Shoto's P.O.V.
"Hi uh… I need a schedule change. I'm supposed to be in Algebra 2 and Chemistry this semester. I got an A in Algebra 1 and Biology last semester so it shouldn't be a prerequisite problem." The secretary looked at me like I was dumb, popping her gum.
"Hun… look at you… you're what six months? You're gonna push out a pup in the middle of the semester and the teachers are gonna do what? Pass you because they feel sorry for you? You're going to miss way too much school. The administration thought it best if they gave you this course load. Easier for you to keep up with."
"I'm perfectly capable of-"
"No. You're not. Take this as a blessing and move on." She shut me down after that. Not letting me speak at all. I crumpled up my useless omega schedule and stormed down the hall. Right past All Might. No… not this. Not today.
He got all big and happy smiles. "Shoto." I tried to move past him, but he stopped me. "What's wrong my boy? You seem troubled, stress isn't good for the baby you know." All you care about is the baby!
"My schedule." I blurted out.
"You don't like it? I thought it would be best if you had an easy fall semester-"
"You did this?!" I shouted. All Might got very stern, grabbing my arm and pulling me into a nearby office.
"You will lower your voice when you speak to me. You are carrying my progeny, my genes. A once in a generation Alpha could be within you as we speak. You want to take Chemistry? So you can expose my child to harmful chemicals? Or Algebra, so it can feel nothing but your stress? I won't have it. You shall be a good omega and do as you're told." I looked up at him in defiance. "Though you are stunning and I couldn't be more proud you are carrying my offspring," He said, placing a hand on my growing abdomen. "You are proving to be most unruly. It would be beneficial if you gained a greater control over that in the future and appreciated the hard work that Alphas do to make you comfortable. Now say thank you." Thank you? Thank you! Thank you for ruining my life! Thank you for forcing me to lie every single day to a halfway decent Alpha! Thank you for causing me to lose my best friend! Thank you for putting me in this position! Oh and thank you, thank you so much for treating me like nothing more than an incubator for your spawn. Thank you so fuckin much!
"Thank you."
He smiled, caressing my belly lovingly. "So beautiful. I told you you'd be incredible all round with my pup." He kissed me. He then leaned down to push up my shirt and kiss my bare belly. Like he could. Like the action didn't make my skin crawl and bring bile to my throat. Like he could do whatever he wanted to me and I should just be grateful. Well that was the truth, wasn't it? That he could? My feelings don't matter and I shouldn't even have them. That my body is not mine, it's his. My alpha's. Right. I must have forgotten. After several moments, caresses and kisses, finally getting his fill, he took his leave. Be a good omega and do as you're told. Even though I wanted to throw up, I shook my feelings away and left the building. Push them down, hide them away, Omega aren't allowed to feel. My father's car was waiting for me at the front entrance.
"Did you take care of what you needed to?" My father asked as I worked to get inside the car. Being this pregnant makes even simple tasks very difficult.
"They won't let me take math or science this semester."
"Probably for the best." He dismissed. Of course he didn't care. He already got his wish. The best he could have hoped for. His omega son, 14 and pregnant by a prime alpha. "How was your ultrasound?"
"The baby is fine." I said curtly, looking out the window as the car began to drive.
"Good, we can report that to the Bakugos. I caution you to be on your best behavior, Shoto. I won't have you embarrassing me tonight with that notorious attitude of yours." Yes, expressing any kind of genuine emotion is considered attitude and makes me an unruly omega. Right. I must have forgotten.
"I won't embarrass you."
"Remember your manners. This might be your only chance to have some worth in this world."
"Yes." He moved his hand to comb my hair, split it perfectly down the middle and make sure each side was perfectly balanced. He adjusted my collar, his large hands touching it softly.
"Has the Alpha marked you yet?"
"No."
"Good, we can use that as leverage. He knows of your quirk?"
"He is aware." My father nodded, leaving silence for the rest of the ride home. We arrived home and as instructed, I tidied the house to receive guests.
Ten minutes later the doorbell rang. The Bakugo's were here. My father answered the door and I stood behind him in submission. I stayed in my place, taking their coats and bowing. Katsuki's mom walked in first, clearly the alpha of the family, studying our home. She looked displeased. I said nothing as my father gave a small tour and the group made its way to the dining room. I ended up sitting in between Katsuki and my father as the servants served dinner.
"You have servants, Enji. I didn't realize the hero business was so good." Mitsuki said almost backhandedly.
"As the Number One Hero, I do pretty well." He only rose to the position because the sire of my child, for some unknown reason, retired to pursue teaching. How would my father react knowing I was carrying his biggest rival's spawn? The unpleasant thought made me consider vomiting once again.
"Yes, I was comforted to learn that Kastuki's chosen omega was the son of such a successful Alpha hero."
"You'll find that Shoto is perfect in every way. For an omega of course. He'd make a fine addition to your family."
"Katsuki doesn't say much. Barely wanted to tell me he got an omega pregnant. In fact the school had to call to give me the news. Tell me, what makes him so perfect?"
"His genetics of course."
"His physical attributes are quite striking."
"Not to mention his quirk. Fire and Ice."
Mitsuki rose an eyebrow. "He can do them both?"
"Yes."
I looked down, eating my dinner in silence, like a good omega should. Once again, my worth, or lack thereof, was being evaluated. "You can stop talking about him like he's some prized pony or something. He's sitting right here."
"Katsuki, quiet." Mitsuki said dangerously, turning back to my father. "I think we've exchanged enough pleasantries Enji. Let's get right to it. My… adolescent alpha has impregnated your young omega. The Bakugo family must… take a certain amount of responsibility here. So… what is it that you want?"
"Complete financial responsibility for the pup."
"Of course."
"And I want royalties. If that pup is Alpha, its legacy is mine." The government incentivises having alpha pups. Pays stipends, pays for schooling, status. Having an alpha child sets the family up for life. Instant wealth. If they go on to be famous, powerful, everything grows exponentially. My father has profited greatly on his own legacy, but greed and glory being a key part of his personality, he always wants more. Even at the expense of his own child and potential grandchildren.
Mitsuki nodded. "That can be arranged. But we want the omega's womb. All his fertile years, every pregnancy, control of when and how often." I felt myself stop breathing.
"Ma. That's too much. Are you insane?"
"I want complete control over this genetic line. That shouldn't be too hard, right Enji?"
"Exclusive breeding rights…" My father played with the thought in his head.
"We can offer a mating mark." So I'd be tied to Katsuki for the rest of my life. Never physically able to be with another Alpha again without immense pain. Nothing but a status. "And… marriage." A small explosion happened in the chair next to me. Yeah, I don't exactly want to marry you either. "Your omega can be the head bitch of the household. So long as leeway is given for other concubines." All the responsibility and I'd have to raise some other omega's pups along with my own?
"You sure have a lot of faith in the quality of your Alpha son."
"He's number one in his class Enji, destined to be the number one hero."
"And how exactly is he going to achieve that? After the sports festival, I saw his recruiting status. Heroes are scared to work with him."
"But you're not." Mitsuki contended.
"Mitsuki… I thought we agreed we were not going to counter with that." Masaro, Katsuki's omega father, spoke up for the first time all evening.
"Endeavor is a formidable hero, one that Katsuki should deeply look up to. If his omega has connections, we should use them."
"You want me to give Katsuki a job?"
"We want you to give him a career. A legacy. Teach him everything you know, guarantee his spot as number one hero. Ensure it."
My father tapped his fingers on the table. I looked up at him. Please don't do this. "Any Alpha children within this bond. I get the legacy of."
"Certainly. But he has to deliver naturally. A drug free birth plan for all his pregnancies." Oh. I didn't realize that someone else would control… even that. I always knew I wouldn't have much control over any of my decisions, but hearing it out loud. My life is being handed over to the Bakugo's, and Mitsuki's willingness to take it is… unsettling. "I'll give you a moment to think it over. Shoto, why don't you come with me and help cut the cheesecake we brought." Mitsuki said with a smile. I hesitated but my father scooted my chair out for me, his fire burning particularly hot. A private conversation with my new owner. The final evaluation before I am purchased. If I mess this up my father will beat the living daylights out of me. This is my only opportunity to show I may actually have some worth. That my womb is a valuable commodity. Right. I must have forgotten.
"Yes ma'am." I got up from my seat and followed her to the kitchen. The second she closed the door I was shocked by a slap across my face. I put a hand to my cheek and realized I was bleeding.
"You must be a great whore." I was completely stunned. I couldn't even process- "My son is gay Shoto. The last thing he'd want is to have a baby with some cheap omega slut, derailing his hero career in any way. How'd you do it? Huh? How'd you get him in bed?" She demanded, gripping my arm tightly. I closed my eyes. I have had enough for one day.
"Isn't it obvious? You know how I look. How I smell. It wasn't exactly hard." She was clearly shocked that I had spoken to her that way. That any omega would even consider challenging her. Maybe I snapped, I just… I just couldn't take it anymore. I strategically moved deeper into the kitchen, getting the cheesecake so she didn't slap me again. May as well go for broke. "If anything you should be thanking me. With someone that looks like me, with my status… no one will ever question your gay son. I did you a favor." Her red eyes looked at me with a contempt that almost made me lose all my nerve. Was she going to kill me? Right here in the kitchen? She stepped closer and I tried not to flinch. She reached up and gripped my chin firmly.
"Count your blessings, omega. There won't be many more in your future under my care." She went back into the dining room, slamming the door with a bang. Breathe Shoto. Breathe. I cut the cheesecake and gave it to the servants to serve. My hands were shaking. I then went back into the dining room and sat in my seat. Misuki did not try to hide her glare at me.
"We will have our lawyers draft a contract, Enji. You have yourself a deal. We'll take your omega."
Katsuki's P.O.V.
"Is that everything?"
"Yes." I lifted his bag over my shoulder and closed the car door.
"Stop looking at it, it's not like it's going anywhere."
"Right, yes." Half 'n half covered his left hand with his right and looked down. My family just put a big ole rock on his finger. It's official, we were… engaged.
"Come on." I grunted, taking his other suitcase and walking into the dorms. The common room was a buzz, everyone excited for the new school year. The administration had allowed the students to throw a little party. Everyone just looked relaxed, talking, flirting. I made direct eye contact with my ex and felt an immediate heat in my palms and a sinking feeling in my heart. There he was, having the time of his life, letting Tetsutetsu make him laugh, his arm around him, a blush on his face. There was no doubt in my mind they were together. He found a new Alpha to treat him right. I felt like I was being stabbed in the heart.
"You should join them. You deserve to blow off some steam after tonight."
"Nah. Parties ain't my thing anyways. Let's just get you moved in." I readjusted the bag on my shoulder and we walked to the mated part of the dorms. We got… upgraded. A bigger room, room enough for the baby. Icy Hot has to move in with me now, the fuckin administration thought it would be best for us. They were over the moon finding out I knocked him up, but they just wanted to make sure it would stick by having us live together too.
I unlocked the new dorm room and put the bags down. Halfie took a position in the corner and rubbed his stomach. He looked damn uncomfortable. He was as huge as a house, just hitting six months today, but already looking closer to nine. My spawn is a fuckin nightmare on him. Big and heavy as all hell. I felt pretty bad for the guy.
"Go sit on the bed. No reason for you to suffer." He needed my permission to do everything, and seeing as he just had a rough enough night tonight meeting my mother, I didn't feel a need to give him a hard time right now. She hit him. No one said shit about it, but when he came back from the kitchen he had a cut on his cheekbone surrounded by a mom shaped handprint forming a bruise. And now she owns him. Well… I guess technically I do. It's total bullshit but… I guess I'm better than his dad or my mom. At least… I won't hit him and shit. I can… try to treat him like a damn human being. He sat on the bed and rubbed his back and his front. I took the key out of my pocket and unlocked his collar. His whole body is swollen as fuck, that collar has to be nothing but painful at this point.
"Ma's gonna order a new one for you soon. It'll have the Bakugo family crest on it. But I don't think you'll have to wear it until after the baby is born." I put the collar on the desk then sat in the desk chair.
"I didn't think… that she would want control over even my birth plan."
"It's fucked up that she wants you to do it naturally."
"If you believe the wives' tale that drugs during childbirth cause children not to be alpha, then it's understandable. It's more honorable for an omega to give birth naturally anyway." He said, rubbing the same spot under his belly and making a pained expression. God he looked uncomfortable. Doesn't he know that even though male omega evolved with the purpose of having children, evolution still fucked up? I looked this shit up. Their hips aren't always wide enough, their male anatomy can get in the way and make it harder. I've been doom scrolling horror stories where male omega pushed for 24 hours, nearly died, exhausted, and had to have a C-section anyway. Why go through all that unnecessary pain?
"Here, lemme… try something." I got in the bed behind him and put my legs on either side of his hips.
"Bakugo." I put my hands under his belly and gently lifted. He let out a moan and rested his head on my shoulder. "That feels wonderful."
"Saw it in a pregnancy magazine. Thought it might help." I started rubbing a little, just trying to be helpful. This is the longest he's ever let me put my hands on him, the most intimate we've ever been since the conception. I'm not even sure we were this intimate when I was knocking him up. It was nice but… I still didn't feel any sort of connection to the baby. "Shoto?"
"Humm?"
"Have you heard of the… buzz?"
"Buzz?"
"That alphas are supposed to get when they bond with their baby's in utero."
"Oh… yes. It's a heightening of your protective instincts… some would say bonding. Why do you bring it up?"
"It's… it's just… I don't feel it. Like I'm broken or something."
He shook his head and removed my hands from his body. "Maybe you are broken." He said harshly. Well that made me feel like shit. He got up and went to get his phone out of his bag. "Denki's having the baby." He said flatly, closing the phone and coming back to sit with me.
"Right now?" He nodded. "You gonna go be with him? Omega support system or whatever?"
"I don't… we are not that close. Although he texted me to tell me the news, I sense he's still upset with me for…"
"Ruining my life?"
He looked down. "I believe I miss Izuku's friendship the most."
"Were you two like… together?"
"We umm… He was the closest I've ever been to anyone. I believe I formed a deep bond with him in such a short time. To not have that, with all I've been going through. It's difficult." Damn. "Do you miss Eijiro?"
"Of course I do."
"I'm sorry."
"Hey, it takes two to tango right?" It's just as much my fault as it is yours, probably even more so.
He shook his head. "You're right Bakugo. I ruined your life. I caused you to lose your relationship, now your family is forcing you to marry me. You should hate me, with everything you have, you should hate me." That was… harsh. He is really beating himself up for this.
"Can't… wouldn't be heroic."
