Deku continued to hold you until he pulled away slightly after a few minutes. He kept his hands on your waist as his green eyes scanned your more relaxed expression. He took a tissue from his coat and wiped the stray tears away as he said:

"Y'know, you don't have to do this alone right?" His fingertips lingered on your cheek for a brief moment. "I think the rest of the class might have something to say about this that can help you."

You froze and kept your eyes down at his statement. "Does everyone have to know?" You said barely above a whisper.

"Oh! Umm...that's not at all what I meant." He started nervously rambling to you. "I'm saying like...uh...how do I put this? I meant that it might be nice to...uh...relate to people who have similar experiences and probably some wisdom and um..." His rant trailed into a string of muttering as he turned slightly and scratched at the back of his neck.

You giggled slightly at his panicked recovery. He turned to face you and upon seeing you laughing he covered his face as he blushed. "I did it again, didn't I?" He groaned comedically into his hands and looked up at your now smiling face with a goofy grin. "It's good to see you laugh." His smile widened as his eyes sparkled in the afternoon sun. His eyes met yours as he took your hands. "I'm being serious, though. The class you get behind you and support you know matter what."

"Will they?" You looked down as you thought about every possible way that bringing this up or asking for advice could go wrong.

"Ok, how about this:" Deku put his hands on his waist and he leaned over slightly to make eye contact with you as he said in a slightly teasing tone: "We'll do it your way." He said with a somewhat dramatic sigh.

"Why did you have to say it that way?" You laugh as you lightly shove him by the shoulders.

"Woah! Hey, now!" He laughed as he took a step back and put his hands up in a mocking defense. He chuckled lowly to himself at the playful gestures and ran his hands through his hair before sighing and looking out over the scenery from the rooftop you two were still standing on. He turned to look at you after a moment of silence.

"Y'know, all I was trying to say wa-" He was cut off by a shrill ring of the school bell. "Shit, did we use up our whole lunch?" He scrambled to all of his belongings momentarily before he paused, dropped everything, and ran back to you bringing you into a secure hug. His grip on you tightened slightly as he breathed in and said in a hushed tone, "I hope you never leave."

The hug lasted several more seconds as the words settled into the caring atmosphere that Deku brought to the rooftop. The bell rang a second time and he quickly let you go as he hurriedly picked up his stuff and ran back to the door. He stopped after opening it.

"Hey! C'mon we gotta move!" He yelled over his shoulder as he held the door.

"But your lunch!" You yelled back. Neither of you willing to move closer and continued the yelling battle. "I don't even have a class, idiot!"

"You can have it! It just happens to be your favorite!" He yelled with a wink.

You turned silently, picked up the tray, and saw that he was right. You stared at the tray for a few seconds before your thought was cut off by Deku's voice.

"Y/N!" He yelled in your general direction

"Yeah?!" You responded just as loud.

"Please just think about it, ok? We got your back!" he said slightly quieter.

"I'll talk if you go to class!" You yell back with a noticeable hint of sass in your voice as you put your hands on your hips.

"A deals' a deal!" He yelled before winking at you again and flying down the stairs to his class letting the door slam behind him.

You sit on the bench and eat the lunch that was left behind. As you eat, you laugh internally at the battle of volume that just happened between the two of you. You thought more about his suggestion and set down your cookie before sighing to yourself, "He's right."
