A/N The title, is a lie.
Alt title: Prelude to something great.
.
Happy new years you FoxFans! That's your new names.
I got a milk frother! I can make cappuccinos and lattes now! I'm so happy!
.
Redburndragon: Oh absolutely. Hell, any interaction between Tattletale and Lyra would immediately clue Tattletale in.
Not that she would say anything. Rachel being alive would only screw over Coil in the long run.
Kaykaykaykayan: You're welcome and happy holidays!
Grimnosh: Happy holidays!
I can tell you ONE of those ponderings you're wondering about will be answered here!
Binaryrecord274: *Evil Devil Smiley Emoji Thing*
The dawn, before the snowstorm.
That'll make sense at the end of the chapter.
Casanova5424: Actually you responded the day of. And I personally believe he can chug bleach while being anal raped by an overly enthusiatic elephant with HIV and Syphilis. He is such a sleaze bag! He drugged a nine year old little girl and kept her in his basement! And would show her off and call her his pet! Who does that?! I'm willing to bet money he's a secret pedophile. Just, popped open a timeline every now and then and, I'm not finishing that.
DancingLeaf: There's nothing for me to say to that other than thank you. That is a very beautiful thing to say.
RadChaos897: Favorite chapter, so far.
And I refuse to put a cuteness warnings. This whole series I've created is a cuteness warning.
And Kitsu wouldn't help Shadow Stalker. Kitsu's view of others is heavily tinted by her meta knowledge. Hence her reluctance to fight Permafrost all that time ago. Hell, the events Kitsu hates Shadow Stalker for haven't happened and likely never will. Yet she still dislikes her. Kitsu is a very flawed character.
And you assume correctly. Kitsu has adopted the plan of. "Have Wade keep an eye out for any appearance of Thomas Calvert. And kill him anytime he shows up." Playing a game of slowly whittling down his resources as he's forced to stay in his base. That's why Coil was fine until he reached the stop lights. The traffic cam caught his image and Wade was able to forward that to Kitsu.
I like to imagine their initials are a subtle middle finger to nazi's. I mean, heck. Static Shock's name, Vergil Hawkins is a reference to a black man who got denied entrance to a college purely based on his race.
As for the MGE. I've read it all. I like the Ratatoskr, Dormouse, Kobold, and Yeti.
The yeti looks like she'd give the best hugs!
As for Monmusu? I like Papi! The original concept for Kitsu was going to have her look like rainbow serpent version of Papi. Those wings look so soft! And her voice! I simp for voices.
And happy holidays!
Misaka Phenex: WHICH LEMON?!
LoveLifeForever: Kitsu doesn't hold him responsible for what happened. She just fears the event ever being made public. She dislikes him because to her, she sees him as a reminder of that fear. Realistically she knows Neil is only half at fault. She just doesn't like it.
And her and Dennis's relationship isn't bad. It's just awkward. What with her killing him. Bringing him back. Healing his dad. Traumatizing him on a date. And then ghosting him.
Kitsu is not good at handling embarrassment. And is taking a, let time heal things here, approach. Dennis is mostly chill about it at this point.

Kitsu POV
.
This is heart wrenching! I don't know how to deal with this.
"I wish we had a tree out here." Missy says.
"Hrm?" I ask from behind my tail.
It's a good tail. It protects me from the predatory Missy. Though it's a temporary measure. I need to find a way to fight back! Or she'll get me!
"That way I'd have something to lean against as I hold you." She says with a deceptively innocent smile. "But the grass is nice too, I suppose."
I died. She got me.
.
.
Missy "Vista" Biron POV
.
This is fun!
She's holding her tail to her face. Hiding behind it like a pillow. Only her eyes are visible when she pokes her head up. Her ears are splayed back so hard they're blending into her hair.
"Thank you for this." I say genuinely. "It was sweet."
She used her allowance to make the perfect date for me. It's not fancy. It's not extravagant. But it's just me and her, out of the public eye. All because I don't like being in the public eye.
She did this for me, with me in mind and what I'd like. And that's what makes it perfect.
"You're welcome." She finally squeaks.
I want to kiss her more. But it just, doesn't feel like the right moment. You know?
Screw it. If I keep waiting for the right moment, I'll never get it.
I lean across the blanket, steadying a hand on it to keep myself up. Bringing a hand up to cup her cheek as her eyes widen and her tail twitches.
She closes her eyes and moves her tail out of the way. And I lean in for the kiss.
Magical.

Kitsu POV
.
No Missy today. Her dad has her this weekend and apparently, he didn't know about her staying over and as such he demanded her to come home.
Her parents are in another fight and are using her as a tool. I want to do something. But anything just short of torture and mastering. Or murdering them. There's nothing I can really do. Not without tipping my hand and possibly getting arrested at least.
Let it be known though. If I ever find a bruise from "Falling down the stairs" on her. All bets are off. I will make them look like a rejected prop from a hellraiser movie. Laws and rules be damned.
Anyway, that's why I'm patrolling on my own while Missy is at the Rig trying to convince Miss Militia to give her patrol duty. She lied to her dad to get out of the house by telling him she swapped shifts.
Apart from that there's Crystal's graduation this Tuesday. Eric is making streams again now that finals are over. I've been thinking about doing so as well. But I'd need a computer and a whole set up. And I don't have the money for that.
Maybe I can ask for one for Christmas?
"Oh my gosh it's her!" I hear a slightly familiar voice.
Turning around I see a trio of teens. Two I recognize as Emma in a blue blouse, skinny jeans and a pink skirt. Taylor in baggier jeans, a white shirt and a loose black jacket over it. And the other being an unknown younger girl in jeans and an oversized yellow hoodie.
Great. Emma. She's one of my fans. She's one of those pushy types as well. Not malicious, but she does not know how to take no as an answer!
"No you may not pet my tail." I say automatically.
I've met her three times between now and the signing. Once on a random patrol. Once at the mall while looking at coffee makers to secretly replace the one I broke. Long story.
Side note. No one noticed.
And once when I went with Mom to her work. She was with her dad.
"Wow Em." The younger girl says. "Got a reputation with her and everything?"
"It's nothing bad!" Emma says.
"She's my stalker." I say.
"Lies!" Emma defends.
"You showed up at my Mom's work." I counter.
"Damn Em." Taylor says in mock surprise. "I knew you were pushy, but you followed her mother to get to her? Should I be concerned?"
"I'm just being targeted." Emma says. "That's fine!"
She crosses her arms and huffs.
"Sorry about that." Taylor says. "You probably don't remember me but-"
"Taylor Hebert." I say with a smile. "I met you at the signing."
She raises her brow in surprise.
"Oh, you do?" She asks. "Well, anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. Ever since you bank rolled the Ferry's reconstruction; my dad has been through the roof and my life has never been happier."
"That's good to hear." I say. "Will you be at the opening party?"
"I will!" She says. "I assume you'll be there as well?"
"Yep!" I say with a nod.
The big reopening. The mayor will be there as well. Mostly as a publicity stunt. He's promised to bring back the ferry for years. And now we come in and do it for him?
Long story short, the only way we got the permits to operate it was through him. And we have to make it seem like it was his idea.
Politics, bleh!
"Um, can I get your autograph?" The younger girl says.
"Sure!" I say. "Got a pen and paper?"
"Yes!" She says excitedly and slides her backpack off.
Digging around in it she hands me a notebook and a pen.
"Who's this for?" I ask.
"Madison Clements." She says. "And thank you so much! You and Vista's relationship is everything in my life right now." She gushes.
'Oh, oh dear.' I think as I fight a blush.
She's MainProtagonist. I read a few of her fics during my heat. Don't judge! Some of them were very wholesome and romantic!
"Well, I don't know how to answer that so here!" I say and hand her the signed notebook.
"Thank you!" She whisper shouts with a wide smile. "The only thing that could make this better is if I got Vista's as well! Aaahh!"
And she's fangirling.
I don't mind. Contrary to Missy. I very much enjoy the attention. I especially enjoy the praise and hero worship.
*Rrrm*
And that's my phone.
Fishing it out of my pocket. Opening it. I see it's a text from Missy.
(Got ptrl! :D)-M
(Where u at sweetcheeks?)-M
(Boardwalk)-K
(Brt)-M
"Well, maybe someday." I say as I put my phone away.
I don't mention Missy's on her way over because unlike me. Missy doesn't like having fans. Missy is all for the peacekeeping aspect of the job. But she hates the celebrity status that comes with it.
"Well, since there's nothing else going on." Emma starts saying sweetly with a flutter of her lashes.
"No." I say right away.
"Oh come on!" She whines. "I just want to be your friend!"
"And you just want to be my friend because I'm cute and fluffy." I point out.
"That's not, entirely true." She says.
"I'm sorry. But any and all responses will not be catalogued." I say robotically. "The fox is a lie."
I then turn invisible. Completely disappearing from sight as I walk away from my kinda stalker.
Maybe me and Missy can meet up at that café by rosemary. I like that place.
Even if they refuse to spell my name correctly.

Lyra POV
.
"Okay, I'm going to show you the pictures. And I want you to tell me what emotion they're expressing." My therapist says.
"Rm." I give a grunt.
She flips over a card. The person has their mouth wide open, teeth barred.
"Angry."
"Laughing." She corrects. "You can tell by the way their eyes are. And how open their mouth is."
"How?" I ask.
"See here?" She says and points to the picture's eyes. "Her smile pushes her cheeks up. Partially closing her eyes."
I, guess I see it.
"And her teeth. They're not clenched." She says and flips over another card, this one similar to the first.
"See in this picture, the man has his eyes open fully. And his teeth are touching." She points out.
"Rm." I nod.
"Okay, one more and we're done for the day." She says.
She flips over a card. This one is like the first. A man with his teeth barred. But not touching and his eyes are partially closed.
"Happy?" I ask.
"Very good Lyra!" She says. "And with that, I believe we can end our session on a positive note."
She's better at this than Brian. Brian would just keep going until I got fed up with him. She points out the differences and helps me see where I'm messing up.
"I'll see you next week. Same time." She says as she starts packing up her stuff. "I was hoping we could continue with more of this. Or, if you feel up to it. Get you more accustomed to eye contact?"
"Doesn't matter." I say.
"We'll flip a coin then." She says with a closed smile.
She leaves my room without another word. AS soon as the door closes, Brutus walks over to me. Sitting down and staring me in the eyes before quickly looking away in deference.
I reach down and scratch his ears.
"Good boy." I say.
And that starts a chain reaction of the other two running up to me. Judas hopping off the bed and Angelica running from underneath it.
They gave me a very spacious room. More than big enough for me. And my dogs.
They said with good behavior I can get more dogs.
Dogs are great. Much better than people. They don't hide their intentions. There's no looking into the meaning of their actions. And they're loyal to a fault.
And they each have their own personality.
Brutus is eager and loyal. Angelica is overprotective and playful. And Judas is just lazy.
"Alright, walks." I say and walk over to grab their leashes.
So long as no one is using the training room. I can walk my dogs in there. Grabbing their leashes from the hook by my door. They line up for me to leash them.
Hooking their leashes and opening the door. They trot out in an orderly fashion as we make our way to the training room.
Passing several people in uniforms. Guards that set me on edge, regular staff that are just there.
I make it to the training room uneventfully. Unhooking my dogs, I let them run around.
Judas runs laps around the large room. And Angelica playfully attacks Brutus. Biting and trying to get on top of him. With him biting back and tossing her off. Eventually leading to them rolling over each other. After about an hour of this I whistle to call them back and head back to my room.
Monday through Friday I have two hours dedicated to home schooling. Saturday, I see my therapist. Sunday is free for me to do whatever so long as I stay out of trouble.
A little boring. But I've had enough excitement lately.
I reach my room and put the leashes up. Brutus and Angelica continue their play fight from earlier. And Judas hops onto the bed and lays down.
He has the right idea.
I undress. Tossing my tee shirt and shorts off to the side and lay down next to Judas. Lazy day it is.
Not long after I lay down. Brutus and Angelica stop wrestling and climb up onto the bed with me. Angelica taking her new favored spot on my back.

Missy "Vista" Biron POV
.
"And right here." Lyra says as she scratches Brutus's ears. "This little divot right here. Make sure to graze that with your thumb."
She shows me how. And Brutus goes from tail wagging. To thumping his back leg.
Kitsu isn't here right now. She's actually taking singing lessons at a place called Dancing Leaf Studios. Her parents signed her up after she said she wanted to be a singer. And with summer coming up it's the perfect time.
Lyra finishes petting Brutus. And gestures for me to do so.
I miss my own dogs. Duchess and Bear. Brutus kind of looks like Duchess. If he were smaller.
Maybe I can convince my parents to finally let me have one?
"You're a good boy." I say to Brutus.

-Tuesday, June 22nd, 12pm, Arcadia High-
.
.
"Graduating with high honors. Crystal Pelham!" The principle says.
She walks onto the stage and accepts her diploma with a smile. Turning to the crowd for Neil and Sarah to get pictures.
We're all sat in the second row. With Mom at the very end. It goes, Mom, Vicky, Me, Dad, Amy, Neil, Sarah, Eric.
Next year is my official first year of High School. And the year after that is Missy's. My STEM scores actually put me at college level. It's everything else that's subpar.
Oh well. Summer before that!
"Why are we here?" Vicky whispers.
"It's a family event. We're here for support." Mom whispers back.
"I'm just here for the pizza party afterwards." I whisper back.
"What pizza?" Amy says. "It's Crystal's party. She doesn't like pizza."
I slowly turn my head to look up at Dad.
"Is it true father?" I ask. "Have I been lied to by the one meant to never betray me?"
He gives no indication that he'll answer me. Or that he even heard me.
"Hey Ames." He says.
"No, deal with the munchkin yourself." She says plainly.
"Damn it."
"Language!" I point up at him.
"Shhh!" Mom shushes us.
I sit still and mostly quiet for the rest of the ceremony. Afterwards we all meet up at the Pelham's house.

Mark "Flashbang" Dallon POV
.
"Alright, I'm sorry." I tell the fuzzy ball of grumpiness.
"You promised pizza." She grumbles.
"There's lasagna!" I say placatingly. "That's pizza adjacent!"
I really thought there would be. But Kitsu's not taking that.
"But not, pizza!" She counters.
She's refusing to leave the car.
"I tried." I say and crawl into the backseat.
I unbuckle her and drag her out. She's not resisting. But she's also not helping. Dead weighting in my arms.
"So, you're just going to be like this?" I ask as I hold her in front of me.
"No Missy, no pizza, no sushi, no video games, no me." She says.
She likes sushi now.
"Okay then." I say to the moody tween. Well, teen.
I put her under my arm and carry her like luggage.
"Uuuhh, my stomach." She groans at her position, but doesn't let up from dead weighting.
"You can always move on your own." I say as I close the car door.
"Nuuu~"
"Then luggage it is." I say and lock the car.
"Put me on your shoulders!" She demands.
"Nope. We're going in the house." I say.
"But we're going to the back- hang on." She says as she suddenly stops.
"What?" I ask as I step through the door. It has the banner congratulating Crystal over it in Arcadia's red and gold banner.
"Um, nothing." She says softly. "You can let me down now."
I do so and she walks in step behind me. Looking back at her, I see she's acting oddly, fidgety. Her ears are down, and her tail is twitching and curling behind her.
"Everything alright kiddo?" I ask as we pass the stairs and head further to the back.
She doesn't say anything. And instead gains a slight blush.
"Kitsu." I try and get her attention.
"Huh?" She asks.
.
.
Kitsu POV
.
"I asked if you were alright." He says.
"I'm fine!" I squeak.
"Holy shit you're huge!" I hear Crystal say from upstairs.
"Um, thanks?" I hear Firebreather say.
Are they going to fuck? Here? Where everyone is expecting Crystal to be out?
"Are you sure?" He asks.
"I'm uh, not sure what else I'm supposed to do here." Fire says awkwardly.
Holy crap they are!
"Yeah just, lost in thought." I say as my attention is elsewhere.
"Just leave it to me." She says.
"Alright, if you're genuinely not feeling good. We can go home." Dad says.
"That's fine!" I say.
Okay, not gonna lie. I wanna see how this ends.
"Oh fuck." Fire groans as slurping sounds are made.
Now I'm just waiting for them to get caught. There is no other reason!
"Pah! Damn, half way is the best I can get." Crystal says. "You're just too thick."
No other reason! I swear! Definitely not because this is one of the hottest things I've heard in a while! There is no ulterior motive here!
.
.
Carol "Brandish" Dallon POV
.
"So where's Kitsu?" Sarah asks.
"Still in the car." I tell her with a sigh. "She's playing drama queen over there not being pizza here."
"We can order some really quick if it's an issue." She says.
"No, she's mostly playing drama queen for Mark." I say with a role of my eyes. "If he wasn't here, she'd just mope about it."
"Oh, so, a daddy's girl then?" Sarah says with a smile.
"I swear they share a brain cell sometimes." I tell her.
"Just like Crystal and Neil when she was younger." Sarah says with a smile. "I remember one time when she was eight, she pretended to be sick so she could stay home. But when she learned I was off and Neil had work, she got up and said, 'Well you're not the fun one.'"
I wish I had stories like that. But Mark wasn't all there for Vicky or Amy. And neither was I.
"Speaking of Crystal, where is she?" I ask, hoping to change the subject.
"She's in her room getting ready." Sarah says. "Putting her gown and diploma away and changing into something better."
"Is Firebreather going to be here?" I ask. "You said she and him are dating now."
"Yeah he should be on his way." She says. "He doesn't have a phone or anything so contacting him is a hassle."
"How you ladies want your steaks?!" Neil asks.
"Medium!" Sarah shouts.
"Medium rare!" I shout back.
"Oh! There's Kitsu and Mark." Sarah says as she leans over to peer past me. "Is everything alright?"
Turning around I see Kitsu following behind Mark. Ears down, blushing, and tail curled.
"I'm, not sure." I say slowly. "I don't think I've seen her like that before."
'Is it the party?' I ponder. 'Could this be repeat of her birthday party, and she doesn't know how to act?'
"I'll go see." I say and set my cup of punch down on the fold out table.
Kitsu separates from Mark and goes off to sit at the picnic table with Amy and Pinky. I decide to go to Mark to see if I can't garner anything I might've missed.
"Hey honey." He says and we share a quick kiss. "What's up?"
"Just wondering if something happened with the third daughter in our house." I say with a smile. "She seems off."
"Yeah, I have no clue." He says with a shake of his head. "We were walking through the house when she suddenly stopped and started acting weird. Distracted and like she's trying to hide something."
"Hmm, nothing of note?" I ask.
"Not that I can think of." He says with a shrug. "If you can get more from her then be my guest."
"Yeah, I think I'll do that." I say and walk over to her.
I get halfway there when I hear something. And out of reflex I throw my hand up and catch a Frisbee that would've hit me in the head.
"Crap!" I hear Eric say. "Sorry Aunt Carol!"
I look up to see him and Vicky flying up top.
I toss the Frisbee back up and he flies over to catch it.
"Be more careful!" I shout back.
I continue my way over to the bench and tap Kitsu on the shoulder.
"Huh!?" She jumps.
She never jumps. She's normally so aware you have to make a distraction to catch her off guard.
"Hey, can I talk to you over here?" I say softly and jut a finger towards the house.
"Um, I guess?" She says unsurely.
I start walking with her following me. We make to the house and step inside. The whole time I'm preparing myself to help her with whatever difficulties she's having. We stop in the living room.
"Alright, what's the matter?" I ask.
She doesn't respond. Instead, she has a thousand yard stare as her ear flicks to the stairs as her blush gets worse.
"Kitsu." I say a little louder.
"Huh!" She squeaks.
"What's the matter?" I ask again.
"Nothing!" She insists and her tail twitches.
Her tone and body language leads me to few possibilities.
"Kitsu, are, are you in heat again?" I ask in a whisper as I lean down to better meet her eyes.
Her blush explodes as she starts stuttering.
"I, du, da, no!" She says. "That's a once a year thing! And don't talk about it!"
Two possibilities left then.
"Kitsu, are you listening to something you shouldn't?" I ask. "Don't lie to me."
She just stares at me with a blush. Biting her lip as her tail curls in front of her and she hugs it to hide.
"Maybe?" She says and then mutters. "Not like I can not."
"Okay." I say and rise up.
At least it's not option three. God that is not a conversation I wanted to have.
This is one of the unseen troubles Kitsu has. Her ears are good. Too good. She can hear everything in the house. And by how hard her blush is. Well.
"Oh! Hey Aunt Carol." I hear from the stairs. "Didn't know you were here already. I didn't keep everyone waiting, did I?"
I turn to the girl in question. And I can tell. The smile, the rosy cheeks.
I turn back to Kitsu. Who is refusing to look in Crystal's direction. And is holding her nose.
"Firebreather's upstairs, isn't he?" I ask the girl quietly.
She nods her head.
"Hmm?" Crystal hums. "What's up."
"Nothing." I say, turning to address the girl. "Just talking with Kitsu about a few private things. Come on sweetheart, Neil's making steaks."
Kitsu wordlessly follows after. And Crystal soon behind her as well.
.
.
Amy "Panacea" Dallon POV
.
"Yeah, Eric's been like, super nice and helpful." Pinky says. "In fact, he's even helping me set up a streaming account to play games and earn money from it!"
"Neat." I say sarcastically. "He must be a great friend huh?"
It's obvious. I mean. Not that I can blame him. This girl is curvier than some of the pornstars I've seen. Don't look at me like that! If you wouldn't think anything of a boy doing it, you shouldn't think anything of a girl doing it.
"Uh, yeah." She says uncertainly. "Friend."
"Well at least you know." I say under my breath. "Do you know who else is going to be here?"
"Um, Crystal's friend Sarah, Firebreather, Gully, and Dean." She answers.
My mood immediately sours at Deans name being mentioned. I know he's not a bad guy. But I can't help how I feel and what I want. And he has everything I want.
"Hey Ames!" I hear Vicky say as she flies down and lands to sit next to me. "Get this! Look at Crystal. Don't make it obvious."
'Speak of the devil.' I think amusingly.
I turn around and look to Crystal who's talking to Aunt Sarah. She sees me and waves. I wave back.
"I said don't make it obvious!" She hisses at me.
"What am I even supposed to be looking at?" I ask.
"You don't see it?" She asks. "She totally just got laid."
"How do you even tell something like that?" I ask. "And so? Why's that a big deal?"
"I uh, think I heard Neil call my name." Pinky says and shuffles off.
'Huh, Pinky turns purple when she blushes.' I idly note.
"Ugh, I'm surrounded by prudes." Vicky says dramatically as she rests her head in her hand.
"You're surrounded by people with boundaries." I correct her.
"Yeah, sure." She says noncommittally. "Hey, think I could get details out of Kitsu?"
"I dare you to try." I say sarcastically.
It's no secret that Kitsu and Vicky don't like each other. They don't hate each other. And can have a civil conversation. But they're too similar in the worst ways.
They're both gossips. Both overly energetic, excitable, stubborn, the list goes on. Hell, personality wise Kitsu is just a more energetic and fluffy Vicky.
"You're on!" She says and flies off.
"Wait what?"
.
.
Kitsu POV
.
I can't look her in the eyes! I mean, it was hot. But this is someone I have to engage with on a regular basis! And I can never unhear what I heard. I mean, good for her. Sounds like she really enjoyed herself. But still! Her dirty talk is cringe!
And the smell! Oh god! She reeks! Don't get me wrong. She bathed. But there is no covering up all of that in such a little amount of time.
Great, her boning Fire is all I can think about now.
"Hey Keets!" I hear as Vicky flies over. "I need to ask you something really quick!"
She then grabs me and flies away with me in toe.
She takes us to a corner of the fenced in yard and let's go of me.
"Okay, spill." She says. "Tell me everything!"
"About what?" I ask.
"Don't play dumb!" She accuses. "I know you heard Crystal. Gimme the details!"
"Wha, buh, diya, no." I say evenly.
"Why not?" She whines.
"Because I don't want to?" I say. "And besides that, I don't think it's any of your business."
"What if offered something in exchange?" She asks.
"What are you offering?" I ask cautiously.
She pulls out her phone and types a few things before showing me a video.
It's me and Missy's picnic date!
I immediately swipe the phone from her and zoom in on us.
"You recorded this?!" I ask in disbelief.
"Yep." She says smugly. "And if don't tell me."
"Why didn't I think of that?!" I whine out loud as I ignore her. "Aww, that's when she fed me!"
I gush over the video for a while longer. I imagine if Missy were here, she'd be crying in embarrassment. This is so sweet!
"Aaaaiiiiiieeeee!" I squeal and hop in place at all the squigly feelings inside me.
"Um, yeah!" She says. "If you give me the details, I'll send you that video."
Sorry Crystal. But sweet memories perfectly preserved forever are more valuable to me than your privacy.
"Deal!" I say. "What do you want to know?"
"Who?"
"Firebreather."
"Lizard boy?" She asks. "Does he even, is he even compatible?"
"Not to a normal girl." I say.
"What does that mean?" Vicky asks.
"Ten inches is all I'll say." I answer as I fight back a blush.
Do it for the memories Kitsu! A video of Missy feeding you! One you can use to tease her with!
"Okay, wow." Vicky says wide eyed. "Couldn't be me."
Agreed. Seriously, Crystal is some kind of freak! To not only take that but enjoy it? Unless Fire isn't some monster and she was just exaggerating to make him feel better.
"What else?" She asks. "Come on, how long, what'd they do?"
"Um, about ten to twenty minutes. And I couldn't tell you what they did." I tell her.
I could. I just refuse.
"What? Why? Don't you have like, sonar or something?" She asks.
"No, I just hear things better." I say. "It's like listening to a movie without being able to see any of it."
"Damn." She says and puts her hands to her hips. "Oh well, deals a deal."
She takes her phone back from me and not long after I get a notification.
Looking to my phone I see the video in my messages.
"Thank you!" I say and glomp her in a hug.
"Sure thing." She says. "Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a designer friend I need to introduce to Amy."
I'm too busy going to my phone and reliving my picnic date to care. Or even pay attention.

Carol "Brandish" Dallon POV
.
"Hey, Vicky." I say to get my daughters attention.
"What's up mom?" She asks as she turns from Gully. "Hey Gulls, I'll be right back."
"It's fine." She says. "I'll go talk with Kitsu and Jenny."
Jenny's only here because Gully is here. They've been rooming together at a motel.
Luckily the opening of the New Wave Ferry is on the first of July. Anthony, or Tony as he prefers to be called out of meetings, set us up with a good night crew to help speed up repairs and renovations.
We couldn't use them full time. We already signed a contract with the Dockworkers Association. And for some reason Kitsu absolutely refused to sign off on any pay offs to break said contract. Saying she personally promised Danny and all that.
I decided not to press the issue.
Speaking of.
"What did you and Kitsu talk about?" I ask her.
"Um, what do you mean?" She asks with shifty eyes.
'When did I raise a daughter with such shit ability to hide anything.' I think to myself. 'It's a good thing she's New Wave. Otherwise, she'd never be able to keep a secret identity.'
"Vicky, I saw you." I say. "She was all cagey and flustered, then you showed her something on your phone. You talked. She hugged you. Now she's perfectly fine and happy."
"Oh! That!" She says. "I just saw she was upset and gave her the video of her date that I took."
Looking over to the lovesick girl. I now understand why she's gushing and cooing over her phone.
She really is a romantic. The Endstopper child. And she falls apart over puppies, kittens, and her girlfriend. It's surreal. Like finding out Lung has a collection of Barbie dolls.
"That was sweet of you." I say. "Tell you what. You've been good, and you've stayed out of trouble. Starting tomorrow you're ungrounded."
"Wait really?" She says. "Yes!"
"Does that mean I can go on patrol with Dad again?!" Kitsu shouts.
"If you're going to talk, come here." I say.
In a gust of wind. The excitable ball of fluff is standing next to Vicky.
"What do you mean again?" I ask. "You could always go on patrol with Mark."
"Yeah but, she'd tag along every time." She says and points to Vicky.
"I don't have to patrol with dad anymore." Vicky says.
Kitsu starts grinning. Her tail wagging like crazy causing her to start shaking with it. Before disappearing in another gust of wind.
"Woah!" I hear Mark shout.
"I got my part time sidekick back!" Kitsu shouts from Marks leg that she's wrapped herself around. "Best, day, EVER!"
Well at least she's happy.

"Well Crystal." I say as the girls' head to the car. "I hope you get accepted into college. And do well in whatever you want to do."
"I'm honestly thinking of a degree in criminal psychology." She says.
"Good luck. It's not an easy course." I tell her.
I don't even think she realizes that everyone nowknows what she was doing when she was "Getting ready" before the party. And that Neil saw Firebreather fly out of her window before taking off and circling back around.

Kitsu POV
.
"So, you and Sabah." Vicky says to Amy.
"No." Amy says.
"Oh, come on!" Vicky whines. "You both like girls! What's wrong with her!"
"Vicky!" Dad says. "Are you trying to play matchmaker again?"
"And isn't Sabah like, five years older than Amy?" I add in.
"They don't have to date!" Vicky defends. "They could be friends! First."
"We have nothing in common." Amy says as she points at her. "And if you say we're both lesbians I'll ask Kitsu to move all of your excess body fat to your tits."
"Why would you do that!" She asks, offended and aghast as she moves her arms to cover her chest. "I would look so out of proportion. To say nothing of the back pain!"
"Eh, you can just fly everywhere." I tell her. "Hey! You could change your name to Mega Milk!"
"Pfft! Hahahaha!" Amy starts cackling. "Meh, meh, mega. Haaaa!"
"Just, sittin here. Listen'n to girl talk." Dad says plainly as he sits in the drivers seat. He's clearly trying to mentally check out of the conversation.
"Ooh! What if we gave Dad boobs!" I say.
"What?" Vicky asks in disgust and confusion.
"Yeah! Really put the Flash in Flashbang!" I say.
"Bahahahaha!" Amy starts holding her sides.
"Please don't do that." Dad says. "I mean, don't get me wrong I'm all for a pair to keep to myself. But your mother might not like it."
As he says that. Mom opens the passenger door and gets in. Looks to the red faces Amy currently wheezing, the confused and concerned looking Vicky. And the calmly smiling me.
"Alright, what happened?"
"I'm gonna give Dad boobies!"
Aaaaand Amy is laughing even harder. She might pass out.

Kitsu POV
.
The Ferry's here!
"Is everyone ready?" Mom asks.
We're all dressed up and about to head out. Amy is wearing a box standard white dress she's renting because she couldn't be bothered. Or at least that's what she keeps telling everyone. Truth is she couldn't get Vicky to go dress shopping with her. So she didn't know what to wear and rented one last minute.
I'm wearing my Gardenia Cherrim dress. I know it's meant for the spring. But I'd never get to wear it otherwise! Vicky is actually wearing her new Hero outfit. She's using this as her new costume's debut.
I'm actually the one who designed it! It's just Starlight's outfit. Do I feel bad about plagiarizing fandoms that technically don't exist? No. No I do not.
I walk out in my low heels. Secretly using invisible blocks to steady my movement. Heels suck! You have to find a balance of walking on your tiptoes while also not. And putting just the right amount of weight on your heels to steady yourself. But not so much that you trip or break the heel.
Thankfully mine are low heels.
And my hair is in a wavy sweep. Parted to the side with my flowery hair piece at my ear.
As we get to the front of the house. I see Mom in a dress. A beautiful slim black dress with a slit at the knee on one side.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a dress!?" I whine. "We could've matched again!"
"What about me?" Dad interjects. "You knew I was wearing a tux, we could've matched."
"Yeah, and I'd match literally half the people there." I say with a roll of my eyes. "Why can't men learn to personalize?"
Seriously. You go to a formal event and with the men it's just, tux, tux, tux, oh! That one has a blue tux!
"You look beautiful sweetheart." Mom says as she leans down and kisses my forehead. "Now go and get in the car."
"Kay." I say with a giggle. "She called me beautiful."
"Get in the car goofball."
.
.
-1 Hour Later-
.
.
We're walking around the foyer of the visitors building. There's a lot of people here. Mostly rich types and political figures. Gully is off to the side talking with Firebreather and Crystal. Fire is in a tux and has never looked more uncomfortable. Meanwhile Crystal is in a stunning blue dress that fades into a gorgeous emerald green. The top part being white.
Guess having Parian as your best friend really comes in handy.
Gully is in a pink, non-descript dress. Not much she can do with her proportions. Maybe I can fix it? If it's just her power that deformed her and not an active thing her power does. Then I can easily fix it. I think.
"Kitsu!" I hear to the side. Followed by loud thunking.
Turning around I see Jenny. In all her chromatic glory. She's wearing a long blue dress that matches her hair. She tends to wear clothes that match her body's aesthetic. "Work with what you got and be proud of it." Is what she said.
"Hey Jenny!" I wave.
She makes it to me and slows down. Yeah, Jenny weighs more than five hundred pounds. And has absurd strength as a result. Enough to rival Vicky.
"Oh my gosh! This is finally it!" She says excitedly. "I mean, there's so much going on and so many people in one place! I don't know where to start!"
She's rather sheltered.
"Why don't you start by checking out your room?" I suggest. "Vicky should know where it is."
"Ooo! I'll go do that!" She says and takes off.
She and Vicky get along. Both are fashionista's who gush over boys and painting their nails.
Wait, that's me without the boys. Are me and Vicky alike?
…
Nah! No way!
"Wonder where everyone else is?" I quietly mutter before my eyes are covered.
"Guess who!" She coos.
"Amanda Waller?" I ask.
"What? Who the heck is that?" Missy says as I turn around.
She's in her Vista uniform. Aww! She's being pouty. It's adorable! With those pouty lips and supple cheeks. I just wish I could see her eyes under her visor.
"Literally the first thing that popped into my head." I say. "Okay, that's a lie, it was the second."
A few of the PRT are here. Miss Militia, Triumph, Assault. And the Wards, Missy, obviously, Dennis, and Vergil.
"Well, what was the first?" She asks.
"Kissy Missy~" I say and bring my hands up to cover my mouth with the sides of my smile visible as I give a cutesy wiggle in place.
"Yeah, well." She blushes and looks away. "You, you look good. Is that dress new?"
"Just gonna deflect like that? That's fine." I say. "And to answer your question, no. But it is the first time I've worn it." I give a little twirl to show it off that ends with me putting my hands behind my back. "You like?~" I ask with a teasing grin as she blushes.
"I, I do." She stutters with a blush. "So, um."
"Alright!" The mayor says from the podium. "May I have everyone's attention?"
"Later?" I ask.
She nods and I leave to find Mom and Dad.
After finding them and joining in to listen to the mayors speech. Of which I wholly ignored. We make our way to the ferry proper.
It's a normal ferry. I wanted to do sooooo much more with it and use my creations to give it a sort of Feywild feel. But the marketing team wouldn't let me! The only thing they allowed is the Wispy Willow at the entrance to the foyer! They wanted a water fountain until I showed them a mini of the glowing willow tree. So, there's a tree in the front that glows a soft pink at night. And attracts fireflies. Again, I wanted to do more. But the marketing team didn't want any radical, risky, endeavor, whatchamacallits.
Instead, we came to a compromise. There are pamphlets with illustrations on them of my creations. The Stygian Blue Bells, the Neon Pitchers, The Rainbow Traps, Blue Moss, Bleeding Wisteria, Petunia Bironia, etc. The guests receive a pamphlet at the end and can vote on whether or not they want the additions.
We're all currently on the main deck. The part out front. All of the new New Wave members are here. With the exception of Firebreather and Crystal who are strangely absent. Here's hoping they're not in a bathroom stall playing hide the dragon in a cave.
"You know those heels almost make you as tall as me." I hear from behind me.
I lash my tail out and grab Missy. Pulling her towards me as I turn around and hug her.
"Woah!" She yelps as I glomp her.
"That may be true." I say with a smirk. "But no matter how much taller you get than me. You'll still be my baby."
That gets a reaction.
"You know I don't like it when you call me that." She says in a hushed tone.
"You mean you don't like it when I call you my baby, in public." I correct her.
"You know what I mean." She whines.
I put my head to her shoulder and close my eyes as I nuzzle her. Taking in her subtly sweet scent. Fun fact. I made the Petunia Bironia's to remind me of Missy as much as possible. They're her favorite color. The stem and leaves are as green as her eyes. And they smell like her as well.
At least to me they do.
"Aww, if you get too scared of the cameras. You can always hide behind me." I say as I softly nuzzle her.
"You're evil." She mumbles into my shoulder as she hugs me back. "But I love you all the same."
Why does my heart do flips when she says that?
"I love you too." I say and bring my head back to kiss her cheek.
"And now, the maiden voyage of The New Wave!" The speaker announces.
*Hhrrrrrrmmmm*
Thank, GOD. For my hearing aids. Even with them that kinda hurt.
"Come on, the banquette hall has sushi!" Missy says and drags me by my hand.
"Hold up!" I say as she drags me along. "Heels!"
.
.
"Say cheese!" The photographer says.
"If flash is on I'll throw you off the boat!" I say in a mocking tone of the cheese line.
"Um, give me, just a second." He says awkwardly as he checks his camera.
We're doing photo's on the boat right now. And people really want photos of me and Vista.
So we're currently hugging. With her resting her head on mine.
"Aaaaand, perfect!" He says as he gets up. "Thank you!"
"Not a problem!" I say.
"Why do you have to be so popular?" Missy complains.
"Why do you have to look so cute next to me?" I counter.
"It's just you." She says with a smile.
"Hey girls." Dad says as he walks over. "You having fun?"
"Eh, for the most part." I answer honestly. "Too many people for my tastes."
"Same." Missy says under her breath.
"Well, if privacy is what you want, you're out of luck." Dad says with an apologetic smile. "This whole thing is to show off New Wave. Can't do that if the cutest addition to New Wave isn't out and about."
He says that last part as he leans down and squishes my cheeks together.
"Aww, yew fink I'm cewt?" I say through squished lips. "Yewr mwaking me bwush!"
"Hey!" Missy shouts as she grabs me. "Don't hog her! She's mine!"
"Legally speaking she's Carol's. And since we're married with shared assets. She's mine." He says with his trademarked smirk and reaches for me.
Heh, tradeMarked.
"I'm having several people fight over me." I say as Missy tries to hide me from Dad. "This is the life!"
As I say that. A strong gust of cold wind runs over the deck. Causing several shouts of surprise and even making Missy shiver.
"W-what was that?" Missy asks through a shiver.
"Merchants!" Someone shouts. "On the water!"
Oh, come on!

Where Crystal and Firebreather went
.
.
Crystal "Laserdream" Pelham POV
.
"Fuuuuck~" I moan as Fire finishes inside me. Riding out the high of my own climax from moments before.
We found a bathroom stall to sneak away and have some, private time.
"You are so hot." Fire says.
His pillow talk could use some work. As well as his thrust. But god, DAMN! Is he a godsend.
"And you, are a sex god." I pant out as I feel him throbbing inside me.
We're going to be stuck like this for a little bit. Fire's not, let's just say he's, anatomically accurate. And has both a pointed heart shaped bulb at the top. And a bulb at the bottom. The headof which swells when he finishes.
Nearly choked me out at my graduation party. Which, while it would've been hot as all hell. Would've been awkward as allhellto explain.
Oh! And it's ribbed! Like my toys! Hell, I might just be getting rid of my collection if I can keep Fire around. No need for cold silicon when I get the real deal.
He's an adorkable himbo. Jacked. And is packing serious pipe!
I think I'm in love.
"You don't think anyone noticed we're gone, do you?" Fire asks.
"Nah, hey, does it feel a little cold to you?" I ask as I hug myself closer to his warm body.
"No, not really." He says with a shrug.
"Hmm, probably nothing." I shrug, in about a minute or two I feel him start to shrink. "So, round two?"
I'm making this man my perfect partner. And getting his stamina up is priority one right now. His pillow talk next. And after that I can work on getting him more open minded. Convincing him to sneak away to a bathroom stall was hard enough.
I need to work my way up to midair sex!

A/N
In case it wasn't obvious. Kitsu has attachment issues.
Oh, and Crystal just has issues in general.
Her personality is pretty bare boned in the books. Hell, the wiki has a single line for her personality.
"Did not keep her room clean at all."
That's it! Nothing else.
So I'm basing her personality on a friend of mine. The one that scarred me for life with the knowledge of bad dragon.
If you're reading this P, you're a freak.
.
The reason Missy and Kitsu's relationship works so well is one simple thing. Communication. They're open and not afraid to tell the other what they're comfortable with. Kitsu doesn't like having her fur active, so Missy doesn't press the issue. Missy doesn't like being in the public eye, so Kitsu sets up events for them outside of the public eye. Things like that.

QUESTIONS!
.
FOR NEWB!
Grimnosh: Just what fandoms have you read/know of and enjoyed? And which do you hate?
Newb: I, literally cannot name them all. I've read the original Witcher books! All of Maximum Ride (The movie was shit, best part about it was when Gazzy blew up the house), Daniel X, Sonic, Pokémon, Overlord, Konosuba, Grimm, RWBY, MHA, Ben 10, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Steven Universe, Invincible, Bleach, DBZ, Dog Days is a guilty pleasure of mine, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Fullmetal Alchemist, Alien, Tim Burton films, I really liked the Gegor the Overlander books, and just about everything in between!
That's all just off the top of my head.
There aren't any I can think of that I hate. Um, yeah, I spent three days on this and can't think of anything.
Oh! One just came to mind literally an hour before posting this!
I, HATE! Ready player one.
I just, I can't even. Go watch Fact Fiend's episode on Ready Player One on Youtube. They sum up my feelings perfectly.
.
FOR [Conduit]!
.
FOR KITSU!
Grimnosh: Have you considered using your biokinesis to give yourself glowing fur for a moonlit date with Missy? And as you like pokemon so much which eeveelutions do you like the most?
Kitsu: It's in the plans! A moonlit date on top of the ferry! Over the ocean with nothing but us.
And my favorite Eeveelution (Aside from the OG 133) is Glaceon!
Casanova5424: to go along with some of the others, what special versions of fruits/plants would you recreate as pretty much the real thing?
Kitsu: I'unno. Coffee beans that taste like latte's are high on my list. Still working on spicy watermelons. And if I can get my hands on a cow. I will prove everyone wrong! Chocolate milk will come from brown cows! Mark my words nature!
Casanova5424: how would you feel about a biotinkered giant christmas tree you had to use missy's power just to decorate? its probably end up being a citywide event/sight to some extent.
Kitsu: We are so doing that!
Missy: We are so not! We'd need to get permits from board of planning, permission from the city council, it'd have to whole event scheduling. Not to mention we'd need to-
Kitsu: I'll turn on my fur. And might let you touch my butt.
Missy: I'm sure the Mayor and city council will agree. It'd be great for tourism. If we put in the requests now we can get permits by September at the latest. And I have no doubt Pigot will agree. After all, it'd be a great publicity stunt.
.
Ask a random character!
Over the next few chapters I'm going to roll a D20. With each number correlating to a character.
So, for one time only! Ask….
Oh god why. I wish I could reroll. Oh well, might as well get it out of the way.
FOR CRYSTAL PELHAM!
Crystal: Sup awesome dudes and dudettes! And all the other people who aren't my fans, otherwise formally known as losers. Whatcha wanna know?
