Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, things didn't end so well for any faction really. Brainiac succeeded in collecting Metropolis, and in the process he seemingly took out not only Superman, but Spyro and Cynder as well. Everybody is left in the crater where Metropolis once stood as we ended last time. Something tells me this confrontation is not going to end well. Not even remotely. So how's it honestly going to shake down? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens at a giant hole in the ground, the crater formed when Brainiac finally succeeded in collecting the city of Metropolis, and right now, the Legion, Insurgency, and Republic are scanning the crater for any signs of Spyro and Cynder, who Brainiac seemingly vaporized while they were trying to fight off Superman. But so far, things aren't looking too good)

Blaze: (Looking to Batman) Any sign of them, Bruce?

Batman: I'm sorry, Blaze. There's nothing. It's almost like they were wiped from existence.

Ember: By the Ancestors...

Flame: If Brainiac could do that to Spyro and Cynder...

Shade: He couldn't have killed them. That's not possible.

Tundra: Shade, can we be sure of that? There's literally no trace of them anywhere in this crater.

Rokko: There's got to be another explanation.

Sizzle: I'm with Tundra on this one. This really seems hopeless.

(At hearing that phrase, Blaze just slams her paw into the ground)

Blaze: This situation isn't hopeless. Spyro and Cynder aren't dead. I'm sure of it. Brainiac must've collected them just like he did Metropolis.

Nekoto Wismer: Then that leaves one question. How the heck are we going to get to them?

Blaze: We've got to find a way into the Skull Ship.

Cheetah: That'll be harder than you think.

Blaze: (Noticing Cheetah is here) Wait, since when are you on our side? Just a few minutes ago you were trying to claw my throat out?

Cheetah: Long story, Nekoto here managed to suede me to your side.

Batman: Does this mean...

Cheetah: If you're going to imply my quest for revenge against Wonder Woman is over, you're crazier than I thought.

Hawkgirl: Join the club, sister.

Belial Aether: The Republic is always looking for new members.

Cheetah: Nekoto told me as much.

Belial Aether: Well, welcome aboard.

Blaze: Anyways, Cheetah, you were saying?

Cheetah: If what little Grodd told us is true, those shields are near impenetrable.

Captain Cold: I can confirm that much.

Deadshot: Me too.

Blaze: There's got to be something that can break through it.

Blitz: I'd bet Aether could.

Twirl: Too bad we don't have our Purple Dragon.

Blitz: Point.

Leroy: Then what's the plan?

(At this point, the Regime arrives to confront the three factions, shadows looming over them)

Wonder Woman: Your only plan should be to stand back and let the real heroes handle this.

Blaze: Heroes? Please. You lot haven't been heroes since the Regime began!

Robin: It's not like your methods are doing any better.

Bloodtar: Watch your tongue, Bird Brat. I can command your capillaries to turn to concrete you know.

Cyborg: (Points a sonic cannon at Bloodtar's head) Hard to do with no head.

Hydrar: (Prepares a stream of water) Back away from my brother unless you want to be a pile of rusted junk, Tin Man.

Wonder Woman: Face it, Dragon. You have failed.

Blaze: I'm getting tired of your attitude, Diana.

(At this moment, it looks like the Regime and the other three factions are about to throw down)

Blaze: In case you've forgotten, you're outnumbered.

(Wonder Woman doesn't even grace that with a response. But before the brawl can even start, Black Diamond emerges and tries to put a stop to this, standing between Blaze and Wonder Woman)

Black Diamond: Everyone, cease this madness! This is not the time for us to be fighting. Both sides have lost someone in all this. We need to come together against our common enemy.

Blaze: (To Black Diamond) Sounds like you need to be caught up on what's gone on here. There is no negotiation with the Regime. It's either their way or death.

Robin: At least our way actually works. Hard to recidivate when you're dead.

(At this point, unseen by anyone else, Blaze's gift from Dick Grayson activates, seeing a faint white mist, emanating from both Wonder Woman and Black Adam, the former's following her circulatory system. Her blood and his lightning are necessary to bring Dragnarok back. But right now, she's got other things on her mind)

Blaze: On the other hand, the new guy has a point. We have a common enemy in Brainiac. We need to focus on taking him out.

Black Adam: And you expect that to be enough to bring us together? Because there will be no alliance.

Blaze: We're just going to get nowhere if we're each fighting on two fronts. Don't get me wrong, once Brainiac is bested, we will sort one another out. But for now. We have to at least try and work together if we're going to get anywhere with this fight.

Wonder Woman: You've gone mad.

Black Diamond: On the contrary. The dragon is the most sane one here.

Blaze: I don't expect you to do this for me. Or for any of us. But I figure you'll probably do it for Superman.

(For a moment Wonder Woman does something very uncharacteristic of her. She hesitates. She mentally acknowledges that Blaze has a point.)

Wonder Woman: Very well then. But let this be known, this is no alliance. Merely a cease fire.

Blaze: Call it whatever you want. Just so long as we're not trying to kill each other until this Brainiac business is sorted.

(And with that, Wonder Woman and Blaze shake on that idea, much to Black Diamond's relief.)

Wonder Woman: You know where we are if you have a plan.

Blaze: And you us.

(With that almost preposterous situation out of the way, our scene ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to end for now. Well this was certainly unexpected. The Legion, Insurgency, Republic, and Regime have agreed to work together to stop Brainiac. Call it an alliance, a cease fire, or whatever you must, the point is clear. There's a common enemy, and we need all factions on deck for this. Is this going to end well at all? Honestly, I doubt it. But for specifics, tune in next time! Same time... same channel!
