A/N
Y'all, I'm so sorry that it took me so long to update this. And the fact is this isn't even as long as it normally would be. I was gonna post ages ago, but then COVID hit me, and I fell so far behind on school work, and then I just lost motivation. If this chapter isn't as good as the others, then I'm so sorry, but I was just trying to push and get it out and written. I promise, I'll try harder to get another, longer chapter out. Hopefully in good time. Anyway, enough from me, enjoy!

Monty was right. It had taken forever to get the skittish girl calmed down enough to actually tell her what had happened. When the alligator had walked over to her, she stumbled to hide behind him, snatching the leather jacket he held out to her. Sun watched in curiosity as the girl hid herself behind her self-appointed guardian. Even when she'd just met him, she already trusted Monty enough to believe him to protect her.
The teens bicolored eyes jumped around the disaster of a Daycare as she got dressed, making sure to keep the sun animatronic in her line of sight. She wrinkled her nose at the tight fitting shirt, showing her very apparent curves and muscle definition. She'd never been too comfortable with her body. Not after everything that happened with her… family. Shaking her head slightly, she pulls on the slightly too big jeans and tugs the belt tighter, the chains laying snugly against her thigh. She puts on the work boots and quickly ties them, not liking letting the sun out of her vision.
As she stood, she looked herself over in the shiny metal of her self-appointed protector. She looked like hell warmed over. There were multiple bruises molting her once dark skin. Her eyes were dull, the bags under them more pronounced than what was normal. There was still dirt dusting her frame, and dried blood here and there. Her hair was probably the worst though. Her auburn hair was matted with dried blood, tangled against the base of her neck. The teen let out a disgruntled groan and tried to force the tangles apart.
Sighing, she realized that those knots probably wouldn't come out by brushing it. She huffs and stalks to the front of the gator. She'd deal with it when she could. Right now she had to figure out why the gator had been so aggressive earlier. And where her brother was.
"Alright. I wanna know exactly what it was going through that head o' yours and what ya remember before I threw us over the ledge." The girl stated. Monty and Sun had come closer to her, slightly surrounding the skittish girl.
"Well, friend. I just came into the picture, so I don't know what happened. Though, I would like to know why you threw yourself over the ledge of a three story deck." The sun states. Two toned eyes snap to look at the animatronic.
"I did that because this brute," she gestures to the alligator with her thumb, "Was attacking my lil brother with the other animatronics. And I wanna know why."
As she finished her sentence, the teen glances at the gator in question and watches as his magenta eyes dim a little, most likely trying to search his memory files to find the incident.
"I don't know, sheila. The last thing I remember is patching you up in my golf course, then it goes black. I came back fully when I felt ya crash into my frame when you threw us offa the edge. Then I brought you here to be treated and you know the rest." Monty relies, a clawed hand coming to rub his chin in thought.
Raina nods along and takes on the same position the alligator is in. "So, what I'm thinking is that someone might've messed with your programming at some point in the night, probably just after the Pizza Plex closed. When we were falling, there was a hatch open on the back of your head." As she says this, Raina walks to the back of the gator and huffs. She was right.
She leans in slightly closer to the behemoth and inspects the panel, her mechanic side coming out. There was a black and red chip in the back of his head, smashed to bits, but some of it was clearly missing. Her eyes narrow as she takes in the chip that wasn't supposed to be there.
She lent over the gator's shoulder, hanging slightly on his back. "Was there anyone who worked on you today? Maybe someone who usually doesn't?" She watches as the gator thinks back, trying his hardest to find an answer to her question.
"The only one who came in to work on me was Vanessa, our night time security guard. But she doesn't know how to program us. Only our specialized mechanics know how." Raina raised a thin eyebrow at that.
"Not to burst your bubble or anything, but I learned about y'all pretty easily. Before we met I'd snagged a manual for you actually, Monty. It's not that hard to figure out how to open your hatch, program a microchip, and completely redo your algorithm. I mean, sure, they'll have to know something about robotics and maybe engineering, but it isn't too difficult." The teen states.
Monty's optics snap wide at the way the teen presents possible evidence of tampering. The alligator glances at the sun-like animatronic close to him and they seem to have the same thought. If he could be so easily reprogrammed, is that what happened to the others? He might not've known much, but what he did know was that the human security guard had no possibility of reprogramming them, she didn't know how.
"Wait. How on earth did ya manage to snag one of my manuals? They're only given to employees, and no offense to ya, but ya don't look like no employee to me, mate." Monty states, optics locking onto the teens dual colored eyes.
Raina gives the bot a sheepish smile and just rubbed the back of her neck. Monty shakes his head, amusement flashing across his faceplates. Sun watches the pair and makes some mental notes to possibly ask Freddy what was up with his scaled friend. And maybe why the teen was so jumpy.
"Well, friend. What do we do from here?" Sunny asks, glancing at the kid still somewhat behind the large animatronic. Suddenly, the girl's dual colored eyes narrow, her brows falling into a determined scowl. She stood to her full height (still meger compared to the two robots, but Monty had to give the kid credit) and looked towards the door to the daycare.
"We're going after my brother, and if we stop this madness, that's just an added bonus. And hopefully get y'all's friends back as well. Maybe bash in a few skulls." Raina stated, looking behind her as she started to walk, the two large animatronics quickly following in her footsteps.
"Are ya sure that's such a smart idea, kid? You're still hurt, not to mention, you jumped off a balcony, twice. I don't think that's something ya can just walk away from." Monty says, trying to catch the girl.
Raina wrenches her arm from the gator's grasp, growling at him. "I'm getting my brother back. Whether you help me or not is none of my concern. Either way, some heads might roll." She snarls.
On her way out, she grabs a baseball-like pole and brings it with her, planting it on her shoulder, a resolved look on her face. Monty and Sunny lock optics and Sun quickly nods towards the swiftly leaving girl. No matter what happened, it was their job to protect the teen, even if she didn't want it. And to protect her, meant protecting the boy she was after.
Once again, thank y'all so much for being patient with me, I hope y'all enjoyed this chapter. See ya on the flip side... I really need a saying...
