I feel like this is another filler chapter again so I am sorry if it is. Life just sucks right now

"Luna, have you seen my top?" Jane called as she raced down the stairs in search of her baseball shirt in just her jeans and a bra. She had searched her wardrobe and was unable to find her top ready for the day.

"No," Luna called back as she followed her mother. She had managed to find her baseball top and as a typical tween, she made no effort to help her mother look.

"It's got to be here somewhere," Jane mumbled and began to rummage through the basket of clean clothes that sat on the dining table. The sound of the doorbell caused the detective to look up. "That'll be your Nonna, can you get it, please?" Luna trotted off to answer the door while Jane still rummaged through the clothes, letting out a couple of curses. She knew the top had to be in the house somewhere but where was the question.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt!" A voice pulled Jane from her search and she looked up to see a shocked Maura standing in front of her. Jane couldn't help but grin as she watched the blush creep up the doctor's cheek and noticed that she didn't try to look away. If anything Maura's eyes had gotten wider.

"I'm looking for my top," Jane explained but made no effort to cover herself up. She dropped her gaze back to the basket of clothes but could see Maura still watching her in her peripheral vision. Maura swallowed as she watched Jane in just her bra. She knew she should look away but she couldn't stop herself from watching every movement she made. It was just a simple grey bra but Maura found it totally mesmerising especially as each movement Jane made with an arm sent a small ripple through the flesh of breast that was not covered by the bra.

The doorbell sounded once more and Luna went to answer it. "Jane, why aren't you ready?!" Angela called as she walked into the living room, her hands thrown up into the air.

"Oh, geeze!" Frankie had followed his mother but had stumbled and held his hands up as he caught sight of his sister without her top on.

"You walked into my house." Jane straightened up from the basket and looked at them all, the only one looking away from her was Frankie. "I'm looking for my shirt."

"Here." Angela threw the shirt across the room. "You left it behind the other week. I washed it for you."

"Thanks, Ma." Jane caught the top and pulled it on over her head. "Okay, I'm ready."

"Hang on, why does Jane get to bring someone and I don't?" Frankie asked as he realised Maura was there.

"No one said you couldn't." Angela turned to face her oldest son. "You never asked. Come on, let's go, we'll be late." Angela ushered them all out the door apart from Jane and Maura.

"Luna left her book in my office yesterday, I was just bringing it back." Maura held up a book for Jane to see. She was still flustered from seeing Jane in just her bra and the images of what else was under her clothes that had appeared in her brunette took the book and placed it on the side before she grabbed her phone and keys.

"Thanks."

"Come on!" Angela called from outside.

"I hope you didn't have plans today?" Jane asked as she placed a hand on Maura's back and led her toward the front door. "You're now coming with us to a baseball game."

"Oh, I," Maura stuttered but allowed herself to be led to the car and ushered in.

Maura had no idea about baseball but it seemed that the whole Rizzoli family were big fans, even Luna. She wasn't sure when she was supposed to cheer, who to cheer for or what any of it meant. She did however enjoy spending time with everyone. They were all wedged onto a bench together and she could feel Jane's thigh against hers every time she sat down. Jane was constantly jumping up from her seat and shouting as the game played on. Maura understood exactly where Luna got all her energy from. There was no mistaking they were all family. After the game they found a picnic table in the park close to the barbeque that had been set up ready for all the hungry fans.

"Here you go." Jane placed a hotdog down in front of Maura as she slid onto the bench next to her. Luna sat opposite Maura with her own hotdog while Jane had a burger. Frankie appeared with a bunch of drinks and handed them out. Tommy brought over more hotdogs and burgers and Angela appeared with napkins.

"I got you the same as me." Luna smiled before she bit into her own hotdog.

"Hope you like it." Jane looked at Maura, unsure if a hotdog was appropriate food to give to the classy medical examiner.

"Thank you."

"So, Maura, you work with Jane?" Angela asked across the table. "You're the medical examiner."

"I am." Maura nodded and wiped her mouth with a napkin. The hotdog was pretty good. "We've worked on cases together the past few years."

"Luna has enjoyed spending time in your office. She's been talking about all the cool books you have." Angela smiled fondly at her granddaughter, it would have been lovely to have spent the two weeks with her but she was also glad she'd enjoyed her time with Maura and had learnt lots of new things.

"It's been nice to have her there." Maura smiled warmly.

"They're really cool, Nonna," Luna piped up. "Maura even gave me a body puzzle with all the organs in." She swallowed her last bite of hotdog before she reached for a burger.

"Well, anyone who enjoys Luna's company is alright by us." Angela smiled warmly at Maura. She could see just how fond her two girls were of Maura and if she made them happy, that was all that mattered.

"Who's for a game of basketball?" Tommy asked once everyone had eaten.

"Yes!" Luna jumped up from the table.

"I'm in." Frankie stood up as well. "Janie? Maura?"

"Oh, I don't play." Maura shook her head.

"Alright." Jane screwed up her last wrapper and threw it into the middle of the table. "Let's go."

"Don't injure anyone," Angela warned as she watched them walk off to the basketball courts. "They're all so competitive." She shook her head in disbelief.

"It's good to have some competition." Maura helped Angela clear up the table from everyone's food wrappers.

"You haven't seen how much these guys have, even Luna. She is her mother's daughter."

"She certainly is." Maura laughed lightly.

"Jane used to give me so many heart attacks growing up. She was always the wild one out of the three. I hoped Luna would be a bit calmer. Then I hoped Jane would understand what it was like when she was growing up but their energies just match each other and Jane is just breezing through motherhood." Angela shook her head as she recalled both Jane as a child and Luna when she was younger.

"She's a good mother," Maura agreed and followed Angela's gaze to the basketball courts where the three siblings and Luna had started a game. "I can see how much she loves Luna."

"She's done amazing. She's excelled in her career and is such a good mum. I've barely heard her complain, even through the sleepless nights, Jane just pushed through." Angela sat back down at the table and let her chin fall into her hand. "I'm not sure I'm going to be getting any more grandchildren though." She let out a sigh.

"You never know." Maura smiled at the older woman.

"Tommy won't ever settle down, Frankie loves Luna but he doesn't have much interest in children and Jane won't settle down until Luna is older, if she ever settles down. What about you Dr. Isles, are you married?" Angela wanted to know more about the blonde and Jane hadn't told her much. Luna was always so excited to talk about Maura's books more so than the woman.

"No." Maura shook her head. "I haven't found the right person."

"You will," Angela assured you. "Maybe you've already met them and you have no idea. Oh god," she groaned and put a hand over her eyes. "I can't watch them. Even as adults they're the same." Maura turned her gaze and couldn't help but laugh. Tommy had Frankie in a headlock and Luna had jumped onto his back while Jane was trying to wrestle the ball from Frankie's hands. It looks like a recipe for disaster. "Come on, let's go for a walk so I don't need to witness the injuries." Angela linked her arm through the blonde's and they took off for a walk around the park.

"See you later," Jane called to her mother and brothers as Angela dropped them back to the house later that afternoon. "I hope we didn't spoil your plans too much today." She smiled at Maura as they walked towards the front door.

"You didn't," the blonde reassured her. "I enjoyed today. It was my first baseball game."

"I couldn't tell." Jane laughed as she unlocked the door. "Go take a shower kiddo and then we'll sort dinner, okay?"

"Bye, Maura." Luna waved tiredly before she made her way up the stairs.

"Do you want to stay for dinner?" Jane offered.

"I'd love to but I should get home. Luna looks tired too. Thank you for today." Maura smiled happily before she turned to her car. Jane gave a wave and watched as the doctor drove off.

Once mother and daughter had had a quick dinner they lay on the sofa with Luna cuddled up to her mother while a film played on the TV. Jane enjoyed moments like these where Luna lay curled against her side contently. She was aware of how quick her little girl was growing up so she savoured every moment she still got to hold her.

"Did you have a good day, baby?" Jane whispered into Luna's curls and was met with a tired, hmm. "Me too," Jane kissed her daughter's head and held her closer. She enjoyed the life that the two of them had together but sometimes she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if there was someone else to share it with. Maybe what it would be like if a certain blonde was there with them.
