A/N
Fun fact; I had this sitting in my docs for months, I just fucking forgot about it. My bad. Anyway, I'm working on getting ten up as well, I think it's almost ready, and I'm trying to find somewhere to end this fic. I'm getting close to finishing most of my fics, actually, but a lot of them will probably have sequels. Anyway, enjoy the chapter, and sorry about the unnecessary wait :)
Nine
Raina had been right in her assumption that the Daycare Attendant would have something to tie the rabbit up with. Unfortunately, it was just thin twine, not something incredibly durable, but it was their best bet for now. Once the twine was securely tied around the white rabbit, Raina got to explaining the situation to Roxanne, letting the wolf in on everything that her makeshift group had been part of.
To say that Roxy was angry would be an understatement. Raina could say in confidence that she'd never seen anybody so rightfully pissed. Freddy and Chica had to be the ones to calm the she-wolf down, Monty and Raina too occupied with coming up with a plan for the currently unconscious pseudo-murderer.
"I say we club 'em in the head, let 'em suffer like they made the rest of us." Monty huffed, still annoyed with the entire situation.
"As much as I would love to do that, Monty, I have a feeling that whoever they are, they're human. And, could still be of use to us, yet. If we wanna fix this issue for certain, we need to go to the source. Cut off the head of a snake, and it won't be able to move." Raina states, holding a hand up to her chin in thought.
Raina looked over to Gregory, the boy sitting with Freddy and Chica, watching as Roxanne paced angrily around the daycare. He was battered and bruised, and probably beyond traumatized, but he didn't seem to be in too bad of health. If anything, sitting with the bear and hen seemed to relax him, his small body slumped against the main vocalist.
Circling around the rabbit suit, Raina took in every detail, the tearing sewn back together by unskilled hands, the stains and dirt, the patches of random fabrics. Everything about the suit screamed that it wasn't actually meant for whoever was wearing it.
Shrugging, Raina kneeled down slightly, taking the mask of the suit off. Under the rabbit suit was an adult woman, her blonde hair slightly messed up from the suit's mask. Her face had some scratches and bruises, a couple still bleeding, and Raina could see a white uniform shirt just under the collar of the rabbit suit. She could also see a hint of blood on the woman's neck, staining the white button down.
Looking closer, Raina couldn't help the small cuss that left her mouth. The side of her neck was covered in blood, a trail of it leading back to her left ear. Leaning in for a better look, Raina's eyes spotted the sickly purple glow of something that definitely shouldn't have been in the woman's ear.
It was another microchip, just like what the animatronics had in their heads, only this one was almost entirely embedded into the woman's skin. And a chip like that would do much more damage to a human than it would to an animatronic.
Monty had walked closer to his charge after hearing the almost unnoticeable slip of the tongue. His red eyes met her own dual toned ones before he looked to where she had been. The alligator's voice box let out a shock of static, his programming preventing him from outright cussing like the human had.
"Considering I had that thing stuck in my own head, that is twisted." Monty stated, crossing his arms over his chest.
"It's fucking sick. Not to mention it was clearly done to her by force. There's no way she did that shitty of a job, even if she did have reason for sticking a literal piece of technology into her skull."
There wasn't much their group could do, none of them were even remotely trained to deal with something like this. Nobody really thought to give any of the animatronics the programming to perform what was basically surgery. Why would they? The animatronics had basic first aid programming, but that was only in case the EMTs or parents of a kid didn't get to their child in time. This was beyond any of them. But they couldn't just leave the chip there. Seeing what the damned thing had done to the animatronics, there was no telling what it would do to a human.
And no telling what would happen if they tried to remove it without the proper equipment. But there was nothing else they could do. It was either let the white rabbit carry on terrorizing and killing children, or try their best to remove the chip, without accidentally harming the blonde woman.
"Freddy and Chica, take Gregory to the play area, would you? Monty, Roxy, Sun, I'm gonna need y'all with me."
Gregory tried to put up a fight, but a look from Raina had him swallowing the argument. He looked over his shoulder as Raina sent Sun on an errand to get her a couple of supplies, and suddenly a pit formed in his stomach. The older teen was taking it upon herself to try and fix the woman in the rabbit suit.
Raina was more than willing to admit that she had absolutely no clue what the hell she was doing, and the looks from the bear, gator, and sun-based animatronics said that they knew it too. What else could she do? She was aware of what happened to the animatronics with the computer chip when it hadn't been placed into their tech properly, but from what she'd seen of the chip that the woman had, it was so much worse.
The teen took the rubber gloves from the sun animatronic and pulled them up over her hands, careful not to touch anything else that wasn't 100% sanitized. No need in doing more damage to the unfortunate woman. Raina took her time studying the way the chip had been inserted into the lady's ear, noting how volatile purple veins seemed to spread from the technology.
Taking the mini tweezers from Monty, Raina dug into the blonde's ear, trying not to wince at the squishing sound that was made everytime she dug into the flesh. More blood was trickling from the woman's ear, dried flakes of it landing softly on Raina's hands. The damned chip was holding onto whatever it had attached to, making the girl growl slightly.
Finally, after what seemed like hours, but was really only a few tense minutes, the chip flew from the lady's ear, slipping from the tweezers Raina held and landing on the carpet on the outside of her legs.
"Ugh," Raina groaned, slamming the tweezers onto the chip, watching as it broke into pieces.
Blood had splattered onto the clothes Raina had borrowed, slowly drying as the teen went about cleaning the area where the chip had been implanted. Raina was careful in bandaging the ear, putting a cotton bud and pad into the inside of the ear before wrapping bandages around the woman's head. Once she was done with the lady, Raina sent Sun to try and find different clothes for herself.
The Sun animatronic came back a couple minutes later with some shirts and a pair of pants from the Day Care's Lost and Found. The only options that actually fit her was a green Monty Golf muscle shirt and a pair of dark wash jeans. She was quick to retie her black work boots before standing and dusting her hands off.
Raina called for Freddy, Chica, and Gregory to come back before she had the bear lay the woman down on a cot that the Day Care attendant kept in the back room. There was nothing left for the ragtag group to do except wait for the woman to wake up, and hopefully get some answers.
