(Third-Person POV)
*In the Mushroom Planet, the sun begins to rise & the mushrooms begin to grow. Just then, one red mushroom with white spot rises up to another mushroom, causing it to tip what appears to be a small rock over. The rock rolls & bumps into a small mushroom, which rolls into another mushroom, & it bumps into another mushroom. Then the last mushroom bumps into a round rock. The rock then bumps into four rocks in a line, & one falls into a gear made mushroom. The gears move & cause the round bucket to tip, releasing the water inside. The water pours into the bottom of another mushroom tied to a rope, making it lower & hitting the ground. The water picks up a tiny mushroom which floats downhill into a spoon like contraption made out of mushroom which turns & drops it into another The spoon like contraption drops with the other end rising & bumping into a line of mushrooms that grow in size until the largest lands on a blower like plant which blows at a large round rock. The rock then rolls & bumps into a cable car like contraption which reveals to be holding something inside. The rock rolls into the background as the cable car contraption is taken downward revealing a cart made out of mushroom. The cable car contraption bumps into a platform shaped rock & opens to allow the cart to roll out revealing a pair of small figures that look like Sonic & Ayla in front of it as we see the rock roll in the background. The cart rolls forward as it runs into a column of sticks which fall down making mushroom cups to drop berry like fruit into the cart. The cart then bumps into a rock tossing the figure & fruit out and into a juicer like contraption with thorns in it as the rock drops on it crushing the content revealing a classic Eggman Empire logo painted on it. The content soon turns into liquid & pours into a cup. Then, someone picks up the cup, to reveal to be Dr. Robotnik, still alive and surviving on the Mushroom Planet after being trapped there. He took a seat in front of his Eggpod & looked over the horizon*
Dr. Robotnik: Doctor's log. It is day 243 in this, portabello purgatory. *he took out the quill he stole from Sonic used it to stir his drink* My only companion is a rock I named 'Stone.' *he turned to a rock with a face on it & tapped the side of the cup with the quill* The question is, for whom am I narrating this? *he took a sip from the cup & got electrocuted* It seems I have become a feature player in the theater of the absurd. Marooned in deep space by those wretched blue rodents. But it is all good thanks to a breathable atmosphere and my supreme intellect, sharpened against the only competitor savvy enough to br-r-r-r-ring it. *he turned to a chess board with mushrooms for pieces* Chanterelle to D4. *turns out he was playing against his own reflection which was in a rock with a reflective surface* Hmm? *he picked up the cup* I have been striving to make fungi into a functional drink of choice . . . Mushroom coffee. *he took a sip & spit it out. he took another sip & spit it out again* with limited. *he sipped from a different cup & spit it out* Limited. *same result with a different cup* Limited. *same with a different cup* Success. *he tried a different cup & slowly spit it out. then he picked up a wire from the EggPod* But today, day 243 has brought a new optimism to my most pressing endeavor! *he turned to what looked like a satellite transceiver made of large mushroom & a pole* Planetus exodus to returnecus and KICK HEDGEHO BUTTECUS! *he climbed up the mushroom to a monitor screen at the top & pressed a few buttons on a keyboard* If my calculations are correct, and there is no reason to say this, because they always are. *he took out a jumper cable with Sonic's quill in it's pincers* This quill is going to power my masterpiece. *he took out another jumper cable* Let's light this candle, and see who comes a-knocking.
*He put the two cables together & a surge of blue energy went up the satellite. It then sent out a blast of blue energy, causing the Doctor to scream & get throw to the ground below, getting knocked unconscious*
*The blast also sent a wave of blue energy that went across a blue line that reached out into space*
*That night, Robotnik was still unconscious. Suddenly, a Ring portal appeared & opened wide. A spear slowly started to come out of it. Then three big aliens appeared & made their way towards Robotnik. One of them poked him with his spear & started to reach for the quill in his hand. Suddenly, Robotnik woke up*
Dr. Robotnik: Greetings! *the three aliens back away & he pulled a rope to activate a trap, which sent one of them flying* Klatuu Barata Nikto! *he pulled another rope & activated another trap that hit the second alien. the third alien pulled out two weapons & went to attack Robotnik* Agent Stone. Now. *the Eggpod engines burns a rope that is connected to a catapult that is holds 'Stone, sending it flying and hit the alien in the face, knocking him out* Hey, Stone! It's time to say goodbye to this PIECE OF SHIITAKE PLANET!
*He put the quill to his face & ran towards the Ring portal. Suddenly, a red male echidna with purple eyes & peach skin, wearing white boxing gloves with two spikes on each & red, green, & yellow shoes came out of the Ring portal, causing Robotnik to stop in his tracks. The echidna's eyes glowed red as he stepped up to Robotnik & noticed the quill in his hand*
Knuckles: Where did you get that!?
*Robotnik looked at the quill in his hand & held it up*
Dr. Robotnik: From one of two little blue menaces on the planet called Earth. I'd be happy to show you the way.
(Ayla's POV)
*Eight months have gone by since we defeated Robotnik & settled in on Earth. Right now, Sonic & I were in Seattle. Sonic was there to stop a robbery he heard about on the radio & I was there ( wearing my disguise (look up "Ayla - Audience Disguise" by "SwanGirl24" on "DeviantArt")) to make sure he stayed out of trouble & there was minimal damage. We were standing on the roof of a building, watching the police chase the perps, who were throwing dynamite at them*
Ayla: I still think we should leave this to the cops.
Sonic: Come on, sis. Where's the fun in that? It's time to be heroes! *I groaned. I knew it was hopeless to talk him out of it now. he started stretching & I got out my board. blue sparks flew out him as he did jumps. he ate a chili dog & popped a piece of mint gum in my mouth. then we jumped off the building. Sonic zooming down the side & I gliding down on my hoverboard. we landed on the ground, Sonic making airplane noises as we zoomed down the street* Watch out! 'Cuse me! Pardon me! Coming through!
Ayla: Excuse us! Sorry! One side please!
*We made to it the truck & Sonic went up to the front seat*
Sonic: Good evening, gentlemen. Mind if I drive?
*He kicked them out & took the wheel. The back of the truck opened & one of the robbers fell out, hanging on to the door. I quickly noticed & threw him towards the side, where he landed on a pile of garbage*
Ayla: Sorry!
Sonic: You better buckle up! *he started driving the truck. He made a hard right turn, which caused one of the two other robbers still in the truck dropped a piece of lit dynamite. I quickly picked up the dynamite, got back on my hoverboard, zoomed away from the truck & threw it high into the air, where it exploded like a firework. I then made my way back to the truck* How we doing back there?
Ayla: Fine! No casualties so far!
*Sonic made another hard turn, which sent the robbers towards the wall, hard. It made me laugh a little*
Sonic: And now this way! *he made another turn & made the robbers hit the other wall hard. some of the money started flying out, but I caught most of it. that's when I noticed a hostage tied up & with duct tape over his mouth. he looked shocked at the sight of Sonic. I started to untie him* Oh, I'm sorry, I don't speak duct tape.
Ayla: Sonic! Focus on the road!
Sonic: Right, right.
*I got the tape off the hostage's mouth*
Hostage: What the heck is that thing?!
Ayla: Long story. *we both looked ahead & our eyes went wide* Uh . . . Sonic.
Sonic: Fear not, citizen. I am the hero you need and the hero you deserve. The blue dawn that banishes the darkest -
Ayla: SONIC, WATCH OUT!
*He turned back to the road & saw a woman in a white coat crossing the street*
Sonic: HOLY CRAP!
*He made a really hard turn to avoid her*
Truck Security Guard: Turn, turn, turn!
*We barely managed to avoid her*
Sonic: Don't worry! Nobody's gonna get hurt!
Ayla: Good. So let's keep it that way by getting out of here & leave this to the police!
Truck Security Guard: Yeah! I'm with her! Why didn't you just leave this to the police!?
Sonic: Because that's not what heroes do!
*I face-palmed. Just then, I noticed something
Ayla: Uh, Sonic. We got trouble!
Truck Security Guard: Bombs! Bombs! They're bombs! Those are bombs!
Sonic: Relax, they're not even lit! So I'll say again, nobody's gonna get - *Suddenly, the bombs somehow got lit* Ahh! I was wrong! We're all gonna die!
Truck Security Guard: Why aren't you slowing down?!
Sonic: That would require breaks!
*He pressed on the breaks, but they weren't working. I picked up the bag*
Sonic: Careful sis, those are hot!
Ayla: I don't need you to tell me to be careful!
*I got back on my board, zoomed out of the truck, & up the side of a tall building. I spun around & threw the bag high in the air. All the bombs exploded in the air & then I went back to the truck*
Sonic: Thank you very much! Please hold your applause!
*I am so gonna kill him if we get out here slive. Just then, I heard the sound of something hissing. I looked down & saw another bomb*
Truck Security Guard: There's one bomb left! *Sonic & the guard started looking around for the bomb. I took the wheel of the truck* Did you check under the seat?
Sonic: Of course I checked under the seat!
Truck Security Guard: You're terrible that this!
Sonic: You know what? Your negative attitude is not helping anyone!
*Just then, the noticed something in the rear view mirror. It was smoke coming out of Sonic's quills*
Ayla: Sonic! It's in your quills!
*He spun around & got the bomb out of his quills*
Sonic: Aha! I can never find anything in here! *before I could grab it, he threw the bomb in the sewer* See? I told you no one would get hurt!
*I looked ahead & my eyes went wide*
Ayla: Oh yeah! Tell that to them!
*We were heading towards a group of people near an ice cream truck*
Sonic: Holy sherbet! *he looked around & found a bag of power tools* Oh hello! *he zoomed up to the roof* Don't panic! This is only a drill!
*He started taking the truck apart with the power drill. I could tell that this was going to end badly, so I turned to the e guard*
Ayla: Listen, I need to to steer!
Truck Security Guard: But there are no breaks!
Ayla: I know! I just need to steer the truck away from the pedestrians! I'm going to get ahead and clear the area! Now let's move!
Truck Security Guard: O - Okay!
*He quickly got in the front & I got on my board. I zoomed towards the people & stopped*
Ayla: Everybody clear the area now! Out of control truck coming this way! Move, move, move! *everyone saw the truck coming & started to run. but there was a little boy, holding a ice cream cone with two scoops in strawberry ice cream, frozen in place. I quickly grabbed him & took him out of the way, while making sure he didn't drop his ice cream* You okay, kid?
Little Boy: Y - Yeah. I'm okay.
*Suddenly, the bomb in the sewer went off, causing water to shoot out like geysers. I shielded the boy from the water. The robbers managed to get through the back of the truck, but we're stopped by the police*
Sonic: No need to thank me, citizens. All in a night's work for . . . Blue Justice! And my sidekick, Guardian Angel!
Ayla: Who are you calling sidekick!?
Truck Security Guard: You're a terrible hero! If anybody was the real hero tonight, *he pointed at me* it was her!
*At those words, the crowd started cheering. I blushed at all the praise. My brother just laughed it off & zoomed away*
Ayla: So . . . Good night, folks! Sorry about the mess!
*I got on my board & zoomed after him. Behind me, I could hear the kid I saved calling*
Little Boy: Thank you, Guardian Angel!
*I gave him a quick wave to him & continued after Sonic*
