"Guys; I think before we go looking around, I want to take Gallade and Incineroar to a Pokemon Center; that Peony guy was tough." said Clyde.
"Are there any towns here?" asked Ronnie Anne. Lincoln looks up the map app on his Rotom Phone.
"According to this; the only place here in Crown Tundra is a village called Freezington; it's not far from here." said Lincoln.
"Let's get going then; it's cold out here." said Lola who had her arms wrapped around herself. The group begins following the map to where Freezington is; they also take the time to look at all the different kinds of Pokemon around the area.
They see a Pokemon that looked like a big snowflake with glowing light blue orbs in it acting as eyes, floating around.
"That Pokemon looks pretty." said Leni as she takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Cryogonal, the Crystallizing Pokemon. When the weather gets hot, these Pokémon turn into water vapor. Cryogonal are almost never seen during summer." said Leni's Rotom Phone.
"I wonder if there were Cryogonals in the warm areas we've been to and we've never known." said Lincoln.
"No way of knowing that." said Clyde.
"At least they can be seen here." said Sam.
"Since it's so cold here." said Lola as she shivered a bit.
"I'm gonna try and catch it." said Sam.
"Go for it, Sam." said Luna.
"My Rotom Phone says its part ice." said Leni. Sam nods before she takes a pokeball off her waist and tosses it, releasing her Steelix.
"Steelix, use Iron Tail!" said Sam. Steelix swings its tail at the Cryoganal and strikes it, dealing super effective damage; the Cryogonal reacts by firing a beam of ice energy at Steelix, hitting her, and dealing damage. "Steelix, use Rock Slide!" Her Steelix summons a bunch of large rocks and drops them all onto the Cryogonal, dealing super effective damage; Cryogonal responds by spinning around while coated in dark energy and slashes Steelix with its edges, dealing damage.
"This Pokemon is strong." said Lana.
"Maybe all the Pokemon in this area are that tough." suggested Clyde.
"Then this would be a great place to train for the Rose Cup." said Lincoln.
"Steelix, use Dragon Breath!" said Sam. Steelix opens her mouth and releases a stream of green energy that hits Cryogonal; it suddenly twitches.
"Catch it, Sam; it's paralyzed!" said Clyde.
"You got it, little dude." said Sam before she takes an empty pokeball out of her backpack and throws it at the Cryogonal, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"Way to go, Sam!" said Luna. As Sam's new Cryogonal's pokeball is sent to storage, she looks up its information on her Rotom Phone.
"My new Cryogonal isn't a dude or dudette, it knows Bind, Ice Shard, Confuse Ray, Rapid Spin, Laser Focus, Icy Wind, Mist, Haze, Ancient Power, Aurora Beam, Slash, Night Slash, Freeze-Dry, Light Screen, Reflect, Recover, Ice Beam, Acid Armor, Solar Beam, and Sheer Cold; it has the Levitate ability so she's immune to ground type moves."
"That's a lot of moves." said Ronnie Anne.
"I'm gonna swap it for my Stunfisk." said Sam. "I already got Steelix as a steel type." She then uses her Rotom Phone to exchange her Stunfisk for her new Cryogonal.
"Let's get to Freezington to get our Pokemon treated." said Lincoln.
The group continued walking while following the map until they reached a village that had small gardens.
"This must be the place." said Lincoln.
"Hello, hello, what have we here?" the group hear a voice call out. They turned to see a man walking over to them. "New visitors?"
"Yeah." replied Lana.
"I am the mayor of this fair town of Freezington." said the man, revealed to be the mayor of Freezington.
"Please to meet you, sir." replied Clyde.
"I must say, it's a surprise to have visitors arriving in our out-of-the-way town one after another." said the mayor. "Might you be here to learn about the legend of the King of Bountiful Harvests as well?"
"A king?" asked Lola with interest.
"Ah, never mind; it hardly bears asking." said the mayor. "After all, there's very little otherwise to attract visitors to our sleepy corner of the region; which is a bit of a shame, really. People come all this way to investigate what appears to be a mere fairy tale."
"I happen to like fairy tales." said Lola.
"But since you all made the journey, I must offer you all these Freezing specialties as mementos." said the mayor. He reaches into a bag nearby and pulls out several gray sweatshirts that have the image of a Pokemon with a large crown on its head.
"Thank you, sir." said Lincoln.
"An extra layer to wear wouldn't be such a bad idea." said Ronnie Anne.
"Is there a Pokemon Center around here?" asked Lana.
"Unfortunately, no." said the mayor.
"But how are we going to treat our Pokemon?" asked Lincoln.
"We have a large cabin here for rent." said the mayor.
"Can we rent it while we're here in Crown Tundra?" asked Luna.
"If you can afford it, then I don't see why not." said the mayor.
"Where's this cabin?" asked Lucy from behind the mayor, startling him.
"I-It's over there." said the mayor after recovering from his fright; everyone looks and were surprised to see a large log cabin the size of a mansion on a small mountain nearby.
"It's huge." said Clyde.
"We made it in the hopes that it would attract a higher class of citizen, but no one ever had an interest in it." said the mayor. "It should be fully-furnished, and we had people maintain it."
"It's perfect." said Lincoln. Everyone chips in for the rental fee, and the mayor gives them the keys.
"I hope you all enjoy your stay in our little village." said the mayor. He then points at another man. "And if you kids are looking for pokeballs and healing items, that man over there is selling some."
"We'll stay until three days before the Rose Cup." said Lincoln.
"Let's head inside the cabin before my cute little nose freezes off." said Lola. They begin walking back towards the cabin; as they do, they encounted an elderly man.
"Hello, kids." said the man.
"Hi." replied Lincoln.
"You kids new here?" asked the man.
"Yeah; but we're staying here temporarily." said Lincoln. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out what appeared to be a packet of seeds.
"Here's a little welcome to our village gift; carrot seeds." said the man, holding out the seeds towards Lincoln.
"Uh, thanks." said Lincoln, taking the packet of seeds and putting them in his coat pocket.
"Can we get back to our cabin already?!" asked Lola.
"Okay, let's get going." said Lincoln. They all head up a path leading to the cabin until they reach it; once they do, they open the door and head inside.
Minutes later, they were all in front of a fireplace that had a roaring fire in it.
"Much better." said Lola.
Clyde was using his healing items to treat his Incineroar and Gallade while Sam was doing the same with her Cryogonal and Steelix.
Lana looked around the cabin and discovers a central heating unit that she turns on to warm up the entire cabin. Lincoln puts on his winter attire and walks to the front door.
"Where you going, little bro?" asked Luna.
"I'm gonna check this village out; maybe I'll see some new Pokemon." replied Lincoln.
"Stay warm, Lincoln." said Clyde.
"Like we're doing right now." said Lola who had her hands close to the fireplace. Lincoln nods before walking out the door.
Moments later, Lincoln was walking around the village when he comes across a statue of what appeared to be a deerlike creature riding a horse; he walks over to get a closer look.
"That's the statue of the King of Bountiful Harvests." Lincoln hears the mayor say; he looks to see the mayor walking over to him. Lincoln looks back at the statue.
"It looks like this statue's missing something." said Lincoln.
"Yes; its crown." replied the mayor.
"What happened to it?" asked Lincoln.
"Don't know; it disappeared some time ago." replied the mayor.
"I hope it turns up soon." said Lincoln. The mayor looks up to see it was starting to get dark.
"It's getting dark, young man; you should head back to you and your friends cabin." said the mayor.
"Yes, sir." replied Lincoln. He begins running back to the cabin; moments later, he entered it.
"How was your walk, Lincoln?" asked Clyde.
"It was okay." replied Lincoln as he walked to the fireplace and puts his palms in front of the fire.
"What do you guys want to do tomorrow?" asked Lana.
"I want to check out what Pokemon are around here." replied Lincoln.
"And I saw some Pokemon Dens near the train station; maybe I can check them out tomorrow also." said Sam.
"I want to find more fairy types." said Lola. Clyde walks to the kitchen and starts making dinner.
"It's nice having someone who can cook in our group." said Leni.
Moments later, the group was eating ham, cheesy scalloped potatoes, and dinner rolls, along with hot cocoa to drink.
"Man, Clyde; this food is so good." said Lana.
"Thank you." replied Clyde. After they finished eating, Lincoln and some of his sisters helped clean the dishes. After the dishes were cleaned, the group were talking to their families on Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Wow, kids; your cabin is real nice." said Lynn Sr.
"We like that it has three bathrooms." said Luna.
"Wish our house did." said Lori.
"Yeah; it's a good place to stay until the Rose Cup." replied Lincoln.
"Are you staying warm, Clyde?" asked Harold McBride.
"Yeah, Dad." replied Clyde.
"We can send you several thermal underwear for you to wear under your clothes." said Howard McBride.
"I'll...be fine." said Clyde, sweatdropping.
"What Pokemon do you kids think you'll find there?" asked Rita.
"We'll find out tomorrow; but for now, we just want to relax." said Lincoln. After the group talked to their families for a few more minutes, they ended their call. After everyone had hot showers or baths, they went to rooms that had a twin bed and a bunk bed. Lincoln, Clyde, and Ronnie Anne shared one, with Lincoln and Clyde agreeing to change clothes in the bathroom so Ronnie Anne won't see them, Leni, Luna, and Sam shared another room, as did Lucy and the twins.
While Lucy takes a Flying Taxi over to Stow-on-Side for her nightly meeting with Allister, the rest of the group climb into their beds and soon fell asleep.
The group have settled in at Freezington in the Crown Tundra. What awaits them in this new land? Wait and find out.
