Tom glanced at his wife as she sat next to him on the Delta Flyer. A light from the panel made B'Elanna ring glow. They have been married for nine years and have three kids. Tom was hoping to this mission done to get home to have dinner with the children. Miral was their oldest at eight, then three years later they had Dexter, who was five, then two years later Gabby came along. Tom knew that they were happy.
"All done," B'Elanna looked at him.
"Okay," Tom glanced at a clock. They still had three hours before Voyager came to pick them up. Tom glanced at his wife and wondered when the last time they had a moment to themselves. They were either working or spending time with their three children. "Well, we have three hours until Voyager comes for us," Tom smiled. "What do we do for the next three hours?"
B'Elanna raised an eyebrow, she knew what he meant. "What do you have in mind?"
"This," Tom leaned over and kissed her.
"B'Elanna broke the kiss. "Really, Tom," She laughed.
"Yes, when was the last time we had a moment to ourselves," Tom placed a hand on her thigh and moved it up her leg to her hip. B'Elanna watched his hand as it made its way up to her side. His hand grazed her breast. B'Elanna let out a hiss. Tom leaned over and kissed her. B'Elanna wrapped her arms around his neck. Tom knew that he had her.
"Commander Paris, Commander Torres," Janeway's voice broke through Tom's sleep. He sat up and looked around to see B'Elanna next to him, naked. He got up and dressed.
"Yes, Captain, we are here," Tom glanced over to see B'Elanna getting dressed.
"Bring the shuttle in and meet me in my ready room," Janeway said.
"Yes, captain," Tom traded a look with B'Elanna before making his way to the top of the shuttle.
They got the Flyer in the shuttle bay. Tom and B'Elanna started for the trubo lift. They made their way around some kids making their way somewhere. Tom and B'Elanna didn't see any familiar heads of the children. They entered the lift.
B'Elanna hit Tom in the stomach. "We shouldn't have sex in the Flyer. She knows."
Tom smiled. "Last time I checked we are married with three children. She might realize that we needed a moment."
The lift doors opened, and they stepped out and headed for the ready room. They entered to find Janeway sitting on her couch reading a PADD.
"Did everything go okay?" Janeway asked without looking up from her PADD.
"Yes," B'Elanna mumbled.
"Good," Janeway said. Tom and B'Elanna traded a look, waiting for Janeway to say more, but she didn't. They thought that she might say something about the mission. Tom shrugged it off and headed for the door when Janeway said something. "I hope you enjoyed your time alone."
Tom and B'Elanna traded another look. "We did," B'Elanna said.
Janeway nodded and Tom and B'Elanna left the ready room. Tom was ready to head for the bridge when B'Elanna hissed. "She knew."
"It's fine," Tom leaned down and kissed her.
B'Elanna sighed. "Who is picking up the kids later?"
Tom went from husband to father. "I can. I should be done by that time," B'Elanna headed for the lift. Tom watched her get on. He headed for the bridge.
Tom stood outside the school rooms, waiting for school to end. He saw Harry waiting for his children. Harry had a set of twin girls and a newborn son. It had been a while since he saw him. Tom made his way over to him. "Hey," Tm said to Harry. "How is the baby?"
A smile grew on Harry's face. "He is doing good. Growing like a weed."
Tom nodded and was ready to say something when one of the school doors opened. It was the young ones from two to four. Tom saw Gabby came out with one of her teachers. Tom held out his arms and Gabby came to his running into them.
"Daddy," She yelled. Tom picked her up and saw the teacher making her way to them.
"Hello," Tom sighed. He knew that Gabby did something in her class.
"Gabby decided to hit someone to get a toy," The teacher said. "Again."
Tom looked at his youngest daughter. Gabby has been having trouble hitting people. "My wife and I will talk to her," Tom told the teacher.
"If this continues, she will not be welcome here anymore," The teacher frowned. She didn't like telling Tom the news.
Tom nodded and gave Gabby a look. She buried her head in his neck. The teacher went back to the classroom. Tom was ready to say something when one of the school doors opened and Miral came out. She saw him, she made her way over to them and handed Tom her PADD. Tom looked around for his son and didn't see his son, Dexter, anywhere. He should have can out with Miral. He grabbed Miral's hand and went to get Dexter.
"Dexter," The teacher said when he saw Tom. "I think your dad is here."
Dexter looked up at his dad with Tom's blue eyes. He smiled before running to his dad. Tom nodded to the teacher before leaving. Tom led the children to the turbo lift and herded them before telling the computer what deck they needed. The kids told him all about their day. He had to keep it all straight as they made it to their quarters. Miral punched in the code, and they piled into the living area.
The kids ran to their rooms. Tom looked at Miral's PADD to see if she had homework. He saw that she had some math homework. He moaned, he could leave it for B'Elanna to help her, but he was her father.
"Miral," Tom called his daughter.
Miral came out of her room she shared with her sister. "Yeah, Daddy," She smiled.
"Sit down," Tom pointed to the table. "We need to do your homework."
Miral didn't lose her smile. Tom didn't like it one bit. "Can I wait until Mommy gets home?"
"Why?" Tom lifted one eyebrow.
"Mommy is better at math then you." Miral smile widened. She thought that she was safe.
Tom sighed. "How about we work on it and when Mommy gets home, she can check it."
Miral nodded and sat down at the table. Tom took a seat next to her and pulled up the math homework. "Work on these problems while I go and check on your brother and sister," Tom told her what problems to work on before getting up and checking on the other children.
"Tom, I am grabbing dinner from the mess hall and should be home after that," B'Elanna said over the comms after Tom checked on the children and saw that Miral had finished her homework. The kids were sitting on the couch watching a movie on the TV that B'Elanna made for him.
"Okay, see you soon," Tom said back. Tom turned to the kids. "Dinner will be here soon. Time to set the table."
The children stood up and headed for the sideboard where the dishes were. Tom watched the children set the table. B'Elanna came in ten minutes later with dinner. She placed dinner on the table while she hugged and kissed the children. Tom started to place the boxes on the table.
When everyone had started having children. It was hard to bring kids to the mess hall. So Neelix decided to make packs of food for families to take back to their quarters.
After the kids hugged their mother, everyone sat down for dinner, The kids told B'Elanna all about their day and Miral made a point of B'Elanna to check her homework after dinner. The meal passed without any incidents. Tom or B'Elanna weren't called away or the children didn't throw tantrums.
After dinner, B'Elanna checked Miral's homework while Tom helped the others clean up after dinner. After they were done with their duties, the family sat on the couch to watch a movie. After the movie, it was time for bed. B'Elanna herded the kids into their bathroom. Once they were bathed and each child went into their rooms. Tom was there with their pajamas. They put the kids to bed.
Once the kids were in bed, Tom and B'Elanna headed for their room. B'Elanna went to the bathroom while Tom changed into his pajamas. He headed for the seating area before the window and took a seat. He picked up a PADD on the table in front of him. B'Elanna soon joins him on the couch and picked up her own PADD.
Tom was done with his PADD and put it down on the table. He looked over B'Elanna's shoulder to see what she was reading. He could tell that it was a Klingon romance novel. Tom kissed the back of her neck. B'Elanna leaned back to give Tom better access. She moaned. Tom reached over to her and took out the PADD out of her hand and placed it on the table.
"We can't," B'Elanna sighed.
"Why?" Tom kissed down her neck to the line of the top of her top.
"Your youngest will be here soon," B'Elanna sighed because she would really like to be with her husband.
The doors opened to their room and Gabby stepped in. "Mommy, Daddy," She looked around the room and found them on the couch.
"Yes, Gabby?" B'Elanna asked.
"I had a bad a dream," Gabby had a stuff animal under her arm. "Can I sleep with you?"
B'Elanna nodded. Tom and B'Elanna watched as Gabby climbed into the middle of their bed. B'Elanna looks from the bed to Tom. "She is going to have to sleep in her own bed at some point."
Tom nodded. "I know. I would like to spend time with my wife." He kissed her. "We are going to have to talk to her," B'Elanna nodded, agreeing with Tom. "Also, we are going to have to talk to her about hitting others."
B'Elanna glanced at the bed again. "She did it again."
Tom nodded. "If she doesn't stop, she is going to have to leave day care."
B'Elanna sighed. "What are we going to do about her?"
"First talk to her and next time we take her out and she has to spend the day with either one of us," Tom said.
"I think we should do it and show her what would happen if she is kicked out," B'Elanna said and Tom agreed with her.
"Who wants to take her tomorrow?" Tom asked.
"I'll take her in the morning, and you can take her un the afternoon," B'Elanna said.
Tom liked that idea because it would give them time to work without having a two-year-old with them. "I will get the other two to school tomorrow."
"B'Elanna nodded. "We'll exchange her in the afternoon."
"Okay," Tom stood and helped B'Elanna up. They made their way to bed. They each took a side of the bed while their daughter slept in the middle.
