Howdy! Welcome to another chapter of Monty's Handler. I hope y'all are enjoying this lil fic of mine so far, even with me not really having a proper schedule for updates. I have been trying, and I've so far managed to post a chapter for two different fics I'm working on currently, which is this one (obviously) and another called Living Ink Lies, which is a Bendy and the Ink Machine fic. If you wanna check that out, you're more than welcome to, and I'd be extremely happy to get more people on board with the entire thing so I don't lose motivation and just decide to drop it lol. Anyway, enough from me, onto the newest chapter. :)
Monty had said that Roxy was almost always at her raceway, so that's where the group had gone to look first. The alligator-based animatronic had been right. Raina had tried to get Freddy and Gregory to go back to the bear's green room, but neither the animatronic nor the boy were having it.
When the group got to the raceway, it was filled to the brim with different sorts of construction, although it looked like most of it was managed by the security bots that the Pizza Plex employed. Looking around, the girl couldn't see the wolf right away, but she knew she was there. The unmistakable howl being the key to finding the animatronic.
It took them a while, but once they found the she wolf, Raina couldn't help the enraged feeling that seemed to make her blood boil. Somehow, the white rabbit had managed to get to the raceway long before they did, although the rabbit suit was more banged up than it had been beforehand.
The bunny hadn't seen the group yet, so Raina took the chance to rush the others behind a wall. The only way to get the white rabbit away from the wolf was to make a distraction, but unfortunately for the group, only the humans could actually see the rabbit.
Peeking out from behind the wall, Raina glances about the raceway, looking for anything that could give them the heads up they needed. Nothing about the racetrack seemed viable for getting the she-wolf out of the rabbit's clutches. The only thing that Raina had at that point that would help Roxy was the bat she carried. Which would require her to be insanely close to the rabbit and wolf. And from what she could tell, the wolf was very much dangerous, especially when she wasn't the most stable, even without the weird-ass mind control.
Humming, the teen sat back, her fist resting against her chin. Gregory sat next to her, messing with a watch that was on his wrist. The watch had a blue band with Freddy-like markings on the face of it. She'd heard of these little gadgets, they were given to parents so they could keep an eye on their kid while they were with an animatronic. And, if she had to guess, Raina would put her nonexistent money on the fact that the watch could probably connect to its designated performer so the animatronic could relay the message the parent sent through the watch itself.
Something seemed to click in her head.
"Freddy. Do all of you guys have these watches?" She asked the bear.
"But, of course. We're all designed to hold a few within our hatches in case a parent requests one, although they're very expensive, so most don't. Why do you ask?"
"And they can communicate with the accompanying animatronic?" The bear nodded. "Good. Because I'm planning on using one of those fazwatches to make it to where y'all can see the rabbit. There's no way for us to get close enough to Roxy for me to take the chip out without being seen by the bunny. If I can make it to where I can communicate with one, or hopefully all, of y'all, then I might be able to tell you where she is, so you can distract her and I can go for Roxy."
Freddy considered the teen for a bit, looking out over the wall to watch the wolf and rabbit. Whatever he saw must have convinced him because when he next turned back to the group, his blue eyes were hard, his face set in grim determination.
"While I don't like the idea of you dealing with Roxy while she's like this, I do agree with us being the ones to handle the rabbit instead."
With confirmation from the bear, Raina was handed a Fazwatch from Monty, the blue band made green and the watch face being patterned after the alligator. She liked it much better than the Freddy-themed one, but she wouldn't let Monty know that. Strapping the watch to her wrist, she couldn't help but think about the fact that most of what she was wearing was Monty-themed, and for some reason, she couldn't find it in herself to truly care about it.
Raina told the other animatronics the plan and had Monty follow her down the stairs that led to the raceway. Gregory and the Moon would stay up top and would be the ones to usher Roxy out of her racetrack when the time came. Freddy and Chica would be the ones to actually deal with holding Roxy down while Raina went for the chip in the back of her head. Monty would be the one distracting the white rabbit, with Raina pointing out where the rabbit actually was so the bass player could hit them.
After some time, the animatronics had managed their given tasks, the bear and chicken holding down a struggling Roxy. Monty stood off to the side, huffing slightly, his claws locked with the hands of th white rabbit.
Raina was quick to get to Roxy and take the chip out of the wolf's mainframe. The teen looked over and swore, watching as Monty was pushed to his knees by the white rabbit.
The Gator wouldn't be able to handle the abuse for much longer. Honestly, Raina was getting tired of what she was about to do. It was one thing to attack the rabbit once to protect her brother, but it was a whole other thing to do it multiple times in the same night.
Groaning, the teen stood up from her crouched position over Roxy, taking a minute to just breathe. With one last breath, Raina ran at the rabbit, practically volting herself over Monty using his shoulders for a momentum boost. Yelling, Raina threw herself onto the rabbit, throwing the both of them to the ground.
Without Raina's help, Monty couldn't see the damned rabbit. He let out a frustrated snarl, his tail thrashing violently.
"Monty!" Raina yelled, struggling with the rabbit. "Throw me my bat!"
For a minute, the gator had to search for the bat, listening as Raina continued to lose ground to the white rabbit, who had managed to get back up. When the animatronic turned back around, something seemed to flash in his eyes, before a glimmer appeared in front of him. He didn't question it. If the Creators were giving him a chance to actually help his partner with this so-called invisible threat, he'd take whatever it was he got.
Growling, the animatronic ran for the glimmer, throwing the bat to Raina in the process. Oh, how he so wanted to be the one to hit the damned rabbit, but he had a feeling that whoever was under the mask of the rabbit suit wasn't exactly what would be classified as an animatronic.
Instead, the gator contented himself with grappling with the glimmering apparition, keeping it busy to buy time for Raina to do what Raina did best. Knock the ever loving shit outta someone. It'd be ironic if that wasn't how she dealt with things considering how they met. Twice.
For a second, it almost seemed as though the rabbit paused, but it was gone before Monty's processors could take it in. He heard a shout behind him and swung the rabbit to where their back was to the rushing teen. A crack resounded around the racetrack as the bat met the back of the skull of the rabbit.
The rabbit flopped to the ground as soon as Monty let go of them. Raina seemed to consider something as she stood next to her animatronic. Something about the rabbit was…off, but the teen couldn't figure out just what it was. Whatever it was, it was giving her uncanny valley feelings. Probably not the best feeling to have when you're surrounded by animatronics that can easily resemble humans if they had the right shell.
Raina didn't exactly know what to do with the rabbit, and she highly doubted the police would be of any help. They'd rather arrest her for her own dark past than take in a murderer. Although, she supposed she was a murderer they could take in if she called them. But, she couldn't do that to Gregory, not after everything the boy had already been through in the span of a night.
So, she did the only thing that came to mind. Raina called over the other animatronics, saying a quick hello to a very confused Roxy and requesting the bear and gator lift the rabbit and they take it back to the Daycare. It was the only place Raina could think of that might have something to tie the rabbit up with. Plus, the extra help from two animatronics that could sneak around wouldn't hurt.
Although, she was loath to go back to the Sun and ask for his help. But, even Raina knew when she was beaten at something. She needed the help from the Sun in order to figure out this entire mystery and to also keep Gregory safe from anything like this happening again.
