![]() Author has written 11 stories for Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Avengers. Hello everyone, Before we dive in, let me introduce myself. I’m HPFanfictioner66, your friendly neighborhood fanfic author. I write fanfiction across several fandoms that I absolutely adore. My main obsessions are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson & the Olympians (PJO), and Marvel (both the cinematic and comic universes). My fanfic journey began with Harry Potter and quickly expanded into other fandoms, including crossovers. These days, I mostly read long, immersive fics, but I also have a soft spot for well-written one-shots and short stories. Happy endings? Count me in! If a story is well-crafted, with a satisfying plot and that sweet, yearning buildup to a happy conclusion, I’m hooked. I also have a deep appreciation for clever storytelling—those subtle clues scattered throughout a story that foreshadow a bigger plot twist, only to be fully appreciated on a second read. That’s the kind of magic I live for as both a writer and a reader. Yes, I do reread fics which I love. There are a few fics I've read a dozen times and will continue to do so as and when it strikes my fancy. There are a few things I am partial to though, including characters and plotlines: 1. A powerful antagonist and protagonist: It just balances each other out and is lovely to read and experience in the long run. I do not like characters winning, based on sheer-dumb luck and I believe in strife and hard work to achieve a goal. 2. Family and Friendships: I always say that family and friends are what defines a character. The people around them, the ones they love are what matter. I myself incorporate the theme in my stories, living for the nice wholesomeness it brings. 3. A nice romance: It adds a flavor to a fic like none other. While not strictly necessary, it has the power to complement a story like none other do. 4. Conflicting characters and anti-heroes: A person who fights for the good side and doesn't mind being bad while doing it? That can be an absolute gem when written well, I feel. While it won't be my go-to for the protagonist, a side-character who's an anti-hero? It can make everything all the more interesting. 5. A well placed death: I know, a rather unique opinion here, which many might disagree with. I love a well-placed death for one very important reason: Characters are more than words on a page. They have their own emotions, their own goals, and their own life. And everyone at some point or the other, has to deal with loss. A well-placed death can enhance the characterization, and thus, the story itself, elevating them. It can have an impact that changes the course of a story and provide meaning to the character's goals, and their struggles. 6. A lot of other things: Well, this is my way of saying etcetera, but I do like a lot of different stuff, which also varies from story to story at times. What I like in one, I might hate in another. At the end, it depends on the story, and how the authors tell it. I will, despite my preferences, always enjoy reading a story with a good plot and good writing. Now, coming to one other thing. Favorite characters. Oh, I can go on over this all day. But my top characters: 1. Albus Dumbledore: An old, wise mentor, who can be depicted in many flavors and varying stances. He is one of the most powerful wizards in Harry Potter, and I feel, also, the most interesting if you look at him from afar. Dumbledore's a character who can be loved and hated at the same time, because of what he does and how he does it. But I feel, above all, Dumbledore is a good person, whose methods might be flawed but intentions aren't. Then again, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. He's a conflicting character at the end and if represented well, can work wonders. Oh, and I also love all his quotes and his persona as the witty, somewhat senile old man. 2. Minerva McGonagall: Sassy, dangerous, kind, brave, strict, and fierce, all in a single character. What else do you want? McGonagall is one of my beloved characters, one with no equal. Also, she can scare most into submission with one single glare. If not, transfigure them into something and walk it off. Not to mention, tear people apart with a single sentence, for instance, Dolores Umbridge, which is a smackdown we all loved. 3. Rubeus Hagrid: A gentle giant who was always there for Harry and loved him to bits and never expected anything in return. He went through his fair share of suffering but at the end, was always there with a smile of his face and kindness in his heart. His very presence makes the fandom a beauty, one which I adore. 4. Hedwig: She need no introduction, and no explanation I feel. The most loyal and beautiful owl in the world. And to quote myself, Harry's best girl. 5. Hestia: Coming into the PJO fandom, the goddess of home and hearth needs little introduction to all the fans of PJO out there. She's the kindest, loveliest goddess in the whole fandom, one with no equal. 6. Artemis: The goddess of the hunt and the moon is an intriguing character. An eternal maiden, and one of the most powerful goddesses, with love and compassion in her heart. She went nearly nuclear when Zoe died and the main reason that I love her is that she treats her huntresses like her sisters and most importantly, her family. Also, I love Pertemis pairing because Percy and Artemis complement each other: A swordsman and an archer. The sea and the sky. It is a match I love reading. 7. Zoe Nightshade: The ultimate example that people can change and for the better and rise above themselves and their heritage. One of the truest, bravest heroes who went on the quest to save her goddess despite knowing that she was to die. She stood her ground against her own father as poison spread through her veins and helped the other heroes till her dying breath. 8. Nico Di Angelo: When Percy fell into Tartarus, he had Annabeth to walk through it. Nico went in by his own accord, alone. Which is bravery beyond measure. 9. Tony Stark: Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist. The man needs no introduction. He's snarky, he's sassy, he's a brilliant engineer, and one of the smartest men on the planet. Also, he constant learns from his mistakes and improves. He has his fair share of issues. He is the kind of character no one should like but everyone loves. And RDJ, in the MCU bought the character to life, making Tony Stark a fan-favorite forever. 10. Loki: The god of magic and mischief and the greatest and the best anti-hero of the MCU and at times, even in the marvel comics. I feel that Loki is the most intriguing character in the whole of MCU and the recent series and its sequel were the best thing to happen post Endgame. Even in the comics, he's a character who is well loved and hated in equal measure. As I say, conflicting characters are the ones who make the story more interesting. 11. Stephen Strange: The Sorcerer Supreme, and in many comics and timelines, the lord of time, he is one of the greatest protectors of reality and a chess master to boot. He is much like Tony, with all his pop-culture references, snark, and a massive ego to boot. But he is the best at what he does, much like Tony is and he'll lay his life down to protect Earth. 12. Natasha Romanoff: Arguably the most dangerous Avenger. She doesn't have super-powers or super-aim or a high-tech suit. All she has is her wit, cunning, and skills. Skills enough to beat the silver tongue at his own game, keep the black panther down, face the winter soldier, and all the Avengers level threats which would've made most agents run. She's also a character who has one of the darkest past and has risen above it, becoming an Avenger. There are a lot of other characters I love, but these were like top 4 from each of my main fandoms. Now, enough about me, and let's come to my works. You can check out all my works here, and I implore you to try them out. I update the stories regularly, on a rotational basis. Do leave your reviews, expressing your thoughts and feelings. I did love to hear from you, and it always makes my day to see that you are enjoying my works. I also cross-post all my stories on Archive of our Own under the same pen name. Right now, I have five main fics: 1. The Rise of the Last Potter: It is my first story which is still going strong after three years. It is almost 500 words in and qualifies as a full-length series in itself. I won't lie when I say that the first few chapters are a bit rough, but it gets better as it progresses. It is currently in its final arc but is still a while away from its end. Features a world-wide war, titans of magic, obscure magical theory, phoenix Hedwig and more! 2. The Legend of the Son of Poseidon: LoSP is my Percy Jackson fic, which, admittedly is one of the most loved fics in the fandom right now. Featuring a completely fresh take on a lot of things, it will be a treat for you to read. It is also over 400k words in and nearing its end. But a sequel is planned, that will cover the events of the Giant War, so there is a lot more to come. 3. Guardian of the Soul: Infinity Saga: GotSIS is the story you must read if you are into HPX MCU crossovers. It features a never seen before storyline and a plot that will have you hooked (Readers' words, not mine:)). So, what are you waiting for? Get on the wagon and give it a whirl! 4. Agent Potter- Wizard of W.A.N.D: Agent Potter is a shorter fic as compared to the other three and completed. Set post-Hogwarts, it is one of a kind, featuring Spy!Harry and Spy!Daphne. I won't say much about it though. 5. Black Dawn: This is my newest work, so, you can join me here from the very beginning. It starts from Halloween 1981, and continues from there on, encompassing several different journeys, and giving lives to characters like none other. Features an Arcturus Black raised Harry, a new take on Dumbledore, and a lot more unique themes, which you'll have to find out by reading it yourself! You can find multiple short stories (one shots) too which have been published on the profile. They are a lovely snack to feast on! For more such content, you can visit the following sites: Discord: I have created a discord server for the community to gather and for you all to stay in touch with me. It is an active community boasting over 1500 members. I will love it if you come on my server and interact with me there.
