Prologue: Jaina Senses

It has been a grueling time for the New Republic these last 5 years after the threats and war with the Yuuzhan Vong escalated leading to military forces and even Luke's new Jedi Order to take part of it. One person who played both roles was the galaxy's daughter, the famed Jaina Solo known not only in name but also in skill and achievements after leading one of critical attacks earning her the position of liutenant colonel.

The fallout from the war had been brutal for the Skywalker-Solo family, they have lost a lot of allies leaving them understaffed. Even after victory, Jaina had to take an extra role serving as a diplomat and keeping strong ties with inner rim planets to avoid any more conflicts leaving Jaina to be very exhausted. Assisting her in the Janako system was her partner Jagged Fel, who was growing quite concerned about Jaina's condition. "Come on Jaina, just tell me what's bothering you."

"Nothing I'm fine." Jaina replied in annoyance of Jagged's concern.

"I've known you long enough to know when something's wrong. I won't tell your mother." Jagged assured her as he held her in his arms.

"Well, um it has been quite hard to keep up with all these duties for some time now. After the war, I thought we could finally get our rest but no... immediately after, its just work all over again. I don't mind maintaining peace, its my job as a jedi but I can't handle carrying the work of 10 people on my own" Jaina explained.

"Sounds like you need a break, how about I take you to the springs of Naboo. Easen up a bit? Have a little alone time?" Jagged replied with a smirk as he held Jaina's resting cheek in his hand.

"That sounds... lovely. But I don't think its just my body that needs fixing, I need to find peace in my mind and soul too. I think I just need some time to strengthen my bond to the force again." Jaina replied as Jagged chuckled and lost his smile, Jaina reminded him "But don't worry, when I get better. I owe you one hot tub bath in Naboo."

"We have a deal." Jagged replied. "I'll cover for you until you get back."

Jaina flew to the planet of Ahch-To where Luke had been relocating the Jedi Order after the war. Luke had sensed her arrival and prepared for her "Greetings Jaina, I'm surprised to see you here. I thought you and your brother were out helping your mother out with New Republic relations."

"Heh, I asked for a quick break."

"Well how may I be of service to you young one?" Luke asked.

"Lately, I have been feeling quite drained from everything's that happened. I mean I'm just 20 years old and spent the last 5 years being part of a war." Jaina explained. "I think I need to just strengthen my bond with the force. Is there anything you can teach me?"

"I'm afraid not, I have taught you everything I know. Hmmmm, but I suppose you should try meditating and find your center. Listen to the force and let it guide you to where you should be."

Jaina heeded Luke's advice and meditated on a nearby cliff trying to allow the energy to flow through her. She closed her eyes and her mind wandered as a groggy voice whispered. "Hi chuba du naga Solo..." Opening her eyes in shock, Jaina felt her heart skip a beat and feel an urge to visit a place.

"Did you find what you were looking for Jaina?" Luke asked.

"I... think? I heard a weird voice and I can feel myself being pulled somewhere." Jaina replied as she greeted her uncle goodbye and fly off into space. She continued to fly into Outer Rim space and suddenly received a transmission from her mother.

"Jaina! Where have you been? Did you really think your boyfriend can stall for you that long." Leia scolded.

"I.. I'm sorry mom. I just had to visit Uncle Luke for something."

"Hmph, I guess I can overlook that, but I want you back here now. We have no business messing with Outer Rim territories, especially with Mid and Inner rim systems still in danger." Leia ordered.

"I can't believe you're still tracking me mom. I'm a grown woman now, and I need my own life." Jaina ranted as she continued. "I just need to do this quick run before I get back."

"Jaina wai-" Before Leia could even respond, Jaina turned of her signals and radar to ensure that Leia wouldn't track her anymore. She felt herself get closer to the location and in the distance saw the sandy planet of Tatooine.

"Tatooine? I went to all that trouble just for this stupid rock, what could be down here that will help me?" Jaina sighed but as she turned her ship around, she couldn't bring herself to zoom off needing a sense of closure decided to land in the planet. "Gahh, I hope this is worth it!" she said.
