
"Awesome; we each have five badges." said Lincoln.
"Great." replied Sonia. "I've been doing research on the ruins on Stow-on-Side; the sword and shield, what kind of Pokemon were they, and where are they now?"
"We're sure you'll figure it out." said Clyde.
"I still have so many questions; I was thinking about taking another look at the tapestries in..." Sonia began to say before she was cut off by a loud explosion that shook the ground.
"What was that?!" asked Leni.
"I think that came from Hammerlocke Stadium!" said Sonia, looking at the stadium in the center of Hammerlocke." said Sonia. "That's where Chairman Rose's power plant is." Her Rotom Phone suddenly chimed; she takes it out of her pocket and looks at it. "A Power Spot?!"
"Is something wrong?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm getting readings from the Power Spot Detector." said Sonia. "Does that mean that Dynamaxing is possible here?" Just then, Leon runs over to them.
"Did you all feel that shaking too?" asked Leon. "Seems Chairman Rose is testing something again."
"This is bad. Pokemon might start Dynamaxing in the middle of Hammerlocke." said Sonia.
"I'll make sure the Chairman knows." said Leon.
"I'll go with you; you'll just get lost." said Sonia.
"You need help?" asked Lincoln.
"No; you and the others just focus on your next gym battles." said Sonia.
"You sure?" asked Clyde.
"Yes; leave the investigation on the quaking to the adults." said Sonia. She and Leon both ran towards Hammerlocke Stadium.
"Hey, guys!" said Hop from inside a train station.
"Hey, Hop." said Lincoln. Hop runs over to them.
"Man; first that forest, then that mad quiz at the Ballonlea gym; I've been lost in every sense of the word." said Hop. "But it looks like I've finally got caught up to you again. How about one of you battle me on Route 7; I could use a bit of competition to motivate me."
"Sure, I'll battle you." said Ronnie Anne.
"Okay then; meet you on Route 7." said Hop. He runs east of Hammerlocke while the others followed after him. Moments later on Route 7, Ronnie Anne and Hop were facing each other while the others watched.
"So, how many Pokemon are we using?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"How does five sound?" asked Hop.
"Sounds fine to me." said Ronnie Anne. She and Hop each pull out a pokeball.
"Go, Trevanant!" said Hop, throwing a pokeball and releasing a Trevenant.
"Hawlucha, go!" said Ronnie Anne, throwing Hawlucha's pokeball and releasing her. "Hawlucha, use Hone Claws!" Hawlucha's claws glowed red and an orange aura surrounded her body, raising her attack and accuracy.
"Trevanant, use Shadow Claw!" said Hop. Trevanant lunges at Hawlucha while a black aura surrounds its arm and it scratches Hawlucha with it, knocking her back.
"Hawlucha, use Wing Attack!" said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha flies at Trevanant and strikes it with one of her wings, dealing super effective damage.
"Use Will-o-Wisp!" said Hop. Trevanant launches light blue fireballs at Hawlucha and they hit her; fire surrounds Hawlucha's body.
"Hawlucha's burned!" said Lincoln.
"Hawlucha, use Aerial Ace!" said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha flies at Trevanant while white streaks of light surrounds her body and she rams into Trevanant, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"Awesome work, Hawlucha." said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha nods before flinching in pain from her burn and losing some stamina. Hop returns Trevanant to its pokeball.
"You were great, Trevanant." said Hop. He puts Trevanant's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Go, Boltund!" He throws a pokeball and releases a Boltund.
"Hawlucha, Tackle!" said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha flies at Boltund and rams it, knocking it back.
"Boltund, Spark!" said Hop. Boltund becomes surrounded by electricity and it charges at Hawlucha, ramming her, and dealing super effective damage. Hawlucha receives more damage from her burn.
"Hawlucha, use Roost!" said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha begins to glow and some of her wounds heal.
"Boltund, Nuzzle!" said Hop. Boltund runs at Hawlucha while electricity surrounds its cheeks.
"Detect!" said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha's eyes glowed light blue and she dodges Boltund's attack. "Now use Tackle!" Hawlucha flies at Boltund and rams it, knocking it back. Hawlucha receives damage from her burn.
"Use Spark!" said Hop. Boltund becomes surrounded by electricity and it rams Hawlucha, dealing super effective damage, and knocking her out. "Way to go, Boltund!" Ronnie Anne returns Hawlucha to her pokeball.
"You were so cool out there, Hawlucha." said Ronnie Anne. She puts Hawlucha's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Go, Lycanroc!" She throws Lycanroc's pokeball and releases her. "Lycanroc, use Howl"! Lycanroc lets out a loud howl and her attack strength increases.
"Boltund, use Spark!" said Hop. Boltund charges at Lycanroc while surrounded by electricity, and rams her.
"Use Rock Slide!" said Ronnie Anne. Lycanroc glows white and gray rocks appeared above Boltund and they fall onto it, damaging it.
"Use Nuzzle!" said Hop. Boltund runs at Lycanroc while its cheeks were surrounded by electricity.
"Double Team!" said Ronnie Anne. Lycanroc turns into several copies of herself; Boltund rubs its cheeks against one, but it was only a copy. "Now use Bite!" The real Lycanroc leaps at Boltund and bites it, damaging it, and making it flinch. "Rock Throw!" Lycanroc launches rocks from its tail and they hit Boltund, knocking it out. "Great job, Lycanroc." Hop returns Boltund to its pokeball.
"You were great, Boltund." said Hop. He puts Boltund's pokeball away, and pulls out another one. "Go, Snorlax!" He throws a pokeball and releases a huge, bluish-green Pokemon with a cream colored face, belly, and feet.
"Look at the size of that Pokemon!" said Leni as she takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokemon, and the evolved form of Munchlax. This Pokémon's stomach is so strong, even eating moldy or rotten food will not affect it." said Leni's Rotom Phone.
"Kind of like Lana's." said Lola.
"Lycanroc, Rock Tomb!" said Ronnie Anne. Lycanroc glows white and gray rocks form above Snorlax and they fall onto it, damaging it.
"Heavy Slam!" said Hop. Snorlax jumps up and a silver aura forms around its body; it falls onto Lycanroc, dealing super effective damage to her; she struggles to get up.
"Use Counter!" said Ronnie Anne. Lycanroc becomes surrounded by a light red aura and it punches Snorlax, dealing super effective damage to it.
"Use Crunch!" said Hop. Snorlax bites Lycanroc's back, knocking her out. "Great work, Snorlax!"
"Don't give up, Ronnie Anne!" said Lincoln.
"Keep battling!" said Clyde. Ronnie Anne returns Lycanroc to her pokeball.
"You did your best, Lycanroc." said Ronnie Anne. She puts Lycanroc's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Luxray, go!" She throws Luxray's pokeball and releases him. "Luxray, Electric Terrain!" Electricity comes out of Luxray's body and it forms into a dome around him and Snorlax.
"Snorlax, Body Slam!" said Hop. Snorlax jumps up and slams onto Luxray, damaging him.
"Luxray, use Spark!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray becomes surrounded by electricity and rams Snorlax, knocking it out. "Great job, Luxray!" Hop returns Snorlax to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Snorlax." said Hop. He puts Snorlax's pokeball away, and pulls out another one. "Heatmor, go!" He throws a pokeball and releases a Heatmor. "Heatmor, use Fire Lash!" A long, thin stream of fire comes out of Heatmor's mouth and it hits Luxray with it, damaging it, and weakening his defense.
"Luxray, use Bite!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray runs at Heatmor and bites it, dealing damage.
"Heatmor, use Slash!" said Hop. Heatmor runs at Luxray and slashes him with its claws, damaging him.
"Luxray, use Charge!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray becomes surrounded by sparks and his special defense increases.
"Heatmor, use Fury Swipes!" said Hop. Heatmor runs at Luxray and rapidly claws him, damaging him.
"Luxray, Spark!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray charges at Heatmor while electricity surrounded his body and he rams Heatmor, damaging it, and knocking it out. "Woot woot! Great job, Luxray!"
"You're doing great, Ronnie Anne!" said Leni.
"Keep it up!" said Sam. Hop returns Heatmor to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Heatmor." said Hop. He puts Heatmor's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "You're a strong trainer, Ronnie Anne; but lets see how you do against my final Pokemon; Rillaboom, go!" He throws a pokeball and releases a brown, gorilla-like Pokemon that had a bush of green leaves on top of its head and back; it had a tree stump-like drum in front of it, and held a pair of large drumsticks.
"What's that rockin-lookin Pokemon?" asked Luna as she points her Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Rillaboom, the Drummer Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Grookey. The one with the best drumming techniques becomes the boss of the troop. It has a gentle disposition and values harmony among its group." said Luna's Rotom Phone.
"Awesome." said Sam.
"Luxray, use Bite!" said Ronnie Anne. Luxray runs at Rillaboom and bites it, damaging it.
"Rillaboom, Drum Beating!" said Hop. Rillaboom beats on its drum and a pair of large roots come out of the ground at Luxray and they hit him, dealing damage, and knocking him out. "Great job, Rillaboom!" Rillaboom responds by hitting his drum sticks together. Ronnie Anne returns Luxray to his pokeball.
"You were amazing out here, Luxray." said Ronnie Anne. She puts Luxray's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Go, Larvesta!" She throws Larvesta's pokeball and releases her.
"Rillaboom, Slam!" said Hop. Rillaboom grabs Larvesta and slams her onto the ground, damaging her.
"Larvesta, Flame Wheel!" said Ronnie Anne. Larvesta crawls towards Rillaboom while a wheel of fire surrounds her body and it hits Rillaboom, dealing super effective damage.
"Rillaboom, Double Hit!" said Hop. Rillaboom leaps at Larvesta and hits her with its drumsticks, damaging her.
"Larvesta, use Leech Life!" said Ronnie Anne. Larvesta leaps at Rillaboom and bites it, dealing super effective damage and draining some of its stamina while healing Larvesta's wounds.
"Use Knock Off!" said Hop. Rillaboom hits Larvesta with one of its drumsticks, knockng her back.
"Bug Bite!" said Ronnie Anne. Larvesta leaps at Rillaboom and bites it, dealing super effective damage to it. Rillaboom becomes surrounded by a green aura.
"Rillaboom's Overgrow ability!" said Hop. "Rillaboom, Drum Beating!" Rillaboom beats its drum with its drumsticks and large roots come of the ground at Larvesta and hits her, but not dealing much damage.
"Larvesta, use Leech Life!" said Ronnie Anne. Larvesta leaps at Rillaboom and bites it, dealing super effective damage and knocking it out.
"Ronnie Anne did it!" said Lincoln.
"Way to go, Ronnie Anne!" said Clyde.
"That was a great battle!" said Lana. Hop returns Rillaboom to its pokeball.
"You did great out there, Rillaboom." said Hop. He puts Rillaboom's pokeball away and walks to Ronnie Anne. "That was an intense battle."
"Yeah." said Ronnie Anne. Hop gives Ronnie Anne pokedollars.
"I'm definitely motivated to train harder." said Hop.
"Same here." said Ronnie Anne.
"Well, I better get my Pokemon to the Pokemon Center." said Hop.
"Maybe I should do the same." said Ronnie Anne. After Ronnie Anne returns Larvesta to her pokeball, the group and Hop run back to Hammerlocke to get their Pokemon treated.
