Kingdom Hearts III.5: A journey on Teyvat
Chapter 03: Meeting with the Knights of Favonius
(Genshin Impact OST - The City Favored by Wind)
As Sora and Amber continued walking through the bustling streets of Mondstadt, the Outrider couldn't help but think about the best way to help her new friend. In order for Sora to find Kairi, Amber had suggested introducing him to the Knights of Favonius, especially to Jean, the Acting Grand Master. She believed Jean would be the most capable of helping him. After all, Jean never missed an opportunity to help someone in need.
Seeing that they still had a little way to go before reaching their destination, Sora took the chance to ask Amber some questions, particularly about Jean.
Sora: So, Amber, can you tell me a bit more about this person—Jean, right? I'd like to get to know her better. Should I act a certain way around her? You mentioned she runs the entire Knights of Favonius, so I don't want to come across as rude.
Sora's concerns were understandable. After all, he was about to meet someone pretty important. Luckily for him, Amber responded with a cheerful smile.
Amber: Haha, don't worry, Sora. You don't have to be so tense. Just be yourself, you'll be fine. Besides being really friendly, Jean is incredible. There's a reason she's called the "Dandelion Knight." She's completely devoted to protecting Mondstadt and its people. As the Acting Grand Master, Jean has always been committed to her duties and works tirelessly to keep peace and security. She's the perfect example of what a knight should be.
Seeing how much Amber praised Jean, Sora couldn't hide his optimism and excitement about meeting such a renowned knight.
Sora: She sounds like an exceptional person. Now I'm really looking forward to meeting her.
Amber: Hehe, in that case, think of it as taking just one last step. Look ahead. We're here.
Indeed, the two teenagers finally arrived in front of an imposing and elegant stone fortress. At the main entrance, a broad stone staircase led up to a majestic door, framed by two red banners adorned with golden patterns, and two crests featuring a falcon.
Amber: Sora, before you stands the proud headquarters of the Knights of Favonius. This place serves both as a strategic command center and a refuge for all knights. It's also where we train new recruits.
Sora paused for a moment to take in the grandeur of the building, his eyes widening at the majesty and scale of the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.
Sora: Wow, this place is really impressive. I've never seen anything like it. It must be amazing to work in a place like this.
Amber smiled, happy to see Sora so amazed.
Amber: Yes, it's a special place. But what really makes it incredible are the people who work here. Every knight here is dedicated to protecting Mondstadt and its citizens.
Sora nodded, feeling a growing sense of respect for the Knights of Favonius.
Sora: I get it. I'm looking forward to meeting Jean and seeing how she leads all of this.
Amber: She's amazing, you'll see. Come on, let me show you inside.
Amber gestured for Sora to follow her. They were greeted by two knights stationed at the entrance.
Amber: Athos, Porthos, hello!
Athos: Hello, Amber.
Porthos: Welcome back, Amber. Are you here to report to our Acting Grand Master?
Amber: That's partly true, but more importantly, I've brought someone with me. This is Sora, a young man I've been helping. He's searching for someone important to him, and I promised to assist him however I can. The best way to do that is to introduce him to Jean, in the hope that she can offer her support as well.
Sora: Hello, both of you. I'm sorry for troubling your Grand Master with my problems.
Instead of feeling troubled, the two knights immediately reassured Sora.
Athos: There's no need to apologize, Sora. Helping those in need is part of our duty as Knights of Favonius.
Porthos: Exactly. As for our Acting Grand Master, you can be sure she'll do everything she can to help you. With her, you're in good hands.
Sora: I know, Amber's been singing Jean's praises nonstop.
Athos: In that case, let's not waste any more time. Please, come on in.
The two knights stepped aside, allowing the two teens to pass, and soon, Sora and Amber found themselves at the heart of the building.
(Genshin Impact OST - Knights of Favonius)
Inside, the entrance hall was just as impressive as the exterior. Bathed in the soft glow of wall-mounted torches and a wrought iron chandelier hanging from the ceiling, the room emanated an air of nobility and serenity. Knights in armor moved about the room, each with purpose. The checkered floor, made of perfectly aligned tiles, naturally drew the eye toward the majestic arches and the dark wooden staircase leading to the upper floors. The walls, adorned with wooden panels and delicate moldings, showcased the meticulous care put into every architectural detail. Crests and swords, symbols of the knights, proudly displayed on the walls, reminded all the honorable and courageous mission of the Knights of Favonius.
Sora glanced around, trying to take it all in at once. He could feel the history and tradition emanating from the walls.
Sora: This place really radiates grandeur and tradition.
Amber: It sure does. Every corner of this building has seen generations of knights pass through. But enough talk, let's go see Jean. She should be in her office.
Amber led Sora to a door that led to Jean's personal quarters. She knocked softly before entering. A feminine voice called out from the other side.
? ? ?: Who is it?
Amber: Jean-san, it's me, Amber! I've come to give my report.
The voice, apparently Jean's, responded in a calm tone.
Jean: You may come in, Amber.
Sora couldn't help but feel a rising nervousness. The thought of meeting Jean, the Acting Grand Master, made him slightly anxious. Amber had spoken so highly of her, praising her dedication and ability to help those in need, and Sora sincerely hoped that she could aid him in finding Kairi. Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward.
The two teenagers opened the door and entered Jean's personal office. The room was elegantly arranged with a sense of functionality. Bookshelves filled with volumes and files lined the walls, while a large, sturdy wooden desk dominated the center of the room.
Behind the desk stood a graceful young woman with blonde hair, neatly tied back into a ponytail. She wore a sleeveless shirt, accompanied by distinctive white sleeves, along with a short blue-and-gold cape fastened to a white collar. Her white tights matched her high-heeled boots, completing her refined appearance.
To Sora, it was clear that he stood before Jean, the Acting Grand Master who oversaw the entire Knights of Favonius. She stood behind her desk, her posture upright and confident, yet radiating warmth and approachability. Her gaze, both gentle and resolute, seemed to hold a depth that belied the simplicity of her appearance.
Despite his nervousness, Sora couldn't help but be struck by Jean's undeniable charisma. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he knew he was standing before someone worthy of respect and authority. There was something in her eyes—a rare combination of calm and strength—that inspired immediate trust and admiration.
However, it appeared she wasn't alone. Two other people were in the room: a man and a woman.
The man leaned casually against a bookshelf, his arms crossed. His tanned skin contrasted with his blue hair, which had lighter strands and a long section that extended down to his waist. He wore a half-cape with a fur collar, a white-collared blouse, tight dark pants, and matching boots. The most striking feature was the black eyepatch covering his right eye.
As for the woman, she stood by, engrossed in a book. Her fair skin and long, wavy chestnut hair that fell to her shoulders paired elegantly with her purple and white dress. She accessorized with black lace stockings, high heels, and a necklace featuring a large violet gem, fixed at the collar of her dress. The most noticeable aspect of her attire was a long, pointed purple hat, evoking the traditional style of a witch.
When the door opened, the three figures turned their attention to the newcomers. Jean, with her calm and composed gaze, set down her pen and stood up, her usual serene demeanor softening slightly with a welcoming smile.
Jean: Welcome back, Amber... It's good to have you among us again.
Amber: Jean-san, I'm back! And I see Lisa-san and Kaeya-senpai are here too.
The two individuals, now identified as Lisa and Kaeya, welcomed their friend back as well. Kaeya gave a slight nod, while Lisa offered a warm smile. Kaeya, looking slightly amused, addressed Amber.
Kaeya: Well, if it isn't our favorite outrider! Welcome back, Amber. I hope your adventures were as interesting as ever.
Amber smiled, recognizing Kaeya's friendly tone. She then turned to Lisa.
Lisa: Hello, Amber! It's always a pleasure to see you. I hope you brought us some fascinating new stories.
Touched by their warm words, Amber replied with a sincere smile.
Amber: Thank you so much! Yes, I have some interesting stories to share. But for now, I'm just happy to see you all again.
Jean looked at Amber with a gentle smile, grateful to the scout for keeping an eye on the surroundings and dealing with any threats to Mondstadt.
Jean: How was your patrol?
Amber relaxed at the familiar voice of Jean, knowing she could count on her support.
Amber: The patrol went very well. I only encountered a camp of Hilichurls, but I took care of it without any issues. Nothing serious to report.
Jean nodded, satisfied with Amber's response.
Jean: I see.
She then turned her gaze toward Sora, who was standing timidly next to Amber. The Acting Grand Master noted the young man and, curious, addressed Amber with an encouraging smile.
Jean: And who is this young man by your side?
Kaeya and Lisa also straightened up at Jean's announcement. The two exchanged a glance before turning their attention to Sora.
Kaeya: Indeed, we have someone new among us. Amber, can you tell us more about him?
Lisa: Yes, I'm curious to know who he is and what brings him here.
Amber smiled at the sincere interest of her colleagues and gestured to Sora to introduce him.
Amber: Of course! This is Sora. During my patrol, I found him unconscious. He is searching for someone very dear to him, and I promised to help him. I thought the best way to support him was to introduce him to you, especially to Jean-san, so he could benefit from all the help possible.
Seeing that Amber had started the introductions, Sora stepped forward and greeted Jean.
Sora: Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Sora. It's truly an honor to meet you in person. Amber has sung your praises and spoken highly of your dedication. I've heard so many admirable things about you that I was really looking forward to meeting you.
Jean, touched by Sora's respectful words, gave him a warm smile. She had always had a strong desire to help those in need, and knowing that she was so respected by others brought her joy.
Jean: Well, thank you for your kind words. Allow me to introduce myself properly. My name is Jean. I am the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. It's a pleasure to meet you, Sora.
She then extended her hand to Sora, which he took in return. They shook hands.
Sora: Likewise, Jean.
After the warm exchange between Sora and Jean, the other two members present in the office, Kaeya and Lisa, stepped forward to introduce themselves as well. Kaeya, observing the scene with an amused smile, added with a hint of mischief.
Kaeya: Looks like you've come to the right place. With all the admiration Amber has for Jean, it's no surprise you're so impressed. Anyway, I'm Kaeya. I'm the Captain cavalry of the Knights of Favonius. If you ever need information about what's happening in Mondstadt or help navigating the city, I'm your guy.
Sora smiled in return, appreciating Kaeya's friendly introduction. He gave a respectful nod.
Sora: Thank you, Kaeya. That's good to know. I'll be sure to ask you for advice in the future.
Pleased with Sora's attitude, Kaeya kept a keen eye on him, sensing that Sora was someone very interesting. Then Lisa, gently closing her book, approached Sora with a calm grace and a playful smile.
Lisa: Nice to meet you, Sora. I'm Lisa. I'm in charge of the Knights of Favonius library. If you need to find information or specific documents, or just want to borrow some books, I'm the person to contact. I love puzzles and mysteries, so feel free to reach out if you need any deep research.
Sora, a bit impressed by Lisa's professionalism, responded gratefully.
Sora: Nice to meet you, Lisa. I'm glad to make your acquaintance. I'm sure I could benefit from your knowledge in the future.
Lisa looked at him with an amused smile, noting his enthusiasm and respect. With a teasing glint in her eyes, she replied.
Lisa: Oh my, you're really charming, Sora. And I must say, you remind me of someone... Ah, yes! My little cutie—the traveler who has helped us a lot here in Mondstadt. I don't know why, but you have the same look in your eyes.
Sora, slightly blushing but also flattered by the comparison, responded with a shy smile.
Sora: Really? I'm honored to be compared to someone so remarkable.
Kaeya, who had been listening to the conversation with an amused smile, decided to join in.
Kaeya: Well, Lisa's right. There's something about you, Sora, that reminds me of our dear Honorary Knight. You have this aura... an aura of determination and courage... It's almost like we're dealing with another traveler.
Sora, although flattered by the comparisons to Aether, couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. After all, he had just met Jean, Kaeya, and Lisa, respected figures of the Knights of Favonius. He lowered his gaze slightly, feeling a bit uncomfortable under so many compliments.
Sora: Really? Do you really think so? Well... it's a great honor to be compared. I mean, we just met, so we don't know each other. Plus, you've never seen me in action.
Jean, with a reassuring smile, gently interrupted him.
Jean: Don't worry, Sora. Sometimes, it only takes looking into someone's eyes to learn a lot about them.
She paused, her piercing yet kind gaze resting on Sora.
Jean: And from what I see, you are a good person. I can sense your sincerity. You exude an aura of confidence that puts people at ease. I feel good just talking with you, and that's a good sign.
Kaeya nodded in agreement.
Kaeya: Jean is right. We've seen enough people to recognize someone sincere and trustworthy.
Lisa, with a gentle smile, responded to him.
Lisa: Exactly. Don't doubt yourself.
The words from Jean, Kaeya, and Lisa had a calming effect on Sora. He looked up, meeting Jean's gaze and feeling a reassuring warmth emanating from her words. With sincere gratitude, he thanked them.
Sora: Thank you so much. Your words mean a lot to me. I will do my best to live up to your trust.
Jean replied with an encouraging smile.
Jean: We have no doubt about that, Sora.
Amber, who had been standing aside during the conversation, couldn't help but comment to Sora.
Amber: Hehe, you see, Sora? Jean-san is the nicest person I know. Plus, it's amazing that you're already getting along with everyone.
Slightly blushing at Amber's compliment, Jean regained her composure and tried to refocus on Sora's situation.
Jean: W-Well, let's return to the topic. Sora, Amber mentioned that you were looking for someone. Can you give us the details?
Sora: Yes, of course. I think I should tell you everything from the beginning.
(Genshin Impact OST - Slight Distress)
Sora then began recounting the events that had led him here. He started by introducing Kairi, giving a physical description of her. He then explained that she had disappeared without a trace following a battle. The young hero deliberately omitted mentioning the antagonists, namely Master Xehanort and the New Organization XIII. To him, these foes were now a thing of the past, and he preferred to avoid alarming his listeners about them. After all, it was better that they knew as little as possible about those enemies.
He continued by describing how, thanks to a magical object, he had managed to arrive in Teyvat without any issues. He explained how Amber had found him unconscious and recounted the events that had led to the current situation.
Sora: And that's pretty much the whole story. There you go.
After taking a moment to absorb everything Sora had said, Jean reflects silently. She was still trying to make sense of all the information she'd just heard. Sora, a young man wielding a mystical weapon capable of traveling him between worlds, fought to protect these worlds from all threats. From her perspective, if this story had been told to ordinary people, they would likely have struggled to believe it. Even she couldn't help but question the truth of some elements.
However, given that Aether was also a traveler from another world, she had no reason to doubt Sora's story. Especially knowing that the young man had faced numerous dangers in his quest to find a loved one. In light of this, she couldn't help but feel a deep compassion for this hero.
Having listened to the story from their respective corners, Kaeya and Lisa were also reflecting. Kaeya was particularly intrigued by the part where Sora fought to protect the worlds from all threats coming from beyond. Although he was unfamiliar with the concept of dangers from other worlds, he couldn't help but wonder what kinds of perils he might encounter. And what if these threats ever reached Teyvat? What would he do in that case? As the captain of the cavalry, he felt responsible for the safety of Mondstadt and its inhabitants. There was no doubt that he would be ready to give his all to protect his city. After all, he knew that someone he knew wouldn't hesitate to do anything to defend the city.
Kaeya: It's clear that this young man has faced unimaginable trials. The idea of traveling through worlds and fighting to maintain balance among them... that requires an extraordinary strength of character.
Lisa, on the other hand, had a softer yet equally attentive gaze. The librarian, with her love for mysteries and enigmas, found Sora's story fascinating not only for its heroic aspects but also for the unresolved mysteries surrounding it. She wondered how such a journey could change a person and how Sora's quest could intertwine with those of other heroes across worlds.
Lisa: The courage of this young man is admirable. Defending an order between worlds, seeking a precious person... that shows how deeply he is attached to his values and loved ones. The story is captivating, but I also wonder what other secrets and knowledge this world and his might hold. Perhaps this quest could even reveal something new about the mysteries of our own world.
As their thoughts intertwined, Kaeya broke the silence, drawing Sora's attention with a smile that was both impressed and respectful.
Kaeya: You've been through incredible adventures, Sora. The courage and perseverance you demonstrate are worthy of the greatest heroes.
Lisa, with a warm smile, added:
Lisa: And it's clear that your determination is truly inspiring. If you're looking to understand or explore anything here in Teyvat, we would be delighted to assist you in your quest. Sometimes, the most extraordinary stories reveal hidden truths about the world and about ourselves.
Finally, Amber responded in turn:
Amber: Now Sora, I want even more to join you in your quest to find Kairi. It would be an honor for me to fight by your side! Well... after I finish all my scout duties first...
Jean, who had been silently observing their reflections, nodded in agreement with her colleagues. She turned to Sora with a look of understanding and support.
Jean: We are happy to help you. Each of us has our own challenges, but it's comforting to know that we can support each other. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. Your quest is important, and we will be here to back you up.
Sora felt deeply touched by the care and attention from the members of the Knights of Favonius. The efforts they seemed willing to make to help him find Kairi were a real comfort. His gratitude manifested in a sincere smile and a look full of appreciation.
Sora: Thank you all so much. Your help and kindness mean a lot to me. It's such a relief to know that I'm not alone in this quest. I don't know how I could ever repay you.
Jean, touched by Sora's words, returned a warm smile. Amber, noticing Sora's emotion, turned to Jean with a questioning look in her eyes.
Amber: Jean-san, do you have any ideas on how we could proceed to help Sora in his search?
Jean took a moment to think.
Jean: I think the first step would be to check if anyone in the city has seen a person matching Sora's description. Perhaps some knights have noticed something unusual.
She then turned to Kaeya.
Jean: Kaeya, could you check with the knights to see if they've seen anyone matching the description that Sora gave us?
Kaeya, always attentive, replied with a confident smile.
Kaeya: Of course, Jean. I'll make sure to spread the word and check the patrol reports.
Sora, visibly relieved but still determined, expressed his desire to actively participate in the search.
Sora: Thank you so much. Is there anything I can do to improve the search? I'm ready to help in any way I can.
Jean, however, shook her head with a reassuring smile.
Jean: For now, that's not necessary. Your presence is already greatly appreciated. I'm more concerned about your health. According to Amber, you haven't had a moment to rest since you arrived. Let's see... Sora, have you had the chance to explore Mondstadt since your arrival?
Sora, a bit surprised by the question, replied.
Sora: Not yet, unfortunately. I've mostly been focused on finding Kairi.
Jean, with an encouraging smile, turned to Amber.
Jean: In that case, Amber, would it be possible for you to give Sora a tour of the city? It would allow him to rest a bit while discovering our beautiful city.
Amber, beaming at the thought of showing Mondstadt to Sora, immediately agreed.
Amber: I'd love to, Jean-san! I'll be happy to give Sora a tour of the city. We can also talk about his search at the same time.
Jean smiled, pleased with Amber's response, and turned back to Sora.
Jean: Very well then. Take this visit as an opportunity to rest and discover Mondstadt. We will do everything we can to make progress in the search.
Sora, touched by this new act of kindness, thanked his new friends once more.
Sora: Thank you so much, Jean, Amber, Kaeya, Lisa. Your help and support mean the world to me. I'll take your advice and take some time to explore the city.
With this promise, Sora prepared to discover Mondstadt in a new light, guided by Amber and supported by the Knight of Favonius in his quest to find Kairi. As Sora and Amber finally left the room to start their tour of Mondstadt, Jean, Lisa, and Kaeya found themselves alone, immersed in a long, contemplative silence.
Each of them reflected on the recent revelations and the implications of Sora's presence. The tranquility that followed their departure was broken by Jean's voice, calm and thoughtful, as she broke the silence.
Jean: So, what do you both think?
Lisa, ever lively and attentive, broke the silence with an intrigued smile.
Lisa: It's fascinating, indeed... This young man, Sora, comes from another world and embarks on a quest to find his missing friend. It's quite an interesting development, isn't it? Just imagine—a traveler from another world finding himself here in search of a lost friend. He must have gone through incredible adventures to get here. It's clear he is determined and has a noble heart. That look in his eyes... it speaks volumes about his commitment and desire to protect those he loves.
Kaeya, leaning against the wall, crossed his arms with a thoughtful smile. He had observed Sora with particular attention and seemed to be assessing the implications of this encounter.
Kaeya: I agree with Lisa. Sora has a unique aura about him. It's evident that he has faced difficult trials. The fact that he comes from another world adds an intriguing dimension to his story. And it's quite rare to meet someone with such determination to find a loved one. That says a lot about his loyalty and courage.
Jean, whose gaze remained fixed on the door through which Sora and Amber had exited, nodded in agreement with her friends.
Jean: Yes, it's clear that Sora is a remarkable young man. His desire to find his friend and the lengths he's willing to go to shows how much he's prepared to do for those he loves. His quest is filled with a touching sincerity. I'm also intrigued by the fact that he comes from another world.
After sharing their thoughts on Sora and his quest, Jean, Lisa, and Kaeya found themselves discussing the most intriguing aspects of their encounter. Lisa, always driven by insatiable curiosity, returned to a detail that had struck her.
Lisa: I must admit, there's something I can't shake off. Maybe I'm the only one thinking this, but... didn't you notice how much Sora resembles to my cutie?
Jean and Kaeya turned to Lisa, surprised by her remark. Jean, ever observant, wore a questioning expression.
Jean: That's interesting. You seem really convinced about the resemblance between Sora and Aether. Can you elaborate on what you've noticed?
Lisa, sitting across from her friends, crossed her arms and leaned on the table, clearly excited about the discussion.
Lisa: When I mentioned this earlier, it was mostly to tease a bit. But after hearing Sora's story, especially learning that he also comes from another world, I can't ignore the similarities. Their physical appearance, their gaze... They both have that same aura of determination and courage that seems almost identical.
Kaeya, with his arms crossed and a thoughtful expression, nodded slowly.
Kaeya: That's true, Lisa. At first, I thought it was just a funny observation. But now that you mention it, there are indeed striking resemblances. Both have that deep and committed look in their eyes. I can't help but think it's more than just a coincidence.
Jean, deep in thought, looked up at her two friends with a curious expression.
Jean: It's fascinating to notice these similarities. We know that Sora comes from another world, and we are well aware of Aether's origins. Perhaps the connection between them goes beyond what we can imagine. Could this similarity be a sign or a clue about something greater?
Lisa, her eyes shining with excitement, continued.
Lisa: I think so too. Stories of parallel worlds and travelers between worlds are often filled with significant coincidences. Maybe this resemblance is tied to something we don't understand yet. It would be interesting to dig deeper and see if we can find connections between the two.
Jean, contemplating Lisa's suggestion, tilted her head slightly.
Jean: I see what you mean. For now, our priority is to help Sora find his friend, but it would indeed be wise to keep an eye on these similarities. They could offer us important clues in the future.
Kaeya, with an amused smile, added.
Kaeya: So we have a new mystery to solve alongside our current mission. This promises to be interesting. But for now, let's focus on the help we can provide to Sora. We can explore these similarities in parallel.
Lisa, playing with a strand of her hair, thought for a moment before speaking again.
Lisa: The question now is: how can we help him in the best way possible? We need to be attentive to the signs and clues he might give us. Also, it would be interesting to see how he reacts to our help. Perhaps his skills or experience could also enrich our understanding of the worlds around us.
Jean: Alright, so we have a direction to follow. Let's focus on the search and on how we can offer our support.
Before concluding, Jean had one last question for Kaeya.
Jean: Kaeya, I was wondering... do you know where Aether is right now?
Kaeya, who had been listening attentively to the conversation, thought for a moment before responding.
Kaeya: Well, our dear Honorary Knight is probably still in Mondstadt. I've heard that he and his friend Paimon are preparing to head to Liyue. They're planning meticulously, and our traveler even suggested making one last round of the area to ensure that no threats are looming over the city.
Jean expressed her gratitude for Aether's attentiveness.
Jean: That's very generous of him. We're grateful, especially for his help in protecting our city. Perhaps we could take this opportunity to suggest he meet Sora. If there are indeed similarities between them, it could be beneficial for both parties.
Kaeya: That's an excellent idea. I'm sure Aether would be delighted to meet Sora and share insights with him. I'll make sure to pass this suggestion along to him as soon as possible.
Jean smiled, pleased with the proposed solution.
Jean: Thank you, Kaeya. I believe this could provide valuable perspective for Sora and perhaps even for all of us. Sora could benefit from meeting someone who surely shares similar experiences, even coming from different worlds.
As Kaeya was about to leave the room after agreeing to contact Aether, Jean wanted to address another important topic.
Jean: Kaeya, before you go, could you give me an update on the latest patrol report? I'd like to know how the situation has improved since the Stormterror attack.
Kaeya paused, thinking for a moment before responding.
Kaeya: Indeed, the situation has gradually stabilized since the defeat of Stormterror. Monster attacks have become less frequent, and patrols are more at ease. However, there's something I wanted to discuss.
Jean furrowed her brows, attentive to Kaeya's concerns.
Jean: What's troubling you?
Kaeya: Although the crisis has passed, some knights have reported a lingering discomfort during their patrols. They sense a strange presence, as if something dark and mysterious is watching them from the shadows. This seems to make them particularly uneasy, and it's difficult to determine what it could be.
Jean listened intently, her expression shifting from curiosity to worry. The thought of mysterious presences that could still threaten Mondstadt's peace was concerning.
Jean: That's troubling. Such a presence could indicate new problems on the horizon. We need to remain vigilant and prepare our knights for any eventualities.
Kaeya nodded, understanding the importance of the situation. Jean turned to Lisa, who had been listening intently to the conversation.
Jean: Lisa, could you also stay alert for any information or signs that might explain this discomfort among the knights?
Lisa nodded, ready to do her part to help.
Lisa: Of course, Jean. I'll keep an eye on the reports and ensure that any relevant information is examined.
Jean smiled, grateful for the support of her friends. Then, she turned to Kaeya.
Jean: Thank you both. Kaeya, I know we can count on you to keep us informed of any developments. We need to stay on guard to anticipate any potential problems.
Kaeya, feeling ready to leave, offered a reassuring smile.
Kaeya: No problem. I'll take care of this right away, and I'll keep you updated on any developments.
With that, Kaeya headed toward the exit, leaving Jean and Lisa alone. Jean looked at Lisa, concerned about the recent developments.
Jean: This could signal the arrival of new problems.
Lisa responded with shared seriousness.
Lisa: Yes, we need to ensure that we are prepared to face whatever may come. The apparent calm could be deceiving.
Jean nodded and turned toward the window, contemplating the potential challenges ahead. This meeting concluded with an increased sense of vigilance, indicating that new dangers, though perhaps unknown to the inhabitants of Teyvat, might feel familiar to Sora.
