Chapter 17: God of Love to Ash

Ash was preparing himself for his second date with Sueshie. After their time out at the beach, Sue suggested to Ash to have another date. "Is it too soon for another date?" asked Ash.

"Nah, it's all good," Touya scoffed. "Just be happy that you have Sue." Ash smiled before wondering.

"Say, not to sound jealous… but if you had to choose one of the girls, which one would it be?" The question made Touya ponder while Ash finished dressing himself wearing a new white tunic with a black leather vest over and navy blue slacks.

"Now, it's not that I don't love any of the girls… Far from it… I mean, I could also offer Elze if you want." A waiving hand was Ash's smiling reply. "But if forced to choose, I'd probably go with the first to propose to me. Ironically enough, it's from the same family." Ash blinked to Touya's suggestion.

"You mean Yumina?"

"Yep." A knock came from the door. "We're decent!" Opening the door, Charlotte, Pikachu and Bajra entered.

"How is Master Ash?" asked Charlotte.

"Just about ready," Touya replied.

"Sueshie is ready to go," Bajra barked. Interested, Ash and Touya left the room to see Sue coming up. She appeared in a white dress with the skirt reaching her shins. She also wore a puffy beret. Ash couldn't believe Sue's look.

"Whoa, Sue…" he gulped.

"You like?" wondered Sue. Ash nodded and giggled.

"I've managed to rent a carriage for you two," Touya announced. Ash and Sue cheered to the offer.

"Thanks, Touya!" she cheered as Yumina sneaked in and hoisted Pikachu.

"We'll keep Pikachu around here while you have your new date," she promised. Pikachu squeaked happily to the protection.

"I'm sure Pikachu will behave," Ash assured. Touya giggled to the notion. Ash and Sue soon entered the carriage with Rosetta at the reins. They relaxed as the carriage entered town. The early afternoon brought the carriage to a restaurant Sue wanted to try. The carriage left with Rosetta smiling greatly. They entered to have lunch and Sue began to have more interests about Ash.

"What kind of diner does your mom have?" she asked.

"It was my grandma's before she retired," Ash corrected. "You had your burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, fries… the usual stuff."

"What do you mean hot dogs and fries?"

"What they are, hot dogs are meat that is scrunched down to a roll about this long." He demonstrated with his fingers to show how big a hot dog was as well as how long it can be. "Fries, they're like potatoes shredded to be like the same length of no longer than hot dogs."

"Oh, okay. Did you have a favorite from her?" A giggle came from Ash.

"I don't have a favorite at all." The answer made Sue blink.

"You don't?"

"I've always been a fan of her cooking, so I don't have a favorite from her."

"Really? That's the same with me and when my mom cooks!" A gasping laugh lisped from Ash.

"You too, huh? Maybe if they meet, Mom could teach Ellen her Deep-Dish Chili Dog pizza." Sue looked confused.

"Chili Dog?"

"Mom cuts the hot dogs into little pieces before mixing it in with chili powder, onions, baked beans, chives…" Someone was listening in to the conversation.

"Oh, what's this about chili?" a waitress coming by wondered. Ash and Sue turned to the raven-haired waitress.

"I was explaining what goes on a pizza my mom makes back home," he spoke.

"Oh, Touya brought up pizza once when he visited our shoppes," the waitress remembered. "I heard about having peppers and onions on a pizza, but not chili." Ash explained in further detail about the Chili Dog Pizza. Sue awed Ash's knowledge before they had their lunch, being peppered grilled haddock with a garnish. They soon left after paying for their bill while holding hands. They entered a clothing boutique where Ash and Sue saw different shirts and dresses. One dress caught Ash's eye as he remained still while Sue admired dresses that had short sleeves. Ash snapped out of the gaze as Sue turned to him with a white sundress.

"Think I can wear this?" she asked. Ash giggled at the sundress before imagining it on Sue with sandals on.

"I can see it," he agreed. 'Though, that other dress I saw, it might fit Sue better. I won't say it just yet, I'm pretty anxious to have it in the future with something of my own.' Sue realized that Ash was in deep thought.

"Is something wrong?" Hearing his girlfriend, Ash shook his head.

"Nah, I'm just picturing our future if we keep going like this."

"Oh, okay! I was thinking you had something creepy in your head."

"That'd be more of Brock. If he saw those girls, I'd imagine how he'd be."

"As you have told us before…" The two giggled as Sue eyed some wardrobe that made Sue picture. 'Oh, I can't wait for Ash to wear that! Imagine how suave he'd look in that!' She broke her train of thought as Ash turned to her.

"Did something catch your eye?" Hearing her boyfriend, Sue shook her head.

"Not really."

"Okay!" As Ash and Sue continued to shop around, Jigglypuff returned to the mansion. She looked defeated after sometime away from the mansion after singing to the girls, causing them to sleep.

"Oh, what's this?" wondered Laim. Jigglypuff could barely hold her microphone. "You must be one of those Pokémon that Master Ash knows. I think I can bring you in and give you some dessert." He brought Jigglypuff in before they heard doors slamming.

("They remember?") the Balloon Pokémon wondered. Yae opened the door, only to peer her head out.

"Why would you bring Jigglypuff inside after what she did!?" she spat. She slammed the door again. Laim and Jigglypuff looked confused to their claims.

"Apparently, there is some history between you and everyone else that I don't understand," he sighed. A door reopened, Linze coming out. She faced the butler and Balloon Pokémon.

"Would you come with me, Jigglypuff?" she asked. "I would like to feed you and understand you better." Jigglypuff seemed perplexed to the offer. At a sweets shoppe, Ash and Sue were enjoying ice cream. Ash had chocolate and Sue had vanilla.

"Touya used his smartphone to explain what goes in ice cream, huh?" he asked.

"That's what Aer said," Sue relayed. "Say, Brock is one of those who can cook, right?"

"Yeah, though I'm surprised that you want to bring him up like that."

"Well, someone should cook for him if he doesn't feel good." A laugh came from Ash. "What, did I say something wrong?"

"No, it reminds me of a time Misty tried to cook when he really wasn't feeling good. She made a stew that was a serious waste. She put 47 ingredients into it… and Ho-oh have mercy if anyone enjoyed it. Luckily, my Pokémon and I found enough apples to keep from going hungry. It was painful enough watching Misty try two spoonfuls of it." The memory caused Sue to laugh.

"I think Aer would've had a strong talking to against Misty," Micah voiced. Ash and Sue turned to Micah who visited.

"Hey, Micah," Ash greeted. "Everything at the Silver Moon Inn going okay?"

"It is," Micah smiled. "And it looks like you're on a date with Sue, huh?"

"We are," Sue confirmed.

"I'll say," Micah laughed. "Part of me wants to invite you over to the inn for you two to have any private time. Of course, I'm still willing to offer Pikachu a chance to stay with me for a night."

"I'm sure Pikachu wouldn't mind," Ash smiled. That's when Sue had an idea.

"Here…" she offered as Ash turned back. A spoonful of ice cream was offered. Ash giggled a little before eating it off of the spoon as Micah had a giggle of her own. Ash took the spoon for him to scoop some of his ice cream before offering it to Sue who copied and ate.

"That's one of the cutest indirect kisses I've seen," Micah spoke while laughing. Ash and Sue gulped before having a laugh of their own. Someone was watching from the corner. Back at the mansion, Jigglypuff seemed satisfied with the fruits that Linze offered.

"I was told that you wanted people to listen to you sing," she remembered.

("I still do,") Jigglypuff wished.

"Well, the thing about it is that what you're singing are lullabies. It does put those people to sleep. I know that it feels frustrating that your audience goes to sleep when they hear you sing."

("At least you get it.") That's when Linze remembered something from before.

"Could you imagine singing to babies that won't fall asleep? See, one of Touya's girls here has her mother who's about to have her second child real soon. Babies like the one coming to life will need plenty of sleep like everyone here does."

("Oh, really?") That's when Elze and Pikachu entered to see the two in discussion.

"Why am I in disbelief that you'd bring her in?" wondered Elze.

"Because I want to get to the bottom of why her singing is putting everyone to bed prematurely," Linze replied. "I do want to think that she doesn't know that she's singing lullabies." Pikachu hopped to meet Jigglypuff, a Pokémon to another. "I did acknowledge that we all need sleep and did bring up Queen Yuel's pregnancy."

("She's a queen?") gawked Jigglypuff.

("And a nice queen to boot,") Pikachu replied. ("You should see the duchess, or her sister-in-law, but just as pretty.") Jigglypuff awed the idea as Treasure arrived.

"Ah, is this another Pokémon?" he wondered. Pikachu squeaked to confirm.

"I'd be careful of her, Treasure," Elze warned. "She can put you to sleep before you're marked, same with the other Divine Beasts."

"And that's including in your true forms," Linze added. "Still, I'd like to keep her around." She proved her word by scooping and hugging Jigglypuff. The puffball felt happy to the gesture.

"You can't be serious," Elze doubted.

"And I wanted to believe you could be Master's second woman, Elze," Treasure remarked. Elze replied with a hammer fist to Treasure's head. Stars were in his eyes as he hit the table with a thud. Pikachu shook his head. At a park, Ash and Sue held their hands again while they journeyed down it.

"I couldn't pick a better day for us to go on this date," Sue giggled.

"Tell me about it," Ash giggled as well. "And that we can explore more of this country." As they journeyed, the God of Love appeared wearing a purple dress with a white cloak and lavender linens.

"Oh my goodness," she awed as she came to the two. "Aren't you two such an adorable couple so young!" Ash and Sue snorted laughs.

"Karen, how's it been?" asked Sue.

"I'm excellent," she replied. "I'm surprised that you're going out with him instead of my brother." Ash irked to the information.

"Wait, what do you mean?" he questioned. The God of Love irked to the reply.

"Let me explain myself," she tried to ease. "I'm Mochizuki Karen, sister to Touya." Ash awed and realized the connection that was a lie.

"Oh, that explains a lot," Ash smiled. "I had no idea that Touya had a sister."

"He's probably just shy to think you'd choose me for some reason," the God of Love pondered. "Anyway, he told me about you, Ash…" That's when she noticed that Pikachu wasn't with him. "But shouldn't you have your mouse on hand?"

"Pikachu's back at the mansion," Sue clarified. "Besides, he feels safe with everyone else there."

"Oh, I see…" the God of Love figured. "I'll probably go and visit to see him."

"He'll definitely like you," Ash promised.

"Well, before I do," the God of Love started. "Let me give you something." She kissed Ash on the forehead while Sue giggled some more. That's when she heard Ash's voice in his head.

'I couldn't have found love like this before I met Sue,' he thought. 'No doubt Mom would like her too. I want to have her forever.' The God of Love removed her lips before facing Ash again.

"A friend, and especially a cute one, of my brother's will be loved for a long time," she mentioned. "At least to my degree." Ash's face was beet red from the God of Love's kiss. She left to allow Ash and Sue to finish the date. The evening was approaching.

"This was a great day for us," Ash mentioned as they sat at a bench. "I want to spend more time together and maybe bring you to the Pokémon World to view more of my friends, even some Gym Leaders."

"Are you thinking about giving away more of Touya's girls to them?" wondered Sue.

"Not at all, they're free to choose. It'd be like saying Elze would be a nice fit for Ritchie… and he and I couldn't be more alike as he has a Pikachu as well named Sparky."

"Oh, that's a cute name. So, you can name Pokémon that you've caught, huh? Maybe I can have my own Pikachu and name it something as adorable as Sparky." The two chuckled to the thought.

"Well, I wish this day could last longer. After all, who else would I go after here?"

"Take your pick. There's Lu, Elze, Yae, Arma…"

"Right? Still, I want it to be you and you only."

"As do I." They soon locked lips, enjoying a kiss as did everyone around who cooed at the sight. Ash and Sue seemed to notice before blushing. Some of the young adults offered prayers to the pair before they returned back to the mansion. Upon arrival, Linze and Jigglypuff were the first to greet them.

"Welcome back, you two!" she greeted. Ash and Sue gawked to the sight.

"Jigglypuff!?" they noticed.

"It's okay," Linze assured. "See, I helped explain to Jigglypuff about her singing and how it's all lullabies. She wants to see about new options in genres that Touya can provide." Ash came to Jigglypuff and petted the hair.

"You seem to be wanting to be your trainer, huh?" he guessed.

("Can I?") she wondered. Ash smiled and pondered on what to do.

"I have some empty Pokéballs that you can use to catch and own Jigglypuff," he offered.

"Oh, could you?" requested Linze.

"Absolutely," Ash allowed. "Come, it's in my room." They all entered where the Divine Beasts saw Jigglypuff get tapped by a Pokéball before it morphed into a light and entered. When there was a chime, Ash confirmed to Linze that Jigglypuff was her Pokémon. She hugged and kissed Ash on the cheek, causing him to blush. Outside on a balcony, Ash gazed to the moon before Touya saw him.

"You sure had one heck of a nice date with Sue today, huh?" he asked. Ash looked to see Touya approaching.

"You don't know the half of it, Touya," he replied. "It was a great day for the two of us, even with or without meeting your sister." Touya itched his head, knowing that it was the God of Love. Ash looked back to the moon and contemptibly sighed. "In fact, it helped me with a very important decision I'm making." Touya became interested.

"What's that?" Pushing off the railing, Ash continued to look to the moon.

"First, could we please visit Alfred and Ellen?"

"We can, but what for?"

"See, I wanna talk to them and…" Rather than speak openly, Ash whispered to Touta's ear. His eyes exploded to knowing Ash's wish. He leaped back.

"No way! Are you serious!? Like serious serious!?"

"Absolutely seriously!" A burst of laughter came from Touya.

"Deal… I certainly can't imagine how those two'll take to this."

"Neither can I to be frank." He started to enter the mansion for the night. "Well, I'll be with Sue again. Night."

"Night, Ash." The mansion's lights turned off while Charlotte slept with Pikachu and Linze with her new Pokémon while Ash and Sue slept together to end their date.

TO BE CONTINUED… IN 2025.

(That will do it for the year of stories, but I'll do a one-shot before Christmas. Prepare for a cooing good time.)
