As soon as the group was nearing the road to Circhester, they were met with a sudden blast of cold air.
"Brrrrrrrrrrrr!" said Clyde as he shivered. "Why is it so cold?" The group then looks past the tunnel leading to a road close to Circhester and see there was snow everywhere.
"How are we gonna get through this without getting frostbite?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"I'll call home and see if our families can send us our winter wear." said Lincoln.
"Good idea." said Luna. Lincoln uses his Rotom Phone to call his mother.
"Hi, sweetie." said Rita.
"Hi, Mom." said the Loud kids.
"Is Dad doing okay?" asked Lana.
"He's still upset that some of you plan on staying in Galar." said Rita. "But if what you all have planned is something you want to do, then you'll have our support."
"Thanks, Mommy." said Lola.
"And maybe Lisa will perfect teleportation so we can send ourselves home and back here someday." said Lincoln.
"That would really make your father feel better." said Rita.
"Anyway, could you send us our winter clothes?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah, our next stop is in a spot that's pretty snowy and cold." said Lana.
"And maybe you can ask Clyde's dads, Ronnie Anne's mom, and Sam's family to send their winter stuff also." suggested Lucy.
"Okay, just hang on a while." said Rita.
"Thanks, Mom." said Leni.
The group hangs out for about half an hour before several bags appeared in a flash of light.
"Looks like they're here." said Lucy.
"Finally!" said Lola. The group goes through the bags and each person finds their respective clothing; after they put it on, they start making their way to Circhester.
"Snowball fight!" shouts Lana as she grabs some snow and throws it at Lola.
"Oh yeah?!" Lola replied as she throws a snowball back at Lana; soon, everyone started to get into it.
Twenty minutes later after everyone was done and rested up, they kept walking until they finally reached Circhester.
"Okay; before we head to the gym, lets find the Pokemon Center and have our Pokemon healed." said Lincoln. Everyone nods in response. After the group finds a Pokemon Center, they went inside. They were approached by a teenage boy who had a gray, humanoid Pokemon with hairlike growths on its head, a round red nose, and violet, veinlike bulges on its body that was carrying a metal beam with him. Lana takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Gurdurr, the Muscular Pokemon and the evolved form of Timburr. Gurdurr excels at demolition—construction is not its forte. In any case, there's skill in the way this Pokémon wields its metal beam."
"Excuse me, but can any of you do a mock trade with my Gurdurr for me?" asked the boy.
"Sure; I have a Poliwhirl I need to do a mock trade with." replied Luna.
"Thanks." said the boy; he returns Gurdurr to its pokeball. Luna and the boy used their Rotom Phones to trade Luna's Poliwhirl for the boy's Gurdurr; after the trade was done, they traded them back to each other.
"So, what's your Poliwhirl like now, Luna?" asked Sam. Luna tosses her Poliwhirl's pokeball, releasing a bipedal, green, froglike Pokemon with yellow hands, toes, lower jaw, and belly with a green swirl design on it, as well as a long, green, curled hair on its head. The boy tossed his pokeball, releasing a large, humanoid, light brown Pokemon with a single growth on top of its head, a round red nose, carrying a pair of concrete pillars. Luna points her pokedex at her newly evolved Poliwhirl.
"Politoed, the Frog Pokemon and the final evolved form of Poliwag. The cry of a male is louder than that of a female. Male Politoed with deep, menacing voices find more popularity with the opposite gender." said Luna's Rotom Phone.
"Awesome; and this says my Politoed learned Bounce when he evolved." said Luna. Ronnie Anne points her Rotom Phone at the boy's newly evolved Gurdurr.
"Conkeldurr, the Muscular Pokemon and the final evolved form of Timburr. When going all out, this Pokémon throws aside its concrete pillars and leaps at opponents to pummel them with its fists." said Ronnie Anne's Rotom Phone.
"Thanks." said Conkeldurr's trainer.
"No problem." replied Luna. Conkeldurr's trainer returned Conkeldurr to its pokeball and walks away. After Luna returned Politoed to his pokeball, the group gives the nurse their Pokemon.
"You know, guys; it's been a long day." said Lincoln. "How about we challenge the gym tomorrow."
"Good idea; I am a little beat." said Clyde. They left the Pokemon Center to find a restaurant to have dinner at; they found one called 'Bob's your Uncle' and went inside. Over an hour later, they exited the restaurant.
"That food was totes good." said Leni, patting her belly. The group then went to a hotel to spend the night. The next morning, after having breakfast at 'Bob's your Uncle', they returned to the Pokemon Center and picked up their Pokemon.
"You guys ready to earn your sixth badges?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah!" everyone else responds. The group exited the Pokemon Center and travelled north where they saw the stadium the previous day. Along the way, they all notice a hot spring inside a templelike structure.
"I'll bet a place like this gets lots of visitors in an area as cold as this." said Sam.
"I wouldn't mind taking a dip in that." said Lola.
"Totes." said Leni. Once they arrived at the stadium, they went inside. Once inside, they see Hop.
"Hey, Hop." said Lincoln, getting his attention; he walks over to the group.
"Did you take on the gym leader?" asked Lucy from behind Hop, scaring him.
"Did you win?" asked Clyde.
"No, I lost; It all went to pot." replied Hop, lowering his head.
"We're sorry, Hop." said Lincoln.
"Just keep training hard, and we're sure you'll win next time." said Ronnie Anne.
"Thanks, guys." replied Hop. "There must've been something wrong with my strategy; but I did just what I've seen Leon do in battles."
"Maybe you should've done things your own way instead of your brother's." said Lincoln.
"I guess so." replied Hop. "I'm going to figure out what to put on my team once and for all, but I won't do any doubting."
"That's the spirit." replied Sam.
"But not my kind." said Lucy. With that, Hop left the stadium.
"Are we ready everyone?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah!" cheered everyone else.
"Let's do it, then!" said Lincoln.
Everyone is ready to earn their next gym badges. What kind of Gym Test and Pokemon will they have to face? Wait and find out.
